18 Best Greenville, South Carolina, Restaurants | Eater Carolinas

"Chef Diego Abel Campos enjoyed a stint at Napa’s the French Laundry but has found a home in Greenville at Camp. The restaurant opened under the helm of chef Drew Erikson, but Campos has made it his own. His animated personality sparkles at the chef’s counter inside the attractive restaurant, finishing a host of small plates and taking time to greet people at the tables. The menu tends to lean global and is divided between field, sea, and land. A lesser-ordered olives and nuts appetizer is addictively tangy and a local favorite, especially at the busy cocktail bar. Camp’s dining room spills out onto Camperdown Plaza, a pretty spot for cocktails or easy dining at the outdoor counter." - Stephanie Burnette

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We came here for dinner on our wedding day after a spontaneous change of plans, and it couldn’t have turned out better. The restaurant was conveniently located near our hotel in a prime central spot, and from the moment we walked in, the experience felt meant to be. The atmosphere was modern, vibrant, and full of energy—exactly the kind of setting we wanted to celebrate such a special night. Our server was absolutely spectacular. He went above and beyond to make sure we felt celebrated, offering thoughtful food and beverage recommendations that were spot on. The manager also came by to acknowledge our table, which added a personal and courteous touch to the evening. What started as a last-minute change ended up being one of the most memorable parts of our wedding day. We couldn’t have asked for a better place, a warmer welcome, or a more delightful experience. Next time we’re back in Greenville, this will be the first restaurant we revisit. Thank you, team CAMP, for making our day unforgettable!❤️

Google
CAMP consistently has wonderful meals, ambiance and hospitality in their service. The chefs are very accommodating on dietary restrictions (including vegan and gluten free options). Their drinks and seasonal menus are creative and well executed. The restaurant has always been a favorite of ours, but became especially special to us last year when the hurricane derailed our original wedding plans. We stayed local and enjoyed an outstanding wedding dinner, and can’t thank Drew and team enough for redeeming our celebration amidst a trying time for the community. It is now a tradition to return for anniversaries in the years to come. Thank you so much!

Google
The food is amazing! Interesting options with wonderfully balanced flavor profiles. Gambas was our favorite. We liked it so much we came back the next day to order it again. The service was top notch. They recommended drink pairings and we're very attentive.

Google
Good not great. Small portions / tapas style. I enjoyed camp but not every dish aligned with my personal taste. Some of the dishes were a little bit too “try-hard”. The first time we dined there, we had a wonderful meat board; but because the restaurant switches its menu seasonally, when we returned it was replaced with a fish charcuterie… That was simply disgusting !! On the upside, I’d highly recommend the fish dip.

Google
Love their tapas style dining! We were in town & not too hungry. The portions were perfect! The Crudo was ok but we really enjoyed the dumplings & steak. We'll definitely be back.

Google
Made a stop at Camp while down at the jazz festival today. We like sitting on the outside bar area instead of inside because of the open area and fresh area. Wine choices are decent for a midday snack and we ended up getting two appetizers of steak pinchos and pork/shrimp dumplings. The service is always quick and friendly and the food is worth the trip.

Google
Update 8/23/2025 - Absolutely the best. Had the apricot dessert, ans it was amazing. Service is good as always. Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. I love that they change their menu, so that you get to try new things every time you come, and that the dishes are small. Update 6/17: It seems they changed their skirt steak marinade, which wasn't as flavoable as the various times we have been there. We also tasted a new special-some mashed bean dish. It wasn't bad, but it was way too heavy and wasn't for our pallet. We will be back because we have been very impressed with all their dishes so far. Amazing work. Update: absolutely the best. Wonderful service also. This place will be a regular for my husband and myself.

