Dining in Sandy Springs | Eater Atlanta

"The premise here is “seafood of the most pristine quality and widest variety.” This means the restaurant receives shipments of lobster from Maine, king crab from Alaska, snapper from the Gulf, and locally sourced seafood. In the Market Fish section, look for shrimp from Texas, flounder from North Carolina, and ask about the fresh catch that can be grilled, broiled, blackened, or sauced to order. Pair it with an excellent gumbo or their signature chargrilled oysters to keep things in the South." - Su-Jit Lin

The seafood and oysters here were absolutely amazing!!! My wife and i have been in Sandy Springs for years, and are so glad we finally came here. The raw oysters were incredibly fresh, and the chargrilled oysters were extremely flavorful! The red snapper and rice were outstanding, and the grouper w/ lobster risotto was rich and delicious! Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, and the restaurant itself was elegantly old fashioned. For parking, there is valet, as well as parking garage around back thats a 3 minute walk away. We will definitely be coming back again, especially for the happy our oysters!

Google
I can’t tell you enough that you need to order the oysters . The Rockefeller are wonderful, but the chargrilled oysters here need to win a prize. The service is always wonderful the servers and hosts are kind and accommodating. I have never had a bad experience and me and my friends come often. You can expect solid recommendations and on top of it service. Def my go to for a vibe my environment, glass of wine and good food for a girls night out or date night ! Oh ps get the crème brûlée for desert.

Google
Five star service and quality. Incredible experience celebrating my dad's 70th birthday at C & S. Our server, Gias, was exceptionally knowledgeable, patient, and fun. Food was delicious! Look forward to returning. Thank you C & S staff and management.

Google
10s Across the board! I found C&S on a whim and I am soooo happy I did. The drinks, the FRESH food (that Sea Bass is chefs kiss), the atmosphere, the SERVICE! Dillon was amazing. Super knowledgeable, patient with our indecisiveness, his energy and attentiveness really set the tone for the restaurant. Ask for him but only if you’re going to give good energy because he’s my new friend and if I find out someone was mean to him we may have a problem. I also have to give an honorable mention to Urshel because although he didn’t wait on us, he too has great energy and made sure we were ok throughout our time there. Go for the food, stay for the service. Will be back soon!

This is one of my all time favorite restaurants. My grandmother came into town so my mom took us out. The service was top notch. Britney the manager greeted us and seated us. Maurice the server was amazing and attentive. My only issue is all 3 plates came out cold. Maurice was apologetic. But that’s all we received was an apology. The food was not remade.we had to wait a while for the food. And It was simply microwaved or heated up. The prices that we are paying for food, I feel like this was not handled properly. Brittney came over and apologized (she was super nice) and they gave us dessert as compensation. We spent almost $300. The food coming out cold and then simply reheating the plates and then having to wait for it be brought back out is ludicrous. And only being compensated a dessert is truly insulting. I want to give a higher rating bc the food was so delicious. But cold food, with these astronomical prices, in today’s economy, I expected more. This was a bad first impression for my grandmother. I will be back. But she wasn’t very happy with the service or food. The oysters were amazing. And cooked perfect. Pictured is my red snapper dish. Simply reheated and added micro-greens on top. The quality of this restaurant, this is just disheartening.

Google
Yessss! Fresh seafood flown in daily. Oysters!! For real. Escargot, caviar, BEST sea bass, great seafood. Excellent wine selection. Casual enough to not be precious. Upbeat. Great time.

Google
Excellent seafood restaurant. I only visit when someone else’s buying. 😂 Everything I’ve had has been great including Salmon BLT, oysters, burgers, poke bowl, etc. They also carry this really good hot sauce. Great place for business lunches.

Google
The food at C&S was amazing but the service immaculate!! You could really see that the staff was working as a well oiled machine to ensure that the service provided to customers was top tier. The grouper to DIE for the lobster risotto was amazing the lobster tails were amazing! Even the fried bites were fried to perfection! The lobster tails had an amazing crunch but the lobster was still sweet, juicy, and cooked perfectly! 10 out of 10 would highly recommend! And my server Gias was amazing and very attentive as well which made the overall experience perfect! I will definitely be returning.

