Candlelight Inn

I enjoyed going to the Candlelight Inn. The food, service, and atmosphere were good. The servers were very kind and helpful. The place was cleaned and well maintained. The waffle fries are amazing. I highly recommend trying the waffle fries... They also have another section that does carry out, separate from the restaurant where we dined.

This is one of my favorite places to go! Omg the broccoli poppers are a must when visiting 10/10 thank me later. Love my waffle fries with cheese and the garlic bread with cheese & pep! Mild wings are the best and I don’t like spicy! They are not as spicy as well.

I highly recommend trying the garlic parm wings, which were cooked to perfection, accompanied by a side of cheese fries. We also tried their delicious burger which was made well done as asked. The food is generally good, and the restaurant hours are convenient. However, the only downside is the size of the location. It’s very small, and there’s always a wait to get a table.

Not being familiar with the area, I searched online for restaurants as I was starving, and this place popped up as a top option. Parking was convenient, and I was greeted and seated promptly. The staff was attentive and friendly throughout the visit. The food was outstanding! The wings were perfectly crispy on the outside and packed with flavor on the inside. The burger was cooked to perfection, and the onion rings were wonderfully crispy and flavorful. Highly recommend!

Finally I tried this place and was satisfied!! The wings were perfectly fried. It was very light and crispy. Their hot and bourbon honey bbq sauces were perfect with crispy wings. I don’t have to go to Buffalo anymore! Taco salad was also great!! Cash only. p.s. A grandma sitting at the next table put her knife into ketchup bottle to dig ketchup and licked her knife. I’ve never seen and thought someone could do that in the restaurant. 🤢 ============================= We always used to eat wings outside at this restaurant, but because of the sweltering weather, no one could sit out there, so for the first time, we sat inside. Looking out at the lush green trees through the window gave me a healing and peaceful moment. I loved the that spot.

Personally don’t eat wings but my whole family loves it here. Spiciest wing option isn’t terribly spicy if you have a taste for it. The chicken honey bourbon bites are my personal favorite! Servers are attentive and friendly. Vibes are chill for a night to hang and talk to your friends over some food. No reservations!! Big groups will be waiting sometimes an hour to eat. Keep someone inside, they don’t always have a chance to call you (personal experience). CASH ONLY! I’d bring cash, ATM on site might not always be in service. Space is tight inside, if you have active kids you might wanna place them on the side of booths.

we ordered 2 style of wings , when it was picked up it was told that you couldn't put them in 2 separate boxes so you put the dry wings in 1 box and put the sauce in containers... talk about killing the experience all cause you guys was to lazy to give us wings the right way ... was eager to try your famous wings very disappointed.... seems since Rudy's closed Candle light feels they can get lazy with their service and quality of food

I just moved to New York and went here with a friend. I saw this place on tiktok and they raved about the wings. She got the shrimp, I got the wings and we BOTH devoured our food. I'm very picky about my wings but these were good portions meals. The wings are huge and they're coated really well. The drinks were nice and sweet (my friend got the lemon drop) and my beer was super refreshing. The service was great! Everyone was attentive and friendly as well. We'll be back for sure.

I recently moved to white plains and was looking through my bookmarks and bumped into Candlelight which I had saved many years ago as a place I wanted to try. I ordered take out because they are close to my new home and I'm so happy! I ordered through Uber eats and it was quick and easy to navigate. The customer service personnel on the phone and the delivery were friendly and professional. The food came in cute takeout boxes and stacked on top of each other. Nothing spilled and I received my order hot. The wings were delicious! The bourbon honey bbq wings could've been a little crispier. The cheese quesadillas were good, but too greasy. The waffles fries were the best item that we ordered. Can't wait to try other options on the menu!

The wings are overhyped in this place. I kept hearing about how amazing it is and how it's the best place for wings but the wings were mid at best. Now the broccoli bites? That gets them all three stars I've given them. The service was also okay at the table although the bar sitting while we waited for the table was pretty nice. For some reason the second floor is also freezing cold so bring a thick sweater if you come in winter! P.S: the mimosa was also horrible so stick to beer here!