Google
Fantastic food, fantastic service, a wonderful vibe with an open view kitchen. They suggested a vanilla and cinnamon infused margarita that was actually really great for a late lunch, early dinner we got. The only thing that got me was, the portion sizes were a bit "we're so fancy we give you 3 slivers of this delicious meal." And it feels a bit pompous. But, sometimes that's what a fancy restaurant is going for. Now, to their credit, they did state upfront their goal is to have lots of shareable foods. So really, if you go with the idea of sharing and trying lots of different plates and spending the money for it. You'll have a great time, but don't come here to fill up on food. Come here to experience delicious dishes, with fancy complex cocktails and share with friends or for a "bite to eat". It would be nice if they offered even for a bit more price, a larger portion, because I'm a hungry man and wanted a whole lot more of the shrimp dish I got because it was fantastic. Not really a complaint, just a thing that left me wanting. Totally recommend. Just be aware of the price to portion balance. Will come again.

Yelp
I love it here. Their sommelier is so helpful for picking wines. I was sad that they took the pork buns of the menu - please bring them back lol. Their small plates are just each so unique and pleasing. Last time there my favorite was a tofu peanut lettuce wrap - didn't even know it was tofu and would love to know how they achieved such an incredible texture on it! The waiter told us after we ate it and we were in shock!! Great service great food and great drinks. 10/10

Yelp
After wanting to try Camp for a year, we finally went today. Service and ambience were great but the food was only okay. The portions were very small. The pork and shrimp dumplings were okay, but the shrimp and pork did not complement each other well and sauce was overpowering. The scallops were perfectly cooked but the chorizo was too much for the delicate scallops. My son and I both ate the scallops separately from the polenta and chorizo. Overall we were disappointed in our experience after hearing rave reviews, but this was a new menu

Yelp
Sometimes you just go to a place and realize that you probably ordered the wrong things. I think that this is likely what happened to us at CAMP. We were excited to try the restaurant of one of the contestants that we saw on Chopped. We loved the location and the ambiance of the place, very cozy and inviting. The wine list is excellent. Our food however left a bit to be desired. We were not super hungry so we got just 3 tapas to split. The Jamon iberico was a non standard presentation, (perhaps on purpose). In the past when ordering this dish (at other restaurants) we usually got a nicely cut piece of ham wrapped around a perfectly ripe center cut melon (cantaloupe or honeydew depending on season and availability). This allowed for a nice bite with a combination of flavors and textures. What we got was what looked like shaved ham with little dots of cantaloupe on the side. This made it very difficult to eat and if you wanted a bite with both items, there was not nearly enough cantaloupe on the plate. The shrimp and pork dumplings I thought would be a nice choice. They were fried which was not my favorite choice, but I went with it. The flavors of the pork and shrimp seemed to cancel on another out and what you were left with was a bit bland, but not terrible. Lastly we ordered the Chicken Malai Tikka. This is basically grilled chicken with a butter sauce. The lovely Indian spices that I was expecting were dialed down and barely present. It might be a good choice if you wanted to introduce someone to Indian food, but it was not really a dish I would order again. All in all the ambiance and location did make this a place I will try again, just with different food choices.

Yelp
We had reservations and sat at the bar overlooking the chefs. Fun to watch them cook and talk to them. Had appetizers and one entree. Soooo good. Fun evening!

Yelp
Camp is an upscale, yet relaxed restaurant. There's patio seating (dog-friendly!) in addition to the main dining room floor. The menu is tapas-style, so expect small, yet filling dishes. Everything we ordered was super flavorful and was served to us as it was ready. The pace of the meal was perfect, and we thoroughly enjoyed the creativity of the kitchen. The one note we had was that the fish dip was extra fishy tasting - even as someone who loves fish, it was overpowering, but that is just my take. Love the central downtown location!
google avatar

Yelp
Food, Drinks and Service are always excellent. I've never had a bad experience. The open kitchen is always a fun experience as well.

Yelp
Just love love this place! Another round of fantastic food and service. Tonight's tastings included the Tenderloin Carpaccio with the fabulous Thomasville Tomme Mousse, the Goat cheese Gnudi (paid for 1 extra), Octoupus and Focaccia, Banana Caramal Almond Opera Torte and Carolina Gold Rice Pudding

Yelp
I agree with a reviewer below that this would be a Michelin Star restaurant! As someone who has eaten at two Michelin restaurants and many Michelin recommend restaurants, I can safely say this restaurant should be on their radar! I came for restaurant week last month for the first time and came back again last night for a date night with my husband! We tried a charcuterie, board, caviar pasta, sashimi, lions mane mushrooms, and steak! OMG all so GOOD! The pasta was our favorite dish and we will come back for it!!! It was hand made stuffed noodles with a whipped cream on top served over a home made cheese sauce blend and had caviar drizzled on top of each noodle! The steak is also so tasty and melted in our mouths! The service is also splendid and you feel so well taken care of here!

