Camden Market

The overall experience was great. The Market is vibrant, diverse and offers an eclectic mix of sights and smells. The food court caters for most dietary options, offering a wide selection of options. The stalls have a wide range of goods on sale and the majority of vendors are nice and charming (obviously). There are some minor negatives worth mentioning though. If you're driving to the area do your research about parking - it can be an issue. There are various options available, it's just a question of finding and deciding which one works for you. Public toilets are a £1 - they are very clean but attract a cost all the same. The food is a little pricey, as are the goods on sale. I suppose it's not your typical market but just be mindful that goods on sale do attract a premium price. If you're going with small kids, keep an eye on them - the place does get very crowded. Besides that, I'd recommend the market as a destination for exploring the more eclectic elements of London.

A great eclectic choice of little bespoke shops. If you're after something different and special it'll probably be here. From gifts to bespoke made real leather belts and handbags. This place probably has it all set in beautiful surroundings with food and drink on tap as you go around. Great afternoons entertainment if you like to shop or just browse.

Camden Market is truly a food lover's paradise. During my recent visit, I was blown away by the variety and quality of food on offer. I started my culinary journey with a coconut chicken curry served with rice and spicy chili chutney. The curry was rich and creamy, perfectly balanced by the heat of the chutney. It was a delightful start that left my taste buds tingling. Next, I indulged in some chicken dumplings. They were succulent, with a delicate wrapper and a flavorful filling. Each bite was a little burst of joy. To refresh my palate, I sipped on fresh orange juice. It was exactly what I needed—a simple yet invigorating drink that brought a vibrant, zesty note to my meal. For the finale, I tried the lamb with crispy French fries. The lamb was tender and juicy, and the fries were perfectly crisp, providing a satisfying crunch with every bite. Camden Market is an amazing place to explore a variety of cuisines. Each stall offers something unique, making it a perfect spot for anyone looking to try new and exciting flavors. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this market is a must-visit for a memorable food experience.

Definitely worth visiting. It is a tourist attraction, but markets attract crowds anyway — so, yes, busy, but it's to be expected. A fair few shops and stalls are overpriced tat, but it's part of its charm. My favourite parts are the temporary fashion pop-ups. ✨️ And I'd recommend reading the plaques about its history so that finding certain signs means something to you, like The Stables arms.

The best food i had so far in London. Vibrant markets and lot of food options. We had the Best desserts till date. We tried Strawberry hot chocolate( tops my list) Humble crumble Custard dessert from Istanbul cafe Fish and chips We visited twice just for the strawberry and hot chocolate

I personally feel that this place have a little bit better aura than Borough Market. Visit here for good quality of food and souvenirs. Boat rides are also available. Nearest metro station is Camden Town.... Regent park is just on 10 min walk away from this place

Great buzzing place. Quirky shops fantastic food and the best lemonade ever! If you plan to come here make a day out of it and arrive hungry so that you can sample the great food on offer. Bring portable stools to sit on as not much seating available and in high demand.

I'd never been that bothered about visiting before, but now I have, I want to go back. This market is next level. The sheer size and character of the place is crazy. You literally need at least 2 days. The Cyber dog shop with a DJ downstairs and Humble Crumble were 2 of my stand-out places, but there is a crazy amount of places to visit. Obviously, avoid the food stalls around dinner/ lunchtime as they get crazy busy, and everyone insists on taking photos of their food, but apart from that, this place is so worth a visit. I just wish I lived closer.

Camden is for sure different then some of the other markets in London but like all the markets it is a must to visit. We came of food and let me tell you they have a lot of it and pretty much all of it looks good. I walked by a bunch of booths trying to find the right food and honestly I wasn't even sure what I was hungry food but one of the places we walked by we were offer a sample. Not even really sure what we were trying but hey it's free I'm not gonna say no. The chicken we tried was very good so I looked at the booth it had come from that being Cheesy Naan Melts. Cheesy Naan Melts was a concept I had never heard of but once looking it over it sounded amazing. Think of a Grilled Cheese but on Naan with Middle Eastern seasoned meats and sauces (I think more specifically Pakistani). I had to get something from here because again I had very seen or heard of anything like it. I went with the Lamb Shish Kebab Naan Melt and got the spicy sauce with it. Within 10 minutes my food was ready and it was amazing. The Naan was crispy but still soft loaded with cheese and lamb and the lamb was so tender and flavorful too with just the right amount of spicy to it too. I know it's not really a Grilled Cheese but I don't have much to compare it too. I will say it's for sure top 3 Grilled Cheese I have ever had though. Mine was so good that Ashley then went and got one and my parents got 2. I also got to try Ashley's Masala Chicken Naan Melt and she got Masala Fries too. Both absolutely amazing as well. CHEESY NAAN MELTS, remember it because it's amazing and the one guy working there is doing it all too. Which they had their own Yelp page but this place is for sure a must to stop by at Camden Market.