This was my first trip back since COVID. I grew up here and have fond memories of late night wings and cheese fries after school events. The place is just as great as it ever was. You can order bottles of Coke or Diet Coke vs. fountain drinks. CASH ONLY. Sign in when you get there to get a table and don't linger when you are done. Free up the table for others waiting in line and hang out at the bar if you want to chat after eating. They give generous pours at the bar. I had 10 extra hot wings and a custom 12 oz burger with sauteed onions, lettuce, tomato, and bacon, super rare. The burger was perfect, as was the bacon. The wings come whole, so if you order 10, you, technically, get five. You are given a fork and knife to split the wings. You are also given wet naps and a generous helping of napkins. Wings were meaty, crispy, well-sauced and temperature-hot. Given them a chance to cool down after you get them. The spice won't go away. I opted for ranch vs. blue cheese, but didn't use it anyway. If you wear contacts, eat with the hand that doesn't handle them. Next time, I will opt for Chernobyl. Extra hot has a kick, but didn't even turn my cheeks red and no eye tearing. This is a great local hangout, but parking is tough. The building on the south side is the original and I recommend sitting there. It's cramped and has limited seating, which really adds to the experience. They have three TVs running on sports channels in the dining area. Service is very friendly, but rushed because they are so busy, so be ready with your order and be polite. Remember to tip well.

Have lived in Westchester my whole life and this is my first time here because it was one of the only places open. But LOVED it. Wings and mozzarella sticks and waffle fries. Only complaint is that the restaurant is so small and it felt like the other table was on top of us.

This place is everyone's favorite wing spot for a reason. This place serves some of the freshest tasting wings I have ever had!! So fresh, they don't even detach the wing from the drum. This place is always busy and has a waitlist for a table every time so be prepared. Tip: ALL CASH and you need to write your own name on the table waitlist sheet attached to the wall when you first walk in on your left. The wings are a perfect 10/10. The fan favorite sauce is the hot/teriyaki mixed together. The ambiance is as casual as it gets with a family friendly atmosphere. A lot of families come to eat here and I see why. Growing up, when it comes to game day, Candlelight wings are a staple for every party. Every Super Bowl, this place always sells out of wings. I see why this place is family owned since 1955, and has a family feel to it. If you are on Keto, they will cater to your needs. The wings are not breaded and they prepare all their fried food in cholesterol free canola oil (NO TRANS FAT). This place also offers takeout and available through Uber Eats.

Best wings I've ever had. This place is always packed and rightfully so. They have alot of options on the menu, but definitely come for the wings. The place can get loud in the bar area, but you can still very comfortably have a conversation and a fun dinner.

A Scarsdale staple for bar food- great Menu and beer selection. Best wings in the area with many sauces to choose from. As the place is very popular and always crowded- parking in their lot can be a challenge.

Been ordering here for over 8 years. It's excellent bar food and don't underestimate the specials! Great vibes. Not what it used to be but still deserving of 4 stars in my opinion. There aren't many Westchester establishments that go as far back as CLight. If you want the best experience, dine in. Takeout counter isn't as good as main restaurant but still delicious.

Wow. First and foremost, thank you to the two waitresses, as my wife has gluten allergies, and they made sure the gluten-free fryer was on and ready for service! They gave her every option on the menu that was gluten free. They made her feel super comfortable. On my side (the gluten side. lol)) The broccoli and cheese poppers were awesome. Crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. The mild wings were awesome! Large, Meaty, Tasty, and Well Done! One of the better wings i have had in years. Then came the drinks...well made and strong, like it should be! Order the Old Fashioned! It will put hair on your chest! Just great! Everything was great, this is why the parking lot was full. The demand is real and well deserved. Be ready to pay...cash only!

I sat at the bar this time. The rum punch was excellent! Of course, I had to get some nachos, some poppers etc. Always consistently delicious here. Everyone is so nice and friendly. The bartender is very personable and talented as well. it's a great neighborhood spot.

My cousin ordered through Uber Eats. I was almost torn between giving it 4 or 5 stars b/c the mashed potatoes i ordered needed a big,huge improvement. My cousin put butter & heated it up. It was still bad. Garden salad was good. Creamy French dressing was delicious. The wings though let me tell you about them wings. Delicious & huge pieces. The right crispiness.My cousin ordered the bourbon honey bbq wings. The sauce was so good I didn't even use the bleu cheese to dip my wings. This place is famous for their wings & I can see why!

I've been here a few times and I always order the mild wings because they never disappoint. The wings are delicious! The service is always outstanding. It's a laid back atmosphere in which you can enjoy the food with friends, family or alone. It's a cash only establishment.

