Just over the river, this wood‑fired standout was named Pizzeria of the Year by Pizza Today and is frequently praised by Cincinnati media for its Margherita and soppressata‑hot‑honey pies. A metro must that feels deeply local.

Wood-Fired Flavor & Five-Star Hospitality Dining at CamporOsso in Ft. Mitchell was a true standout experience. Our group shared the 12” wood-fired CamporOsso Deluxe and All Meat pizzas, plus the Penne Pesto Pasta and classic Spaghetti & Meatballs—every dish was rich with flavor and clearly made from scratch with care. The crispy, fire-kissed crust on the pizza alone was worth the visit! Our server, Michelle, was fantastic—warm, attentive, and on top of every detail without ever feeling rushed. From the first greeting to the last refill, the service matched the quality of the food. Whether you’re local or just passing through Northern Kentucky, CamporOsso is an absolute gem. Five stars for artisan comfort food, great atmosphere, and top-tier service!

Google
Some of the best pizza I have ever eaten and I've had the privilege to eat at some excellent pizza shops. Their dough is incredible, toppings are delicious. I ordered all the meat, I suggest you ask for a side of their hot honey as it's not that spicy but really is fantastic. Their Caesar salad was really really good too. We went with a large group and they accomdated us so graciously. The pizzas came out so fast even though the restaurant was full. Great job guys!

Google
The wait was longer than expected because of the rain. But the food made it well worth it. We had the Cincinnati Pizza and the Bucanti all ' Amatriciana Pasta dish. We all also shared the Meatball dish as an appetizer. The pasta had just a little kick to it, and with the bacon, it just was perfect. Expexct the volume from the patrons to make it loud, but it is still worth it.

Google
Heard from a long time NKY resident that Camporosso had the best pizza in the area. So a large group of us went for my birthday. They don't take reservations, but we're happy that we called ahead to let them know we were coming. We waited about 30 minutes on a Saturday night. It was absolutely packed. Our server did a GREAT job. A few of us got the Caesar salad. Solid choice and good flavor from the dressing and shaved parm. You can also ask for anchovies. We all got pizzas. Some got the Wood Fired Pizza others the larger Americana Pizza which is baked in a traditional oven. All 14 of us said this Pizza was the one of the best, if not the best, that we've ever had. One of the guys in our group is an Italian from Connecticut and agreed that he didn't think one could find great Pizza here. Huge thumbs up. Since it was very busy, it was pretty noisy. They can do large groups but it was a little tight. We will definitely be back.

Google
Been hearing great things about this place so we stopped in for a late lunch after appts. So good! The crust on the pizza was light and airy. Past Primavera was so good. Caesar salad was also very, very good

Google
This place never fails. We were there last night and the owner said that he normally gets to make his rounds and chat with the customers but he got stuck in the back making pizzas, so he came up to our table and said that he'd like to buy each one of us dessert! It was so nice and very appreciated. The Hot Honey pizza is always excellent! You can tell that each waiter and staff member has a vested interest in each person that comes through the door.

Google
Absolutely fantastic dinner. The food was fresh, The owner was friendly and the service was amazing. Highly recommend if you're in the area already and if not it's totally worth the drive.

Google
The food was incredible, pizza has 2 options wood fired or classic Americana (cooked in an electric oven imported from Italy) we had the wood fired, I had an all meat pizza with hot honey added and my friend ate a buffalo chicken pizza. We shared a meatball appetizer (the sauce is great and savory). The espresso martinis were a huge draw and perfectly balanced and the espresso shots were rich and dark. We each got dessert I had chocolate chip cannolis which were awesome and my friend enjoyed a lemon torte. Overall great experience, highly recommend!