London is always a lot, so much to see and you have to prioritize. After doing all the things (Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Harrods, London Eye, etc.), Camden is a fun detour (and about a 30m ride on the tube). Total Venice Beach vibes, the good and bad. During daylight hours we loved thumbing through records, all of the unique crafts, jewelry, clothing, street art, and interesting people. Goth and punk stores were giving ghost of Hollywood Blvd past and I am here for that now and forever. Amy Winehouse is everywhere. Zombiepunk4(IG) was right by Lock Bridge with a ton of his friends selling selfies and talking shite to tourists. Food stalls were hit or miss but there were many choices. It was windy AF and freezing so the hot mulled wine warmed my soul. Didn't love every single t-shirt shop (bands, weed, touristy themes) manned by aggressive sellers, plus the counterfeit goods - Gucci sneakers for $20? K. Seeing that made me question every other shoe shop that looked legit. When we saw that the Lost Souls pizza pop up at True Romance didn't open til 5, we made a mental note to return later. Damn - this area hits different after dark on a weeknight, kids. Full Silent Hill meets Raccoon City. The shoppes and markets were closed and shuttered, and the already long walk from the subway felt much longer. Pizza was sold out and there were not many other options open :( Yeah, there were people around but no friendly faces, so my spidey sense told me it was time to go. Fear can be fun, but lasts about as long as a roller coaster ride. So, as there was nothing legal left to do there we retreated back to our part of town for the rest of the night. Definitely worth a visit if you have time (while the sun is up).

Great place to shop for more affordable souvenirs. So many restaurants and most of the food we had were very delicious. It is very crowded and you have to watch out for solicitors. Some areas are not very nice and were filled with trash and homeless people. The majority of the people were tourist. Overall, the market is a fun place to walk around and I would come back.

Definitely one of the best places to visit in London. They've great little stores with some wonderful food. We tried a crepe at a store at the beginning of the market and we also tied Indian cheese melts! Omg those were to die for!! This place is so unique and bustling and there's something for everyone. The prices are all fair and inexpensive as it's more of a buy as you go. There's plenty of seating areas with covering which we realized was a necessity very quickly as it was raining! Overall we loved it!

One of my favorite markets in London is Camden Market! I arrived early one morning and was able to get some photos before the hot spots were filled with shoppers! Lots of great vendors to buy items that are not ordinary souvenirs. Also, photo opportunities galore if you are a poser and looking for some great backdrops, like umbrella alley. The history of the market having once been horse stables is honored through the art! Restaurants, vendors that sell high end fashion clothing or collector t-shirts and leather goods. They have it all, even a lady that makes custom jeans and jackets by sewing patches on while you wait. I bought some clothes and felt like the quality is well made and the prices were reasonable. Impressive location that is just beautiful and a must see!

This is a must visit for all London travelers! Amazing market and a food haven! Very busy, crowded but it has everything you can possibly imagine, clothes, beer, food, gift shops, a lot of street foods....it could literally keep me entertained all day! I love Camden and I will come visit again!

This place is a mecca for foodies. Miles of food stalls of all types of food. They have some shops too, but the food is incredible!!! We got curry, a thanksgiving flavored burrito with chicken and potatoes in a stuffing wrap. We also had a delectable sausage!!! I like this better than the borough market. If you had to pick one, go here for more options.

Aug 2023 Fun area of retailers and restaurants. There were also a handful of souvenir shops. One of the streets had colorful umbrellas which made for a nice photo opp. I purchased an Oreo donut stick from one of the vendors. It was piping hot, fresh, and scrumptious!