Yelp
Conveniently located next to our hotel, this restaurant caught our eye with its sleek decor, wood accents and green color palette. For brunch, I ordered the shaved beef brisket benedict with potatoes. The beef brisket itself was not seasoned, however, it worked well with the other ingredients when eaten together. Everything was properly cooked but the flavors were acidic. From the seasoning of the potatoes to the hollandaise sauce, it was an intriguing blend of flavors that, while not bad, was just interesting. Their dinner menu seemed to have some interesting options. Our experience at this restaurant was decent, but it wasn't a place I'd write home about.

Yelp
More of a tapas restaurant and the services excellent. Would come back again if I am in greenville.

Yelp
Not the same experience we had about a year ago. Noticeable difference in food - too many competing flavors in one dish, plus much smaller portions. Last time we were there, flavors were unique but well balanced and the server would ask how many were sharing do that the plates we ordered were equally shared (in our case, 5 people) . This time, small portions were brought out - an example is a $29 tortellini dish with caviar garnish that was served with THREE tortellini! Most other plates were barely shareable for 2 people. Also, unlike last year, we had to ask for fresh plates and for serving utensils to share the plates we ordered. What happened? Where did the chef and management go? I should add, on a positive note, it was refreshing to have the server ask if we wanted the wine decanted and that they provided a decanter, decanted it, along with service with wine glasses.

Yelp
Nice place with good drink selection and friendly staff. BUT honestly some of the worst food I ever had... we ordered several things and actually took one bite and had to leave the rest of each item... either way too salty, or no flavor on other things or fish that didn't taste fresh... We had to leave and go eat somewhere else..
google avatar

Yelp
The service was good. We sat outside to grab a drink at the bar. It was loud but fun.

Yelp
First time here at Camp. Til was our server, and he was extremely knowledgeable helped us navigate the various parts of the menu. We started off with the Vul o vent. It was fantastic. Next was the octopus with hominy, and crisp, kale the taste was phenomenal. next we did the culotte, which was a brisket that was to be served with potato sliced thin in stacked blocks. Last we had the dark chocolate dessert which had ice cream and caramelized sesame seed brittle. If you have not been to Camp, RUN, do not walk....

Yelp
I made reservations at least two weeks in advance.,.and we sat at a table...but unfortunately it was the transition area between kitchen, dining area and restroom... But this was not "noticed" until after sitting a bit . Anyways...in the dining area there is quite a bit of noise. This does make it difficult to talk with your dining companions . So afterwards I was a bit disappointed...as I had sat at the food bar previously and this noise was not as bad . It is bustling and people are dressed from very casual -- t shirts l to " fancy " summer attire. We had a drink while we waited for the skirt steak skewers with potatoes .. very good.. not as good as I previously remember but good.. The next thing we had was the shrimp Gambas...this was amazing.... perfectly steamed shrimp...on a sourdough toast soaked in this amazing flavorful -- spicy but not hot-- sauce with some veggies. ( It could have used a few more veggies)...I could have licked the bowl . Finally we had the tart dessert...this was also fantastic... A "fancy like" peaches and cream., although the peaches were roasted and the combination of all three in one bite was amazing! Service was great. Our waiter .. Chris was exceptional.. good suggestions, kind and effective Unfortunately I felt like it took a long time to get our drinks even though for a Friday it was not a busy as it could have been especially at the bar. The "surprise" part of our bill was the bourbon cost .. $24 for angels envy- rye on a rock. As we go to other local restaurants and purchase this but not at this price...and to be honest we didn't look at menu pricing...---.( I think I was expecting high teens) [Anyways it appears that the whole block of restaurants ( Camp, Larkin's,and Juniper) really crank up those prices. I know the rent is high but wow]!! Sorry for the digression. So for that cost...I wish it was more of a special feeling, unfortunately the noise and casual appearance of some other diners... didn't jive. Soooo....we will go back but totally sit at the bar the next time. Staff and food are great 4.5 star, noise and our bourbon cost /ambiance is more a 2 star .

