Miami’s 15 Hottest New Happy Hours

"At this Cuban cabaret, every Wednesday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., guests can stop by for happy hour to enjoy bites such as empanadillas de lechón, papas bravas, and kimchi rice spring rolls for $6, or Chinese pork belly and maduros for $8. To drink? Think $6 Stella Artois, $7 wines or $8 cocktails like the mojito and margarita." - Olee Fowler

My husband and I stumbled in here for dinner 1 night ago and we were in such awe that we returned today and brought my family. The live band was excellent! The food was beautiful and delicious and this restaurant currently has the best Miami Spice deal in all of Miami, in my opinion. You can tell they put a lot of thought into every detail in this restaurant, specially the presentation. Also the staff is incredibly kind and friendly. Our server Lisandra was wonderful and made sure my mom’s husband felt special on his birthday. We will be back again and again.

I first went to Calle Dragones when they first opened years ago and the food, service, entertainment, and ambiance were all amazing. However, the prices were a little high. I recently went back and the prices are now much more reasonable and if you can believe it, the food is even better! I highly recommend that you give this place a try, especially during Happy Hour (check out Wednesdays where the Happy Hour extends until closing at the bar)! Also, check out the Miami Spice menu!

Could not have a had a better experience here! They treated us with such hospitality, love, attention, and care! Every single person involved went above and beyond. The food and drinks were delicious. I can’t wait to be back here!

This place was awesome! It's gigantic, live music, amazing service and good food! Went with family and friends for the first time and we loved the vibes! Thank you Roberto and Guillermo!

Food was DELICIOUS. The mushroom ruffle pasta and lechon dumplings were my favorite. It is definitely a unique spot in the streets of little Havana. I felt like I time traveled to the early 20s. It’s definitely a place I will return back to.

Went for Miami Spice and the vibes, food and service were absolutely top notch. Amazing! Lisandra was our server and she was a joy. The place is beautiful to boot.

Google
A Perfect Celebration at Calle Dragones! We were a large party of 30 celebrating my auntie’s 60th birthday, and booking Calle Dragones was the best decision we could have made. From start to finish, everything was exceptional—the service, the food, the music, and the overall ambiance were all a perfect 10/10. As a vegan, I truly appreciated how the kitchen went above and beyond to accommodate delicious plant-based options. Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, an anniversary, or just gathering with friends, I highly recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed! We danced, we laughed, and we had an amazing time. Thank you, Calle Dragones, for making this night so special!

I visited Calle Dragonnes for a Valentine’s dinner with my husband, and while the ambiance and decor were impressive, the food fell short. We tried the crispy octopus on a bed of mashed yuca, lamb shanks, lechon dumplings, potatoes and corvina fish. The dishes were not complete because there were no vegetables to choose from in the menu. There were no vegetables at all. The presentation of food was amazing, but unfortunately, the dishes lacked flavor. The mojito and daiquiri we ordered were also weak. We were hoping for traditional desserts like tres leche or flan, but none were available. The restaurant had great potential with its beautiful setup, but it was surprisingly empty for Valentine’s Day, and communication was difficult as most of the servers only spoke Spanish. I tried my best and my husband did pretty great communicating. The highlight of the night was the photographer who took pictures, and we purchased two for $40. While the food was just okay, the ambiance made up for it, and I still enjoyed the evening because of my husband!!! Our bill was over $200 with a 20% service charge and we did not leave as content as we usually do. I would love to see this place live up to its full potential.

Yelp
This is a solid 5 star experience, through and through. The food, the service, the drinks, the entertainment, the atmosphere, the decor... Showed up at 6pm and we were so enthralled that we continued to order food and drinks in order to stay for the live music (live music with dinner begins closer to 8pm). Brought our kids who also loved every moment! Food is fantastic and the drinks are super strong. We felt like we were long term customers based on how we were treated - seriously felt like old friends the entire night. We will be back next week when more family comes into town!

Yelp
Came to celebrate a friend's birthday, stayed and enjoyed delish food & craft cocktails. The black bean risotto & vaca frita was flavorful and plentiful! Great ambience, and the nostalgia Cuba decor adds to the supperclub vibes.

Yelp
A great place for a celebration. We celebrated a bday and the food and service was terrific. Highly recommend the coffee rubbed steak, risotto ropa vieja, and duck fried rice. Yum!!

