I picked up some items I ordered online. The staff was nice and the pickup experience was easy. The food was underwhelming. The ceviche didn’t taste fresh and I ordered the garlic shrimp. It was $20 and shown online with a scoop of what looks to be mofongo. Well, that wasn’t the case. I paid $20 for 6 small shrimp. When I called to double check if something had been forgotten, I was told no that’s all you get and that their “online menu was old and hasn’t been updated in a long time” and that was it. Cost isn’t an issue, but value is. They need to update their online menu because this feels dishonest.

I've been here at least 3x, and the food os great each time. They have a great combination of dishes & flavors. I ordered the Chicken Enchiladas w/Verde sauce and my friend ordered the Mushroom dish, I forgot the name but she enjoyed it. Wloh, we also ordered the fried green tomatoes- a must order! The staff was very pleasant and super attentive. They have specials most days. I recommend giving this spot a while, you will not be disappointed!

While I do feel slighted that they have reduced the number of fried green tomatoes but increased the price, the food is still good and I still come back just for the fried green tomatoes. I guess I am the problem. Besides that, food is pretty good, and check on drink specials since that might impact your desire to get magaritas and other drinks.

Fresh, authentic, delicious!!! Such a welcomed treat!!!! Please, please, please put that Passion Fruit Margaritas on the menu to stay!!!! Soooo good! Meka was the best server in the world! Your suggestions were excellent.

This restaurant is amazing! We had Katie as our server and she was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. The food here tastes really fresh and authentic. Please try the empanadas with the crab!! Update: I’ve been to the new location and the food is still wonderful. I ordered the crab empanadas, fried adobo chicken, and queso. Our server Sam was very nice and the food came out pretty quickly. The cilantro mashed potatoes were way better than before.

Very interesting and small restaurant. We went on a Saturday late afternoon. There was only one server for the entire establishment. She was also the bartender, too. I felt bad for her because this is going on in a lot of places; staff shortages. The food was actually really good. But I wasn’t a fan of the small margaritas for $11 that barely had any kick, aka alcohol, to em. Just ice, mainly. That was disappointing. It seemed like other tables enjoyed the sangria, though. There’s one bathroom-clean. Plenty of paid parking available. I’d go back.

On a nice day, outside seating is always our preference. I mentioned the mix-up to our server but didn’t make a big deal out of it. We reviewed the drink menu and ordered the Sweetwater Lager, which our server suggested, and Wifey ordered the same. We thought we were tasting something new, but It turned out to be the Sweetwater 420 Pale Ale that we’d tasted before. We reviewed the food options and made our decision. Wifey went for the Lombo, described as Brazilian pork tenderloin with a side of plantains. I opted for the Fried Adobo Chicken, which came with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. While waiting for our food, we noticed the great overall design and ambiance of the restaurant, with vibrant colors and original art everywhere. The food came out pretty quickly and looked delicious. We started to dig in, and the food did not disappoint. I loved my fried chicken meal, and Wifey just said, “Wow Wow” about her pork tenderloin. The portions were big enough that we had leftovers to take home. We also decided to order a Tres Leches to go. Overall, we had a very good experience at Calle Latina, and our server, Ciarra, was nice and took good care of us.

This is a funky little Latin place with a Decatur vibe. The food was unique and most was very flavorful. The arepa filling was a little bland but we also acknowledged that we ordered it without the chorizo which would have added a lot to the dish’s flavor. The last thing that made the experience less than 5 stars was that the table was so tiny. It was difficult to fit our 4 dishes ok the table along with drinks.

I really enjoyed Calle Latina. I sat at the bar. Jude (the bartender) was polite, professional, and engaging. He makes great blood orange margaritas (FYI- you can add CBD to it for a small price. Jude recommended the ancho chili glazed pork belly and it was delicious. I also tried the lump crab empanadas which was great as well. I apologize about the picture of the black beans and rice. I would never ordinarily take a bite of something then take a picture of it. I honestly thought it was going to be so bland because it looks like plain Uncle Ben's Rice. I was pleasantly surprised, it was well seasoned and the black beans were amazing. I had a great experience and I will definitely be back soon.

