We really enjoyed this place! We went for happy hour, and although the happy hour mixed drinks are of limitated variety, the mixed drink I had and beer my husband had were great. I had the Brussels Sprouts with goat cheese and the portion was small but filling, and delicious. My husband had a pizza (which was half price because of happy hour) and he said the pizza was very good. The hostess was one of the sweetest, friendliest people we have met so far in Austin. We will definitely be going back here!

The red sauce in the pizza here is incredibly rich, it would be worth it to have an entire pizza with just that sauce. The chef's bread is always different, but always a great choice, too. They have a great happy hour although the place is already relatively inexpensive.

The feeling as we sat down on the patio was promising: uplifted, relatively quiet (music-free, thank you!), and relaxed. Seemed like a perfect place for dinner at the end of the week. As it turned out, that was the best part. The food, while not terrible, wasn't great. Chicken was overcooked and its side dish bland, flavors in the bucatini nero didn't come together, hummus was alright but nothing to write home about...the only positive was the octopus, which was perfectly cooked in the appetizer we ordered, though its accompaniments didn't augment the dish. As far as drinks, I can't really say as mine didn't arrive. This was probably the only real mistake from our server, though the table-side manner felt like a long series of discomforts. As for the wine list, as a bit of a wine geek, it's unexciting, though there are some good ones. Last, their valet service parks cars in the handicap parking spots, which isn't cool and is probably illegal.

So yummy we can't decide on a favorite dish -- starting with the fried goat cheese and the shishito peppers was a great idea. Loved the salmon entree and the salted caramel sundaes Excellent service and a quiet cozy atmosphere made for a wonderful dining experience.

A new place to work into the brunch rotation. The fried goat cheese was a great starter and my benedict was perfect. Portion sizes are reasonable but not ample. Great place and a good value overall!

We’ve really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service at Cantine. Sitting at the bar is our preferred option for lunch, but then again it’s our preferred location for every meal out :) Surprisingly our favor dish is the head of cauliflower, it’s delicious, as are the Brussel sprouts, which we consider the benchmark test of a good kitchen. The hummus and pita dip doesn’t last very long so that says something and all of the pizza’s are first-class. We would definitely recommend for lunch or dinner.

Nice atmosphere, not crowded at all for Sunday brunch. I just thought it was overpriced and I wish the menu had more veggie items. $12 for avocado egg toast was a bit excessive in my mind.

Very cute Italian wine bar in the heart of South Lamar. The atmosphere is romantic with a great wine and cocktail menu. The lamb burger was delicious. They also offer free valet parking.