Yelp
Calle Dragones is a hidden gem that brings the vibrant spirit of Cuba and Latin America right into the heart of Miami. From the moment you walk in, you're transported by the lively decor and authentic atmosphere that perfectly sets the tone for a fun and flavorful experience. The menu offers a fantastic range of dishes with a Cuban twist, and everything we tried was bursting with flavor. The ropa vieja was tender and juicy, with a depth of flavor that made it clear this dish was made with care. We also enjoyed the ceviche, which was fresh and tangy, perfectly balancing citrus and spice. The cocktails were outstanding--creative, refreshing, and served with flair. We tried the mojito and a rum-based cocktail with tropical fruit, both of which complemented the food wonderfully.

Yelp
my friends and I stumbled upon this place when the restaurant we were going to was closed for a private event. It was a pleasant surprise. It is uniquely designed, and you can tell that time has gone into it. The staff was super friendly, very attentive from the start. We sat at the bar which had a nice vibe and good music. The food was very tasty and delicious and Asian Cuban fusion style menu. It does cater to larger groups and it's fine for small parties. It is a little bit pricey, but that can be expected as little Havana is quite touristic.

Yelp
We came on a Friday afternoon. Super cool spot with an exotic decor and great Cuban music. Even though we arrived at 5:15pm, they sat us in the large, empty, main seating area. We of course were there for happy hour, but they don't offer happy hour in the restaurant area, only the bar. There was such a difference in prices that we got up and went to the bar area. Drinks and bar bites were very good, especially the lychee martini! Would not come for dinner with such high prices, but the happy hour is totally worth it.

Yelp
Truly a hidden gem on the quieter side of Calle Ocho. With limited street parking and live performances later in the evening, this is definitely a first stop of the night kind of place for me. They have happy hour from 5pm-7:30pm, and on the weekend we went, we were the only party there for the majority of that time frame. I almost don't want to share the secret of Calle Dragones, but I want them to stick around. Their indoor space is decorated like a theater, with sculptures and velvet seating in the main dining room. Their outdoor space, when the weather is nice, have a few bar tops and a smoking area. During HH, their delicious and beautiful cocktails are $8-10. The bartenders are friendly, and let us see all the fun glassware before we picked our drinks. Some are creative, some are classic, some are downright dangerous because they're so well-made, and we stayed one round longer than we had planned because we loved the live music that started around 7pm. The food...is another story. Come with high expectations for drinks, and low expectations for food. Of the bites we ordered, 3 out of the 5 we chose were unavailable. The pork belly and maduros were 3 rangoon shaped dumplings that weren't satisfying, and the chicken croquetas were better but a little greasy in a way that didn't match the cocktails we were enjoying. All in all, I enjoyed this spot for a drink or three, but make plans to dine elsewhere.

Yelp
My husband and I recently came here for pre-dinner drinks and apps on a date night. It was 5:30 p.m. on a Saturday and the place was absolutely empty - but I'm sure it picks up in the evening! We sat at the bar and got a few drinks and tried the ahi tuna (small portion, good happy hour price, and good flavor). The service was fine - we were told they didn't have the tuna, order a different appetizer, and then the tuna came out anyways. We will definitely come back to try a full dinner service.

Yelp
The food was delicious! This restaurant is in downtown 8th street and portrays a Cuban/Asian fusion within their dishes. The vibes were spectacular. We came on a Sunday evening and surprisingly it wasn't packed. The service was great since it wasn't too busy we were assisted right away to our table. We made a reservation and didn't have to wait. The server allowed me to pick our table. I ordered the 3 course meal and there were a couple of different choices to chose from. As an appetizer I had the chicken croquettes which were soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. You can tell they made them fresh because they were nice and warm. As an entree I had the Asian inspired shrimp which was on a bed of rice noodles and veggies. I enjoyed it, I wish there were a bit more of the rice noodles though. My friend enjoyed the octopus that was drenched in a puréed yuca, this was extremely yummy. The presentation of each dish was beautiful. We ordered a few drinks; I had a couple espresso martinis which were good. The Celsius mojito was amazing, I ordered it with the mango, passionfruit Celsius. It really gives it a nice wist on the original mojito. The server provided a round of shots for my friends birthday that were complimentary, they tasted like mini piña coladas. The crema de catalana was good but was more of a rice pudding consistency, not what I was expecting but still good. Also 20% gratuity was already included, our server was really great so he deserved it. Overall we had a great time at Calle Dragones, would come back. PS there is a lot across the street where you can park or street parking as well.

