"Charlotte's Camp North End is a 76-acre multi-use space with public art, food stalls, shops, offices and more in a former car factory and military depot. It's a big complex, but there's always somewhere to hang out for a bit (quite literally–you can stretch out in a hammock if that cafe table and chairs doesn't suit your needs). It's all about walking around, soaking up the cool, creative vibe—and eating." - Nancy DePalma

"Finish your day with a look at how Charlotte has been revitalizing its old industrial spaces. Camp North End—the site of a 1924 Ford factory and Cold War–era missile plant—is a steampunk dream."

Fun, developing area in the north side of Charlotte. Restaurants, shops and a really cool vibe. Especially liked the Tipsy Pickle. It’s far from being totally developed, so it’s got a lot of potential for additional businesses. It it we’re more developed I’d definitely give it a 5, hoping it will continue to grow in a hip and positive way.

Google
Camp North End (CNE) is an industrial area transformed I to a retail and dining social space. They have a wide variety of business options and spaces to be active and do everything from attend a thrift market to ice skating in the winter. As the plants have grown in this place is so much nicer with the cooling effect and how the plants improve the vibe. Parking is generally easy with the deck, free for three hours!

Such a wonderfully colorful and artistic area to hang out at... amazing small business owners! An abundance of talent... I still remember when they were first trying to get started... thanks to the determination of many artists... it is now thriving!

Great space to hangout! Good food options, pickleball was great and a park filled with giant building blocks! It’s a whole fun package!

Recommended by the locals - Camp North End is an awesome stop for tourist. They have a lot to see here with the art to some local shops and restaurants. There was a thrift event that happened on the day I visited that was particularly for women. There was also a smoothie van that had $5 smoothies for happy hour every day. I’d imagine this place would be fun to visit on a summer evening for an outdoor market. The disappointing thing was there were many empty offices and shops. It seemed like this place was just starting to get built out or the foot traffic isn’t enough to keep businesses running. I wish I was able to see Camp North End at its peak of business.

This place was so cool. We went at the end of a Sunday night and we still had a great time. There is literally something for everyone and the food was amazing. It’s much bigger than I thought as well! I will be sure to come back during the day and take a look at the shops. I bet it’s really packed and full of life on a Saturday.

Extremely desolate and ghostly. First time visiting this place since I moved to Charlotte. Visited on a Monday at 3PM, walked around, everything was a ghost-town, none of the eateries in the courtyard were open.. Very odd.. Left after 4 minutes. Not sure why people congregate here on weekends. There are zero attractions or things to do.

Google
This place is HUGE. It’s very hipster chic if you will. Lots of art, and lots of fun recycled bits. It’s a lot of fun to just walk around and see what they stuffed into every nook and cranny. I personally loved the vibrant colors and the fun foods you can get! That being said this place is in the pricy side. Things are about as expensive as if you were in an airport. They are still under construction so it will be fun to come in a few months time to see the new additions. Parking is a bit hectic but there is lots of places to park around the campus. I wish I had come during Christmas as they really filled the place up then!

Yelp
I love the vibes at Camp North End and love that you can do so many fun events here like movies under the stars, farmers markets, and listening to live music. It's very kid friendly and they have many areas specifically for kids. There's plenty of little shops to roam around and buy from, like the plant shop and a paper goods shop. The only reason I docked a star is because the food vendors don't all stay on the same schedule so sometimes you show up at 6:30 PM and there's only 1 food option open. I'm sure as they expand, this will change, but it sucks getting there and not having anything to eat when you're at an event that they're hosting. Check out their Instagram for up-to-date events and more!

Yelp
Cool quirky spot & I'm here for it! Came on a Saturday afternoon around 6ish. I was surprised to see that it was not as busy as I thought it would be. They have a variety of different business from records, stores, shoes, and book store, with plenty of food and bar options. A lot of the food shops did close around 7/8 pm. I loved that you could get a drink and walk around the camp while sipping. They have a variety of games, children, entertainment, and seating options all around the camp. There was a section that had a whole bunch of seating with games and a live DJ playing lots of great tunes. Def. Love this spot and will be back for sure. Something to do on a sat or Sunday afternoon for sure.