I've been going to "The Light " for years. If I wasn't going there for a night out, it seems like my night would always end there. They're open 7 days a week, the bar is open till 4 and the kitchen till 3. All the food is ready good but the wings are the best in Westchester and beyond. The staff is always friendly and attentive. I highly recommend. And once again, the Best Wings you will ever have!

This was my first time coming back to Candlelight in what has to be nearly a decade. As usual, once you walk in, it's like walking into a kind of sports bar (because, in part, it is). Their flavors are good, and there is a clear reason their wings are award-winning. Unfortunately, both my burger and our sliders were cooked incorrectly, which put a damper on the other good qualities of the food. Likewise, my burger did not have the right cheese on it. Luckily, their service is just as I remember: accommodating. Isaiah was very helpful, having a couple of things struck from our bill when we notified him. All in all, we had a good experience, but they definitely do some things better than others.

Food was great. The wings were my favorite, we ordered the rack of ribs, 6 oz burger, two orders of 10 piece wings, bbq and mild. The wait wasn't too long, you have to write your name on a piece of paper when you come in and they will call you. I def recommend this place.

Wings were great & fast service on a busy Saturday night during Thanksgiving Day weekend.

Will definitely be calling ahead next time I want to come in and sit at the bar. Came in yesterday to watch football, drink some beers, and eat wings with a friend but the bartender (Melissa?) completely ruined the entire meal. She was awful and had such a bad attitude. Can easily tell she doesn't care about people who come into the place she works at. You would think the bartender would be nicer especially working in customer service.. Food 10/10 Bartender -10/10

This place can get very busy, so be smart and avoid busy times, unless you enjoy long lines and long wait times. Typical bar atmosphere with outdoor eating available. Can be noisy as it fills up and is close to road traffic. We also tried the chicken Caesar salad, which was very good. The wings were the best we have had and remarkable for not being greasy. They claim to only use rice bran oil, so perhaps that explains the lack of grease! Lots of other fun items to try on menu, so we will return and bring people! A great place for families with hungry teenagers! Good value and plenty of choices. *Cash Only*

Unpopular opinion Candlelight is a mediocre option. It isn't bad or good it's just an option for some wings or other bar fair. The wait is always extremely long so if you don't have the time to wait this may not be a good option for you. Also very loud and crowded inside so if you're looking for something intimate also not a great option. Their broccoli poppers are delicious I will say and loaded with bacon so for sure get those! I got the chicken bites with spicy teriyaki sauce. They were pretty good and it was a super large portion. I also had their waffle fries with jalapeño cheese sauce which were equally as yummy as the bites. I'd say for sure give this place a try if you have time to wait to be seated but I wouldn't come back here often.

Food and service is great. Came to see what the hype was about with the wings. And it turns out it's not just hype. Wings are amazing! They have two buildings. One is for the take out orders and the other is a really charming dine in restaurant with a small bar. It gives a nice family restaurant vibe where everybody knows your name and they are always glad you came. Well, maybe not me. I have only been here twice and it was about six months as part but I digress. Staff is professional but casual and friendly. Word to the wise, it's a cash only establishment but don't panic if you don't have cash as there is an ATM on the premises. There is an outdoor seating area that is good for large groups in addition to a patio like area in the restaurant. I really do like the festive decor for the most wonderful time of the year. I'll make this brief- straight up the best wings I've ever had. That's why you go. The other food is good but the wings are special. They come linked (flat and drumstick). They are tender, crispy, juicy, tangy, spicy, [insert any amazing adjective here]. I will say, it is a small establishment and it is usually packed and 9/10 times I have to wait for a table, but believe me it is worth the wait if you like the best chicken wings.

This place is iconic! Been going here for 44 yrs. It is hopping day and night. The absolute best wings around as is the rest of their food. Tacos, nachos, Balboas, soups, salads and burgers and the absolute I'm mean ABSOLUTE COLDEST Beer around! Nothing better than some hot wings and ice cold beer. Sorry no pix we just dug in!