A trip to London would not be complete without a stop at their top markets, Camden amongst them. It can seem a bit overwhelming, but once you settle in it's really not so bad. The food options are a plenty and of such a great variety. The location is super cool along the water (albeit a bit difficult to take pictures given how many people there are). The seating areas include these makeshift igloo pods that were not hard to find a spot in. Easy enough to get to, as well. And when you're done eating, the other offerings are the market are worth a wander.

Stopped by Camden Market during my trip to London and had a lovely visit. Solid options for vendors and shops! As for food, we tried Baba G's,The Yorkshire burrito and got tons of fresh squeezed orange juice. First and foremost, the Yorkshire Burrito is overrated! We ordered the chicken one, would probably recommend the beef over the chicken. The line to order was long as was the line waiting to pick up your food. Baba G's lamb burger was delicious. We watched Million Pound Menu on Netflix and knew we needed to try Baba G's! The onion bhaji really took the burger up a notch. The spicy sauce on the burger was great! Both options were super filling and could easily be shared by two people. The pressed orange juice was FRESH and tasty! We bought 3 large bottles and are craving more days later! We also purchased a cute London mug. Solid value for what you are offered at Camden Market! The view walking by the water is beautiful as well.

It's a sprawling market and much bigger than you initially might think. Louder, busier and more chaotic than the Portobello Road one, but this one caters to a slightly different demographic and delivers a range of experiences: from Moomin store (frankly, one of unexpected and favorite finds there) to vinyl shops to the usual "tourist trap" stuff. Not sure that it's worth a repeat unless you are on a mission and know exactly what you can get there and where.

If you make it to London, it's a must visit! Variety is definitely the spice of life... Plenty of stores to shop in and places to eat...

Camden market has a buzzing atmosphere. It's a maze of vintage shops, leather goods, accessories, books, record shops, toys and food kiosks all situated in old stables. Here you will also find the Amy Winehouse Statue which I'm a big fan of and took multiple photos. I would plan to spend a good few hours here as there is so many shops and stalls and things to see but it's time and money well spent but it can be an expensive day out.

Camden Market is a cool place that has something for everyone. It is extremely busy though, so if you want to go to food stands, like Funky Chips, the earlier you go, the better. A huge con of Camden Market is that each food stand is so small and only has a couple working each one, so vendors like Funky Chips, can't keep up with all the orders. I enjoyed the steak fries I got from Steak & Burger and the Dutch pancakes I got (can't remember the vendor). I highly recommend both. Another con of of Camden Market is that you have to pay £1 to use the bathroom, which I feel is odd.

Artsy-touristy place. You can find all sorts of curiosities and knickknacks, as well as some worthwhile items. The best part about these place is the food stalls though. Come with a hearty appetite and try as many cuisines and drink as you can. Extra tip: The bathroom situation is a bit dire. Some of the restrooms you have to pay, others are free. None of them are very clean.

Located in a mural-filled neighborhood, Camden Market is a large market full of shops, restaurants, and cafes. Budget an hour to just wander, stopping into the shops that sell clothes, bags, art, anything. One highlight is that they have glass igloo stalls for sitting and eating food.

Our host in London suggested visiting Camden Market, because the vibe was different than other places in London. I recommend checking it out.

I have been to Camden Town 3 times and only on the 3rd time did I realize there was even a market here!!! I recommend spending half a day here to really take in all the shops, unique artisans and plenty of food. Very easy to get to using the Northern Line!!! One of my favorite shopping places in the world!

This was such a fun area to explore. I came on a Sunday, got there way too early (most places do not open until 10am, food stalls sometimes 11am or noon). But, that allowed me some time to see it all uncrowded as the place does get packed. Some food highlights include the Cheese Wheel Pasta and Yorkshire Burrito - thanks Instagram for influencing me there. Shopping offered here was not my cup of tea, lots of repeat shops of odd things, but it was fun to browse. I also found the London Water Taxi service here and bought a ticket to the Little Italy area - this is a fun way to get to a different part of London, so check it out.