I pass Calle Latina often and decided to stop in at their new location for a bite to eat and I'm glad I did. I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and there were only a few other patrons in the restaurant so the service was very attentive and relaxed. I didn't feel rushed at all, which I loved and Frederick was super helpful in guiding me to a delicious selection. I love ceviche so I decided to go with the mango mixto ceviche and it was perfect. The flavors merged really well and it was just enough food to feel satisfied. I also ordered a caprinia, which you can never go wrong with a caprinia. They also have other daily drink specials. Another thing I appreciate is the location, it's much more accessible than the previous location and feels a bit roomier. Ambiance was really great, loved the indoor/outdoor patio feel of this place. I'll definitely be back.

I was disappointed with the service. I will not be patronizing again.. My family and I waited 20 mins before getting someone to take our order and then our food took another 25 mins ...

Nice setting, tempting small plate, entree, and cocktail choices, but I got the SLIGHT impression that our server just wasn't really in the "mood" to deal with us (or anyone else...) the night we were there. No worries, no harm/no foul... The food here is too good to "ding" a bad attitude. We started out with the tostones with cheese and pineapple salsa, which was SO good, I (selfishly...) didn't want to share!! I'm going to STEAL this recipe and ATTEMPT to make it at home!! The menu was challenging, EVERYTHING sounded wonderful, but I went with the Brasilian Pinchos de Hongos (deliciously seasoned portobello mushrooms and assorted roasted veggies), while the others at my table went for an order of beef empanadas and veg. arepas. They also took advantage of the 2/1 margaritas. I was tempted to try one of their desserts, either the 3 leches cake or the maracuya passion mousse cake, but was "good" instead... There's a great variety of creatively done L. American small and large plate options here... I hope to return one day and try some more!! Mmmmm!!

Good food. Good, friendly service. Good food. Nice ambiance-live band when I went on a weekend night. Will definitely go there again.

Great food and service! Everyone in my group was super happy. They changed the dinner menu and it really is good. Definitely will be back!

Visited on a Friday afternoon with my father for lunch. This was my first time at their new location and it is much more spacious and vibrant than their old location. We were seated immediately with menus, which seemed to have more options but I can't be certain. After a minute or so the waitress came over for our drink order and asked if we had any questions. We ordered waters and my father asked for a little clarity on a couple items. We ordered the Negro empanadas as our app and continued to look over the menu. We were brought waters and we ordered our meals. We both ordered the Calle Fish Tacos, him with corn, me with flour. Empanadas were brought out shortly after. Great presentation and tasty. It came with this green sauce and a small salad which was a nice complement. We both enjoyed. Our appetizer plates were removed and the tacos came next then the side of rice and beans. Once again, beautiful presentation. The mahi mahi was moist and chunky which made for a nice bite each time. Rice and beans could've used a little more flavor. Overall I was thoroughly impressed and the food was filling. We both ended up taking our last taco with the remaining rice and beans to go.

This is a little spot next to the train station and a store but it has a small patio (dog friendly) and a small but really cute inside. The customer service was great, our waiter made sure to bring our pup water, check on us and tell us a little about the menu. What fell short was the flavors of the dishes... we had the garlic shrimp mofongo which tasted like they just poured a bunch of sofrito... which is a sauce that usually combines onions, garlic, peppers, herbs and tomato paste. Which is used in Spanish recipes but a little goes a lot and the flavors were overwhelming in this particular dish. I would of liked more of a garlic sauce since was suppose to be garlic shrimp. The tostones were good but the pineapple slaw that was added to the side tasted like it went bad, it had a weird acidity. The tostones were really thin so they were just a bit crispy. Sorry, I wouldn't go again as the flavors fell short but the customer service was great!