Yelp
This is our first time in Greenville, SC and we were advised to make dinner reservations vs just showing up to restaurants for dinner. I booked Camp because it is close to where we were staying and looked good. The ambiance was very cool. The wait staff is the type to "read the menu like a bedtime story." Basically the go over every detail without being asked. Normally this is ok, but it went on and on. The portions are so tiny. This is beef carpaccio, which was ok on its own. I asked for bread that never arrived. My partner ordered pork belly. It was over cooked and tough, and the sauce was so spicy it was hard to eat. Overall, I think it's a good concept, but the food, for the price didn't have the quality or amount expected.

Yelp
The food at Camp was beautiful, carefully prepared, and well conceived. Most of it was also good and not great. I sat at the chef's counter and enjoyed seeing what went into each dish and how the chefs worked together. I began by asking for a mocktail and was given a choice of spicy, sweet, floral, or fruity. I went with floral and it was just perfect. A little complex and complemented the food. Next up, I had the crispy lionsmane. It was my favorite dish of the night! The dark soy provided a sweet and umami savoryness. A couple of little touches, the peanuts and the orange zest, kept the flavor from being overwhelming so I could polish off my half portion. I don't think I've had tastier mushrooms anywhere. Next up was the hamachi sashimi. It was ok but fishy in a way that I've not experienced with hamachi in the past. I joked to the manager who was expediting next to me that it tasted like an upscale tuna sandwich. Based on his laughter, that's not what they were going for. I finished it because I was sitting by the chefs and didn't want to upset them. Unfortunately, my next dish I couldn't make myself eat. It was a preparation of their pork and shrimp dumplings but fried as a special. Perhaps because of the fried wrapper or because of the sauce, the shrimp completely overwhelmed the pork in a way that didn't work. I ended with an order of the skirt pinchos. Holy aioli, the sauce was delicious and the steak perfectly cooked. All it all, it was a pleasant experience but maybe too expensive for hit or miss dishes.

Yelp
Drinks were ok, food looked ok, but not delicious, just ok, definitely not worth the cost. Wish I listened to friends and saved the $150

Yelp
I've been here for brunch, drinks, and dinner on different occasions and have been impressed each time! The service is always awesome, and it's very inviting inside. It's a great addition to downtown!

Yelp
We have dined at quite a few restaurants while staying in downtown Greenville, and this was by far our favorite experience! The service was impeccable (thank you James!), the pacing of the dishes was perfect, and the atmosphere is modern, open and airy. This is a tapas-style restaurant (shared smaller portions), so 4 plates plus dessert was just right for the two of us. The food: amazing! The flavors of each dish were complex and varied. This is the type of food that makes you want to close your eyes to savor every bite. Presentation: On point! Literally, wow! It's been a long time since we've enjoyed such culinary expertise. They have a nice selection of wines, cocktails and beers as well. Our only very minor complaint was that the lighting was a bit too bright for us (we were seated at a high table right next to a light) ... however we will definitely be back the next time we're in Greenville (most likely more than once!). Note: I forgot to take a photo of the Tuna Tostada, but the tuna was the best we've had in years - literally melts in your mouth (and we go out for sushi a lot!).
google avatar

Yelp
Really nice flavors. Probably could have skipped the beef skewers. All in all very nice dinner I'd go back next time I'm in Greenville
google avatar

Yelp
I can not say enough wonderful things about our first experience at this restaurant. Our waitress, Tiffany was phenomenal! She guided us through the menu and helped with our choices! The food was FANTASTIC. While this isn't a Tapas restaurant, the portions are smaller and a few items are prepared "family style" so they're easier to share. Their menu changes seasonally and I can't wait to see what they roll out for fall. The restaurant design was beautiful, clean, and fancy. They have a rooftop patio and a walk up bar as a part of their restaurant! We will be back ASAP!
google avatar

Brittany N.

