The atmosphere is simply out of this world. When you enter, it feels like a floral fantasy movie. Fantastic service, good food and great drinks. It is an experience.

I had a good experience. Went for my mom's birthday, we had a party of 9, i ordered the birria tacos which that was the best consumé I ever had. The atmosphere was fun!

Loved the unique atmosphere, fun!! My service was excellent, people complain about the chips and salsa but it was fine for me, not the best but it was good my chips didn’t taste stale. I ordered the shrimp tacos, super delicious! Wish it had more shrimp. I definitely have had better refried beans, they tasted like they came out of a can (rosarita’s) and the rice was OK tasted good.

Love the decor. 1st comment is the chips served were on the stale side, everyone at the table agreed. So we left them. Food was served steaming hot and was quite tasty.

Kate was a great server. Food was Luke warm. Salsa was spicy but lacked flavor. Was better when the restaurant was new. Chips were better then too. Included in dinner now. Would rather pay and have better quality like in the beginning. Much of the menu is no longer offered.

The food was just ok, nothing to write home about. The only really EXCELLENT item is the Oxtail queso dip,THAT WAS FIREEEE! The elote was spicy and chorizo made it kind weird taste. The fish taco were ok but were not any different than any other fish taco just basic lacked flavor. I was not impressed but I’m hard to impress because I am a foodie and try a new restaurant every week. My friend said her fajitas were ok. The atmosphere is really cool and the bathroom was fun to use because..well.. you will see! The waitress was very attentive. I think if they tweaked their food flavors then it would be a very great restaurant. Overall 7/10 experience.

We got food to go and ordered chips and Guacamole. We were charged full price and received a total of eight (8) chips! I got home, opened up this chips and literally this is a photos of how many chips were left. Food is actually pretty decent, nothing to really go out of your way for, but definitely tastes good. But I had to give service a 1 Star for selling Chips and Guac like this. I’m writing this as eating the food and kind of amazed that a restaurant would have the balls to send food out like this. Wow.

I visited this restaurant on a Wednesday evening at 6:15pm. It was busy and vibrant with lots of activity. We could not be seated before our entire party had arrived. The decorations are beautiful and the atmosphere is welcoming and festive. Once seated, we had Margaritas which were absolutely delicious!! We also had orders of Carne Asada Tacos, Camarones Diablo Tacos and a Vegan Fajita plate. My Vegan Fajitas were definitely sizzling when they arrived but the taste was very mediocre and I was disappointed that the Vegetable plate was $23 when everything else was $14. Why up charge for a plate of vegetables? The restaurant does get loud as it fills up and they have flashing lights and a lot of visual effects going on. I do recommend this restaurant. The service was great, it has a charming atmosphere and the Margaritas were really delicious!!

So yummy food !!! I highly recommend and great service plus I Appreciate a manager serving great hospitality !!! With a welcoming ambiance !!!

I'm here about 2 to 3 times a month because I love the service and the mahi-mahi. The ambiance is beautiful. But I especially love the hospitality of the Restaurant Manager, she makes me feel welcomed and like family. Her entire staff makes me want to come back more and more. Any time I have friends or family in town, I always make it a point to visit Cantina Tequila. 10/10 recommend!

I just want to say something in regards to the review I saw from Denise G. I grew up in OC and have been in Henderson for almost 2 yrs. Your review about Andrea E. Is completely false. She is a fantastic server and a better person. Sorry you had a bad experience but go fuk yourself and stay in Cali.

My brother took me here on a recent visit to town. It's one of his favorite places to bring out-of-town guests, and it's easy to see why. The vibe is bustling and colorful and fun. The decorations are explosions of color everywhere, while still maintaining a pretty cozy vibe. The bathrooms are wildly themed and a lot of fun, as well. (characters speak to you while you do your business) The food was really solid, leaning far in to the decadent range. The drinks were tasty, as well. Fun options. Service wasn't great, and actually would have had another drink if she'd come back at all, but not enough to take a full star. Fun place, will go back for sure.