Yelp
The Yelp reviews brought us here. I rely on Yelp to find new local restaurants. It is especially helpful when planning travel. We went on a Saturday and our plan was to get there when they opened. We walked in right at 11am when they are scheduled to open. We were not the first customers in the restaurant and it very quickly filled up. I read it's always busy at dinner and it's quite busy on the weekends. Plan accordingly. The place is cute and comfortable. I like having a view into the kitchen making area and the huge wood fired stove. Our server was great. I'd made up my mind we were going to get Sopressata Hot Honey - Crushed tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, sopressata salami, local hot honey. They have a fine beer selection and several non-alcoholic options, including mocktails and an NA wine. I opted for the Athletic Run Wild IPA, which was fantastic with the pizza. So the pizza... it took no time at all to put the pizza together and cook it in the wood fired stove. My guess is the Sopressata Hot Honey pizza is one of their most popular and they can probably make it with their eyes closed. The pizza was so good! The cheese, sauce, pepperoni and the hot honey were simply fantastic. I wondered if it would be spicy, but it was not. It was so flavorful and the crust... oh the crust! That wood fired oven does amazing things to the crust. I think I could eat just the crust! We didn't try anything else. We were pretty much in and out, but we left completely satisfied and wishing Camporosso was a little bit closer to us. I think it's safe to say we'll be back.

Yelp
One of the best local restaurants in the area. Be prepared to wait if you go at dinner time or on the weekend, but it is worth it. Every single thing I have tried here has been amazing. Sangria is knock your socks off good (white sangria is pretty sweet). I have tried the hot honey pizza, buffalo chicken pizza, margherita pizza, Italian Cobb salad, Burratta, and meatballs. I honestly don't think there is a bad thing on the menu. Favorites are the Italian Cobb and hot honey pizza. Patio seating is available as well.

Yelp
Went recently after some time (they're always so busy around dinner!!) Still was some of the best pizza around town. We also opted for the chicken parm special which was delicious! The margarita and Quattro pizza was elite we actually got it 'AM' style - a classic za We ate outside and it was a perfect lunch! Also good times here.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to get pizza in NKY. They have so many amazing options with the wood fired option. It's a small location but the service is always great. Just hope you can find a spot around back in the parking lot!
google avatar

Allyson S.

Yelp
Place was good, but not gonna lie I was expecting it to be better. They had a good Caesar which I appreciated and the pizza was yummy but just wish the camp fired one was a little thicker of a slice. Will come back to try the Americana one. Service was good, but it was crazy inside and super tight. Not a good place for a party bigger than 4

Yelp
1,000 aplologies Eric! (Not Kevin) just watched you and your team on Diners Drive Ins and Dives! Camporosso is the best!!

Yelp
Wait: Saturday night 40 minutes. Service: immediate, server was very friendly. Although we didn't get our silverware until after the food was delivered and we had to ask for it. Food ordered: Caesar salad, no anchovies and barbecue chicken pizza. The barbecue was sweet and tangy, overall a really good pizza. Atmosphere: smaller restaurant, very loud. It was one of the coldest days of the year we sat on what would be the patio in the Summer but it was very warm inside.
google avatar

Yelp
I can't believe I have not been here sooner! We came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and we were so glad there were spots in the patio for a gorgeous day! We started off with the Caesar salad, the wedge salad, and the meatballs. They were sooo good. I could order 2 things of meatballs all to myself for my meal alone! The wedge salad dressing flavors were so delicious. We ordered the soppressata hot honey pizza, the prosciutto and fig pizza, and the margherita. They were all delicious! We couldn't get enough. I can't wait to come back- the service was great also! Such kind workers.

Yelp
I love a good mom and pop pizza place and Camporosso did not disappoint! I started an early birthday celebration here with my family and it was the absolute best choice! We went on a Thursday and it was packed! Our wait was only about 20 minutes even with the crowd so we were impressed. We ordered the wedge salad and the camporosso deluxe with hot honey drizzled and it was everything!! Both items were absolutely delicious and filled with flavor. Our server was very friendly and fun to chat with! I recommend for all ages, single or date night. I can't wait to return.