Yelp
Showed up for dinner with no reservation and the only spot they had was at the chef's counter. It was such a treat to sit and watch all the different dishes being made. Our server, Tiffany, was so kind to explain what everything was and tell us a bit about the restaurant and the kitchen. We each ordered a delicious craft cocktail, then started with the pork and shrimp dumplings. They were absolutely phenomenal. Honestly probably the best dumplings we've ever had! Hubs had the fettuccini with sausage and really enjoyed it. I had the steak pinchos, which was delicious as well. Definitely a great spot!
google avatar

Erica O.

Yelp
I knew when we visited Greenville I wanted to celebrate a special occasion at a nice place. I did my research and made reservations. The restaurant is beautiful, modern and airy inside and wasn't crowded. We were greeted nicely and shown right away to our table. Our waitress was over quickly and took our drink order and explained different things on the menu. The bar made me a beautiful mocktail based on flavors I like, fruit and citrus a little sweet. We started with a Farmers Board to share. Cured meats, cheese, almonds and bread. Skirt Steak Ponchos with crispy potatoes, pork and Shrimp Dumplings, Hand Rolled Tagliatelle with pea puree, Grilled Shrimp and Calamari, Mushrooms in Cream Sauce with puff pastry and an amazing Warm Chocolate Souffle Cake with homemade ice cream. We all had our favorites and some we wouldn't choose again, simply for personal taste. We would definitely go again and definitely choose a selection so we could all share.

Yelp
My wife and I came here for brunch during the Greenville fall festival. It's a very nice restaurant with many noticeable details in the silverware, glassware and the overall unique and modern style and design of the dining and bar area. The kitchen staff greeted us as we walk in. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. I had the brisket with poached egg and it was fantastic. The coffee was really and I ended up having two cups. Being a coffee lover I really liked the glass coffee mug because it looks cool when you add the creamer and mixes with the color of the coffee.

Yelp
Nestled in Greenville, NC, Camp is a restaurant that took us by surprise with its exceptional blend of contemporary ambiance and delectable tapas. Our quest for a modern space with a tapas twist led us to this hidden gem, thanks to some friendly locals we met during a riverside stroll. Upon stepping into Camp, we found ourselves immediately enchanted by the harmonious fusion of rustic elements and sleek, modern touches that created an inviting and cozy atmosphere. The attention to detail in the decor was evident, elevating our dining experience from the get-go. The highlight of our visit undoubtedly lay in the culinary offerings that graced our table. The tapas selection at Camp was nothing short of extraordinary, and we found ourselves indulging in a gastronomic adventure that left us craving more. Among our favorites were the Crispy Pork Bites, perfectly seasoned and flawlessly executed, delivering a satisfying crunch with each bite. The Skirt Pinchos were a tantalizing treat, the tender meat complemented by a harmonious medley of flavors. The Queso Enchiladas were a delightful twist on a classic, oozing with cheesy goodness and providing a comforting and flavorful experience. Accompanying our meal, the pickled vegetables added a refreshing and tangy element that perfectly balanced the richness of the other dishes.
google avatar

Victoria D.

Yelp
Camp is a fun spot! More eclectic unique small plates so not the most filling option The cocktails are 10/10 and service is friendly! They're usually busy so make a res or get there early Sitting at the outside bar on camper down plaza is a perfect spot!

Christine A.

Yelp
My fiancé and I went here for date night last week. The ambiance is very cool, we liked the bar area and sat there. The bartender was awesome and attentive, cocktails were very good. We ordered the sashimi, shrimp and pork dumplings and duck breast. The sashimi had so much mayo on it that it really took away from the dish and was overpowering. Dumplings were good, not great. The duck was cooked perfectly but again, not blown away by any of the flavors in the dishes. We were expecting more based off the reviews. I would definitely come back for a cocktail and maybe try a few more items but not our first choice in town for tapas.
google avatar

Bridgette Y.