Hey guys I don't recommend here if you want good Mexican food, it's a good look alike but not good taste. Now for the service,so I've been here before that's y I have an opinion on the food. But this time tn. my family chose this place bc of the aesthetic, & bc they wanted to try for themselves. Sadly it was a bad experience, they got there before us at 9:20- we arrived 9:31. They were sat immediately, but no one stopped by to say hi or anything it wasn't busy. When she came to take our drink order we asked if she had sparkling lemonade she said yes, then brought us regular lemonade. I nicely ask do they have sparkling lemonade she replied in a smart way I could add soda to it, but that's the best you'll get. ( idky she didn't do that to begin with or just mention we have regular lemonade would u like soda. DO KNOW ITS NOT WHAT U SAY ITS HOW U SAY IT. ) after she left she didn't come back to order for a while. We waited looked around no one stopped by to bring more chips or anything were a hungry party of 6 with one small basket of chips & no one to order with. We decided we didn't like the service since our waitress was in the kitchen most of the time, that we waited so at 10:10 we got up & left. we did order alcohol but didn't drink them bc they were way to sweet. Honestly it was a waste of our time. We don't know if it was bc she knew she would get gratuity on the party or w. Didn't like how she did us communication is key in serving!

Kate was a great server. She was very attentive and friendly. We will be coming back because of her. The food was tasty and perfectly cooked. I had chicken fajitas and my wife had cheese enchiladas and both were delicious. The inside of the restaurant was decorated like a high end strip restaurant. Great detail to the theme and was very inviting. The men's restroom Charro experience was funny and my son loved the interaction with Charo. "Cuchi-cuchi"! Coming from someone in the service industry. Queso (2)/10 way too greasy. 6 bucks for 2 additional pieces of shrimp is a little wild. Served along w elote and guac. BF rates elote i(6)/10, guac 6/10! Came for National Margarita Day! I ordered a Passionfruit Mezcal Margarita (8)/10 ! Pretty much done with our Apps and server hasnt come back to ask us how anything is, refills, Or ordered entrees. hesitant to order entrees due to Yelp Reviews, And service thus far. Sat on the patio, Ambience is 7/10. Im sure it looks better at Night (less exposure). Table cloths super dirty. I feel like I'd like to try the bar next time! No need to order entrees! CHECK PLS ‍

Mexican restaurant with Vegas flair. Awesome and over the top interior. Stiff drinks, with lots of one of a kind cocktails. Friendly staff and pretty great food. Menu is little bit on a smaller side which is the only down side here. Fajitas are easily large enough for two people. Ice cream with churros is amazing and a wonderful surprise.... And don't forget to get a margarita!

I would not get tooooooo caught up with having this at the top of your bucket list. From a fellow Mexican to anyone curious about this place.... It is good! But could you go somewhere else and receive better, more authentic Mexican food... yes. I would go for the tequila selections, as they have very "hard to find" bottles that typically are privately allocated. If you have never had mezcal... do not order it as it may be harsh on the palate for first timers. Yes you will finish it because you paid almost 20$ for it, but you'll most likely not be a fan. It tasted like burnt BBQ sauce. Overall, the food was very mid. The shrimp tacos were a solid 6.4/10 and the beans and rice tasted microwaved. I will say, the green salsa (extra 3$) and the guacamole were fire! Give it a try, but expect a 150-180$ check average for a decent time. I got the Mexican mule... which was really fresh and the favorite at the table when compared to the: - peach margarita - pepino refrescante - piña verde

Had reservations so we could get dinner before a game. The hostess was very friendly and efficient. We were seat at a table that we didn't like and were taken to a booth. The noise level is a little louder than I like, but not horrible. The waitress was very nice and did a great job. The food was good, the chips were too salty for me. Cool decorations.

We stopped after working an event in the area on a Saturday night. The entire place was packed! There was a small wait for a table, so we grabbed a drink at the bar while we waited. Both margaritas were delicious! The bartender was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. Once we were seated there was a bit of a wait before our waitress came to take our order. Thankfully, we weren't in a rush or dying of hunger so we weren't bothered by the wait time. We decided to split an order of tacos, and they were phenomenal. The entire restaurant had so much decor and animatronics throughout that we spent the majority of the meal admiring all there was to see.

As you walk up the music is inviting. The host was cheerful and got us pumped up with a "vibe". Crystal our amazing server was just as vibrant keeping the vibe going throughout our meal. Definitely a must to cone back to.