Yelp
Really lovely and glamorous music club on Calle Ocho. Food was delicious, service is on point, ambiance is fantastic and the band was soooo good. Love this place!

Yelp
Came to Calle Dragones with my best friend for my birthday celebration. My experience here was 10/10. My friends and I decided to do the Miami Spice menu and were also able to order other items off the regular menu. I love that we were able to do this as a lot of restaurants do not always allow this. The food was excellent. The coffee rubbed churrasco was fantastic. The lechon dumplings were also great and such a unique twist on an Asian dish. The drinks are fun and the performances make for a great time. The service was great and quick. Our waitress was super attentive. I would absolutely come back

Yelp
Cuba, Cuba, Cuba... what have you done to me? For me, 10/10! 100%! Can you just make a chair and sign for me at your beautiful bar? Ok, sometimes you just want cabaret and great rum with food! Come down here and be the judge for yourself! Happy Hour is a great deal for those fighting inflation in the U.S. right now. From the drinks, service, ambiance and music, it's a win! Make a reservation and be open minded. The history of this place and the chef along with the talented Bartenders (Gracias Juan) make it a beautiful marriage! I didn't want to leave. It's all about the intimacy and small details. They say cabaret started in Paris in 1881. Was brought to the Stars and Stripes in 1911. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Looking forward to my return. Bring the good rum out and I'll see you on a rainy day. Get ready to dance around the tables and let your inner self be free! See you soon! Xoxo

Yelp
I stopped by Calle Dragones the other night for a friend's birthday dinner. If it were for the part of celebrating with a very good friend, it would be 5 stars. However, the restaurant itself could stand some improvement. That's why the overall review is 3 stars. In business there's something called the Price to Earning (P/E) Ratio that comments as to a stock's value. Other than the birthday celebration, my impression is that Calle Dragones has a very high P/E Ratio. When I made reservations on OpenTable, I marked that it was for a birthday dinner. I got there a little earlier than the birthday girl and sat at the bar...and waited..to get a menu. The daiquiri ($20) was a little heavy on the lemon for my taste and the service at the bar felt a little unattentive. Also, I understand my friend was a little late. But we were sat up at the corner of the mezzanine, almost hidden away. We had to speak up to get service. Of course, they have a 20 percent automatic gratuity. We also had to send one of our drinks back due to an unpleasant aftertaste. To their credit, they didn't charge for it. The menu is very heavy on pork or seafood. There were no chicken dishes for those of us who don't eat seafood. While the Lechon and attended guava sauce was actually pretty tasty, I'm pigged out until next year's Nochebuena! The fried rice was also tasty, if not necessarily $30 something tasty. The patatas brava side we ordered was yummy as well, with a decent amount of heat. From the Miami Spice menu, the char siu pork ribs appetizer was tasty, but I would pass on the desserts. The crema catalana (Creme brûlée) was more like an arroz con leche dessert and didn't have a crispy crust. The lychee and pineapple pavlova they brought out for my friend's birthday was actually much better. The music show - more like a band and dancer - was hard to see from upstairs. There was an interactive part but again we were up in the mezzanine so nada.

Yelp
The food at Calle Dragones was tasty, it has an interesting menu. My favorite was the octopus. The drinks were exquisite! The service stands out for being very attentive and friendly. Our waiter kept checking on us the whole dinner. My favorite part was the ambience of the place, it has an elegant cabaret-style decor that creates a lovely ambiance. Plus, they offer entertainment shows after 8:00 pm, making it a cool trendy spot.

Yelp
Calle Dragones offers a unique dinner and show experience that's worth trying. The fact that they have different themes every night adds to its allure. I recommend visiting on Wednesday or Friday nights when they host "Havana Nights" themed events with live performances every half an hour. The atmosphere during these nights is truly indescribable, and it's an experience you'll want to witness firsthand. The ambience and restaurant decor gives off Scarface vibes, so unique and different. It does not feel like you are even a Miami. Now, let's talk about the food. For appetizer we got the seafood dumpling and the vegetable gyozas and the maripositas de lechon, one was not better than the other , they were so so so tasty and delicious. For my meal i had the duck fried rice, and it was so delicious that I didn't want to finish it, just so I could savor the leftovers the next day. Although I was not crazy about the dessert options, the food is well worth going and Ofcourse without having to mention not the great entertainment making it a memorable destination for a night out in Miami.

