I've heard so many wonderful things about this place, particularly their wings. My husband and I picked a random Sunday in the summer to visit. We were seated outside, along with several other couples who arrived at the same time. The bees started bothering us as soon as the food arrived, of course. And we probably should have known better, and opted for a table inside instead (although there would have been a wait. #hangry).
For apps, we ordered the broccoli cheddar bites which are essentially Mac and cheese bites with broccoli. We weren't expecting something elaborate, but these tasted like they were previously frozen & from a box. Along with waffle fries that were over fried and over salted.
Main course, we HAD to order the wings which were the star of the show and the only saving grace, because we will be back for those for sure! The buffalo-teriyaki sauce mix is delicious, FYI. Their ranch dressing is awful and tastes like straight mayo. Extremely disappointing for a restaurant notorious for their incredible wings, to not even have a nice ranch. Nope! Mayo. I dipped my wings in sour cream. Just sad.
Word of advice, DO NOT order their cod sandwich. It was an over fried, salty and dry patty on a Kaiser roll. (Where's the potato bread? Or brioche?) I'm not sure how they let this sandwich leave the kitchen, as the patty was almost black in certain spots. I tried to salvage the sandwich overall, but the salt content of everything at that point, was giving me instant indigestion, and it wasn't worth it. Horrible, really.
Staff was nice overall. We experienced the afternoon/evening shift change which was super smooth. Our waitress was a doll, and really saved us from making a scene about the poor quality of our meal.
Anyway, this review is all over the place, but we'll return for wings and wings only and I'll bring my own ranch! lol. And note to the chef, slow down with the salt please! And offer some Ken's!