If it was possible to give 10 stars I would!!! The look of this restaurant was everything and more. You would not expect it to look as it does from the outside it is truly breathtaking. The food was very authentic and delicious and oh boy the drinks were made to perfection. The vibe was everything and the service was top tier. Will definitely be back

I am not a fan of writing negative reviews but I'm extremely disappointed in my visit today. I have been waiting to try this place and finally had an opportunity today, 12/16. When I walked in , it was so beautifully decorated I couldn't wait to see more. While the food was fantastic our service was not up to the price we just paid. Rob had a lot going on with various tables he was managing but he failed to manage service for us. My Diet Coke I ordered remained empty my entire meal. I finished it with shortly after my meal arrived . I was never offered a refill. Other tables had a water glass to refill their own water. We were never given one. So I had no beverage during my meal which isn't ideal when eating. We finished eating and waited five minutes for Rob to come back to find out we were done. For the size of the restaurant , I don't feel my service would have been like this. We ordered shrimp nachos and steak fajitas. The nachos were amazing. Highly recommend those. The steak was very chewy with the fajitas but overall loved the food flavor. No complaints here. For $65 (Diet Coke, margarita and two meals) I will not return solely based on service received. It's a small restaurant and definitely felt ignored.

FIRST time here after some years of trying to get here for so long and made it to celebrate my little sister's birthday! Our waiter, Rob surely didn't disappoint with his attentiveness and enthusiasm to serve us above & beyond! He gave us his best recommendations for our meals with the food coming out so quickly. He made sure to celebrate my little sister to the fullest which I truly appreciated! The food was hot and delicious with full of flavor! I love every moment from the decor to food to customer service I truly have no complaints to give on Cantina Tequila. I can see whether you're in a small to big group of family or friends this is the place to come to whenever you're in the Green Valley Ranch area within Henderson! I would HIGHLY suggest making a reservation whenever you decide to come to Cantina Tequila. I made reservations on a Sunday night and it was a busy night so you'd beat the crowd if you make a reservation so I'm glad I did just that! 10/10 across the board when it comes to food, drinks, and atmosphere! Service was pretty reasonable taking in consideration how packed they were. The food and drinks were not to die for. Prices aren't reasonable. You pay for scenery.

Its a new age/witchcraft lab... prayed a Full st Michael the Arcangel while I was in. Nothing great about it.food is ok,you get 8oz margarita for $12/14. Our server hardly checked on our party.

Such a cute restaurant! A little weird in the bathrooms and with the talking statues, reminded us of pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland, but was overall a fun vibe! The drinks were very strong, which is always great when it's $20 a drink. I ordered a burrito and asked for sauce on the side, however the put the sauce ontop. It was just an ok burrito. My friends got tacos which were much smaller than I expected, definitely street taco sized. For 2 drinks, 1 burrito and a tip it was $75.00, which in my opinion was not worth the price. Cute and fun place, worth checking out atleast!

This is a cool spot to grab giant margaritas with your friends! Made a reservation on OpenTable for a Friday night and it was packed so we ended up sitting outside with the misters thankfully on a hot 110F day. The food menu is pretty straightforward with your classic Mexican food and salads. Their drink menu is huge with over 200 tequilas! They even brought out complimentary chips and 2 salsas for the table. Food: - Fajitas with chicken: this seems to be the value meal as it came with a lot more food compared to my friends, it came out sizzling and perfect with additional sides of beans and rice and guacamole Drinks: Watermelon Margarita with sugar rim: super refreshing and came in a large glass Tamarind margarita with tajin rim: nice and spicy if you're looking for an alternative to a sweet drink

Cantina Tequila is perfect place for a date night or girls night out. This restaurant is so sexy and has beautiful vibe, it is a bright star in Henderson! The food is flavor packed and plated so well. Oh, and if you're a fan of Pedro Pascal, you're really gonna love some of the features they have in the bathroom! Lol Their doors open at 4:30 pm and we arrived shortly thereafter. We were immediately greeted by friendly staff and the smell of delicious food from the kitchen. The main dining area is a feast for the eyes We were immediately served complimentary chips/salsa. I always say the salsa can tell you can tell a lot about a restaurant, and their salsa was on point! When it came time to order drinks we were informed that they DO NOT have Happy Hour, but it's all good! The Pretty-Fly-for-a-cacti already had my eye. Every dish we ordered was delicious and fresh. My favorite was the tuna tartar! The ambiance was just as vibrant as the food and I can't wait to bring my friends when they come to town to visit!