Came with my partner and parents for a dinner. The restaurant itself was very quant and very cute. Dark lighting, polished wood tables. The pictures scared us a little, but the inside was beautiful. The wine selection is pretty limited, most coming from South America, but good cocktail and beer selection. A lot of the food seems inspired by a multitude of Latin/Caribbean countries. We had beef & chicken empanadas, yuca fritas & guacamole, all super good. Brazilian pinchos were also a hit, but the camarón & mofongo were a bit of a miss. We had Jude as a server. He was super nice and gave us just the service we needed. Overall, the food was yum and I'd totally come back for those empanadas. Such good empanadas

Ordered the ceviche was very good tasty full of flavor our waitress not so much she gave me a dirty glass of water the restaurant m had salt on it bad move asked her for other options no options provided as far as the service sub par not good ordered the de bell good just like my daughter used to eat just about everyday when they were closer to downtown Decatur yum yum yum took a star away due to the service

Great as usual. Celebrating a birthday. It was extremely slow the night we went , started out as the only people there . Drinks were good and reasonably priced. Had the mofongo with the shrimp .. I'd absolutely recommend that. There are a lot of food items on the menu. The venue is very small/intimate but I like it. Can't say enough about how good the food is. This place is absolutely worth the visit. Service is pretty good as noted the place is super small so you don't get lost in the shuffle.

Stopped by Wednesday afternoon at an odd hour for a late lunch (3 or 4ish) I had skipped lunch and needed something light and filling. Grabbed the ceviche de Peru and it was perfect. Plenty of fish, and fresh lime and cilantro flavor. Not heavy in mayo or tiny diced pieces of seafood like other ceviche options. Fish was cut into larger slices. White sangria was good. Server said it was the less sweet of the options (white or red) and it was still pretty sweet, so the red is probably very very sweet. Service was a little slower but nothing to complain about as I wasn't in a rush. I would definitely let the server know if you are on a limited lunch break though. Overall so far so good & I want to come back and try more.

Slow service, bad food. Like the worst. $22 for bland par-baked chicken. Tasted like my leftovers from last week. The only redeeming thing was my mimosa which was still pricey. They have drink specials all week...usually a sign that the food is terrible. I left very disappointed and won't go back.

It was cool. Nothing extraordinary. I ordered empanadas, one beef, one chicken and the yuka fries. The beef empanada was bland, just a ground beef flavor. The chicken empanadas was better and paired well with the green sauce. I did enjoy the light salad that came with it - spinach mix topped with mango. It was a nice green side. I ordered the house sangria - it was filled with apples, but overall a weak drink. The Yuka fries were plain and flavorless. The place further down with a similar menu is a lot better. Oh and if I had read the health inspection report before going, I would have never went. *check it out*.

I've always wanted to try this place for years! I was finally able to try it & I felt some kinda way when I first walked in which should of said something. It is very small & cramped but the outdoor sitting area has a wide variety of smokers & homeless people lingering around. The prices are pretty high so I was hoping for some good food! We ordered ab appetizer of guac to share & mind you, it is $11. When the appetizer arrived, I was HIGHLY shocked to see not even a whole avocado used! It was a slap in the face to charge someone that much for guac when you can go to a nice Mexican restaurant & get chunky avocado for the same price & feed at least 4 people with it!!! Next up we got yuca fries to split & they were the most disappointing, flavorless ones I've ever had in my life. 0/10 would recommend. Next I split some empanadas with my partner & again, the flavor was not there, at all. It said it came with black beans, peppers & cheese & all you could taste were beans. The very small salad that came with it was good. Our friend ordered soup that came with straight up white bread which was odd. She agreed everything was flavorless & NOT worth what we paid for it. I will never be back again nor would I ever recommend this place to anyone! If you want actual good food with big portions & reasonable prices then I suggest hitting up Raging Burrito about 3 minutes away!

Colorful dishes. Intimate vibe. Acoustic love songs in Latin. Everything about my dinner at @callelatina was a vibe. From the flamed heaters on their patio to the yummy and refreshing sangrias. The food was excellent! And thanks to my @diningoutatl Passbook, I was able to order the Calle Fish tacos for dine in and take Arroz Con Pollo home to-go. If you are ever in downtown Decatur, make sure you check out @callelatina.

