I am absolutely delighted to share my experience at Canova Hall in Brixton! From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the vibrant atmosphere— a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern design. The cosy, inviting ambience set the stage for a wonderful evening. It was Valentine's Day. The music was great. Now, let's talk about the food! Each dish was a delightful journey for the taste buds. I started with their beautifully crafted antipasti platter, featuring a selection of cured meats and fresh cheeses that were simply divine. For the main course, I indulged in their wood-fired pizza, which had a perfectly crispy crust and a mouthwatering array of toppings. You could tell that everything was made with love and care, using high-quality ingredients. The service was also noteworthy, with attentive staff who were friendly and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work. They offered great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. Whether you’re looking for a casual dinner with friends or a special night out, Canova Hall is the place to be. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their delicious menu. I might revise the number of stars when I go for a proper meal here next time as I only had cappuccino this morning. The venue was aesthetically pleasing with large bright windows. It’s not on the Main Street of Brixton so it was a great option to have coffee while escaping from the bustling of the area. Highly recommended.

Great Bottomless Brunch in Brixton!! Visited here on a Sunday with friends for their bottomless brunch which is £33 per person for unlimited Prosecco and any food you order you pay extra for. When you come here guys be ready to drink because they will keep the bottles flowing and it’s only value for money if you drink up!! You get a bottle of normal Prosecco and a bottle of rosé Prosecco, a bowl of rum punch and different cordials to mix with your Prosecco, which is a very nice touch. Every time you finish a bottle they will bring another bottle to your table. The rum punch was not strong and you barely taste the alcohol so we stuck to the Prosecco. The staff were really attentive and very friendly and helped create the vibe. We ordered pizza and a pasta dish which was very nice. Food tasted fresh and the pizzas really helped soak up the alcohol. The restaurant has an nice environment and a good vibe. Perfect spot to meet up with friends and have a good time.

I recently enjoyed a cosy weekend brunch with a friend at Canova Hall in Brixton. The venue boasts stunning interiors featuring industrial touches and comfortable booth seating. The food was good (although not excellent). We didn't try their pizzas, which are reputed to be their speciality. The atmosphere suggests it's a wonderful spot for large groups or those interested in enjoying drinks.

My husband and I had dinner at Canova Hall. We are vegans and we appreciate that the vegan options are properly labeled on the menu. We had a portion of arancini to share. As for the mains, I had a gnocchi and he had the Vegan Viking pizza. Everything was really really good. Given the high quality of the food, I'd love to see more vegan options on the menu. With a larger variety, I would become a regular for sure. The service was excellent. Very kind staff, we felt welcome there. The venue is also nice.

The food Is amazing, we tried the Arancini, the spicy ragù tagliatelle and the chicken, and loved all three of them. The ambience is cool, relaxed, great option for having lunch alone or just work from there. EDIT: DONT MISS THE DOUGHNUTS!!

I loved it. I came to Canova Hall for dinner on a Sunday night (to avoid the crowd, as it is often packed). The place is really beautiful. Charlie, the waitress, was friendly and competent. I had a delicious pizza and a donought as dessert. The prices are not low, but the quality of the service and food justified them in my opinion. I'll be back.

I loved the overall ambience of the restaurant. It has an old Victorian chr h converted into restaurant feel to it not to mention the washroom is literally in a darkened underground cellar it's total gothic feel to it. Food and service was excellent 👍

I came to Canova for brunch this afternoon and is was delightfully busy. I sat at the bar with my husband and to the left of us was a rather large birthday party, all dressed in odd hats, I suppose as some type of theme. Im disappointed that in a place as diverse and forward thinking as Brixton that I have to write this - but one woman was wearing a Native American headdress, another, a Sombrero, and their male friend had a hat with fake dreadlocks. None of these individuals were either indigenous, Mexican or of African descent. Wearing other people's cultures as a costume is NEVER OKAY. I am curious why these people were allowed to carry about and / or enter into Canova in the first place? Surely if a patron was being disruptive, fighting etc they would be asked to leave, yes? Cultural appropriation and this level of disrespect is just as harmful. It's violent and it's disruptive. I struggled to get through my meal and couldn't wait to leave. Please ask your staff to do better and not allow blatant forms of racism and ignorance to frolic about in your establishment.

A late night visit provided excellent service and delicious pasta and drinks. In fact, we enjoyed ourselves so much that we went back the next day to try another meal. Our first was the Truffle Tagliatelle which I heartily recommend. Delicious subtle flavors, and not so heavy I had to roll myself from the restaurant. The Po' boy's which we tried on our second visit are made from their pizza crust. While they were unlike any Po' boy I'd had before (in truth I thought it was a bit closer to a calzone) they were excellent. The bread chewy and the flavors of cheese and sauce just right to compliment their surroundings. The atmosphere is stellar too, whether inside or out the many tables they offer were pretty full both days of our visit, though the day shift seems to be more about workspace and drinks than food. Still, two really good meals, excellent service both visits. I'd definitely suggest popping in when in the area and giving them a try,

So came back for their bottomless brunch which was £20pp for two hours of frizzante, mimosas and/or rum punch. Our waitress was totally on it and kept our glasses full at all times. We both opted for the pizza. I got the Green Goddess which came with a perfectly cooked crust. My only feedback is that if you're sat at one of their round tables, two pizzas don't fit and you'll be even more hard pressed for space if you have drinks too. Bigger tables please! Those round tables are only fit for purpose if you're just having drinks. That said, we had a great afternoon eating and drinking. It was a very lively, buzzy afternoon. Very fun!

Good food but service was quite slow. Went in on a Saturday afternoon.. was steady but not super busy. Found a spot to sit immediately however the server look a long time to get to me.. walked by a few times.. then I stopped him to ask for a menu. Had to wait a while again to place my order BUT the food did come out in a decent amount of time. After I was done.. I had to wait AGAIN for the waiter/bartender to come back. Ok place.. I guess. But I wouldn't go back... pass!

Great pizza, gluten free or otherwise. Awesome atmosphere, fantastic tables outside. Friendly staff, the waiters might be a bit stretched so you might have to be proactive with them, but no complaints. Have already been twice and plan to go loads more. p.s. please swap out Daura Damm for Celia beer

Brixton has been crying out for a brasserie type place of this kind. I'm a cynic when it comes to places like this however. I instantly think "overpriced food with decor" Canova H isn't cheap but the food wasn't over priced either. Meal was great and the atmosphere is awesome. I will be back. Would really like to be a member too.

Tucked away in Brixton Canova Hall is a great place to stop for drinks and a bite. Their brick oven pizzas are AWESOME! We sat at the bar and the bartenders were friendly and attentive. The place has tons of charm and character! Also bathrooms have really cool sinks with a pedal to turn on the water. Will def visit again!

There was an issue with the service. We were not properly informed about the prices and there was confusion. When I reached out to them by email after paying the bill to inform them of this issue I've been told for 3 weeks that they are extremely busy and cannot answer my email. There are a number of people that have left reviews saying that the price is misleading. In my email I stated a number of ways they could make the pricing clearer but to no avail. I would not recommend this place based on the customer service and the food. Highly disappointed

What is there not to write about Conova Hall? The breakfast was good, the pizza was good, the drinks were good, and the coffee was good! I've never seen a bartender care so much about the drinks he was making. You can tell they put a lot of care into what they put out.