Came here for a girls night with my friend! The decor is super cute and aesthetically pleasing for pics. The music is quite loud & it's pretty dark inside but I got used to it. Our waiter was attentive and gave us great suggestions on what to order, as it was our first time. We both ordered mango margaritas and shared the elote, queso fundido w/ shrimp, and queso birria tacos. The margaritas were delicious! I also really enjoyed the elote and queso fundido. The birria tacos were decent but I definitely had better. We also got a free dessert, which was super awesome! Something to note though, the water tasted salty, which was very weird. Overall though, I would come back again!

Calling you speak to an AI.. not an actual person.. When making a reservation, they hold your card info - $5 per person for the reservation. I've been too many places and have never had to do that, so it gave me a sour taste. (*Reservation fee posted to my account when my party was present, sent email to resolve issue to no avail, claims the charge doesn't show on their end.. avoid placing any card on file*) Speaking of sour taste, the water they served tasted like toilet water. Not even a lemon could save the water it was soooooo gross! All three of us agreed & there is no bottled water option available, but there should be. The food was decent. The presentation was colorful, I enjoyed the green sauce & pickled onions. Price was reasonable for 3 people with drinks & dessert. Staff was friendly and as attentive as they could be with volume, we did think an order was forgotten, but it came eventually. Honestly, If you're looking for some cute pictures, then this is definitely the place because it's a vibe! Beautiful, fun, and festive! 5 stars for decor! Even the bathroom was picture worthy, but other than that, there are more flavourful options out there.

I took my family from California yesterday, to eat at Cantina tequila , and mind you it was my first time eating there. A big party. The service was awful!!! We had Andrea E our waitress and her attitude was very unacceptable!!!. She kept rolling her eyes at us while we were asking her a question about getting two separate checks. she was being so rude to us while we ordered our food. She never once check on us after giving us our food. We needed more water and drinks and it was hard to flag her down because she was a no show. The only time we saw is when she delivered our checks no smile no thank you nothing very upset upsetting We had a gratuity tip of $15.00 added to our total receipt and what!!! she didn't Deserve that tip!!! Not cool to give me a choice of how much I wanted to tip her.. our big party was very disappointed We ask foe separate checks they automatic add the tip to your total and if she was nice and gave us good service I would have gladly tip that. She gave me attitude for asking for a copy of my receipt. No smile at all from her or a pleasant visit. Avoid sitting at Andrea E table The food was ok. I had better

My friend invited me to this restaurant for my first visit. She knew from experience to make a reservation. Even at 4:30 pm opening on a Sunday there was a line of people waiting for tables. The restaurant has a cool vibe with fabric roses everywhere, nice booths, tables, and colorful lighting. We got seated promptly. Our food server was excellent. She brought us a carafe of water, chips and two salsas, and menus. Asked if it was our first visit. Then returned shortly to take our order. I got the Cadillac margarita which was delicious and my friend wanted a fruit flavor they were out of so she decided to try Blackberry Margarita. She said it was good. I ordered the chili relleno and she got shrimp ceviche and a quesadilla. Food wait was reasonable. My dish wasn't hot enough but the flavors were okay. I thought the rice and beans were bland. Chips were fair. My friend said her food was excellent. I'll definitely be back to try other things. I enjoyed their music playlist, the changing lights, the service, and the vibe. Fun place and prices pretty standard.

DTF!!!!!! This place is great. Your visual and auditory senses will be overloaded from the second you walk in the door. There is a wait so make a reservation if you know you are going. This is a tiny place so give them a break they can only cycle out so fast. We were taken aback when they offered patio seating while it was still 110 out. I pity the server tending those tables. We spent our 30 or so minutes looking through all the stuff, including the 2 cars behind the bar that doing a bounce off. The drinks have plenty of alcohol as we watched them being made while waiting. I would venture to say they have the largest tequila selection in town. Chili relleno was not soggy and was pipping hot . Daughter ordered nachos and they are ginormous and could feed multiple people. Elotes were a tad spicy if you are sensitive. You start off with chips and a reg and green salsa. The chips were kinda hard and are the same ones in the nachos. The salsas were really good though. Abuella was broken, but you'll have to go yourself to see what that means. Walter looks over you while eating and you HAVE to visit the restroom

Was waiting for our dinner reservation so my boyfriend and i decided to go to their bar to get some drinks and it was so cool! The outside patio is the cutest thing ever. The bartenders were also really nice! Would definitely go again.