Yelp
EXCELLENT! Everything was amazing...service was top notch, the food was delicious and the vibes were immaculate! Reasons for the five stars: - the food...chefs kiss! We had the 8oz filet, the branzino, the snapper , the salmon a host of sides and appetizers and nothing disappointed. - we were a larger party and they catered to our group so perfectly - urshel took care of us and he did an excellent job of making sure our group of about 20 people was well taken care of Can't wait to take myself on a solo date here the next time I'm in town!

Yelp
I've dined here for lunch many times and only dined for dinner a couple of times. I always come for the chargrilled oysters! My favorite! Happy hour allows me to have double the amount of oysters! This time we had an over server. I mean by that is that, he would not leave us alone! We are trying to discuss some personal information and every four to 10 minutes he would come by and refill the water or refill the tea or take the glass and replace the glass. Most people would think this to be a good server. I was most annoyed when he tried to take the signed check before we left the table.. Additionally, we are overcharged for an item on the receipt I will probably still return to this place, but will ask for a different server.

Yelp
Nestled just off Roswell Road in Sandy Springs, C&S Seafood is a true gem for seafood lovers. The restaurant boasts a dimly lit ambiance that creates a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a night out or a special celebration. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with outstanding customer service. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, ready to recommend dishes that showcase their culinary excellence. Speaking of dishes, the chargrilled oysters are a must-try--smoky, savory, and utterly delicious. The highlight of my meal was the grouper, which quite literally melts in your mouth. Cooked to perfection, its flavor was complemented beautifully by the sides. I also enjoyed the lycheeback, which was crafted with precision and paired perfectly with my appetizer, enhancing the overall dining experience. With free parking available, C&S Seafood makes it easy to enjoy a delightful meal without any hassle. This restaurant has quickly secured a spot in my top five seafood restaurants in Atlanta. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by--you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
From aperitif to digestif we were well pleased. Service was A+, our waiter Urshell was very knowledgeable, I love when ppl love what they do! I was pleased with the oyster and wine list & the food was excellent. C&S owes me nothing, it was worth every penny spent. We had oysters on 1/2 shell, crab cake, the lobster & sea bass dishes. couple glasses of Prosecco white Burgundy and Albariño, we thought 'no room for dessert' but just had to try something to proud this wasn't a fluke. C&S did not disappoint, it's added to my favorite list.

Yelp
10/10 Service was awesome! Scott was an awesome bartender and the happy hour special is unmatched. I wish they would add just one more option for wine but it still paired perfectly with oysters. This location is nice and the parking is fairly simple to park. I went on a Wednesday and it wasn't crowded at all which I loved.

Yelp
Stopped in for the happy hour oysters. Always fresh and always good. Very nice dimly lite ambience! Our waitress was very nice and attentive. I also had the drop as my drink and very tasty.

Yelp
Service was good, our waiter was attentive and friendly. The tae was cleared after each course. We did not receive the warm towels after the mall though. Food was a bit bland. Not a lot of seasoning but everything was prepared well. I had lamb chops- (65.00) medium and they were perfect. I added whipped potatoes. The gumbo needed salt. Grilled shrimp were cooked perfectly. The broccolini were crisp and were probably the most flavorful of anything. Truffle fries had lots of truffles so if you like that... You'll love these. The dining area is dimly lit so perfect for a intimate date.

Yelp
It took ALL of my energy NOT TO ORDER EVERYTHING OFF THIS MENU! I wanted both types of salmon, swordfish, Chilean sea bass, octopus, lobster, all of it... But I settled with the octopus and the Ora king salmon. My friend opted for oysters, the tuna tar tar and the sea bass. - The Octopus: I ordered mine without potatoes because I'm not a fan. The octopus was perfection. So tender, no chewy at all, sweet and succulent, everything octopus should taste like. That being said, I did NOT like the salad that came with it, at all... And I also wish there was MORE octopus, ha ha, but that's just me being a HUGE OCTOPUS FAN and also having the ability to eat like a linebacker. - The Ora King Salmon (with crispy Brussels Sprouts and Green Beans): The salmon was divine, however the skin was unfortunately a little burnt (and skin is my favorite part). I also don't know that it actually was Ora King Salmon in all honesty. I've had lots of Ora King Salmon and what I was served tasted more like a Faroe Island Salmon, which is still amazing, but no Ora King. Regardless, perfectly cooked to my liking (minus the skin) and the Brussels sprouts were PHENOMENAL (like WOW!) as were the green beans. They paired perfectly with the salmon! - Tuna Tar Tar: I tried a bit of my friend's tar tar and while it was good, I think if I ordered it for myself, I would have asked for the sauce it comes in on the side or none at all because I think it was too strong, detracting from the flavor of the tuna and avocado. Over all, I did really love the food I ate, I just wish I ordered more, ha ha, but this just means I am HUNGRY FOR MORE and need to come back!

