Poolside restaurant and bar at The Shay hotel serving food and cocktails with city views.
"Canopy Club is the all-day rooftop spot at The Shay and, as far as hotel pool bars go, it's not bad. Sure, cocktails start at $18, but for a place with sunset views that doesn't get too crowded, this is the best option in the neighborhood. There's a small indoor lounge with squishy leather couches and fireplace, as well as an outdoor patio where you can lounge near a pool that's just slightly larger than a minivan. You'll need a $50 day pass if you want to jump in, but we're content with hanging out under the pink umbrellas and pretending it's Palm Springs. " - nikko duren
"This tropical-themed poolside rooftop restaurant and bar sits atop the Shay Hotel in Culver City, with sweeping views of the city. The food is as breezy as the vibe, including crunchy avocado tacos and koji-marinated hangar steaks to go with pomelo spritzes and banana mai tais. The best part is that it’s open from morning to evening with walk-ins and reservations available." - Eater Staff
"Having a refreshing boozy beverage poolside is one thing. When that beverage is a carafe of pomelo spritzes that can be shared with friends, and the poolside comes with views of downtown Culver City, it’s entirely another. Head to this Palm Springs-inspired restaurant on the rooftop of the Shay Hotel for all of the above, as well as snacks like a crudite board made with local vegetables, or rosemary-dusted fries." - Eater Staff
"Canopy Club is the latest rooftop restaurant in Culver City that no one seems to know about yet. It's on the top floor of the same luxury apartment complex that houses Etta, and it's a great place to eat a shrimp cocktail while sunning in a reclining lounge chair without having to wait in a line first. Canopy Club offers poolside service all day long, but after the sun goes down, you'll find most people dropping in for cocktails and snacks at the bar. This open-air restaurant isn't where you go for a guaranteed scene (at least yet), but it's a fine option for a relatively quiet drink and some healthy-ish dinner bites like a fish sandwich or a grilled chicken bowl. "A full moon in Aquarius is game-changing for you, Scorpio. On August 11th, the moon enters your fourth house of home and family, where you’ll find the strength to protect your peace, draw some boundaries, and relax. You need a place to recharge your battery, and Canopy Club in Culver City is a great place to do just that. It’s a rooftop bar for people who hate rooftop bars, a pleasant poolside restaurant where you’ll eat shrimp cocktail and crispy fish sandwiches while tanning in a lounge chair. Go ahead and put your feet up—you deserve it. " - kat hong