Yelp
This place is super cool. Industrial feel architecture. Came out on a Tuesday night at 6:30pm to join the Mad Miles run club! The place is huge lots of shops and restaurants. I have to come back this place is so big!

Heather W.

Yelp
Perfect place to walk and explore. You can eat, drink, and shop! A great way to get exercise and just hang out with friends.

Natalie H.

Yelp
The atmosphere and drink selection was great. I was disappointed with the food options. I love the build your own charcuterie board shop but other than that I wasn't impressed by any food place. I wouldn't recommend coming for food but coming for drinks and the environment.

Yelp
Camp NORTHEND is a very interesting place.. a huge campground that were originally a old run down piece of land and with old building that could be knocked down to what it is today. I like it there. To be able to see what Charlotte can savage a piece of history but not knock it down like the rest of the city is priceless in itself. They have food stalls, a brewery, restaurant, bakery, charcuterie specialized shop, plant shop, paper shop, clothing shop to a huge area where people can come together to enjoy a movie or live bands. DJs spinning wonderful music on the weekend to certain festival happening all at camp NORTHEND. I mean can you ask for anything better. I don't think so.

Brittanie H.

Yelp
Camp North End is the perfect little gem. Great area for a little aimless romping with some great shops and restaurants. The area is set up perfectly for a stroll and is an excellent place for all sorts of community events. My favorites in the complex are Leah and Louise and Hex Coffee. The food at Leah and Louise is out of the world (see review). Make a reservation to secure your spot, but you won't be disappointed. Hex is a great place to work and sip, and the staff are all nice and accommodating (see review). A great place to hang out in the area.

Nicholas S.

Yelp
We love visiting Camp North End. They have a growing list of diverse small businesses from bars, restaurants, breweries, plant shops, clothing stores, coffee shops, and more. Our favorite part of CNE is the variety of events they host such as outdoor movies, live music, and festivals.

Nhi V.

Yelp
Had so much fun visiting the Christmas market at camp north end! It's such a fun and open space with lots of fun local makers and events. I always love coming to camp north end because it's so convenient and a really cool repurposed space. Tuesday night they have a run club with mad miles which runs around the campus 1mile or 2miles at whatever pace or proficiency, They also have so many cute food stalls, breweries, and local goodies. Catch the events like outdoor movie night as well sponsored by aurora theater. Great space to gather as a community with so many fun event options. Super worth a stop through, especially now through the holidays!

Hyun P.

Yelp
This place was huge with a lot of seating areas, small shops and food places. cool industrial vibe with mural arts. We did not eat here but it was nice just walking around. We went on a Friday, it was not busy at all but I'm sure it's more crowded on the weekends.

Tiffany W.

Yelp
I've been to Charlotte countless times, but this is my first time visiting Camp North End. The mix of industrial and modern design is really artfully done. Loved seeing all the local murals and installations mixed in with shops. We stopped at Lokal to grab some locally made candles, stickers, hoodies, jewelry, and t-shirts. Good Postage has a beautiful collection of art supplies and prints. Macfly has some super cool screen printed tees, bags, and pins. Onto the food! We got coffee and pastries at Wentworth & Finn, al pastor and carne tacos from La Caseta, and the seasonal cold ramen from Saru. Everything was a 10/10. TL;DR- Go! You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
The only complaint I have about Camp North End is there isn't a sister property called Camp South End, a little closer to where I live near Southpark! Honestly, I think of this location as the home base for Leah and Louise, my favorite restaurant in the city. But there is actually so much more to offer, and the number of new businesses continue to multiply. I would describe it as a open air, Urban Marketplace, with an eclectic mix of restaurants and businesses that appeal to a wide variety of people. But it also has a lot of options for families with young kids, including an outdoor play area with hammocks surrounding the perimeter, so parents can get their Sunday relax on while letting the kiddos run around. I do feel like business hours on weekends can be a bit of a hit or miss, as I noticed several of the businesses were closed mid afternoon on a Sunday, despite there being pretty decent foot traffic throughout the campus. This establishment will only get better as more businesses and restaurants open, but if it stays as is, it is still one of the best places to hang out in Charlotte.