Yelp
Went to this restaurant for my birthday. At Calle Dragones, was absolutely phenomenal, every bite was a flavor explosion, and the service was impeccable with our waiter GABY providing knowledgeable recommendations for the perfect wine pairing."; you must try "croquetas de pollo". A truly unforgettable dining experience, the ambiance was intimate and the chef's tasting menu showcased incredible creativity with fresh, seasonal ingredients."; "The staff specifically Gaby at Calle dragones went above and beyond to cater to our needs, making us feel genuinely welcomed and value.. definitely going back

Yelp
This might be the most Miami place I've ever been. The ambiance felt like we were at The Birdcage, and Tony Montana was washing dishes, Dexter was slicing meat, and Mike Lowry was undercover, plus the food was really amazing. This will probably be my go to place for bringing people from out of town. We went on Friday night for Miami Spice. For appetizers, I had the gyoza and my wife had the Maripositas Chinas De Lechón Confit, both were great but the Maripositas were our favorite. For entrees my wife had the Duck Fried Rice and I had the short ribs. The fried rice was very good but the short ribs were amazing. For drinks, we had a tequila drink and a bourbon one. Both were great. The bourbon was a great sipping drink, very strong, not too sweet.

Yelp
Worst dinner experience!!!! La peor experiencia . We made a reservation for 6 people and 3 of us ordered fish dish but they forgot to cook it and it has the sauce but it came raw...they apologized but they didn't do anything for the big mistake. We were still charged for the other few things as thigh nothing happened. TERRIBLE !!!!!

Yelp
My mom and sister went to the original one in Bogotá and said it was amazing food and show. Came over to celebrate my grandmas life and taking advantage of Miami Spice also :). Take advantage of happy hour which has really good prices and drinks. Their Margarita (had it spicy) was on point. Pork belly and maduritos were oh so yummy, korean style so had a good sauce to it. Bartender (don't remember his name) was so nice, attentive and nice to talk to. For miami spice, i had the Key West Prawns as app. Fresh and cooked to perfection. Main course Duck fried rice. Omg. Soooo good. The rice was ohhh (but mom's rice is better ) I wasnt almost able to finish it but gladly i was able to. Im not a fan of Crema Catalana or arroz con leche BUT my family almost licked the orange that came it came in (BEAUTIFUL PRESENTATION). Bonus point: they have a live group who are really good and have a good energy. Thank you!

Yelp
Came for Friday Happy Hour and we were immediately seated at the bar. The foyer where the bar is that leads to the main dining room is airy, open, bright, and tropical classy. It reminded me of the style of the Hotel Nacional. The Happy Hour menu is succinct and offers some variety - both food and drink. Drink wise we went with a caipirinha and a zanja. HH price is $10, normal price is $23. The passion fruit caipirinha was spot on - balanced, fizzy and thirst quenching. My zanja is an acquired taste -- the tarty bittersweet after taste lingered far longer than I wanted - but glad I tried it to see the bad ass game of thrones mug that it was served in! Food wise - we tasted one of each except for the Patata Bravas. The standout where the pork belly and Maduros (sweet plantains) and the rice egg rolls. Both were well seasoned tasty and had distinct and bold flavor combinations. The lechon crispy wontons were OK -- they definitely needed a different dipping sauce than what was provided (suggestion guava BBQ-esque type). The tuna carpaccio was missing a little olive oil and some sesame seeds or something.... The crispy wonton tortilla chips attracted more attention than the actual star - the tuna. The bartending staff is Uber friendly, accommodating and have a great attitude. I'm intrigued to come see one of the shows (which changes on a nightly basis) and the Sunday brunch may be the way to go. We found close by street parking. I would return to happy hour and continue trying the other cocktail concoctions.

Yelp
Came here for Miami Spice for their $45 set price dinner menu. Vibes/ambiance was great with the live music and quick service. Food was delicious and good portions. Their signature cocktails all came in fun glassware!

Yelp
Recommend 100%! Calle Dragones is a newer addition to Little Havana where you get amazing Asian inspired Cuban food with a show! It's influenced by the Chinese neighborhood in Havana, Cuba. While you eat, you enjoy performances inspired by Moulin Rouge, Studio 54, Italian Night and Tropicana. They also have amazing mixology drinks served in the most creative ways! Note that the tables are timed (I believe 1.5 hours for 2 people and may be more for bigger parties) but the servers remind you and are really courteous about it.