Yelp
Camporosso is a well known, NKY, wood fired pizza parlor with excellent ambiance and authentic food that is worth the wait Parking: on street or in lot behind. Pro tip: reverse into space for ease of exiting Please wait to be seated: there is a hostess stand inside. There are chairs available to sit while waiting on table. Seating very limited, so be prepared to wait outside Wait times vary, but it's worth the wait. Don't want to wait? Arrive before or after lunch and dinner rush, and you can walk in and get immediately seated (most of the time) Bar seating available, and some families open tables to share extra seats with additional parties Covered patio allows for extra seating!!! Service: top notch and above expectations. The servers were awesome! They were so very busy, yet they were visibly smiling, joking with each other and customers, and engaging. Bravo Behind the bar at the stoves: non stop work, very efficient and highly entertaining to watch! Kid friendly - bring your own art supplies! Food: wedge salad - I haven't had one this good in a long time. Caesar was delicious, but will pass for the wedge next time Drinks were delicious and wine selection is second to none Pizza - we tried the prosciutto and fig, hot honey pepperoni, all the meats, and bbq chicken all wood fired. There was not a bad bite in the lot. Crust was superb and adequately salted yet fluffy, perfect for ranch dipping. Able to fold and eat like you do in the city! Cooked thoroughly so no saggy bottoms, flavorful enough to know it's a great crust but not overpowering to the toppings The prosciutto and fig is a hidden delight! No red sauce. If you have heartburn issues with the sauces, I have your next favorite! Savory and sweet with a bit of crunch from the arugula Bbq chicken was southwest style and phenomenal Hot honey, Traditional pepperoni and all the meats were above and beyond Pricing is fabulous(see photo of menu for pricing) We did dine in and carry out - both are amazing! I do prefer the vibe inside. Overall: will become a regular here! It's that good

Yelp
Ordered: sopressata hot honey pizza qnd prosciutto and fig pizza- wood fire Parking: parking lot in the back We came on a Saturday night for dinner. The wait was about 20 minutes. I enjoyed the casual atmosphere and large screens to watch the bengals. Our server Emma was the super friendly. She gave us great suggestions. We waited about 20 minutes for the freshly baked pizza. This was my first time trying prosciutto and fig- it was sweet yet salty and I enjoyed the fresh arugula on top. The hot honey pizza with salami was top quality! I didn't think we would finish 2 (12 inch pies) but it was the perfect amount if you're hungry. I understand they were busy but the bathroom could use a cleaning.

Yelp
Excellent pizza and salads in a cozy old garage turned restaurant. In the warm weather months there's a nice outdoor patio section for dining but we ate indoor. They offer two styles of pizza -- wood fired and Americana. We got the Americana since it's bigger and really enjoyed it. Great crust along with sauce and the toppings tasted really fresh. Prices are really fair too compared to other similar places. Nice beer and wine list as well so it's just great all around.
google avatar

Presley J.

Yelp
First time at Camporosso! The wood fired option is the way to go!! Smaller sized pizza but so much flavor! We got the Camporosso Deluxe and the Margherita pizza. The spaghetti and meatballs were just fine. A bit bland with a strong tomato flavor. To drink I tried the non alcoholic strawberry fields. It was very good. Service was amazing! Very loud inside but if you sit on the patio it is good! Will be back next time I'm in the area
google avatar

Gwendolyn W.

Yelp
This is a great little restaurant. I love the vibe and the outdoor seating. The staff was pretty friendly. The pizza and appetizers and drinks were delicious. I was surprised how long the pizza took to come out considering it was wood fired but it was pretty good! The best sauce.

M K.

Yelp
Very good Neapolitan pizza best Margherita I'm aware of in the area. Their San Marzano tomato sauce is probably the best I've ever had. The only reason I gave four stars is the place is very noisy when busy. In fairness, had it not been 95F outside we'd have eaten on the patio. Everyone wanted to be inside today. The servers were excellent, and they were constantly hustling for a packed house, never missing a beat.
google avatar

Vanessa R.

Yelp
I loved the pizza, but better than that was sitting at the bar watching the staff work as a team and seem to enjoy what they were doing. I was like art and the teamwork was on point. We had the Sopressata Hot Honey, Prosciutto and Fig and the Pepperoni and Sausage. They were all fantastic!
google avatar

Randall T.

Yelp
The Pizza is the best I've found in the area so far. I'm a bit of a Pizza snob. I'm comparing against legendary places in NYC, Philadelphia, and Atlanta among others. Camporossa's keeps up with the best.
google avatar

Aleeza A.