Cozy place in Decatur with fantastic drinks and delicious food. Probably the best margarita I've had in Decatur. Food seems healthier than most Latin food in the area. Has a mix of Mexican, Spanish, Cuban and Puerto Rican dishes. One of us had the shrimp burrito and I had the ropa vieja. The burrito was nicely toasted and the food was very fresh / flavorful. The kids liked the queso as well.

The empanadas and fried tomatoes were great. The hibiscus tea was quite different, but very good.

¡Muy sabroso! The new location is super convenient and has PARKING. Staff is very welcoming and attentive. Cuba Libre slushy is potent and delicious. My absolute favorite thing is the fried green tomatoes - I recommend getting the appetizer version, since they're really too big to fit into a taco. Excellent guacamole, too - it's a simple thing, but they do it perfectly. Great place to chill and enjoy warm hospitality and good Latin good.

Excellent lunch spot. Hostess was good and accurate with her recommendations. The $5 Tuesday special sangria hit the spot. Highly recommend this place.

I wanted to try to find something I liked about this place, but my friends and I left pretty disappointed with our food. We tried various dishes and it was so bad we couldn't bring ourselves to finish off all the food. Overall the flavor was lacking in everything and I also noticed their 73 health score on my way out. - Plain queso. Pretty standard, but probably the only thing we actually finished eating. We had to get another round of chips to finish off the queso. - Yuca Frita side- Super super dry. I was really disappointed since one of our friends never tried yuca before and she will probably forever associate it with this dish. Dipping sauce was just OK. - Empanadas- we mixed and matched 1 De Carne (ground beef, green olives, spices) and 1 Pollo Verde (pulled chicken, chorizo, green mole) since an order came with 2. They were also pretty dry. The sauce was good but couldn't save the empanadas. - De Camaron tacos (crispy shrimp, farm greems, mango salsa, cilantro crema)- order comes with 2. I would say these were OK, but definitely could have been more flavorful. The dish comes with rice and beans, and honestly, that was probably the most decent thing we had all night. All in all, would NOT recommend.

So many great choices! I like the Cuban as a taco (there is a fancier name but you will figure it out)! New location is fantastic.

Location/Vibe: This place is located in the heart and Main Street of Decatur, and is such a cute place to hang out with friends or go for date night. It's right beside an ice cream shop and the main plaza on top of Marta. The vibe is very laid back and you can people watch as the street is very frequented. It's a fun place to go! Service: Every time I have gone there the service has been good. They are always thoughtful as to whether you need something and do not rush you like some places do, something I always appreciate. It's important to recognize that it's a small place with few servers, so it may not be the best place to go if you're looking for something fast in and out. Food: I have sincerely never had anything that's not good at this restaurant. The seasoning is very good on the food, and the medley of flavors that they uniquely merge is delicious. We ordered the plantain with pineapple + cheese appetizer, which was interesting because my friend does not like plantains typically but said they would eat them any day if they always tasted like that! I ordered an arepa de pabellón which came with rice and beans and my friend ordered the grilled chicken tacos. Everything was delicious! Also, the portions were more than generous.

What an amazing place... and they have free parking. We have eaten there twice since they reopened in their new location. Both times the food has been spot on. The Decour is stylish, welcoming and clean. Service is super friendly! It is becoming our new favorite spot.!

We stopped by on a Saturday (We arrived around early 5 pm) & immediately sat, It's choose your own seating but you have the choice of the cozy indoor seating & the nicely decorated patio/outdoor seating. Also, would like to mention - all of the staff there is extremely friendly! We sat indoors & I love the cozy feel of the restaurant - just expect to hear your neighbors' conversation, or hope your table neighbors are nice enough not to include you in their conversation. Again, the waitstaff was phenomenal, menus & water were brought out quickly - & everyone, not just our waiter, checked on our table... I feel special! Now onto the food... The food, to me, is OK. Everyone at the table ordered the "Empanadas De Carne" & we also got two orders of Black Beans&Rice. The Empanadas were ok... not the best I've had but, not the worst. My only advice for at least this flavor - it has olives & even though I was told you could not taste them... you can definitely taste them. If you are not an olive fan - head my warning. I feel like they could've used a touch more seasoning but with the sauce - it's unnoticeable. Finally, the black beans & rice. These were excellent! Unfortunately, I wouldn't eat here again - due to the flavors falling a little shy of what'd we like but, I wouldn't count this place out! If you haven't tried, see if it's for you & all the staff will be friendly when you get there.