Yelp
This spot is all that and then some! It was one of my friends birthdays and her sister found this spot to celebrate. It fell on a Wednesday so we were kinda bummed we'd miss the weekend show. Walked in and the decor is a mix of vintage and fabulous flair. The bar is located to the side with in and outside access. Once most of our party arrived we were seated at our table and ordered drinks. We were pleased to know that Wednesday was ladies night so they had a menu of specials on eats and drinks. We started with fabulous dri KS with an awesome.presentati9n of an Asian tea kettle and smoke..thus was a mexacal tequilla drink..was delish. Round the table we had everything from Merlot, lychee martinis, Romeo and juliet, etc. No complaints, all were fabulous. The menu is Cuban Asian infused so take your time choosing something great. We had the tuna tartare, spring rolls, duck wok fried rice, seafood fried rice, the seafood tower, papa braves, bok choy, croquettes, pork belly, etc. We just really indulged into the menu. So while.were gathered and enjoying ourselves this Dj appears with a saxophone and drum player. And let me tell you that's when the party began. We might even missed the weekend show but this 3 team was unbelievably great!! They got the dinner crowd going! Dancing on the couches, on the floor, doing a Congo line! I mean they were fabulous! We were so glad to be there on a Wednesday. And if this is the preview of what to expect.on the weekend, you gotta go. This was so entertaining and the service was great and the food so fabulous. This is truly a. great gem added to this neighborhood Check it out with everyone! It is ALL.worth it!!

Yelp
My family and I celebrated my dad's birthday at a restaurant, and we had a really good time. The restaurant had a decor that reminded me of the movie Scarface. The food was fantastic, and our favorite was the short ribs. We also ordered a few appetizers, which tasted okay. We particularly enjoyed their guajiro cocktail. The waitress was kind and accommodating, but the hostess seemed a bit on edge and came off as intense about the dress code and cake restrictions, which we were not informed of beforehand as we never received a text from the restaurant regarding these policies. Aside from that, the entertainment was delightful and engaging.

Yelp
Okay, this place has the vibe! I loved it from the moment I walked in... but make sure you have a reservation because it gets packed! We had to wait about 45 mins for our reserved tables which was meh, but staff brought out Prosecco for us so it was a win. If you HAVE to get appetizers, get the lechón dumplings or the maripositas. Honestly the dumplings were some of the best I've ever had, and the maripositas were presented as two little bags, with the dipping sauce in the center. Magnificent. Drinks wise, I would recommend the Sanya. I ordered the Ennegua and I was able to finish it, but after someone else got the Sanya and we tried it, we all ended up ordering one for ourselves. IMO, best drink in the house. I loved how my drink was presented though. I had the kimchi fried rice with truffle and it was good, but not spectacular. However, our friends had the duck confit fried rice and it was sensational. Same goes for the short rib. If I was back, I would hover around those specific dishes. Desserts wise, I would go straight to the flan. The crema catalana was a bit forgettable, but the flan was very good. Solid food for the most part but the vibe is way too good. Take your dancing shoes and get ready for performances. Easy 5/5.

Yelp
Food - 2 stars Ambiance - 5 stars Service - 4-5 stars Drinks - 5 stars Being a Cuban myself I can tell the food is not what you come here for; the quality is below average. Dried meat, lacking flavors, it's just meh. I have been to Calle Dragones multiple times for happy hour and it's great, $10 high quality drinks and even though the happy hour food menu is not the best (it's pretty heavy, deep fried, ...) I can tell for the price is OK. My advice, keep it to the happy hour and if you want to see the show afterwards, do it seated from the bar but don't do dinner... my advice. The show is actually great for this concept.

Yelp
Ok , They don't answer the phone. They don't Return messages. My birthday celebration, 30.00 dollars for me , bringing my own cake. Birthday celebration , They don't allow candles to be lit on cake. , What kinda birthday is that with no candles, They basically ruined my birthday celebration. Thanks a Lot !!! You need to wake up. And have some common sense. People, Like to celebrate their birthdays at Restaurants with lighted candles!!!