The food was good, service was better. Ian, the bartender was fantastic and really made our visit memorable. We were able to enjoy our drinks, with a fun ambiance, and good drinks. However, when my friend was done with his meal, his dirty plates sat in front of him for almost an hour, despite us pushing them out of the way. Also, I was hesitant about this place because my girlfriend told me that she got food poisoning the first time she went, but I wanted to try. I also got food poisoning after I left. I don't know what it is, but I probably won't be back. Something seems off in the kitchen.

The restaurant was absolutely beautiful. But everything else on the other hand.... Idk. The food wasnt really great. Not the most options. Also EXPENSIVE considering portion sizes. Just for a loaded potato, no sides, a burrito, no sides. And just a separate ordered side of corn was around 43$. The burrito was the size of a Taco Bell burrito maybe. The service was well. There was only 1 server and I felt bad cause he seemed to really be trying his best, but just couldn't really get around to everything and everyone. I heard a lot of the tables around me complaining about the food, tortillas hard from one table, and another table causing a scene because they didn't get the drink size they thought they were going to get. I hate to say it but the place was a beautiful wreck in a way. Also saw them prepping tables with glasses of water and a water bottle for refills, but I didn't get a bottle for water refills nor did I ever get a refill in general. I'd say it's asthetically pleasing but that's about it

So happy we finally got to try this spot out & on Cinco De Mayo nonetheless! When we arrived as a walk-in, we chose to sit outside on their beautifully decorated patio near the DJ (just had to deal with the wind). Otherwise, it would've been about a 45min wait. Got there just in time for the pineapple tequila shot they were passing out at the 11th min of the hour. Loved the unique seasoning they used on their tortilla chips to go with the green and red salsas as we waited for our order. Tacos were priced at $2 for Cinco De Mayo, which is a steal. I enjoyed the tenderness of the birria taco meat but felt the seasoning wasn't quite rich in flavor. The carnitas were super juicy though. Was not a fan of the shrimp taco as the shrimp were very small and overcooked. Drinks were delicious though! Loved my mango chili collins - super refreshing and sweet. Pina verde - a twist on a pina colada except with cucumber! Overall, very fun vibes and beautiful restaurant with great drinks. Tacos overall I'd say were standard but I wouldn't want to necessarily pay full price for them.

Had a great time here celebrating my wife's birthday! We had stopped in one time before and there was a long wait for a table, which we decided we'd make a reservation and try again later. I'm glad that we did because it was such a good time. If you don't like loud music and a more upbeat environment, this spot is not for you. It's definitely a build up to a night out versus being a quiet date spot. Very cool decor though and a great atmosphere if that's what you're looking for. We had a great time. The chips and salsa were a good start to the meal. Slightly seasoned chips and a good spice level on the salsa meant we had finished a basket before the food was there. We also had the elote appetizer and it was really good! She had the filet fajitas which was a good portion and came with rice and beans as well as sour cream, guacamole and more salsa. I had fried shrimp tacos which were really tasty. A little lacking on the amount of shrimp, but the price was pretty fair. I'd gladly pay a few extra dollars for a little more shrimp in the tacos but the flavor was on point. To drink I ended up getting the prickly pear margarita, and it was so good I just had a second even though there were a bunch of other flavors. Service throughout the meal was good, and he made sure to check on us throughout the meal. Overall a fun experience. Since it's busy it's not an easy place to just pop in, especially on weekends so a little planning will help to have a good time!

First time here and I love this place! The decor is excellent. So cute. Pink everywhere and definitely look at all the walls everywhere. Even in both of the bathrooms! And it's funny what is said in the bathrooms so check it out. Not only was the food amazing but the service was excellent and the bartender, Ian, was HILARIOUS! Made the dinner experience at the bar fun! We had the barria tacos and the cheese enchiladas and both were amazing. Margarita and virgin margarita delicious and we even got a shot called mexican candy which was so bomb! I want more! It was sweet but not too sweet and strong but not too strong so a good mix between the two and they said it was made of practically everything so that makes sense! So good and I can't wait to come back here!