Yelp
My wife and I went for a birthday redo dinner at C&S. All I can say is it was a home run. The food and service combined for an amazing dinner out. Dylan was our server and he made our night effortless. We had a seafood tower plus the king crab steamed(pro recommendation Dylan) and I had the Chilean sea bass Oscar while my wife did a surf and turf with a stuffed lobster tail. The cocktails were delicious and the wine paired perfectly with our meal. This is what going out to a great dinner experience should be.

Yelp
Happy Hour oysters- one dozen for $22 Monday-Friday from 4-6pm. Also loved the pan seared grouper with lobster risotto. Service was good; waiter was attentive. Ambiance is quiet and nice vibe. They also have patio seating that overlooks Roswell Rd.

Yelp
Definitely my favorite spot in Atlanta for Grilled oysters. This was one of my favorite espresso martinis as well. Our server Eli was a joy and had great recommendations. Unfortunately we JUST missed lunch but got to indulge in the New Year's Day all day oyster happy hour. Wasn't too crowded either. Great way to start the year!

Yelp
My dining experience at C&S Oyster was exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with hospitality. The ambiance was delightful, setting the perfect mood for a memorable meal. Kudos to the team at C&S Oyster for creating such tasty meal and welcoming service!

Yelp
Remember how restaurants were before Covid? Well this is it! We had a beautiful table and wonderful customer service experience. The food was delicious. We had a much needed date night and this really was the best we have had in Atlanta in a long time. My husband enjoyed the steak and I had the red snapper which was amazing. They have a wonderful and extensive list of oysters. The drinks were delicious . We had at least two managers come by and check on us. Easy and free parking. We will be back. Atl premiere date night experience!

Yelp
Brought my mom and some of her friends to celebrate her birthday. Ambiance-wise, they have comfy plush booths and attentive service. It is on the quieter side, but not too stuffy. Large menu offering a nice seafood selection. Swordfish was nice and tender. There is a display case by the kitchen so you can see the quality of the fish. Our waitress said their fish (with 1 exception) were wild caught.

Yelp
I recently visited C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar for their happy hour, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The dozen oysters for $22 were simply amazing, and the lychee martini I ordered was equally delightful. I'll definitely be returning this weekend for another round!

Yelp
Unfortunately, our experience wasn't as good as I hoped it would be. I had this place bookmarked for a while and was looking forward to stopping by when we were in the area. I'll start with the service. Our original server was knowledgeable and was able to tell us about featured items that weren't on the menu from memory, which was impressive. After explaining the menu, he never came back, and walked past us several times without even looking at us, but continuously interacted with the people in the booth next to ours. Then after about 15 minutes, another server took our order. We weren't notified that there would be a change, no communication at all. We also had to ask for tableware several times. I'm not sure why we would be seated at a bare table. The food wasn't as good as we were expecting either. Everything we ordered was lackluster. I had high hopes for the bone marrow and escargot dish, but it was a letdown. The mushrooms completely overpowered the flavor of the dish, and it was bland. The avocados on the lobster cobb salad were unripe and hard. Honestly, the high point of our visit was being two booths away from Deon Cole. Needless to say, we likely won't be returning.

Yelp
My goodness, when I say EVERYTHING is absolutely delicious. We started with Chargrilled oysters & Rockefeller oysters. I was in heaven. The Chargrilled were my favorite. Then I had a fish off the specialty lost I had never heard of: Pompano! OMG! Absolutely DELICIOUS! Cooked to perfection w asparagus & the mango & Crab Jamaican Red rice absolutely amazing. Also had a side of garlic & lemon spinach. To top it off, we had the Carmel Gelato & apple pie cheesecake. I hate I didn't take any pics of the food, but it's a testament of how delicious the food was. Top notch service! JD & Morgan never disappointed. JD gave excellent recommendations! He's truly experienced!