Yelp
A block away from Café La Trova, this is now a new favorite in Calle Ocho. I was excited for the Miami Spice menu and didn't know I'd like the joint as much as I did. Very Latin and tropical vibes when you walk in and the bar at the entrance is gorgeous. I went on a Sunday night and though they do live music from Thursday to Sunday, this night is slower than most and I was ok with it. I do have to come back for the Havana nights on Fridays which is supposed to be a heck of a show and live entertainment. Tonight was a piano player and a lovely lady singing Cuban and Latin classics. Service is top tier from both the waitstaff and the bartenders so that's a plus. Now as far as the food and drinks, let me break it down for ya... ELEGGUA: tequila patron silver with chile liquor and a lemon, passion fruit and peach foam. I wasn't a fan of it and for $20 that sucked for me and I think maybe that foam didn't work for me. Also it was lacking a good punch so I'd never go for it again although as far as the cocktail itself it has great presentation. OLD FASHIONED: this was way better, not because my go to has always been an old fashioned but because it was perfectly mixed/crafted and served with a unique touch of class if you look at the picture below. CRISPY GYOZA: stuffed grilled eggplant and mushrooms these are not your traditional pork, shrimp or chicken dumplings but just as delicious if not more. Maybe it's that Asian black garlic aioli and orange agria ponzu. Not exactly sure what that crispy thing on top was but I wasn't mad about it. DUCK CONFIT FRIED RICE: this has got to be one of the most delicious fried rice dishes I've ever tasted. Crispy duck meat on perfectly cooked jasmine rice, fried egg on top and crispy string potatoes I believe. It looked small at first but it was very filling. Not like any other fried rice I've tasted at a Chinese joint but different in the best way. CHOCOLATE SZECHUAN: I was bummed out they didn't have the crema catalana and the waitress said this was my only other option. It was supposed to be a chocolate tres leches with a side of chocolate ice cream. I wasn't a fan of this because it was too much chocolate for me personally. Even the cookie crumble was chocolate so I guess if chocolate is "life"for you, this is probably a good choice. I had the pleasure of conversing with Imaray, the manager onsite and she was the most courteous and delightful manager I've interacted with lately. Like I mentioned before I have to come back for dinner and a show on a Friday night and try a few other delicious items in this menu. Also there's plenty of street parking in the area.

Yelp
For a second time I made a reservation in this place. 8:30 PM. Without calling me!!! They text me the day before and they moved the reservation an hour later and as soon as we arrived they will advise you that you have 2 hours to eat. With a check of more than $800 I don't think it was correct to ask us to leave immediately after we finish after all you will go for the music too. Today decided to review this place. Because it happened again. I believe in second chances so I made another reservation. With one month in advance. And it happen again they text me today and moved my dinner and our later. 9:30 PM, so probably they will kick us out in 2 hours. Too much stress is not worth it. Don't count on this place they won't respect your reservation I will never come back!! Very disrespectful to clients and open table!!

Yelp
Originally came to Calle Dragones for Miami Spice but after seeing the full menu there were a few things that caught my eye. Make sure to come dressed appropriately. It is a more upscale restaurant/lounge. Several of the other reviews mention they were not allowed entrance to the restaurant because of their outfits. The parking is, well there is no parking. Come in a Uber or you'll have to drive around till you find something on the street. Once we arrived the restaurant was busy and we had to wait about 15 minutes to get a table. They have a show about every hour with live music and dancing. They also have a dj to play tunes throughout the night. Our waitress Ana took good care of us throughout the night. The decor on the inside is as if your stepping into a cuban bar in Cuba. The drinks and good and strong but about $20 a drink. Just be warned they can add up quick. 3 drinks and a water were $80. To eat we tried the lechón dumplings and they were yummy. The sauce they came with was a perfect compliment. The food did take a little bit to come out but they were busy and we were having a good time. The Miami spice menu is a good option to try but since we were sharing plates it came out just the same to order from the full menu. The first thing that caught my eye was the risotto congri and short rib vaca frita. It sounds good on the menu and tastes just as good. My only suggestion would be to have at least a few more pieces of vaca frita. The ratio of vaca frita to rice was very little. It came with only 4 pieces. Nonetheless it was delicious but I'd definitely like more meat especially for a $38 plate. We also ordered the Korean short rib. For $46 it comes cut in 6 pieces. The meat is mouthwatering and so juicy. It comes with ingredients to make lettuce wraps but just eating by itself it was delicious. And helped cover the lack of vaca frita to mix with the congri. For desert I had the crema catalana. It comes in an orange and had mixed reviews at the table. It is not sweet at all so if you're expecting a sweet desert choose something else. I though it was decent. Between the show, the decor, and the food we had a great time. It's a very Miami experience! I'd say the food is a little pricey for what you get but that's become Miami lately.