Yelp
Ordered the Buffalo chicken pizza which was very tasty. The Buffalo sauce is made in house and has great flavor. Waiter recommended the hot honey with our pizza so we got some on the side and added it to the pizza and it did not disappoint. We also ordered the four cheese pizza and that one was kind of a let down. It had no type of sauce on the pizza so kind of just tasted like cheese bread. And was a bit cold when it came out instead of a more melty gooey type of pizza. Our waiter was great though and really helped with all questions and was just very friendly in general.
google avatar

Laura K.

Yelp
With my hubby's brother and his wife we enjoyed a wonderful dinner here to celebrate my hubby's 71st birthday. The food was, as usual excellent. Completely too notch and my BIL and SIL agreed the pizza was excellent. Our server, Justine, was terrific. She as very busy, needs roller skates, but was attentive, friendly and just too notch. This place is great for kids as well.
google avatar

MizzBakes A.

Yelp
WOWZA!!! This is by far the best tasting pizza I've ever had! I can't believe it took me years to finally come and try it. We ordered the BBQ Chicken pizza and the All the Meat with added hot honey. I'm speechless on how amazing both pizzas were! Service was great and our drinking glasses were always full. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This is now our #1 pizza spot!!
google avatar

Liz F.

Yelp
Great homey atmosphere and delicious Italian food. Staff gave great and friendly service. The wood fired pizza is SO GOOD. Also the spaghetti and meatballs were tasty and the wedge salad is amazing.
google avatar

Yelp
Top 10 pizza I've ever had! Wonderful food, friendly & welcoming service. A must stop in the NKY area! Highly recommend the outside patio to soak up all the summer views.
google avatar

Yelp
We were looking for a last minute spot to grab dinner and stumbled across this place on yelp. It was fabulous! We had 3 different wood fire pizzas, the meatballs, and the Italian Cobb. Each were fresh and full of flavor! We finished the evening with the smore calzone which was fantastic!

Yelp
Camporosso is becoming one of my favorite places to go while in Northern Kentucky. It has dependably delicious pizza, friendly service and it's around the corner from where my grandparents' lived and my mom grew up -- great food with a bit of nostalgia. I recently visited for lunch with my best friend who lives in the area. We were able to easily get a table and had our orders in within a few minutes. I ordered a favorite from a previous visit: the Prosciutto & Fig pizza. The "wood fired" version is a great size for one person with a few extra pieces to take home with you ... or not if you eat it all ... no judgement. This pizza comes with prosciutto, fig jam, gorgonzola and arugula. The mix of salty and sweet is my favorite part. And the crust is perfectly crispy. My friend got the Sopressata Hot Honey, which was also delicious. I tried a slice! It's made with crushed tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, sopressata salami and local hot honey. Even if you don't like things too spicy (it me!), you should try it. It has just a bit of spice without overdoing it. Our lunch was fun, decently fast, delicious. Also love the fact that Camporosso is in an old garage. Fun place and food! Camporosso holds up!
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Went to Camporosso for a family birthday dinner on a Tuesday evening. We only had to wait a few minutes for a table to be cleared, but be prepared to wait on busier evenings. We started with some meatballs and I tried the Camporossa side salad with Gorgonzola dressing. Everything was timed perfectly between our appetizer and the entrees. My son tried the chicken Parmesan special with spaghetti, my husband had the sopressato and honey pizza, and I had the pasta primavera. Everything came out piping hot and the portions were enormous. I love supporting this small family business and appreciate their passion for homemade Italian food. If you like wood fired pizza this is the place to go. The dining room can be a little loud but the busy kitchen and atmosphere almost feels right for the intimate setting. Check it out!
google avatar

Noah S.

Yelp
Great food, great atmosphere, great people. First time going and I couldn't have been happier. The owner stopped by the table to check on us, and clearly cares deeply about his customers' experience. We took our time, but the kitchen and waitress were on it and we could have been out in 30 minutes if we wanted! Will go again.