Well.... this place has actually gone downhill in a short period of time since it opened! The overall cleanliness is poor. Food crusted on the edges of tables, stains on menus, and hard water buildup on the underside of Margarita mugs because they don't wipe them after running through the glass washer! The food isn't bad, but isn't great. The fish tacos had about one ounce of Mahi Mahi in each one. The beans are not tasty. Our server Erich seemed to not really want to be there today. Too bad they spent more attention on decor than on service and quality details. But hey it's a very instagramable place right?!??

Thanks TikTok! After seeing so many videos we had to finally try it. Right when you walk in you're impressed because the decor is so fun and literally covers every inch of the restaurant. The food was great. We ordered chicken tinga nachos and the surf n turf bowl to share... just a heads up their portions are enormous. It was all really good. No complaints at all. The steak was really good. The shrimp was perfectly seasoned and cooked. I ate my weight in nachos that night because I couldn't stop eating them. The only reason I took off a star was because the server was super slow and absent. I don't think it was an overall server problem because we noticed the other ladies moving while every time we saw ours she was looking like she was lost and just slow, but she was nice. Other than that.. great experience.

Like everyone else I have been seeing this place on social media so I had to finally check it out. The vibes inside are fer sure there! Love all the decorations, lights, music and overall aesthetic. And, our server was great, she was super attentive to our table of 4. We started with the complimentary chips and salsa, the queso fundido, and elote. The elote was bomb, had such a great flavor and I loved the chorizo in it. I want all elote with chorizo now. The queso fundido wasn't your typical but I enjoyed the flavor. I had the smokey pina verda as my cocktail, which was not my favorite...very heavy on the cucumber and I felt like the mezcal was watered down for my liking. For my main I order the barbacoa enchiladas. Honestly I really was not a fan, the tortillas were too thick, the sauce had barley any flavor, but I did enjoy the rice. Overall it was a good time and I would go back and just order something else.

Kylie R is a rude waitress. She tossed chips across the table. As well as our receipt when it was time to go. Made snarky remarks when ordering food. She automatically added herself a 20% gratuity. Which should automatically only be applied when it's a party of 8 or more per the fine print on the menu. Kylie R remember money comes and goes but integrity last a lifetime. Please review your tab before paying. It's sad to come across places where workers don't have integrity. We visit the area twice a year and always look forward to trying new places. Will definitely not recommend this place nor come back.

Service & Ambiance: This place is definitely a fun vibe! The decor is super cool and great for some instagram pics. Service was really good, our waitress was really nice and actively checked on us! I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time because even for a Monday night it was busy! Food & Drinks: We started with the elote and queso fundido. The slote was some of the beat I have had. The queso was good, but the elote stoled the show. For dinner I had a carne asada burrito and it was huge!!!!! I only could finish half (also because I filled up on chips and salsa). As far as drinks, I stuck with a basic white wine, but my friends took advantage of their variety of margarita flavors and said they were really good. Overall, I had a good experience and would come back here!

Atmosphere was fun and trendy but the food is just ok. Some items were too plain no flavor and some were too salty. The refried beans were horrible, came out super hard and wasn't able to eat it. They do have great cocktails but need to reassess their food. Not authentic Mexican food.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Cantina Tequila. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The food was not only delicious but served promptly. The ambiance was just right, with music adding to the vibrant vibe of the place. Pro tip: Make a reservation online to breeze past any waiting time upon arrival - it's worth it! Okayyyyyyyyy!!! This place was absolutely incredible. We walk in and we were blown away. The detail and hospitality was unreal! The hostesses with the mostest were so helpful and helped make our welcoming even better! Our server was a trip! Definitely good in sales!! She waited on us hand and foot! And the food....excuse me?!?! How can you even compare! The flavors were out of this world!!! The presentation was beautiful. I can say this will definitely be one of our favorite places!!

Came here on a Friday night for a surprise birthday dinner. My boyfriend made reservations and had a couple of my friends meet us there. He had a deposit down on the table however, the manager wouldn't let the guests sit because half our party wasn't there. You have the card and deposit so if we didn't show up, charge it. But whatever. Our server was Andrea and she was AWESOME!! She was attentive, explained the menu, gave great suggestions on food and drinks. I got the spicy watermelon margarita and it was DELICIOUS! And Shots of tequila of course Food wise we had the nachos as an appetizer and they were piled high with lots of cheese, beans and meat for all of the chips. Dinner I had the chicken enchiladas and he had the fish tacos. Again, food was on point and nothing to complain about. Andrea kept the drinks flowing, few rounds of tequila shots and an amazing ginormous churro ice cream dessert to share. Great experience, great atmosphere, great company. Only thing I can say was a negative was the manager, it's like he was trying to rush us out of there. He kept staring at our table like we were taking too long. We were not chit chatting at any point without ordering something or waiting for food or a drink. We had reservations for a surprise but it couldn't be a surprise because he wouldn't let the guests sit then was staring at our table like we were taking too long. With that atmosphere and 6 guests, 3 drinks each, our appetizer, main entrees, and dessert we were done in a little under 2hrs.