Yelp
It's a fine diner. I think it's a perfect date night spot. The oysters are fresh albeit it's not the best I've had. Service is standard as you expect at a fine dining restaurant. Did anything exceptional catch my buds? Nope. I am an oyster snob but this was very average in terms of taste. The food was mediocre good. I didn't think anything deserved a chefs kiss. Also, this place is too pricey for not being that great. I wouldn't revisit given I know so many other spots for better oysters. The drinks were average too.

Yelp
So this time I did takeout. Their lobster Cobb, and it was fantastic as always. Prompt service (my carry out was ready in 15 mins). Jamie answered the call and this person is utterly professional. My husband picked up the order and the way it was packaged was so convenient since I was eating away from home: utensils, napkins, condiments (not that I needed any). The salad is fresh, plentiful, and has a great variety. Excellent for folks on a low carb diet as well. Hats off to C&S

Yelp
We came here for my bf birthday on a Friday night. We did early dinner and they had oyster specials. $22 for dozen raw or charred oysters, which is a pretty good deal. So definitely get there before 6 pm if you want oysters. Food was good. I got branzino and he got steak. Both really enjoyed our meals. 4 stars for the drink. My bf drink seemed like it didn't have any alcohol in it, we had to send it back. Parking: there's parking garage right across.
google avatar

Janelle J.

Yelp
Food, service, ambiance all perfection. Went for a surprise birthday dinner and the food, drinks and service were too notch. Would certainly say my sea bass was cooked to perfection and the oysters were almost, meaning very close to how good they are in New Orleans. My drink was the lycheeback, which I think about every-time time I go to another restaurant. Plan to spend a nice chunk of change at this restaurant but it's certainly worth it! I would certainly attend again!

Mindyour B.

Yelp
Whatever you do DO NOT order the lobster risotto. Pictures below of what they advertise vs what they actually serve. Literally almost NO lobster. Not to mention one container little over half full when we got it. Very disappointed to say the least.
google avatar

Yelp
What an absolutely fantastic experience! The food was absolutely delicious! And the service was even better. Our waiter Jeremiah, was absolutely fabulous and attentive and made excellent suggestions. He treated us like he really was happy to be there and that he was happy to wait on us. We had unlimited mimosas and they were amazing and he kept them coming without us having to ask. We started with the char grilled oysters and they were absolutely amazing and packed full of flavor and high-quality. I then had the red snapper as my entrée and the fish was light, flaky, fresh and delicious. My friend had the grouper and it was full of flavor and delicious as well. We were so stuffed we couldn't eat dessert, but we will definitely be back again. I highly recommend coming to this location. It was an absolutely phenomenal experience and exceeded all expectations for deliciousness and top notch service.

Yelp
Oysters were insane......took the family from out of town and our SERVER WAS AMAZING. The Negroni's were really good as well. Everyone was saying their dish was the best which is a good sign. Clean atmosphere.
google avatar

E.l. J.

Yelp
The service is impeccable! The oysters need work. I eat them often and if you can't pull it off like they do in NOLA, then don't try. The Shrimp Springrolls are a must! The Lobster Wedge salad was just okay. Needs a little seasoning. Would definitely go back to try the rest of the menu.

Julie M.

Yelp
We went to dinner here last night and noticed a huge difference in service. The waiters were trying to rush us through our meal, they only let us have one cocktail then cleared our table quickly, and gave us our check. For the amount we are paying, we wanted to enjoy our meal and our wine, but kept being bothered by the staff to clear our table. We are very disappointed and annoyed by this after we told them not to take our plates. We will never return to this establishment.
google avatar

Cam S.

Yelp
Valet Parking is an option. $3 Service was great, hosts, server, support staff were all wonderful and our server was very knowledgeable of the menu which is always a plus. Food was delicious as always. First time at this location but did not disappoint. Drinks were good. Ambiance of the restaurant is not as romantic as other location but nice for dinner. Would recommend for the next person. Great place to be low key.

Fatimah A.

Yelp
My husband and I had the best date night here. The food was amazing and our server Maurice was out of this world!! His knowledge of the menu, his excellent table side manners and his recommendations were TOP TIER!! Mainly because of his service and those Charbroiled Oysters we'll definitely be returning!!