My lunch was really delicious and nicely presented. Service was fairly good. Ambiance was warm and friendly. Cozy. Bench seat and back were hard, but pillows were welcomed for my back. I like this place and predict it will be a success. This was my first time. That parking lot has always been a challenge. I look forward to returning. May be the best food in Avondale Estates -- actually it's in Decatur.

So we went to the new location on College Ave because the website (and Yelp) indicated it was open. Imagine our disappointment when we got there to find it was no where near open. Shame on you for, Calle Latina, for not being honest on your web site!! I guess we'll keep an eye out to see when they actually open, but what a dumb thing for a business to do.

While taking a photo walk through Downtown Decatur, I found Calle Latina. Upon entering, I was greeted by Jude, who was friendly and helped me with the menu. I decided to sit outside and ordered 'De Camaron' (Crispy shrimp, farm greens, mango salsa and cilantro crema. Served with black beans and rice) and a Sweetwater Draft Beer. The wait time was minimal and Jude also provided water during my brief wait. I really liked the relaxed vibe here. My food soon arrived and it was perfect. Everything was so flavorful and tasted fresh. This was just what I needed. I had a great experience here and plan to return soon. 5 stars

New location is amazing! The space is so great- welcoming and open. I had the chicken Cuban arepa and it was great. Monday is half price wine! Servers were friendly and helpful. This is my new favorite Decatur restaurant!

This pandemic has gotten to my writing a review in a timely manner. This was supposed to be my birthday lunch back in late May. Yeah. It's time to start writing this review like yesterday... We shared the ceviche del Peru. It was in an x-small, thin container as this was to-go. The mahi mahi was pretty tasty, but pricey for the portion. You get one medium-sized tostone with this. I had the la de pernil arepas which was phenomenal. This is pretty much the more unique dish than the burritos, tacos, or tortas. It in contrast had a lot more moisture and liquids spilling out. So needless to say, it was a rather messy, but oh so good, dish to try. The side salad was nice with the green colors. We didn't appreciate the beans and rice up charge. And of course we didn't even specify wanting it in the first place when we placed the phone order. And yet, we received 2 portions of the beans and rice. Though the rice was good with beans being so so, this minor way of making an extra few dollars in my book isn't cool. The hubs had a burrito of some sorts. It was good, but it tasted dry. He seriously cannot remember what it's formally called on the menu, but it was probably a beef burrito. I would say this was a solid 3 stars as it is a little different being pressed. And as such, it was a tad drier. I would have liked it better if there was more sauce infused within the burrito to balance out the moisture. But, the side salad helped balance out the dryness. Parking in downtown Decatur can be a challenge, but remember street parking is free after 6 PM and on Sundays. There is a public lot a couple of blocks from this place that you pay at a central booth if you choose to stay in this area longer. Please check the current regulations before going to ensure you are informed of the most current parking situation if anything has changed during the pandemic. Overall, the arepas was delectable and worthwhile. The burrito was so so. Coupled with the not so nice extra beans and rice up charge and overall price point for the food (which was like $50 for lunch), I'd say this place is a solid 3 stars for our to-go experience.

I will remember the margarita! I would come back just for that!!! The food was good... the pork was a little to salty. Convenient place and no doubt good people watching but it rained when we were there.

I just had the most delicious roasted chicken dish at Calle Latin. Excellent service, too! The ambiance is lovely with beautiful authentic music. With the holidays here, I cannot wait to take friends and family to this local restaurant that really is an excellent option for Decatur and Avondale Estates.

Now it is a tight space inside but the food was really good. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. From the Arepas to the garlic shrimp mofongo this is a great lunch spot. If you are in the Downtown Decatur area and want something delicious for lunch you should give them a try.