Yelp
Really great food, fun atmosphere and location. Our waiter was very helpful, but maybe a bit over chatty. Next time we may try to get a table at the chef's counter. That looked like a lot of fun!

Suzanne P.

Yelp
So this was a first time to visit Camp. We sat outside because the weather was amazing and wanted to take in the vibe of downtown. The server was very friendly but since they were very busy after artisphere, it was a tad slow in getting our beverages and food. The food is pretty amazing. Lots of interesting choices. I went for the crab salad and it was refreshing. We also had the spinach dip and it was more like a mousse. The homemade chips were good but the mousse, eh?? We also ordered the fried goat cheese with pine nuts and it was a fav! Can't wait to go back and be a little more adventurous...maybe the octopus and black noodles!
google avatar

Danielle S.

Yelp
I took my husband here as a little date night. The food was DELISH!! The service was awful. Mainly because the atmosphere felt like it was all about being popular (or perceived as wealthy) and if you were not those things you seemingly did not get service. It actually was really sad and disappointing. It's crazy how servers actually make or break an environment. My recommendation if you do not personally know a server, a chef, or the owner. Order the food to go. Don't stay. I can watch mean girls and feel bad about myself, at home eating good food.
google avatar

Nadine W.

Yelp
Good service, overworked food, weak cocktails. For some reason every dish had a sweet component- which I found offsetting. They are working with good ingredients- just let them shine- don't keep heaping sauces upon sauces on them.

Erik A.

Yelp
When I reserved this for Mother's Day they had a brunch menu. When we arrived there they had discontinued brunch. It was a horrible mother's day due to this. I would never recommend this establishment.

Felix G.

Yelp
Well, to be honest, I do not understand the vibe about this place. So Tapas in Spain are considered "fast" food in the afternoon at a bar before you go out to eat. They should be "fast" and they are simple but with the right ingredients they are delicious. So this place does not fulfill one requirement for tapas. Neither fast nore good. I have been in plenty of good Tapas places in Spain and this is far from it. This is another "modern" place with music and open kitchen. Overall nothing to recommend in the Greenville area as we have plenty of authentic and good restaurants.
google avatar

Emily L.

Yelp
Camp always hits the spot and is a delicious meal. My favorite way to enjoy it is by ordering a few different small plates to sample multiple dishes. I have yet to have something that I am disappointed by. From brunch, to dinner, to the bar it is all phenomenal! For the most part the service is good, I have had some awkward run ins, but overall I haven't had any issues that would stop me from returning. The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance and the vibe is perfect for a special dinner or date night!
google avatar

Yelp
Still just not great, gave another shot. Seems like someone has begged customers to leave a good review to up their rating. If you read the reviews that aren't 5 stars they have the same problem. Work on the flavors of your dishes! Or lower the price for the subpar experience. A pretty atmosphere doesn't make up for it.

Yelp
This restaurant is beautiful with indoor and outdoor seating. It has a relaxed upscale vibe. Our waiter, Chris, was outstanding! He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly. My friend and I ordered several plates to share and he paced the dishes perfectly. We tried the CAMP Infused Margarita, She is the Moment, Honeysuckle? I Barely Know Her!, and Picturing You Right Now cocktails and they were all fantastic! We started with the Crispy Pork Bites and they were unbelievably good. The pork belly was crisp and tender and a perfect balance between sweet and spicy. The Skirt Pinchos were incredible as well! The steak was tender and seasoned beautifully. The potatoes were perfectly crispy and the garlic aioli paired nicely. We also had the Queso del Caribe Enchiladas Rojas, they were super simple but full of flavor. We ordered the pickled vegetables on the side and they went well with every dish, I highly recommend ordering! We had the Lamb T-Bone Tika for our large plate and this was our least favorite dish. It wasn't bad, the lamb was tender and the curry had a decent flavor, but it kind of fell flat. I think the dish would benefit by adding more curry and some acid. We finished with the Warm Chocolate Soufflé Cake and it was the perfect way to end the meal. The cake was moist and chocolatey, but not too rich. The cookies and cream ice cream and cookie crumbs were delicious. The Chantilly cream and chocolate mousse paired beautifully with the cake. We really enjoyed our experience here and I will definitely be back!

