Callies has upped their game to include music and a raw bar on Sundays. A nice family friendly outdoor place to meet with friends and maybe let the kids run around a little while the adults don't. It's easy to keep your eyes on them.

This is sad!! This establishment should be embarrassed to charge $9 for this pathetic order of fries!!!

I ordered a salad to go the Asian salad I only got 6 little squares of chicken not a even a full chicken breast portion my salad was les then half full so I paid 15 dollars for less then half a salad and 6 little squares of chicken this people just like to rip people off do not go there or order from Thai place and also I only got lettuce and 2 pieces of tomatoes this is not an Asian salad

I recently visited the Sandwich Shop and was very pleased! The establishment has a pleasant and cozy interior, and the service was at the highest level. I ordered some sandwiches, which were very tasty and fresh. I also liked the large selection of drinks. Overall, I would definitely recommend Sandwich Shop to anyone looking for a delicious and cozy place for lunch or dinner.

Cashier decided to confront me for talking casually (saying yo) in a casual environment and getting a chicken sandwich with stale bread wasn't great. Used to be way better but haven't had a good experience lately, wouldn't recommend in the future.

Callie's is a great local spot located in Belle Harbor. It has delicious burgers homemade soup and the famous Callie's chicken sandwich They also have daily specials. Great for lunch or dinner.. Prices are average and you can order ahead or have it delivered. It's a great summertime spot because of the outdoor seating & bar. The cashier Trish is awesome I would definitely recommend this place.😎

Best service. Amazing food. Cashier was incredible! Friendly, fast, fantastic! Chef’s are unbelievably talented. Small place with big flavor! I go here at least 4 times a week. Never disappointed. Almost addictive, no definitely addictive! Thrilled to have this addition to Rockaway Beach. Best chicken sandwiches, burgers and salads. I love it!!! 5 stars. No doubt

Received from mail order the most delightful biscuits and pimento cheese! Just so flavorful, the right size to have for a snack or breakfast. I LOVE the pimento cheese as the base for a puff pastry tart with tomatoes or artichokes!

This place is completely understaffed! Especially for this time of year! One hour wait time for our food. Other places with much better service. Not the servers fault. The owner doesnt want to higher more staff! Gave them a second chance and tried to ordered by phone. Good luck 45 minutes on hold! So many other choices for better food with much better service.

Went here for a quick bite to eat. The atmosphere is causal and has outdoor seating. They have good roast beef sandwiches! Definitely come here for a quick sandwich, salad or a side. They also have a bar in the back.

The atmosphere is awesome. There's a beautiful outside seating area that's well done with Adirondack chairs and picnic benches and tables. Pretty plants and flowers. Came around 9:00pm on a Saturday for some dessert. We decided to grab a burger and chicken sandwich with fries. the food was good. The dessert was really bad. got a waffle with chocolate ice cream. They put it in the bag with the hot food. It was immediately melted and weird. I asked for more ice cream and they did it. No problem. The waffle was like a brick. Very strange. I would suggest people go there for the food and forget the dessert.

I have to admit that I was skeptical when approaching this place today a guitar player was in the corner and there was a crowd of people seemingly enjoying it. But I was wrong, my order was taken by a friendly girl and she explained the menu item had changed but suggested that I order the All American burger & fries it was delicious the burger was very good and the fries were fresh out of the fryer as if they were cooked on the sun the perfect amount of salt seemed to be added at the finish to compliment this great meal. The nice girl at the front handed me my bag and I was off . Service Food Ambiance Would definitely recommend and try again

Home Callie's home So I grew up on the beach, and always seek places that make me feel at home. It's almost like this place was made for me. Not only is the bar a 5 min walk from the ocean, its as local feeling as they come. As in, the local softball game we just passed let out, and both teams showed up for a round, kinda local. Again, my kinda place Walking in, you'll find a bunch of picnic-style tables, and Adirondack chairs, along with a small fire pit that wasn't lit the night we stopped in (LOVE a fire pit). You order food at the counter closest to 129th and pay, and grab a table. If you're like me, you'll head to the other side of the little building and order a drink at the bar (same building, not the same window). Yes, they have a little outdoor bar with a few large TVs that play local games (the Yankees were on when we were having a light dinner and happy hour drinks). The patio on by the bar also has a deck, which I imagine is nice when it's wet (the main area is ground). The bar slings cocktails, frozen drinks, homemade hard ice tea, and also has little coolers outside where you can just grab a beer and let the bartender know. I love this - the bartender was on break, I grabbed a claw and nodded to her. Felt just like I was home. Decent enough food (I had fish n chips), reasonably priced drinks, and a killer vibe, if you're looking for a spot to get off the beach and grab a beer, look no further.