Yelp
What a place! Camp North End is a must visit for residents and visitors. We enjoyed an evening of walking around to get our steps in. LOL! Many vendors were either busy prepping for the concert that evening or VegFest which would be opening the next day, Saturday 9/30. Others were (1) exercising; (2) walking their dogs; (3) studying or working; (4) playing with their children in the Lego park; or (5) relaxing in the many seating and hammock areas. Be sure to check their website calendar of events so you don't miss out.

Mimila S.

Yelp
It has come such a long way from the time my family and I visited for a solar eclipse event. It was fun to go then, and now it is just wow. You have so much to do here and on-site businesses, especially food is a huge plus. You can go skating now as well and even catch a movie outside. Camp North End is a place you'll family would love, especially being so versatile.

Lowanda J.

Yelp
Camp North End has so much to offer. It's a huge, revitalized outdoor space that has something for everyone, young or old. There's food, novelty items, a plant store, and just recently a gym opened. And that's just to name a few They host events, live music, pop-ups, and even have a Farmers Market on Wednesday evenings. It's dog friendly as long as you keep them on a leash. Give them a follow so you can keep up with the latest events.

Yelp
IN LOVE WITH THIS PLACE! Such a beautiful spot. I could spend every weekend here. Their food is great and they have a mix of sit down restaurants (usually a bit small and busy so beware) and to-go food stalls. They have plentiful outdoor seating which is great to listen to the array of live music performances and DJs they often have. The atmosphere is wonderful especially when it starts to get dark and they turn on their string lights everywhere. It is a very friendly and positive vibe. Have plenty of cute shops in the campus but make sure to check their hours because some of them are a bit restricted. Highly recommend coming here!!!

Sasha W.

Yelp
They have amazing food and customer service over there through all of the restaurants that they have, and the scenery could not be any more beautiful than I imagined. As a videographer and photographer, I take my clients to this location because it is just so beautiful and so exciting, with a thrill of the excitement of what it looks like on the other side.

Jess M.

Yelp
Lots of potential. So there's a ton of space to explore here, dozens of acres. There's places stemming from gelato, bakery, a plant store, to t shirt stores, a Co. working space, wine bars, and even small food stands- you can expect lots of DJ's in the varying parts of this vast repurposed space that was once warehouses and train tracks. The only thing is it's hot in the summer and so you can imagine it's not pleasant to be walking around trying to find food or drink. I'd like to come back in the winter and explore- it was also disappointing that sooooo many stalls just were empty or closed for business on a Friday night at 6pm... anyway- there's also an outdoor space for kids to play with large legos and hammocks and some areas have misters!

Kasie S.

Yelp
What a cool and artsy concept, this place! It's such a unique stop that I think not too many people know about! From the recycled decor to the variety of food trucks, etc., it's really a hidden gem!!! My mom and I stumbled upon this place one day while doing the Van Gogh art exhibit show...and I really want to go back soon. It's a very vintage-looking space with lots of room for activities and socializing. So many food trucks and shops around, and the vibe is just amazing! I really love this place and cannot wait to go back. Such an amazing concept and one that I think should be more popular!

Endira M.

Yelp
I love that Camp North End has a variety of food stalls. The burger stall has some of the best french fries I've ever ate in my life and the taco space always has really fresh food. I know that there's selections for people who are vegan or gluten-free also but I always enjoy having a great meal , and it is an added bonus that they have added heaters outside for the colder seasons. It's always clean, and the restrooms and all of the servers are always really nice and accommodating.

Jacqueline T.