I bought several dozen wings after waiting online for 45 minutes, then another 40 minutes waiting for them after ordering It was super bowl Sunday, so I could understand the long line, and the additional weight Service however was horrible, the people taking the orders were very condescending It was cash only, and there were no signs stating so, and they gave no receipts, great business... Normally their wings are pretty good, when I get home these were very rubbery

I lived in Westchester for about 10+ years and there has been some great wings places but candlelight wings have been consistently great. Stopped in for drinks and a quick bite. Candlelight also has specials so you should check it out but good craft bears that change every so often. Quite a big menu but wings are a common choice here. Been here many times but for new patrons at first glance from outside there are 2 buildings, the regular restaurant and second building for just to go orders. Often times during the summer they expand a bit and setup tables. For how busy it gets parking can get limited to car pool if you can. At the entrance to the main restaurant you will come up to the bar on your right, display menus featuring specials and craft beer. Left side has out door heated seating area which is under a canopy. Main area has benched tables on the inside with the kitchen towards the back. There is a quieter special area reserved for larger parties up in top floor but not always open. There is a sign in sheet on the corner of the wall for you to list your party size and seating preference, leave your name/number and they will call you if they can not locate you in the vicinity of the bar. Wait time was 30 mins it was a Saturday night but for that amount of time was worth it. I can't remember the craft beers but they were both IPA's Yuengling is always on draft there. No apps this time and didn't have to look at the menu, I always go for the wings with a side of fries crinkle cut, side of hot sauce and blue cheese, also add some bourbon bbq flavor if you want to try something new. For Candlelight I would say my best tip for wings is if its a busy night or you like crispy wings, get it plain and ask for the sauce on the side, this will limit any problems with waiting period for sauces to soak into the wings and make it soggy or etc. Friend got the Balboa which is really good with hot roast beef on a garlic wedge bread with melted swiss cheese. Side of fries for both and a good time not too hard on the budget. Candlelight has been a go to with social casual friends for some time and always nice to visit when in the area. I am glad they expanded with the to go counter in the second building to make business run more efficiently. I will be sure to jot the names of some craft beers next time.

Food was so good! We got medium wings for 3 people and it was more than enough. Had the honey bbq! Finger licking good. Prepare to get messy We also got the jalepenos poppers super good and the waffle fries. 10/10 Definitely recommend

Finally I made it to the Candlelight for the first time and what a pleasant surprise. This place is well known in Westchester county for the wings but it is a local bar for many as well. It is a small restaurant but i like the old local bar feel and certainly the wings were delicious ( I ordered the hot teriyaki). This is an unpretentious place with attentive service , good bar food and cold beer. It is Cash only !

We hasn't been to the Candlelight Inn, in about 25 yrs! We felt like wings. So if you feel like wings, you go to the Candlelight Inn. Those wings were so crispy and delicious. Finger licking good. We ordered a medium size, of hot Teriyaki with some blue cheese on the side. We also ordered potato skins. Food was excellent, service was great. We went early, on a Saturday so the wait wasn't too long. They have 2 restaurants right nest to each other. With parking in the back.

The food is it or miss. Sometimes the wings are cooked perfectly and sometimes it's cooked too much and taste like rubber. The service there is awful. They have some very rude cashiers and a lot of times, they do make mistakes with the order but don't apologies for it.

We were looking for a place to grab food on the way home after a concert. First time here but have lived and dined in the area. The wings were great. So make sure you order. The space is small and the chair I sat in was ripped. A bit outdated but friendly staff and prices are great for Scarsdale

This place has the best wings!!! The wings are crispy, incredibly saucy, and always hot! I have visited this place twice due to the quality of the food. There was a wait, but the service is worth it! Must try!

What a place! Fabulous wings, drinks and onion rings. Yes, the wings are attached, not a big deal. We got the medium hot, think we'll go to hot next time. I'm also going to try the honey bourbon BBQ and the waffle fries. Looking forward to it! Service was great, very attentive.

After having this spot on my list for a few years, I finally had the chance to experience them and wasn't too ecstatic. The service was certainly rushed and my orange juice was fake. If there's one thing that should never be store bought, its OJ in a joint like this. The broccolli poppers were really tasty, the best thing I had all day because the wings weren't that great. I'm not sure what the rave is about, it tasted really bland because it's probably from chicken upstate anyway. The teriyaki sauce didnt do it for me. I had the waffles fries with gravy sauce, again the sauce was something out of bottle that didn't mesh well with the fries. Overall not pleased - wouldn't go back but hopefully it's for someone elses taste.

Ordered through Uber eats. Short period of time from pickup to drop off, food was cold. Motz sticks came with no dipping sauce and hot turkey sandwich was terrible!