Christopher D.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere. I recommend getting a reservation at the bar where chef is cooking. They'll talk you through what they're working on and it's a great experience. Food is great but the drinks are outstanding. I recommend going with a group and sampling a few different dishes.

Yelp
This place has quickly become a staple of the upscale foodie scene in Greenville. Have never had a bad meal and the service is always excellent! A must try!

Yelp
Every year I do a food crawl of places I've never been before. This year it is Greenville. Just finished dinner here. The BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE AWARD for all time. Attentive and yet not annoying. All the staff said exactly the right thing. The food was amazing!!! The wine--delicious. Perfect for a birthday dinner.

Yelp
Camp used to be great, but each time we've been there in the last few months, it had not. Arrived at 2pm today for lunch before a performance at the Peace Center that began at 3pm. We sat at the bar and at 2:04pm we were told that the kitchen closed at 2pm. Really? We left and went next door to the new Sobys.

Yelp
We love interesting food...so there is no better way to experience Camp than having several small plates to try. We love the "tapas" format of CAMP and had some wonderful dishes recommended by our server Addie! Along with very reasonably priced wine, we had four plates that satisfied our palettes for our anniversary dinner. I saw some people complained about portion size...but come on people...this is tapas style!!! We had a wonderful time, great food and service...and we think it's one of Greenville's BEST restaurants. We'll be back!!!
google avatar

Monica D.

Yelp
Delicious! Great experience. Great service. Great food. We got the steak small plate which was DELICIOUS. Followed by two large plates: flounder and the lamb. We loved it all, but the steak was our favorite! The campfire crème brûlée dessert was top tier. Also love that the menu changes often!

Yelp
I finally got to check out Camp for restaurant week! The restaurant ambience is modern and busy. I definitely recommend making a reservation to go because they were very crowded. We were seated promptly with our reservation time. Once seated we were given water and our server was over to greet us soon after. She was helpful with recommendations, and both the server and the manager helped with one of our party's limited diet options. After we ordered there were different people constantly bringing out the different dishes we ordered. The food dishes did come out really fast this way but I never feel comfortable being the only one eating at a table. It did also make it hard to get anything else we needed after the food was delivered. For example, my soup came without a spoon, and then after trying it, it really needed some pepper for my taste. I hate asking someone for multiple thing but everyone was so quick to put things down and walk away. The beer cheese soup was pretty bland in comparison to the other small plates, but it doesn't look like it is on the normal menu. The mushroom dish was very good! I probably won't become a result diner here but it is a good place to go to try new dishes.

Yelp
Amazing flavors, started with pork and shrimp dumplings and was in love. Mostly shared plates of unique tastes but can get your own food if preferred. Chef Drew is an artist.

Yelp
CAMP Modern American Eatery in Greenville is a great place to go for quality food and drinks. I have been impressed with their level of customer service here and everything that they have available here.

Yelp
Service was amazing, food was full of flavor, and the atmosphere is always my favorite part! The manager took the time to speak with us about wines, our waitress was amazing and so attentive, and the food and drinks were AMAZING. Always a great time for a date night or a girls night!

Yelp
I was a solo guest that doesn't always get the most welcoming experience in downtown Greenville but I really enjoyed myself here. I was sat in front of the chef bar area and he was so cool. He Suggested things for me to try and my waiter brought me the best brownie & ice cream I've ever had. Highly recommended. Cool & Vibrant place! Food was a collection of so many flavors!

Yelp
If someone gives this restaurant anything less than a five then they obviously don't know awesome dining. The food here only has one issue, and that is the fact that I want everything on it. The flavors and perfection of the presentation are second to none. My wife is on a plant based diet and they always accommodate her needs with some of the best food she has ever had. We also love to sit at the bar that surrounds the kitchen. We chefs are all wonderful and provide such wonderful input to what they have available. They are very personable and fun to talk with. Everyone is fantastic. I am not sure how much more I can rave about this place but if you can think of other superlatives just apply them to Camp!!! - Mike