Cantina Tequila is one of the most unique dining and drinking establishments we have ever visited. We were not surprised at CT's ambiance, as being avid Yelp review readers, we knew what to expect. However, photos don't always tell the full and accurate story. It was hard to believe this used to be a Skinny Fats. We sat at the bar and grabbed a couple of their specialty cocktails. My wife had the Purepecha, similar to a Pina Colada. It was nicely garnished and had a great flavor. I had the Negroni, a liqueur I rarely see on a menu. With a touch of tequila also in it, I really liked it. In reading CT's Yelp reviews, many people commented about the outstanding service they experienced. We did, too, from our bartender, "Dom". Besides being friendly, she explained anything and everything we felt we needed to know. This is the mark of expert management. Kudos to the people in charge! Foodwise, we started with guacamole, salsa, and chips. The guac was exceptional. My wife isn't a big fan of onions, and unfortunately, there were several long onion pieces on the top of the guac. It just made it a little difficult for her to eat. We had a red and green salsa, with red being just a shade too spicy and green just fine. Maybe if I had been drinking beer, the red sauce would be my first choice. Our entrees were top-notch! My wife's fish tacos were crispy and quite tasty. She never eats refried beans and rice, but surprisingly, this time, she did, stating how good they both were. I had the chicken tinga burrito. To say that it was big is an understatement. I enjoyed it but I wish it would have had some more onions or tomatoes in it, I didn't notice the house cheese blend that was in it, but it was full of chicken tinga with a slight smoky taste to it that I really liked. I wish I had it smothered in queso, but it did have a sour cream drizzle on top. My wife tried one more cocktail, a guava margarita. It was so good I ordered a regular margarita. After not receiving my drink, I mentioned it to Dom. She had gotten busy taking care of the service bar that she had forgotten my drink. She was very apologetic and pleasantly surprised us by comping my cocktail. We were impressed! We like that the bar area is for eating and drinking and not playing video poker. We received extraordinary service overall, with our food coming out quickly. As mentioned, the decor is amazing. In the bar area, there is a unique piece of wall art consisting of two lowrider model cars running into each other. I have to say the prices are very reasonable. Match that with great service and food, and we'll be back! After all, we need to discover the decor in the dining room!

I do not like leaving negative reviews and I had high hopes for this place given it's prime location, however, what is going on here is not okay. The decor - This is for sure the highlight of the whole place. Fun, eclectic, Mexican and Latin nostalgia all over the place. Special shout out to the oversized Walter Mercado. The service - Our waitress was friendly enough but was not able to accommodate some very simple requests (ie. Getting different meats in a taco trio, swapping out the meat choice in the quesadilla) although this was more likely a management / POS system issue, the lack of flexibility was not great. This is not fine dining by any stretch so substitutions should possible. The worst part however was that our waitress had no clue as to which tequilas they offered. The place is literally called Cantina Tequila... There was also no list of the tequilas and when I asked for 2 specific brand by name the waitress informed me that they didn't have those. The food - This is the part that needs the most improvement. The rice and beans were not passable, tasted like absolutely nothing and like they were reheated. The rice was dry and bland and the beans had the flavor and texture of cement. This is a Mexican place, let's have some respect for the basics. Chicken meat in the tacos was good but not enough to make up for the disappointing sides. This place has so much potential but after tasting the food, it felt more like a gimmick than real restaurant.

Had an amazing time at Cantina Tequila! The food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was great. Crystal, our server, was super friendly and attentive. Definitely coming back!

Super dope spot! The best ambiance I've ever seen! So festive and colorful. Food is amazing, especially the fajitas and the enchiladas. Also great desserts. Service always friendly. Don't forget to Check out the donkey on the patio! Enjoy!!