I've heard so many wonderful things about this place, particularly their wings. My husband and I picked a random Sunday in the summer to visit. We were seated outside, along with several other couples who arrived at the same time. The bees started bothering us as soon as the food arrived, of course. And we probably should have known better, and opted for a table inside instead (although there would have been a wait. #hangry). For apps, we ordered the broccoli cheddar bites which are essentially Mac and cheese bites with broccoli. We weren't expecting something elaborate, but these tasted like they were previously frozen & from a box. Along with waffle fries that were over fried and over salted. Main course, we HAD to order the wings which were the star of the show and the only saving grace, because we will be back for those for sure! The buffalo-teriyaki sauce mix is delicious, FYI. Their ranch dressing is awful and tastes like straight mayo. Extremely disappointing for a restaurant notorious for their incredible wings, to not even have a nice ranch. Nope! Mayo. I dipped my wings in sour cream. Just sad. Word of advice, DO NOT order their cod sandwich. It was an over fried, salty and dry patty on a Kaiser roll. (Where's the potato bread? Or brioche?) I'm not sure how they let this sandwich leave the kitchen, as the patty was almost black in certain spots. I tried to salvage the sandwich overall, but the salt content of everything at that point, was giving me instant indigestion, and it wasn't worth it. Horrible, really. Staff was nice overall. We experienced the afternoon/evening shift change which was super smooth. Our waitress was a doll, and really saved us from making a scene about the poor quality of our meal. Anyway, this review is all over the place, but we'll return for wings and wings only and I'll bring my own ranch! lol. And note to the chef, slow down with the salt please! And offer some Ken's!

CASH ONLY! The wings here are unique as "one piece" is considered a flat and a drum that come connected. So you can't ask for just flats or just drum sticks if you like only one or the other. The minimum order is 5 wings so essentially 5 flats and 5 drums. I would say the service is also staggered so we ordered two orders of wings, cheesy waffle fries, sides of carrots, and sides of blue cheese and sour cream. The waffle fries came out first about 15 mins before the wings and we were looking to dip the fries in blue cheese and sour cream so we asked for those sides. The sides didn't come until after the wings did which was after the fries. We checked in with our server, who was really nice, but then had to follow up about 10 mins after getting our wings we were still waiting for sides of blue cheese, sour cream and carrots. The blue cheese and sour cream came out but by then the wings had gone cold and then about 10 mins later after we asked for boxes the carrots came out. Everything tasted good but was a little frustrating when you ask for sides to dip the wings and fries in but aren't able to. Nothing major but it's happened before to us the last time we ate here. The overall setting too of eating outdoors is fun but right next to a busy road so if you're trying to have conversations on the patio is tough to hear other people. I would say overall this is a great late night place when nothing else is open and you are craving greasy delicious foods!

A friend recommended this place to me. Wanted to try out their shepherds pie as he raved heavily about it. I was curious to try it out so I ordered some take out. They provided the shepherds pie along with some brown sauce that was delicious to throw into the shepherds pie. The portion was HUGE but man was it so good! I was able to reheat a portion of it the next day as I was unable to finish it all in one sitting. It really was a burst of flavor on my palette. I would definitely order this again, it's just outright so good.

Came here all the time back in the day and can say that it has gone downhill. I ordered well done wings and looks like they served me some raw wings. Glad I drove an hour for this.

Food in this spot is amazing and have really great prices. Went and had some wings (mild/ bbq bourbon), beer battered onion rings, jalapeño poppers, mozzarella sticks, a pitcher of lemonade, ginger ale, a strawberry and vanilla milkshake. The bills for the 4 of us with tip came out to about $84. It might be "fast food" but the quality and size of the food is definitely worth it. Strawberry milkshake wasn't all that. My biggest complaint was the wait. It was over 30 mins and it was a bit cold in the second floor where we ate. The service was quick and polite. They close at 2am so it's great for late night snack!

Wings were amazzzzzzing! Some of the best crispy buffalo wings ever! Casual ambience and friendly staff. Dog friendly on the patio too.

What a cute local bar scene!! Who knew! After a hard core workout at Vadim's just a few feet away, we went for some wings and beer. The wings were delicious (3 kinds, 3 flavors) and also very cheap, a nice surprise in this area! Where there is a good "Cheers" Vibe, I'll happily come back!