Yelp
I have been to this location three times now. It's located in a new building in Sandy Springs right across from Rumi's Kitchen. Parking can be a little tricky, but there is a valet option that makes it easy for a few bucks. It's seems to usually be busy so I'd recommend a reservation. I have always sat at the bar, but it is a pretty small bar so that's not super reliable either. I have also only been here for a drink and an app or two, but they have some awesome apps. #1 - Their rendition of New Orleans Chargrilled Oyster is very good. Best I have had outside of New Orleans. Being where we are though, the oysters are pretty small so it isn't a lot. #2 - The Colossal Crab Salad is a new favorite of mine. I had this a few weeks ago for the first time, and had to go back a week later to see if it was good as I remember. The mustard sauce they serve with it is divine (think Joe's Stone Crab). But the crab meat is like nothing I have ever had. The best way I can describe it is "velvetty". While lacking some of the sweetness of something like stone crab claws, the texture and gentle flavor combined with a nice non-overpowering mustard sauce is simply amazing. Service at the bar has always been spot on. This is a nice place that will run you over $50 per head for a complete meal even if you just go with 2 apps, but well worth the price. Great experience. I highly recommend.

Yelp
Wonderful ambience. Food was on point. And the service was very much so up to par, waiter was very knowledgeable of the food.

Yelp
My hair Stylist was raving about this place ... specifically their grilled lobster tails. Having recently moved in from the West Coast, I was looking forward to trying several items on the menu. Ambiance? We had a nice booth, but it was on the other side of the bar ... it seems a man was having a few too many cocktails (at 1:30 in the afternoon)! He was talking really loud ... I guess no one else cared??? I went with two friends, they each had a cocktail and they were tasty. I ordered the twin lobster tails and they each ordered the Alaskan King Crab. Overall, they said their meal was acceptable ... they were not fond of the mashed potatoes ... my lobster wasn't grilled enough, even though I asked that it be "well grilled" ... I had to send it back and wait while I encouraged everyone else to begin. Oh well, we won't be going back. It's especially sad, because we went around 1:30 in order to miss the busy lunch crowd, so I don't know what excuse there could be for substandard food (given the price points).
google avatar

Marcus P.

Yelp
Charbroiled oysters stole the spotlight....even though the fried lobster tails were delicious as well. I thoroughly enjoyed the complete dining experience. The staff was very attentive and gracious! This my first time at this location but it will not be my last.

Yelp
C&S has been on my places to try list for a while after seeing so many people rave about the brunch and oysters on TikTok. I'm so glad I was able to finally try the brunch with my cousin. Upon arrival I parked via valet but was not a huge fan as the instructions were not clear if it was optional and if the keys being left with you, the host stand at the restaurant or valet were different options. Once I entered the restaurant I loved the intimate ambiance. Very classy dining setting and there was a sign for a dress code even though I did see some guests a bit dressed on the relaxed side. My cousin and I started with the bottomless mimosas and oysters that did not disappoint. The mimosas were a good ratio of champagne and juice and the oysters had a good variety of flavor that our waiter Paul recommended we try them all. For our entrees I had the shrimp and waffles and my cousin had the French toast burrito. I loved the seafood take on the classic chicken and waffles, I just wished my shrimp were a bit more seasoned. My cousin enjoyed her burrito but said she didn't like it enough to order it again. Overall I will definitely be back. Make sure to ask to be seated in Paul's section because he made or experience exceptional.

Yelp
Good fried oysters and shrimp, poor boys. Very professional service. New York style ambience.

Yelp
The food was amazing. I've been in that plaza a ton of times. I can't believe I never been to the restaurant. This place is excellent for a date night, impressing guests, or just hanging out with friends. The service was awesome.

