I almost don't want to let everyone in on the secret, but this place is fantastic on Sunday during happy hour. $5 (usually $9) ritas that are tasty and strong. All the apps are filling and half off. The most recent time I was here the service was incredible! The waiter was super friendly and brought us a free desert at the end of our meal.

This place has really great brunch on Sundays. The brunch buffet has great food and a mimosa is included with it. They're $1 after that. It should be more popular given that its on the same block as Taverna, which is always packed. The atmosphere feels like a hotel restaurant, which might be the problem. Overall good for food and drinking if youre with a fun group, not good for meeting new ppl.

Cantina Laredo is one of the few chain restaurants in Austin that I eat at. Table side guac is awesome as well a the food in general. It is on the high priced side of Mexican food but it's in a really nice area of town and most of the other options are a bit higher priced as well. The bar is really a great place to eat, have a drink, and watch a game as well.

My friend and I went here for a late dinner and we ordered the fajitas. The food was good but the tortillas were not up to par. They seemed like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for awhile. Other than that the atmosphere was nice and the food and drinks were good!

I went at a slower time of day. We walked right in and sat at a table near the bar. We were brought menus immediate and was asked if we wanted water. My pregnant friend can not drink but wanted something like looked like a drink because the rest of us were having ritas. The 'drink' she brought out was really good and like a drink. We sat there for 2 drinks and she came around and asked if we needed anything. Location is awesome too!

Cantina Laredo, Gourmet Mexican Food. Actually, it's just Mexican food. Nothing gourmet about this place, except maybe, the price. Service is mediocre, the servings are small, the drinks are good. Food wasn't anything to write home about, if you're looking for good Mexican cuisine you're selling yourself short, tons of better options within 2 miles.

Around my house, Cantina Loredo is the "go-to" place for birthday dinners. The food is consistently great. The service is consistent as well. We love the table-side guacamole and the margaritas. If you come for your birthday, they will bring you a piece of cake with a sparkler in it, which is just adorable. I know you're thinking downtown is a pain in the butt and where will you park, but Cantina Loredo is worth it. You want to come here.

My mango chicken salad, $12, flew out about 4 minutes after I ordered it. Tasty, flavorful, leave-no-leaf behind good, with shredded, easily-dispersed chicken. How many times have you run into a protein-only forkful, and have to make the extra effort to spread it out across bites? No fork reconfiguration here: one stern toss of the ingredients and I had a dish with remarkable potential for perfectly-balanced bites.