We pass by Calle Latina often and decided to give them a try. The reviews weren't awful so we wanted to judge for ourselves. Let me start by saying we were extremely underwhelmed. We arrived and were seated. Placed our order, black beans and rice, tostones, monfongo, and an arepa. The rice and beans were flavorless and cold. Not sure why they even bothered to put a hard piece of butter on top. The toatones were fine but could have done without what tasted like sweet and sour sauce on top. The monfongo was decent but what wasn't was the ROACH that crawled by on the wall as we ate. Decatur offers so many wonderful places to eat. I wish I had spent my $70 somewhere else! The restaurant itself was cute is why we also wishes it gave more! Now we know!

We are new to Atlanta and my Spanish boyfriend was craving Spanish/latin food which is at a minimum here. I happened upon Calle Latina while searching for a place for his birthday. Their menu represents various Latin American and Spanish dishes and they had great reviews so I booked us a table. We were welcomed when we walked in and seated within a few minutes. The decor was pleasing but the music was a little loud and made it hard to have a conversation. The margarita was tasty if a little small for the price. The empanada fillings were tasty although the ends were a little to crispy. I ordered the Brazilian Pincho Sirloin and was really looking forward to some juicy pieces of medium rare steak, I was severely disappointed. Even though the steak was medium rare it was dry and tough. Some of the veggies were cooked and some were almost raw, on top of it al the chef forgot to put the polenta on my plate. My partner had the Mofongo with steak and caramelized onions. There was not enough sauce and when he asked for more they told him that they could not do that but they could give him some chicken broth, which he took because it was a little dry. The steak was tasty and the plantains in the Mofongo were sweet and savory but the onions were not cooked enough to be caramelized. Bottom line, not worth the $$ and will not be going back.

Great food! Service was prompt too. But the location is terrible and can not seem to stop people coming up while eating outside and harrassing diners. A different location would be good for this restaurant.

Those empanadas are AMAZING!! The black bean and crab are the best. I don't eat meat so not sure about the others. Also the salad and black beans and rice are amazing as well

Ordered two sopas de arroz con pollo (chicken soup) for delivery. At $10 each, what a rip off! Tiniest little soup, the two barely filled an average size bowl. The taste also lacked, just awful. This is one of my favorite dishes growing up can declare this is the worst I've ever had.

My mom and I came here for the Peruvian dishes (we're Peruvian) We're very picky when it comes to our Peruvian food We ordered the lomo saltado and the ceviche del peru and they were so good! Tried another place in the area that was just a peruvian place and it was awful. 10 out of 10 would recommend this place! We also got the empanadas (2 chicken and 2 beef) they were so delicious as well!

Amazing tacos, great food and appetizers. I got the shrimp tacos, forgot what they were called but they were so delicious. Came with a side of beans and rice. The chips and guacamole were also spectacular

Great food. The kids quesadilla is super good. La reina is great as tacos and a burrito. Normally we get the tres leches cake which is super well-soaked and yummy. We also order the Jarritos :)

While visiting Atlanta, I had the opportunity to come here and was not disappointed. They make a delicious pisco sour (Peruvian cocktail). My carne asada meal was so flavorful as was my maracuyá mousse cake. I also recommend their calle fish tacos.

Great little spot on the corner in downtown Decatur. I will say the website is a bit deceiving --it's super nice and fancy--but the spot is def more a of chill almost divey spot and not fancy. Prices are $10-25 for most dishes but portions are worth it. We have dined here a few times now and the dishes we tried are well flavored and have an authentic feel {yes I've been to Peru and had mufungo there etc } not sure if they call themselves Peruvian per say but def have some of those dishes along with your typical Spanish type empanadas and tacos etc. The shrimp mufungo I had the other night was a good portion and very tasty. We also get a set of empanadas bc those rock and the sauce to dip is super yummy paired with. Seating inside is quaint and tight quarters, so it's easily busy during covid bc of distance seating --they also have some outdoor seating near sidewalk outside. Customer service is pretty solid so far -- You can also find them on grub hub. We used it the other night and somehow our order got delayed over 30 min late and they refunded us the whole $60 meal which was super gracious and much appreciated. Def check them out for a low key date night or meal with friends. #shoplocal