Saw this online and drove over to have a late lunch after a beach trip. The garden is super nice, a bunch of wooden benches in the middle of shrubs and flowers, off to the side is a section with high tops and feels more like a bar. We ordered at the main window, and they said it would be around 20 mins. We were happy to sit in the garden in great weather and hang out. The food was pretty basic, shrimp and fries had some super over fried oily shrimp, fish and chips was ok, fish sandwich was alright, and my son loved the hot dog with Mac and cheese (yuck/yum..?!). Main problem were the kids serving / taking orders, it seemed like a bunch of teenagers running the show, and they were messing about with each other and swearing. The kid taking our order ignored us for a bit while he ate his lunch. We ate our ultra deep fried food (They got our order wrong and I had to sit there for another 10 Mins while they added a meal which was on our list ask paid for but didn't come out). Then we went back to the counter to order some ice cream for kids dessert. They have chocolate and vanilla- but kid said vanilla was out and we would have to wait 30 mins for vanilla to be back on. We ordered 4 chocolates instead and paid. After 5 mins or so we saw a couple of girls walk away with vanilla which was annoying. 15 mins later we still had not got our ice cream and others seemed to- we went and asked- the kid serving said he had not actually told anyone about our order which is why we didn't have it. So they quickly got it for us. The ice cream was nice but whole thing got quite painful. Also the kids behind the counter were really not making much effort. At one point one of them told one of the others to stop f***@ing messing around and f$&ing swearing.... right in front of a bunch of children. Whoever owns this place would hopefully be horrified to realize what their staff is doing and how badly they are doing it. Place has potential and a nicely laid out venue but needs a staff shake up.

Great food, great service! Highly recommend the French dip sandwich and the grilled chicken sandwich. And the kids LOVE the fries.

Callies's rocks the Rockaways. It's our go to for fast casual. I have tried many things on their menu and they are ALL excellent. The specials are also excellent. They have parking and a ton of outdoor tables. I had the pork short ribs and they were insanely good. They have great roast beef , chicken sandwiches, burgers and the fish and chips were above average too.

Love love LOVE it here! This is the perfect post beach eat seeing that it's only about two blocks from the beach. You may have trouble finding parking close by but I promise it's all worth the search around the block. Callie's is fenced in and it gives off park vibes ( lots of room if you want to bring your dog, I guess) . Theres plenty of picnic tables with umbrellas for shade and lawn chairs too. Definitely a Covid-19 friendly spot considering all seating is located outdoors. As you enter you'll see a window where you order your food/drinks. I had the fish and chips as well as the sweet chili crispy cauliflower...The cauliflower was divine. Had the right amount of crunch, and (since I like to smell my food as much as I like to eat it) I would like to note that the spicy (not too spicy) aroma tingled my nose in the most satisfying, dreamy way. Anyway, the fish and chips was pretty awesome. The fries were perfect too. This was one of those meals where I get full half way, but power through to the end because the food is too good to let it get cold/go to waste. Now the cherry on top is that there is (a bathroom) a bar on the opposite side of where you order your food and regular drinks. They have this delicious frozen strawberry lemonade that they sell for $5 a cup, $10 if you wanna add some alcohol. I also must mention the wonderful selection of sauces they have, but you will need to ASK for them. The tartar sauce didn't come with my fish and chips, but don't worry it and the rest of the condiments are free. I def will be coming back soon!

Today was my first time in the area. After a yelp search, this seemed like best option. I ordered for myself, and 2 co workers. We did a pick up order. My burger was great! I have to say, this is the best burger I have had in a while. My co workers said there food was great also. I will be returning soon to try something else.

Great outdoor space. Sick spot for drinks and a bite to eat. Live events are great year round but especially in the summer. They do a great job and the chefs are very approachable.