Yelp
One of the newest spots in Miamis famous Calle Ocho/Little Havana neighborhood, Calle Dragones was definitely a fire breathing experience Always got to start off at the bar with their great cocktail menu, and once we got seated, we had takw advantage of Miami Spice. Are we went with the gyozas amd fried dumplings. Flavorful and sweet and crunchy. All the good stuff! In Miami spice, the menu sometimes change, I had the shrimp and its sooo good and was mixed with veggies pIred white white rice. Filling but didnt get you totally stuffed. As your dining, there's live music, and almost every night they have different acts, shows and performances we had Havana nights with plenty of Cuban, flair and vibes to say the least. The dessert was womewhat different. An orange woth rice ousding was a great end to the night. If you would like to try something different, with a twist on local Hispanic flacor, this is definitely the place to go

Yelp
New business in Miami and had to check it out. I have some friends from Colombia that enjoyed their restaurant there so I had to check it out once they came to Miami. Enjoyed the restaurant preposition of merging entertainment and food experience. The live presentation was great and it was probably the highlight of my dinner. Please note that there is an entertainment / performance fee but totally worth it. The food is as actually tasty and not as pricey as I expected. There is a seating limit of 2 hours and the crew surely make sure to remind you at every opportunity-- which was a bit annoying. In short, had a good experience.

Yelp
A 40 minute wait after reservation and the hostess was super rude asking us what do u need?? Every time we asked how much time - what else do we need besides a table after waiting 40 minute? The food was also average and compulsory 20 percent tip! Waste and spoiled our mood on anniversary!

Yelp
Fun atmosphere. Great DJ and the food was worth the price. Not living the signature drinks but they have a full bar. It's not as pricey as I thought it should be. I went on a week night and the ambiance was hype and fun. I look forward to going there on a Saturday. It's on 8th street so the parking SUCKS and the surrounding area can look a little sketchy. I would advise you to take an Uber and have them drop you off right at the door.

Yelp
This place is old glamour. Time capsule back to old Havana. The restaurant is sexy, classic and like great gatsby meets Havana. The staff were amazing and accommodating. The food was delicious but be prepared to spend some money but I must say it is with it. My favorite appetizer was the octopus with yucca purée. Delicious. The duck confit fried rice was a great portion and very flavorful. The drinks were amazing and to top it all of the performance and live band took it to another level. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
It was perhaps one of the worst experiences at a renowned venue. Starting from the chaotic reception area where 3 hostesses were in total disarray. It took over 45 min to be " checked in" and then to be seated next to the entrance missing the " performances" and the show for Valentine's Day. Be careful with the server as the server tried to scroll rapidly on his iPad for us not to see extra items they had added to the bill. Scammy. They don't care about providing the experience. The food was definitely a low. It came out cold and some dishes never showed. Unfortunately I had to pull the plug on a night I imagined going differently after doing my research. Too bad as the band/ and ambiance were decent. Do yourself a favor and drive 2 more blocks down to La Trova. Because calle dragones is not it.

Yelp
Beautiful place, really lovely. Just sat at the bar for a couple drinks and sides. Had the papas bravas and bok choy, and the Ganja (?) cocktail and Barrio Chino cocktail. Live music was great with dancers. Made me feel like I stepped back in time to an era long since gone.

Yelp
After sitting and having a great time while waiting for your table, sadly when they called up for our we are taking upper which totally kills the vibe as you are not part of the party. This restaurant teleport to you back to the 60's in Cuba at one of the best and happening clubs, but only let down once they take us to our sit. A meal easily over $250 for two people and their designer actually put a table less then 10 steps from the bathroom. The service was ok. The waitress looked stressed. Took the order wrong and bought us an extra appetizer and after it seat on our table for 2 mins they actually took it back instead of leaving it on the table makes to think if we could received food from any other table. Then to top it off they bought over the sides 15 mins before the food so by the time our main dish got there the sides were cold. It was a shame because we could had an amazing time but they dropped the ball a

Yelp
Had a really nice evening at this place. Service and ambiance were excellent. The staff were very attentive and the drinks, although on the expensive side, were tasty and unique. The food unfortunately was a bit of a letdown for our entire group. A fusion of Cuban and Chinese cuisine sounded very promising, but turned out to be a disappointment. We shared several appetizers and everyone ordered a different main course, but we could not find at least one memorable dish. $20 valet parking was also a surprise, particularly for the area. A good overall experience in the end, especially because of the amazing live music, and the cabaret-like atmosphere.