Yelp
Dear Manager, I hope this letter finds you well. I recently had the pleasure of dining at your esteemed establishment on Sunday May 21st, and wanted to reach out to commend the exceptional food and overall atmosphere. The culinary artistry was unparalleled, the dishes we ordered were delightfully flavorful, and the service was quite satisfactory. However, there was an incident I witnessed during my visit which deeply concerns me, and I believe it necessitates your urgent attention. While sitting at our table, I had an unintentional glimpse of the kitchen where I observed a distressing interaction between two of your staff members, the food runner and one of the cooks. It was quite evident from their conversation and demeanor that the food runner was mistreating the cook, a situation that shocked and saddened me. I feel morally obligated to report the nature of this mistreatment, as it crossed the boundaries of professional decorum, leaning towards harassment, with apparent racial undertones. The verbal aggression and disrespect exhibited by the food runner was not only inappropriate but also profoundly unsettling. Being a patron and a fan of your restaurant, I believe that such behavior does not align with the otherwise high standards you maintain. I understand that kitchens can be high-stress environments, and some level of friction might be inevitable, but this was a matter of personal and racial disrespect that is unacceptable in any context. This incident significantly marred the otherwise wonderful experience I had at your establishment, and I am certain that it could be even more harmful to the workplace harmony and the morale of your staff. It is not my intention to draw any hasty conclusions about your managerial practices or to cause distress, but I felt it was crucial to bring this to your attention. I believe that you value each of your employees and the contribution they make to your business, and that you would want to address such a serious issue promptly. It is my sincere hope that this situation can be rectified to ensure a respectful and harmonious working environment for all your staff. After all, the spirit and camaraderie of the team reflect in the food they create and the service they provide. I want to thank you for taking the time to read this letter, and I hope it will contribute to creating a better, more inclusive, and respectful environment at your restaurant. Warm regards,

Yelp
Went here on a whim and It did not disappoint. The oysters were amazing. We got the chargrilled and the Rockefeller. I enjoyed the chargrilled more. I also got a salad. I had traveled all day from The west coast so I was pretty wiped out. Of course we got the dessert and the crème brûlée was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Amazing food and service. The crab cakes and bone marrow were amazing. Try the salmon in the coconut broth! You won't be disappointed

Yelp
A sweet surprise! We went here for my birthday. Wow! They delivered! The restaurant has perfect lighting (ladies), it's elegant, cozy (date night) and beautiful. Our server was very well spoken and made delicious recommendations. I had the whole lobster and shrimp cocktail. The bartender, Brian made me my first drink. It was tasty and had just the right amount of alcohol. The bar has limited seating so I recommend coming really early or close to closing time (not too close, be nice) This was a very special night for us. 100% recommended!

Yelp
My favorite place to go for specials on oysters..please note that this review is ALL about the oysters. I have had the chargrilled and Rockefeller oysters on several occasions and have never been disappointed - this review is long overdue. The oysters are always fresh and a nice size, well seasoned and delicious! The service at this location is welcoming and pleasant, everyone is always accommodating and I can't say enough about how exemplary service really creates a more pleasurable dining experience. Definitely one of my go-to seafood spots for great and fresh tasting oysters.

Yelp
I visited C&S for lunch. The ambiance was very classy and sexy. I was immediately greeted by Gaje and seated. The service was amazing! There is a parking deck (free parking) located behind the restaurant. I started with chargrilled oysters and then had the lunch salmon and the peach cobbler cheesecake (limited offering) for dessert. The food was delicious! The sauce on the salmon was really good.

Yelp
The ambiance is white table cloth, old money, quiet. I did like that you can see the fish and a bit of the kitchen. The staff was friendly. My waiter was amazing! He had great vibes, funny, handsome and very knowledgeable. The food was exceptional! I tried 2 different cocktails, we shared 2 apps and split an entree as we were doing more talking than eating. I will absolutely come back here, even if I just sit at the bar by myself. My server also told me they do brunch on the weekends. I'm so glad I gave this place a try. This will be my go to. The tab was about $200 with tip and I don't regret a dime. Happy dining!!

Yelp
Here's a very honest review. The food at C&S is incredible but management and the bar tenders are what set this place apart. Eli, Brandon, Rachel, Jordan #1, Jordan #2 and Alexa make C&S special. I eat dinner here 7-8 times per month and look forward to how I'm treated as much as I look forward to the food. Alexa is probably the best restaurant GM I've ever seen. I've never seen her not smiling. If you're looking for the best of the best when it comes to a night date, business dinner or just a place to relax and be pampered, look no further than C&S in Sandy Springs! Cheers! Taft Mills

Yelp
This was our first visit to C&S Seafood and oyster bar and it was really good. We will repeat. My buddy and I both had the VERLASSO SALMON with capers which was excellent. Lunch came with green beans and potatoes. Service is impeccable here. Great soft music playing in the background. The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere. It is pricey for lunch but worth it as a fine dining treat. No problem getting a table at lunch time, but they recommended reservations for dinner. Free parking in garage behind the restaurant. This whole area is a nice addition to Sandy Springs.