Really a pathetic excuse for a sandwich. You can tell there was absolutely ZERO care taken in making this sandwich- either bad management or bad cooks

This is my 4th times at this place the foods always decent here but I have to give it one star because of the bad service... all of the kids that behind the register absolutely rude and no service mind seems like a bunch of them rather to stay home or don't want to be here Very low effort...we ordered foods and were waiting there for like 20mins while everyone after us got their foods so we walked to asking them where is our foods then we found that our foods has been for the shelf for a whole time. I don't know who hired them but they're not good for the business at all.

Nothing is fresh .. 13 yr olds work here , after my regents my friends and I came to the beach .. got hungry , ate Callie's .. sh-t food Mac and cheese definitely not homemade , I don't think any of the food is ... picos , Jamesons , much better .

Great food, very comfortable outdoor seating, and excellent adult beverages! Great for all ages. Food can be slow at times, but it's worth it. They have lots of ways to preorder so you don't have to wait.

I was so excited to eat here until my daughter and her friend went to get drinks when the lady told them she couldn't serve them because they were wearing bathing suit tops. The place is a few blocks from the beach, so it makes sense to have people wearing bathing suits. The lady also kicked out 3 other people after she refused to serve our kids. But she didn't kick out a man wearing no shirt or 2 young girls wearing no shoes and no pants. If I could I would give it 0 stars. Absolutely appalling. Disgusting.

Amazingly hearty lunch at this Rockaway Queens restaurant. If in this beach area of Queens you MUST order a hot roast beef sandwich with cheese, side of well done fries & Thai coleslaw. Wash it all down with their strawberry - lemonade slushee! It's an easy breezy order at the cashier and your meal is brought to you at one of the wood picnic tables. Delicious, fun and reasonably priced.

It would be nice if they let you know they've changed the chicken tenders. There's constantly multiple variations and when feeding small children the price adds up to be served something that is nothing like the last time. A simple hey we've changed our tenders again would be nice. Bait and switch really isn't the best way to go but I guess that's the Callie's way

Not worth for your money from hamburger to anything on the menu... why!? ... they include no cold slaw or French fries with anything on the menu everything is separately priced and costly and there food that are fried there oil needs to be changed. Fries suck 100%

Awesome food and outdoor atmosphere. Loved the fried chicken sandwich - one of the best I've ever had! We spent several hours on a Saturday. Great new addition to Rockaway. Love the wood work here as well! Will be back

Just stopped in for lunch after a trip from upstate NY. Loved the ambiance! We got the crispy chicken sandwich with callies special sauce. The chicken was delicious but the sauce brought it to the next level. Would definitely stop by here again on our next trip down.

Didn't expect it but, Callie's was really amazing. Wonderful ambiance, clean and good service. Each and every single thing that we have ordered was extra fresh and tasty. The service was also terrific and every one was nice. Overall, I love Callie's.

What a great little spot. It includes a nice outdoor area with ample seating. I had the crispy Callie's chicken sandwich. It came out very quickly and was excellent. It looked like there was a bar area but it was not open, so I look forward to enjoying some drinks upon my next visit.

Food was pretty good I would recommend it I love their courtyard sit down and eat the finger food that you just ordered

Really nice and spacious area with spread out seating if your on your own or with a group. Solid burger and fries with a really refreshing and sweet drinks.

First off I want to say that I am not one to complain about businesses but if I was able to give this place zero stars I would! The workers were nothing but rude accusing me of lingering around "causing trouble" after purchasing food while all I did was wait for my food to be served to me. Not only that but the rude worker ended up canceling my order and refused to give it to me because I was again "causing trouble" by just sitting quietly by myself waiting for it to be ready. Not only that but after I placed my order another worker told me I was not allowed to use the restroom because he did not believe me when I said I already ordered my food. In general no matter what you should treat your customers with the upmost respect especially when they are doing absolutely nothing wrong. Save your self the trouble from giving your service to a business that does not care about their

the food was alright, the chicken sandwiches were swimming in sauce and the girl in the front working the register was rude. I was with 2 other people and we didn't order much, and she said with a tone "can you guys just pay together it's easier for me" as if it wasn't obvious we were paying together anyway. then when one person went back to get something else and asked to pay with card she had such a snotty attitude and went "mhm". grow up, especially coming from someone who's probably the same age as her. no reason to be met with such a rude demeanor, especially since she's reflecting the business.
