In a word, sublime. My wife and I lived in JP for several years and without a doubt went to Canary Square more than any other restaurant in the entire city. While some might think that's limiting, I'd counter with "when you know, you know." We lived just down the street so it was of course convenient, but in reality it was so much more: the draft list alone would be worth 5 stars. The food was always incredible, however "small" might think the menu was. (It was also one of the few places that, thankfully, consistently served a black bean burger.) I, personally, didn't think it was any different than most smaller restaurants in the neighborhood or even the whole of the city. The staff were always pleasant in my view, and we always *always* got sat quickly even on busy Friday/Saturday nights, simply because they eventually came to recognize us. Now we live in Pennsylvania but whenever we visit Boston we plan it so that we can leave early enough to get to CS before they close and have dinner. Don't miss out!