Came here with a girlfriend for lunch and we both really enjoyed it! Located be next to a metro PCS and small market right off Decatur Square. The exterior appearance can be a little concerning. There's a small outdoor patio area. The interior is also minimal and small. Not much for ambiance but the food and service makes up for it. Our server was attentive without being intrusive. Friendly guy. The food was super authentic and GOOD. We got to try: Tostones with Cheese and Pineapple Salsa: Crunchy fried plantains without being greasy. The pineapple salsa was super yummy. I couldn't get enough of it. Chuletas de Puerco - Citrus Garlic Infused Pork Loin Ribs, Cilantro Rice, Orange Pepita Salad: MY FAVE. The ribs, pork loin, and rice were perfectly seasoned. I could've eaten seconds. Paella Valencia - Seared and Simmered Shrimp, Mussels, Squid: Pretty good! Reminded me of the paella I had in Barcelona. Shrimp was super fresh and PLUMP. Just the way I like them! Tres Leches Cake: The condensed milk drizzle on the whip cream made this delicious. I wasn't an actual fan of the cake. It tasted too dry and crumbly. They also have some GREAT weekend drink specials. It's $15 for unlimited sangrias on Saturdays and mimosas on Sundays. Will definitely have to be back for weekend fundays!

This was an awesome hole in the wall Cuban joint tucked away on the outskirts of the downtown Decatur square. We came here after visiting a friend nearby and downtown Decatur sure is a hidden gym! This food was authentic and tasty, however be warned that there isn't much space so expect a wait or to be cramped. We had a delicious shrimp appetizer and it was so good we ordered another one. The rice, beans, and our cubanos were savory. Overall food was great and service was excellent.

New much improved location, spacious and inviting. Welcome menu diversity and sensibly priced. I tasted small bites of several items and found all quite tasty.

Yum!!!! Linked up with an old friend at this spot.... small little cute spot in downtown Decatur with very yummy yuca fries. I also ordered a grilled chicken Quesadilla- just cheese and chicken. Great flavors. The service was great, I was a little nervous seeing how small the place was, I was thinking its probably best to get a table outside. The Waitress wore a mask and kept checking on us. The prices were good..... they actually have a pretty good menu, if you are in the area you definitely have to check this place out.

I've heard great things about Calle Latina and work about 2 minutes away but it's taken me a year to finally visit. I'm glad I made the trip. Walking inside the restaurant it is a little small. It fits at most maybe 30-35 people on the inside with several small patio tables in the front outdoors patio. When we got in we were seated then greeted by our server (Dewan, I'm pretty sure I spelled it incorrectly). My date and I immediately ordered a Calle Margarita each then took some time to look over the menu. We started with the black bean hummus appetizer. To my surprise (because I didn't read the menu lol) it came with slices of toasted rustic bread, closely resembling a thin sliced artisan bread. For the amount of hummus you get, it's not enough bread. We asked for additional bread and the server brought us 4 more pieces which was perfect for all the hummus. For our entrees, initially we had a couple questions about the Calle and Platos Grande meals. The server was very informative and able to answer our questions. I decided to go with the fried fish tacos under the platos grande and my date order the De Camaron burrito under the calle section. The server warned the platos grande was big and he was not kidding. I had plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day. Both orders came with a side of black beans and white rice. I also asked for an extra side of mango salsa, which ended up coming out as the full mix of mango slaw with pieces of mango, carrots, and Cole slaw mixed together. Both meals were delicious. My date said that was the most flavorful meal he's had in a while. Before the night ended we ordered another margarita each. In total our meal came out to be about $94. It was an extra $5 for my side order of mango salsa, which we weren't informed. The Calle margaritas were $10, de Cameron Calle was $15, and fish taco platos grande was $17. I would definitely take another visit to Calle Latina in the future. There's a few more menu items I want to try.