Yelp
I love Camp North End! What's not to love? It's outside and spread out. There's tons of cool outdoor art. There are always popups and other events going on. There are lots of good restaurants too. I love the concept of the food stalls. It's like an outdoor food hall. We've tried them all and they're all worth checking out. We also love Leah & Louise and Wentworth & Fenn. There is tons of outdoor seating in different areas. The food stalls have their own seating. There's a bunch of tables across from Leah & Louise. There are fire pits and more seating by Hex Coffee. There is parking at each entrance too. It's a fun place to walk around and explore. If you're looking to take pictures or just explore, come in the morning. It's really quiet and there aren't many people around. This is one of my favorite places in Charlotte! Definitely check it out.

Briana C.

Yelp
HELLO perfect social distance hang out spot!! I had been hearing great things about Camp North End and never made it until I was invited my couple friends for a social distance double date. They were having an event when we went and there were lots of people but mostly all were in compliance with the mask signs posted throughout the grounds. We spent sometime walking & looking around at the different venues and graffiti art. There was also a DJ in one area since this was the reveal of the CHARLOTTE Mural. I also found a good number of black owned businesses which is always a plus! **Couple places to check out in Camp North End that I know of:** The Charlotte mural (I believe this changes so not sure how long it will be there) Leah & Louise ( I haven't been but I've heard amazingly great things about it) Plant Joy (Haven't been bc it's fairly new but it looks amazing!!) Black Moth Bar ( This is the little Airstream in the Boileryard area... the drinks are amazing!!) The Boileryard area is where I've found to be the area where live music often occurs and often where I find black artistry. Roam around the grounds and come back often as they are always adding new venues!!

Holly W.

Yelp
Food, paper store, event space, office space, restaurants, brewery, coffee shop, graffiti, outdoor eating space, a salon, etc... If you can find something here, I am not sure we can be friends! We took the Friday free tour of the camp. It was a half hour. It starts at the base of the tower and ends at the food vendors. Our tour guide was passionate about loving her job and helping transform the Camp into what it is intended to be! We were able to learn about the crew that makes the camp what it is along with taking in the old model T factory. As much as I am a graffiti fan, seeing inside the building was by far my favorite part of the tour. The building still has the wooden pieces on the floor placed for safety while they were making ammo during the war. The smell of an old building still permeates. It's sad to think that such changes will be made to a building with such history but it's better to be reused than demolished. We learnt about how the graffiti is the artist to change but will never be taken down by the camp. We heard about future plans as this is a 20 year project! Overall, the camp is a cool place tok grab dinner but even better to learn about how it has come to be and what it used to be.

Yelp
The food from the Mexican place right near the pictures I took was amazing. We all got Papusas and they come with tomato sauce and some slaw. They were pretty quick with getting the food ready and into our mouths! The setting is really artistic and a lot of cool murals and amazing plants everywhere. I really like the concept but even though it is very spacious we did not really find much to do besides food wise. Other than that it was a cool place to visit while in this city!

Krissy W.

Yelp
Incredible revival of a beautiful, huge space. There is something for everyone here. Regardless of the season, there is something curated for adults or children. Tons of great food vendors as well as little shopping markets and breweries. There are often amazing free events on the weekend and they use the stage for concerts as well. I love hanging out with groups around the fire pits or on the swings while we enjoy drinks. Love it here!!! La caseta is one of our favorite food spots in CLT, so don't leave camp north end without some.

Krystle M.

Yelp
Camp Northend to a native Charlottean has seen a definite glow up. I remember as a kid this being just a bunch of abandon warehouses and buildings. Today was my first visit and visually it's phenomenal. There is still a lot of work to be done but it's going in the right direction. We only stayed on the side that houses the 3 food stalls (La Caseta, Saru, and Bleu Barn Bistro). There wasn't may people around so it made social distancing easy. One employee told me that it's a different story on the weekends. We drove around from the Graham St. side to the Statesville Rd. side and there is a lot of businesses to explore and check out. I'm very impressed by the progress at Camp Northend and happy to see the area transforming into something the city can be proud of. Camp Northend 1824 Statesville Ave Charlotte, NC 28206 Thursday August 13, 2020

Yelp
Went here for these donuts everyone had been talking about. They have a variety of donuts. Some interesting flavors we tried some of the basic ones. We tried the Apple fritter and the vanilla glazed donut. The price was very reasonable they were $3-$4. They take cards and cash. The location was nice there was plenty of outdoor seating and it was a nice day.