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch after a busy day shopping and grocery shopping for the holidays. Ended up being the best decision! Pizza is one of our favorite meals, so the bar was already high, but Camporosso delivered on all fronts. When you walk in, there is a full bar to your left with the pizza oven fire roaring nearby, plenty of indoor seating straight ahead, and a dedicated covered patio area on the right. The place was packed full. We opted for the patio which was nice and warm with space heaters, and quieter too. Servers were fantastic -- came by to check up on us multiple times despite the busy lunch rush. We started off with the Zero Proof Sugar & Spice mocktail, which was delicious with a sugar rim and warm spices. I've found these types of mocktails can oftentimes be overly sweet, but this drink had a good balance. For pizza, we got the Prosciutto & Fig and Sopressata Hot Honey, both wood fired (12"). They also offer a larger 16" Americana style. They were absolutely delicious. Came out piping hot, straight from the oven to our table. The Prosciutto & Fig is on the sweeter side with fig jam, but the fresh arugula and thicker slices of prosciutto help balance it out. The hot honey is essentially a pepperoni pizza with hints of sweetness and spice, not too much in either direction. We each ate an entire 12" pizza with no issues. We came here for a quick lunch stop, but looks like we'll be adding this pizza joint to the rotation whenever we're in Kentucky!

Dev S.

Yelp
This spot is so good, that creates major pit falls. I'd say, forget the weekends... Its simply tooooooo busy. The pizza is a bit pricey, but so tastey and worth. The salads are top notch, pricey, still worth. Chill patio and even indoor vibes. Cool and chill staff. The problem lies in this place, their awesome food, the popularity, and most of all - the parking! You may have to park somewhere and hike over. Just sayin' This place is awesome. I feel like leaving a one star so y'all would stop coming! But this spot is truly worth eating at atleast once. Everything is above average. Its a place that is super special to eat outside at.

Stephani C.

Yelp
We warmed up with the meatball appetizer, and then shared 3 brick fired pizzas among our family of four (with a few leftovers). We ordered the hot honey, the buffalo chicken and the pepperoni/sausage pizzas. They were all amazing, but the hot honey was the favorite. The wait staff were so friendly and the owner even served small samplings of pizza as we waited for our table (35 minute wait on a busy Saturday night). We loved the atmosphere and had wonderful experience all the way around. We were visiting the area, but will definitely dine here again if we are anywhere close. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Bill L.

Yelp
Wood-fired pizzas are excellent...Fig and Prosciutto is amazing! Others are also worthwhile. Daily entrees are worth checking out. Wait staff are all good. Great place.
google avatar

Jackie F.

Yelp
Not so secret of a spot in Northern Kentucky. The wood fired pizza is always cooked perfectly and it's hard to resist another slice. We love coming here and the service is always fast, friendly and attentive. The outdoor patio is covered in the winter and is so cozy! Tonight we were lucky to snag a seat on the heated covered patio with no wait. We demolished a pepperoni and sausage pizza, a hot honey pizza and our kiddos really enjoyed the cheese! We had the pleasure of interacting with one of the owners, Eric. Such a great local spot doing really great things for the community! We are absolutely customers for life after hearing about the incredible ways they give back to the community, and their staff. This review was made in connection with a Toast promotion.
google avatar

Sam W.

Yelp
Really good quality pizza! Great servers that offered quality recommendations! Very cool to be able to see the pizza get cooked.. great vibe and pleasant decor. We got the classic cheese and the Sopressata Hot Honey, both were fantastic.. and ended with a s'mores calzone.. wow! We'll be back!

Jeff R.

Yelp
Love the pizza, meatballs and the wedge salad with Gorgonzola is fantastic but best split between 2+ people if you want to eat anything else. We typically sit at the bar but everywhere we sit the wait staff if friendly and attentive. The place is simple but clean and you can watch them cook the wood fired pizza in a beautiful pizza oven.

Elizabeth R.

Yelp
This place was very packed when we arrived in parking was a challenge. We were able to get a table pretty quickly, but the temperature of the place was pretty cold. The waitress was very nice and attentive. We ordered the risotto balls, which were very good. We also got gnocchi, spaghetti and meatballs and pizza. All was very good and our kids really enjoyed the place. Overall, we really enjoyed the place, but we thought it was pretty expensive especially the three risotto balls. We spent a lot more than we usually would as a family of five.