Lots of shops and fun walking. If you haven't had good luck finding ur favorite foods, it's time to find new favorites, i would have loved spending the day sampling booth to booth! Funky Chips had a line around the block, Steak & Fries (steak camden) was what i had and it was delish, bubble pancake right on the corner fresh and delicious done with ur favorite toppings. Plenty of shopping for everyone, bring cash to barter or of course card & tap pay available. Cyberdog is a unique experience with a punk environment!

Was interesting to browse and a lot of different food choices. I was hoping more of the ships would be local merchandise but so many were full of cheap import items.

We walked around shopping and then looked for something to eat. We found a ton of different options for different cuisines. We had a lot of fun checking out the different shops and loved the variety of food choices. It was a great day experience

This is a foodies paradise. so much food and so so good. this place was the best food market i've ever been to and it's not even close. try the mac and cheese! and the naan quesadilla.

I don't really get why but, there isn't a lot of vegetarian food and resturants and I couldn't eat anything.

This market is amazing! You could easily spend a whole day here. So many food stalls it's ALMOST overwhelming. They definitely have something for every appetite. And so many awesome vendors selling every item imaginable. If you're into vintage items this would be right up your alley. Overall the market is a vibe and worth checking out if you're in London. I cannot wait to return!

Camden Market is a must-visit for anyone visiting London. We had such a fun time here! It's a huge market with something for everyone, from vintage clothing to handmade jewelry to street food. The atmosphere was buzzing mostly with 20 YO and teenagers shopping around and eating. I highly recommend spending a few hours exploring Camden Market!

This place is great!! Perfect for picking up little nicknack souvenirs (ok ink pens, socks, stuffed animals, tote bags, key chains, landmark items, and much much more, all London themed), purses, hats, t-shirts, shoes, belts, scarfs, etc. You name it, they probably have it! You can even make deals of merchandise, with the sellers. Shop after shop, full of fun and cool things to take home after your visit. Now, let's talk about THE FOOD!! You name it, they have it! Lots and lots, rows and rows, of all types of ethnic food stalls!! And my all time fav: BUN BOY, Korean Chicken Sandwiches & Burgers. They are like nothing you've had before! Containing different sauces (You can try prior to buying), slaw, and cooked to beautiful perfection! The burgers were great, but the Chicken Sandwich was FAR BEYOND great!! When I say to you, I'm t was the best chicken sandwich I've ever eaten- Believe Me!! It was! They also had regular Coke a colas!! Not an easy find in good establishments in London. I left totally full and satisfied. Also returned another day during my visit to have the sandwich again. It was totally worth the trip! This entire area was great fun. Very enjoyable. There were many other food options as well. Aisles and alleys of choices! We never made it through them all! There are also ice creams, and several Nutella sweet stands. Final thoughts: I'd highly recommend the Market.

Very colourful and entertaining market for young people and everyone. There was a good selection of food available in the food halls.

My fiancee went to graduate school in London and lived here for a few years. Because of this, he knows his way around pretty well and this was somewhere off the beaten path he wanted me to come that he said most tourists don't often come to. This market is cool - I was able to find some stuff here that I hadn't found anywhere else and at great prices. There was tea, food, clothing, knick-knacks and more. Lots and lots of food available - like if you took a college frat boy and asked them to come up with the worst food nutritionally available, this is how I felt. lol. Like it looked good and sounded good, but, food baby anyone? I purchased a nice football jersey, some tea, and a few snacks. Some of the market is outside the market area, and some of it is in stalls around an outdoor food court, then still there is a "nicer" area of shops with umbrellas we walked under and actual storefronts you can look inside for jewelry and perfumes and other gift items. So it's expansive and can suit all tastes and budgets.

Food options were lots and plenty but it's not as big of a market as people make it out to be? It probably took my friend and I two and a half hours to walk the entire thing. Granted, it was also rainy the day I went. There's a lot of small, interesting shops and a vintage market that sells fair-priced clothes, so still definitely worth a visit.

a million times cooler than portobello market. i could not believe how many vendors with tasty drinks & food were to be seen at every blink of an eye. the crowds here are wild but so intriguing. the environment is accepting and welcoming. this is the place to be! i came here for vegan food and boba or bubble tea ^-^ as well as specialty coffee! totally worth visiting. would absolutely come back again!