Yelp
I took friends to C & S yesterday for a birthday celebration. Wow does not begin to describe the meal we had. We ordered two lobster tails for appetizers, one fried and one in an amazing cream sauce. I had the Sea Bass Hong Cong style and it was amazing, the birthday girl had more lobster, obviously she likes lobster and could not stop bragging on it. The other friend had the Grouper and I am pretty sure he liked it. The plate was clean when he finished. To top it off we had three deserts to celebrate the birthdays and they were delicious. The two waiters were perfect in every way possible. Making great suggestions on food and wine. One of the best things about this restaurant is that you can actually hear each other talk and the decor is beautiful. The owner Rich even came by and spoke with us to make sure everything was perfect and it was. I eat out often and in my opinion this is the best seafood restaurant in the metro area. Brant Bateman

Yelp
- Chargrilled oysters are Amazing - Service was immaculate - Try a French 75 (w/ cognac) & a Lemon drop (w/ tequila rep) -I definitely was scared of the menu. If you're not experience with a lot of different seafood, the menu may feel limited, but the shrimp entree was absolutely amazing and worth it - Venue was kinda loud and kinda closed in

Yelp
Our Server Maurice, did his absolute best in taking care of us during our private dining experience...the experience itself was substandard. Reservations: On my first call the Hostess stated with up to 12 guests we could sit in the main dining area. In my second call the Host stated up to 15 guests could sit in the main dining area. After the conflicting information, I called back & requested to speak to the Special Events point of contact. It was Gage who clarified everything. 15+ guests must utilize the private event room, $90 per person Prie Fix & spend minimum. He emailed me the contract, I filled it out, sent it back & never received an executed copy...no problem. Due to the fluctuation of guests & a few days before the dinner, I tried to contact Gage multiple times via phone/email with no response. Again, no problem as the restaurant game is one of the busiest industries...we ended up connected the day before the dinner. My Daughter & I arrived an hour early to ensure everything was set & ready to go. I asked the Hostess for Gage & was told he was not working. I stated our headcount was a solid 10 & would like to request shifting to the main - no worries about having to wait if necessary. She stated, "there are a few ways to blend tables together but it may be a little tight". Out of the blue, the manager on duty - a tall woman with blonde hair approached us. I said hello, mentioned my name & tried to reiterate what the Hostess said about shifting to the main dining area. Without any basic salutation of sorts to me or my Daughter, she said: "We already set up the private area, I had to call in an extra employee into work plus Gage said you already signed the contract". Sometimes I don't do the best job in turning the other cheek. To that end, my response was "First of all, good afternoon. Second, the contract wasn't fully executed nor sent back with Gage or anyone else's signature. Third of all, my Bonus Daughter called around 4:30P she was told by the Hostess that there was plenty of tables in the main dining room for a party of 10 at 6P." My cheek turned partially. Not to further the mixing of the words, the manager then stated she needed to print out the Prix Fixe menus. That & with the private dining room not being set up agitated me further. Quick Note: *The private dining room is located upstairs. *Everyone arrived at 5:45P before our 6P reservation. *We were seated for 20 minutes before the table was ready. *Dishes & glasses had to be sent back repeatedly due to being dirty - no fault of Maurice's. *The food was quickly prepared (some entrees undercooked), salty & not adhering to a few of the guest's preparation requests - again, no fault of Maurice's. *The family-style of sides were extremely minimal portions. *To accommodate the V Crew you'll spend $40 to select four sides of Veggies - I opted to eat the salad & french fries & gave the rest of the $90 plate to my Newphew. *While a few guests were still dining some of their food was picked up by a random employee who came upstairs trying to clear the table. *There was no time limit, yet the last 30 minutes or so we all felt rushed. At the end of the day, restaurants have to make money & pay their staff, no quarrels from me on that. However, accommodations for 10 people were doable as we saw empty tables throughout out our three-hour visit. As far as the extra help needed there were Servers kinda of hanging around the station by the patio, so that was a mute point. Overall with the inherent factors it did not equate to our private dining expectations. Maurice's spirit, engagement & service made up for the deficiencies.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, but food portions, most especially the seafood on the salads is ridiculously small. We ordered a salad with lobster and a salad with shrimp. The shrimp were basic and overcooked and the lobster was just a few small pieces. No problem paying top price, but give what you are selling. We have frequented this restaurant often and this has occurred each time. Disappointed.