Roberto Y.

Yelp
Not great at all! I had the arepas filled with pork and the Argentinian Empanadas. Flavors were not just there. The meat in the empanada was dry and overcooked. The pork in the arepas lack seasoning. There are other places we're you can get better empanadas and arepas. I will not eat here again.

Megan F.

Yelp
Phenomenal food and beer selections in a funky artsy atmosphere! Loved my visit here!! The Keswick casual restaurants are La Caseta, Saru and Bleu Barn. The food is wonderful at all three. The beer at Free Range is good, they're doing to go currently because of covid19. The graffiti art is fantastic!! And they have more stores I haven't visited yet--Pop Bar, Hex coffee, Leah & Louise. They look amazing. The location was a former factory and they made special vehicles for the Korean war. The majority of the places are outside or have takeout. They have cool benches and swings too. (I think it was similar to Krug street market in Atlanta.) loved my experiences and hope to go again! Parking is in a lot off Graham.

Alicia R.

Yelp
Lots of food options and seating. On Thursdays in the summer they do free outdoor movies (bring your own chair). There's some shops to check at as well. Can't wait to see what else they add in the open spaces

Tony S.

Yelp
Great Developing Live Work Play area in Charlotte! Not too many food places to choose from, but those that are open are always a good dining experience. Can't wait to see more outdoor art festivals out here!

Uneka H.

Yelp
This place was great!!!! So I am fairly new to the area and wanted to try something different so I seen that a meetup group was doing an event here and decided to meet with some new people to check it out. Where do I start !??? This place was definitely not what I was expecting! Since we are in a pandemic and social distancing is a must - the venue was pretty much outside. People were very respectful of space, they had wine bars/beer spots that you could walk up to and order a drink- it was great! They had live music playing-people walking around just having a good time. This place is mainly (I'm guessing) an old camp site that got converted into a "social district" with plenty of restaurants/ bars/ food trucks that you could walk up to and order food and drinks. They take cards at most places (actually cards was probably the preferred method of payment). And just when I thought I walked the entire venue - someone let me know that there was other restaurants/music on the other side! There was more than enough parking - you could either get to the place on the street or in the back on somewhat of a gravel road. Either way- this place was unexpected and pretty dope!!!! I highly recommend!

Claire O.

Yelp
I went on a Monday, late afternoon. Most things were closed. There were only a few shops / food places open. Yelp stated that places were open that weren't. So, it was a disappointment. That said we did find a place to eat - great staff, friendly, fast, very good!! It was Latin food. I don't recall the name. Chicken dish in bread pocket.

Tonya P.

Yelp
Camp Northend is perfect for social distancing, you can get food, coffee, cocktails and find a seat somewhere secluded and enjoy some fresh air. Every visit I always see photographers because it is a great backdrop for urban photos. There are a few shops to peruse, but limited hours and weekdays it is frankly a ghost town, which totally works when you want to be alone with your thoughts. It also has newly paved streets for wheels and exercising. There is a 25 year plan, I can't wait to see what unfolds. The food stalls are limited, but I would eat at every one of them, it is an eclectic small group, so somehow it works. Food stall space is growing too! I would follow them on social media because they are always planning something fun, before the pandemic they were doing dinners, definitely looking forward to dinners in vacant warehouses again. Recently they had an interactive art show and holiday craft stalls. DEC 2020- There are holiday photo ops and don't bother looking for the goats, they have been moved for the Winter. And there is a fire pit and heat lamps across the street from Leah and Louise.