Steve S.

Yelp
Great pizza, superb service, Historical location. In 2022, Camporosso was awarded the best pizza pie in the United States.

Chance K.

Yelp
The wedge salad, buffalo chicken & pesto chicken were all outstanding. Great service, nice vibe. Love how you're able to see the pizzas being made
google avatar

Jeremy L.

Yelp
Such a cool place centered around a wood burning pizza oven. Top notch crew who has a passion to deliver service beyond your expectations. Pizza and pasta are hands down best you will find for miles around.
google avatar

Bethany S.

Yelp
Food was great! It's very crowded inside with not a lot of space to walk around people. Very nice staff.
google avatar

Amber S.

Yelp
Just visited for the first time a few weeks ago. It was a recommended by a friend and we met there on a Monday evening. I was shocked to see the dining room and parking lot both already full at only 5pm. The parking lot is VERY small and somewhat difficult to access if you aren't familiar with the area. I ordered the chicken pesto wood fired pizza which was decent, although not spectacular. The dining room is small and VERY loud and echoey, so I would not recommend for an intimate date night.
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
Here in Cincinnati for work and felt like pizza today and found this place not too far away. There was a waiting list when I got here so decided to sit at the bar right in front where they make the pizzas. Many pizzas were made in the hour-ish I was sitting there. I ordered half Sopressata Hot Honey and half All The Meat. The honey put an interesting flavor which was kind of weird, but then you wanted another bite! haha Would definitely come back here again when I'm in the area.

Ron E.

Yelp
Great wood fired pizza and hospitable service. My wife and I tried two different WF pizzas and both extraordinarily delicious!! Would highly recommend over any pizza restaurant anywhere!
google avatar

Laura C.

Yelp
Food was great, had a brick oven pizza. Great service, cute garage door patio. Adding words to end review.
google avatar

Rob C.

Yelp
Some of the best Italian and great local place. Pizza is great and specials are bomb.

Riley G.

Yelp
Wood fired pizza's are always the way to go at Camporosso's, salads are very good & big portions. Very nice staff & service, ambiance is casual & has a few tvs to watch sports.
google avatar

Wendy K.

Yelp
A delicious decision to eat here Sunday night. Best advice is to arrive early and don't be in a hurry. We met friends who treated us to an amazing dinner at a new to us restaurant. What an amazing experience. From the wonderful California like ambiance to the custom built coal oven. Would you believe that place was formerly a garage? You can still see the doors overhead. I didn't get enough pictures but everything we ate was yummy. I had a vegetable pizza which isn't on the menu. I consumed the entire dish. No self control whatsoever because it tasted so good. I started with a salad and ended with a s'more type of calzone dessert. I loved it and can't wait to return.
google avatar

Leah B.

Yelp
I've had camporosso twice now, once in store, and once for carry out, both were excellent. My personal favorite is the sopressata and hot honey. I tried it wood fired in store and American style at home. It is a great balance of salty/sweet/spicy and a truly great pie. My sister ordered the Buffalo chicken and it was also good! They had good ranch for those of us who like to drowned their pizza in ranch .
google avatar

William B.

Yelp
Service was slow although it seemed to be a full house. Ordered pizza and a caprese salad asking for them together,we got pizza that was Luke warm at best then 9 minutes later the salad came out $17.50 for a wood fired pizza I don't mind but $17.00 for a salad I wasn't feeling it

Andrew A.

Yelp
Camporosso's Hot Honey pizza is hands-down one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The balance of flavors is unreal--the spicy pepperoni paired with that drizzle of sweet, slightly fiery honey creates the perfect bite every time. The crust is thin, crisp, and just the right amount of chewy, and you can tell they use high-quality ingredients across the board.
google avatar

Haley S.

Yelp
The pizza was delicious and our food came out very fast and the servers are all so nice. very casual pizza spot, inside is so cute. Unfortunately the calzone wasn't too good. But overall a great experience
