"“Where Good Friends Party Hardy” is written on the awning in front of Call Box in East Williamsburg, and while we can’t say we’d have chosen that wording, the idea definitely feels accurate. This dark, cash-only spot has a small dance floor that tends to be packed with groups singing along to music playing from someone’s iPhone plugged directly into the speakers (if they don’t have a DJ that night). Sure, you may break a sweat and partially lose your voice belting out the chorus to ’80s and ’90s hits all night, but you won’t be the only one. And if you need a break, get a cheap beer and take some pictures in the photobooth that works about 60% of the time." - Matt Tervooren

Cheap drinks. Old school workman atmosphere. Got felt up on the way in... looking for weapons, I presume. With the hipster crowd, can't imagine finding more than a hit tin of pomade. Staff plopped down a few free pizza pies for the patrons to eat! Aces!

We came here for football, and we were surprised that there were so few customers. It was peaceful: there were at least 15 TVS on the main wall with all the games playing, they offered us free food, and they sell the cheapest beers that I've seen in NYC. Downside: the bartender joking that he would shoot a TV if the Jets lost.

Dive-bar atmosphere. Bartenders look old & worn down (like the building), but it adds to the charm. Drinks are STRONG & CHEAP! Only downside is sometimes the locals feel too comfortable there and act like it's their personal bar... for example, there is one chick that insists on playing her ipod for the whole bar. As in, she will unplug the speakers and plug her ipod directly into it... no one ever stops her. And it's always weird music. Just leave when this rando girl shows up and you should be good to go!

A great place to grab a drink after crossing the Kosciuszko Bridge. There are many TVs inside the Call Box Lounge. I can't wait to return during the NBA or NFL season.

This place is a total dive but DIRT CHEAP. You can get a bucket of bud lights for $20! And, there's a McDonald's across the street - convenient for a late night snack.

Drinks were cheap. Some people commandeered the music. They did not have good taste and we could not regain control from their bad music Monopoly

Great local "old man" bar, which are a dying breed now in this area. Good spot to watch NFL Sunday's with the locals, and great spot for cheap beer and booze.

Cold brew Cheap prices in an expensive hipster area. Awesome old school dive. Random free barbecues. Caters to All.