Matthew C.

Yelp
Camp north end is a venue for everyone that didn't know. It appears to be a bunch of abandoned warehouses that the city of Charlotte turned into a miscellaneous venue. Today I had the opportunity of visiting the Van Gogh interactive exhibit! Even though this wasn't what I was expecting when I bought my tickets I was pleased. It was a mixture of Van Gogh'a art with a modern spin. They enforced the 6 feet rule and had designated seating areas. The event took about 30 minutes and you could rewatch. I've been told the exhibit was extremely hot from other participants that visited previously, but luckily they had a lot of AC blowing. The venue itself wasn't anything special.

Kate S.

Yelp
We love Camp North End! Our favorite time to go is Friday nights during the warm months for "Friday Nights at Camp North End". The music is usually really good and the whole set up is extremely dog and family friendly. They typically have at least two food trucks, which gives you options. Also there's a beverage station if you want to buy on site. The prices are reasonable given that they have zero competition. We often bring our own drinks in a cooler so we save some money and skip the (sometimes long) line. They have really nice trailer bathrooms now during Friday Nights at Camp North End, which is a very nice option compared to typical portajohns. The only thing I think they need to change is they need more handicap parking spots. Considering they have probably enough space for 100 cars, the 4 handicap spots seems a bit slim. We came with my mom who was temporarily disabled due to a recent surgery and all the handicap spots were taken even early on in the evening.

Jody S.

Yelp
A solid four stars with the future of an easy five stars. Camp North End is a concept that creates a great outdoor experience with eclectic shops and restaurants however, the layout is a little wonky. I think with time the spread between areas will be filled with vendors and this will be an even more enjoyable experience. I loved the graffiti art, camper trailers that were converted into little shops, the tremendous outdoor seat (especially during Covid) and a short walk lead you to a handful of restaurants ranging from burgers to popsicles. My group and I sampled a number of plates from several food vendors and everything we ate was awesome. We finished the night outside the craft cocktail trailers just under the water tower with some amazing drinks. The only downside to CNE is the neighborhood is a little rough. It's coming around but we were approached by one guy begging and another guy decided to park himself near the food court seating area and start yelling and cursing about random things. I had my younger son with me so I was a little more sensitive to that than I would be normally.

Donna C.

Yelp
Love what is happening in North End. I really love the repurposing of the buildings, the way the grounds are laid out and the mixed usage. Plenty of restaurants, places to just hang out and small business. Wonderful renewal in an area that was run down.

Elexis D.

Yelp
Finally got a chance to check out this place. It's really cool. Easy to find parking and the weather was beautiful and warm so walking around the campus was nice. The layout is eclectic and funky. We went to Free Range and Noda Canteen for drinks. Plenty of outdoor seating and fresh air! I got a frozen mimosa from Free Range and also saw they had a nice variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic beers available for purchase in the can. We got the Red Sangria from Noda Canteen that came with a paper straw, which I thought was cool. Will return to explore more.

Yelp
Camp North End has so much. So much art, great food, books, drinks and best of all...so many incredible spots to take amazing pictures!!!! A few of my favorite places inside Camp North End are La Casita and Leah & Louise. There's legit something for everyone. Dope place to go with a lot of people!

Kristy A.

Yelp
Such a neat space. A friend invited me out because we hadn't been here and I loved it. Just a laid back atmosphere to hang out. Friends, families, food trucks. Great place to BYOB to kick back and people watch. Inside are games and more board games. Outside there's giant Jenga and Connect Four. So what is Camp North End? An industrial park with event space and a few small businesses. There are giant tire swings for the kids, food trucks for everyone, and a live band. An art gallery was celebrating its one year anniversary with a DJ. Also very pet friendly. Lots of dogs everywhere, large and small. You can come and people watch, try a new dish, sing along with the band, and make new friends. Come one, come all!

Chantel B.