Oh my gosh this place is amazing!! Not only is there a plethora of food so no matter what you're craving you'll have options (Italian, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, french fries galore, falafel, crêpes, waffles, burritos, and probably more things that I even missed) but the food is not overpriced compared to other things I've seen in London and it is just so delicious!! I got a bao from an Asian place and then I got the loaded fries from a french fry place. I wish I could tell you which Asian place it was, but they did have their bao bun on display and it was so delicious. They gave it to me with some of the sauce from another meat dish and it was literally one of the best things I have eaten in London. The loaded fries hit the spot perfectly as well and I was super full after a well priced meal!! This place also has cool little shops and stuff and trinkets to look around in. Overall the vibes are so great and such a fun place to hang out and have dinner and an activity with your friends

Hideous. The worst touristy kitsch this side of Venice Beach. Don't waste your time. I am so disappointed that I didn't go to a better market. Yuck.

This is a really nice area to walk around and kill time in the city. We got there very early in the morning. We were so early that many places were not even open yet. I'd recommend coming any time aftef 10am. That seemed to be when most spots were open. We killed time by walking around and finding the spots we did want to go in. Number one was Cereal Killerz. That was fun and nostalgic for the kids and adults. We checked out the Amy Winehouse statue of course. Theres was a very cool candy store which sold ice cream as well. Look for the Hansel and Gretel statues outside. We were able to take pictures in the closed off area inside which was cool. I didn't enjoy my Chimmy cone here because I've had much better. There's plenty of shops, food places, and outdoor seating. There's also a lovely area lined with different color upside down umbrellas which makes a great photo op.

A pretty cool spot called Camden Market which is an open-air market filled with shops and restaurants. It was my first time here but before I even came here I checked out Yelp to see what was inside the market. There is an Amy Winehouse statue and I didn't know she actually lived in the city. That is pretty cool since I actually really love her music. We walked around here but the thing is this place was semi raining on and off so we were getting pretty wet. Glad we got our umbrellas though! Also enjoyed a cup of coffee here and really found the stores super interesting. If you are looking for souvenirs there are tons of shops for that. Don't forget to walk downstairs there are also stores inside!

So great. Just the coolest. I esp love pulling to the side with a snack and watching it all. Don't linger in the middle of the pathways though bc v congested.

300th review for the iconic Camden Market! Wow! A definite must in London, and it my opinion, the best market there is in this city. Came here on New Years Eve when a lot of stores were closed for break and even then, it was an amazing experience. There is a huge variety of different stores that cater to all audiences, although I believe it's more for the artist. Some of my favorites include a clothing shop that sold everything for 5£, a shop dedicated to cheese, and underground passageways that sold very unique clothing. There are so many unique items and art that I have never seen, it was so interesting to see this amount of variety. The best part was that there are so many sections to this market. You can really spend the entire morning just looking around. Also so many different foods too, it's like an international immersion of cultures. There are so many sections just dedicated to food, it's an actual foodie heaven. Definitely recommend if ever here in London. Although it's in Zone 2, it's definitely worth the trip.

Oh my goodness. I swear, if I lived out in London, I'd be here all the time. Yes, it's crowded, and yes, it's busy - but that's half the fun. The energy around this place, the beautiful setting next to the canal, the aroma of all the delicious foods - I can't even begin to describe how wonderful Camden Market is. My husband and I visited during on a Sunday afternoon, and yes, it was packed. We walked around the different stalls (some of which were handing out free samples), while enjoying some live music in the area. Loved people watching as well! Ended up getting fish and chips (yeah, ever the tourist) - and the food was amazing - they fried the fish after dipping it in thick batter right in front of us! I'm definitely coming back. Really loved the vibe of this place. Also enjoyed the super-Instagrammable "umbrella" row! :)

I guess everyone has heard of the famous Camden Market in London and if not, it definitely is a must go! This strip of streets where uncountable vendors offer there divers goods to willing shoppers is just truly amazing! You've got a lot of different street food from burgers, to fries, to Asian... you name it. All around you are people with something deep-fried in their hands. Looking and smelling very good. Regarding shopping - there's nothing you can't buy here. From clothes to shoes of literally all kinds you find antiques, furniture, decoration accessories, paintings, music books and so forth. The market opens at 10 am and the sooner you get there, the better. Cause as we leave like around 1:30 pm, the place is so crowded, that it isn't really fun anymore. And if you do not want to buy food at the small stands and windows, there are also restaurants and cafes all around! Be sure to check out this crazy location! It's worth it!

