We stayed 1 night, passing through, to see the sites. There is a beautiful view of the city hall at the end of the street. We pulled up and had to go inside to get a valet. ($66 per night, btw.) Gathering our things, a gentleman asked if we were checking in, showed us to the automatic, rotating door, and brought us to the lobby on the 2nd floor to check in. There seemed to be some chaos at the desk. The person checking us in was helping the next person before finishing with the first. She also did this when we checked out. She would tell the person she was helping to wait and then take the next person. Its didn't make sense and came off as rude. She didnt tell us we had to scan our room card on the elevator. Thankfully, a kind employee on the 3rd floor (we couldn't get above the 3rd floor) told us to scan our card. Finally getting to our room, it was clean and cool. A king bed which was pretty comfy, a bench along a window, and a desk/kitchen area. Everything we needed. The view wasn't great, but we didnt expect much. The bathroom had bluetooth speakers for the shower. The shower, however, did not have a door or curtain. There was half a glass wall. It seemed enough, but upon showering, half the bathroom got soaked. Towels had to be left along the opening of the shower.
The hotel is located close to the theaters and plenty of restaurants. Only about a half mile walk to Magic Gardens and Independence Hall. There is an awful stench around the street outside. We thought maybe its was just the construction around the corner, but it seemed to be everywhere we went!
Its was quiet enough. There is a restaurant on the lobby level. There is also a rooftop bar, whoch must also be a nightclub on the weekends. Friday night there was a line and bouncer at one elevator, checking IDs. Upon checkout, texting the valet for our car did not work. When we left we had to wait a bit for our car. The valets were very helpful, otherwise.