Yelp
It's very underwhelming. It's pretty to look at. The ideal is there... but it's just kind of boring. Something is missing. I just can't put my finger on it.

Diwash B.

Yelp
This is a good hangout with friend and family. Make sure you wear some comfortable walking shoes, don't be me and head in some jeans and boots. Most of these is outdoors so be prepared to walk in the scorching sun, may be carry a bottle of water if you allergic to the 12PM sun. This place has lots to offer for the charlotte happening crowd, arts, flower shops like those nursery but you gotta be prepared to explore this place thoroughly. I didn't check this place out before i headed out and once i got there i realized i wasn't dressed for the situation or was prepared. I am already Tan by birth and do not want to be more tan so i would have taken some umbrella or suns-cream or may be went some easy clothing like shorts and sleeveless. Although i didn't enjoy my trip here as much, i did see the potential this place has to offer. You can well spend a day here with friend and families. Lunch play some games out here or explore the arts expo. I cant wait to go here next time like a Pro and then there would be no looking back.

Julie S.

Yelp
Love this space for the community. Open air, lots to see and enjoy. Chairs and swings to relax in, art and murals, flowers and views of the city to see. Food, drinks, shops, to enjoy. Highly recommend checking out all that Camp North End has to offer.

Lameka S.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. It's whimsical and very earthy. Perfect scenary for date night. I didn't know alot about the area is was recommended to me by a coworker. When I got there is was quite dark, so it was difficulty to navigate throught, but there was plenty of parking. Also, plenty of restaurants to choose from, indoor and outdoor. Several of the places you needed a reservation so make sure you call ahead. It was an awesome experience. I would love to go back and explore more!

Yelp
Restaurants, public art, shops, events and exhibits (Van Gogh, currently) make this complex (once used as an automobile factory and military depot during World War II) a nice place to spend a Saturday or Sunday if you've been everywhere else in Charlotte and looking for something new. I was pleasantly surprised

Yelp
I'm so impressed with what Camp North End has become! Wow from an old historical industrial site to a creative center filled with small businesses and fun! Camp North End has art installations, places to sit, flowers to enjoy, is family and dog friendly, and hosts awesome local biz worth your dollar. I love the food trucks, pop up beer shops, and coffee from Hex. I follow them on instagram for all the latest event happenings like art crawls and dropping in to wander around and enjoy the sunshine. If you're looking for a new place to hang out full of inspiration definitely check out Camp North End.

Yelp
Y'all. I have a new favorite hangout in Charlotte and it's not even open yet! I am so head over heels in love with Camp North End and the developers' dedication to preserving the history of such an amazing spot. Originally a factory for Model T cars, then an assembly location for Hercules missiles during the world wars, and most recently a Rite-Aide distribution center, the 75-acre property just oozes history. I had the privilege of attending a Creative Mornings Charlotte event (the speaker was Harvey Gantt, also all kinds of awesome) at Camp North End this morning and am telling you... Mark my words... This place is going to change the game in Charlotte. A gathering place that respects the local neighborhoods, community personality, and history. What a novel concept for a city that seems ready to tear down old spots for new, shiny condos or apartments at the drop of a hat! I can't wait to hang out here this summer in the beautiful, outdoor courtyard area with sweeping views of the uptown skyline when they start hosting gatherings with food trucks, pop up shops, etc. Drop a pin at this spot, folks! You're going to spending lots of quality time here.

Yelp
Camp North End was so dope!! Great atmosphere, I felt completely inspired by the art work and local shops!! Skateboarders skating, the aroma of good food, music in the air and a full moon!! Great place to take some cool pics and shop at the local shops. Camp North is located in an African American community and they recognize the history of the area and it felt good to see local black owned businesses and artistry!! I got to CNE kind of late (around 9pm), so some of the stores we closed. I immediately followed on IG and will visit them next time. Camp North End is pretty big, so we just explored around. Buildings are still in construction and when they do finish, this place is going to be the "Spot" in CLT! Outdoor walking!!