Easily my favorite place I visited in London! The shops and food stands here are endless. Every corner will amaze you, excite you and have you in awe! The vibe is very hipster, almost Brooklyn like. Outside on the streets there are also endless stores and shops filled with unique items. You can find clothing, food, souvenirs, entertainment and more all rolled into this one vibrant area! I absolutely fell in love with Camden!! And if you are an Amy Winehouse fan like me, keep exploring to find the erected statue for her here!

Super cool place but seriously packed on 12/1/19. Bought some accessories! There was a large outdoor food vendor spot but I ended up eating at a bar restaurant across from the small bridge for 2 reasons. 1) I didnt want to eat standing up. 2) wanted to get out of the crowd. Fyi, The churros wasnt very good.

Camden Market is street food heaven! Definitely a must visit location in London! No matter what you're looking for, they have it here! Visiting here for the first time may be a bit overwhelming, but its a fun environment nonetheless. From street food stalls, antique shops, clothing stores, souvenirs, trinkets/accessories, hipster vibes, and unusual art pieces, there is something that will catch anyone's eye. My advice, explore it all! You can easily spend a couple hours here, and once you've walked up an appetite, try multiple food stalls! Some notable food stalls include a beef bourguignon burger, homemade pasta tossed in a whole cheese wheel, tandoori chicken roti, and so so so much more. I wish I could come back here again soon because there is still so much that we didn't have the time to try out. I'll definitely visit again the next time I'm in London! Pro tip: This is a good place for souvenir shopping if you're visiting from out of town, just be sure to check multiple stores to compare prices and get the best deal.

A good place to get street food but limited options for seating. Lots of food options from savory to sweet. The area and street is very busy, be mindful of your personal items. We saw a few drug deals go down in the streets outside the market. Thieves like to target these places for tourists and an easy penny.

Camden Market is a very diverse community of creative sellers, street food traders and independent stores next to the regent's canal. This market has over 1,000 places to shop, eat,drink and dance in one of the historic London. According to website of Camden Market, this place was market of gin before it was born. It was transported all over the world from the Regent's Canal. The 1970s signaled the end of Camden's industrial heritage and the start of the Market.

Camden Market is one of the most popular markets in all of London, and for good reason. Originating in the 1970's but mostly built up in the early 2000's and further developed in the 2010's, Camden Market is much newer than rival Borough Market on the south bank, extending back for almost 1,000 years. Notable for its counterculture vibe, Camden Town's generally wild and grungy atmosphere bleeds straight into Camden Market, which is rife with loud and rambunctious people, shopkeepers hawking their wares and aggressively offering food samples, eclectic items and knick-knacks, and overall just a lot to take in. There are tons of food stalls with every cuisine imaginable, tons of little shops selling artsy items, and most of all tons of people all packed together like sardines. The experience isn't for the faint of heart, nor is it for the short on cash -- lunch here certainly won't break the bank, but at around £10 for a takeaway meal, you're not going to get a great deal. But it's a fun experience nonetheless, and worth a visit for any tourist or London native up for an adventure.

Also another cool feature, if you are an Amy Winehouse fan (like me), she used to live in Camden and worked at a booth in Camden Market and there is even a Amy Winehouse statue, go check it out! Although we ate before we shopped, Camden Market does have plenty of places to stop and eat at too. Go enjoy a day in Camden Market!

Quirky shopping mecca that qualifies as entertainment, street food eatery and people watching theater. 100's of merchandise booths sell left of center items that are not available at the swank shops of London's finer sectors. Some booths have high quality items that are not low priced. Other booths have cheap crap throw away items that may appeal to your inner hippie. If you are a shop-o-holic who loves to finger the merchandise and engage in conversation with small business vendors, this market is a must see. After your foray here take a walk down the main street of Camden town, lots of counter-cultural sites there as well.

Redundant shops. Very stingy in terms of bags. We bought several souvenirs and they would not give extra bags so we could wrap our stuff so it would not break on the flight home. Semi friendly owners, but beware they can overcharge for tourists. Check around some places are cheaper than others.
