The Best Îles-de-la-Madeleine Restaurants - Eater Montreal

"You’ll have to drive up to Grosse-Île to get here, but this no-frills fish shack does arguably the best lobster roll on the islands, which also happens to be one of the cheapest at $10. The canteen can also dish out a mean lobster poutine, seafood chowder, and fish and chips. Graciously, no reservations are required for this one." - Joel Balsam

Absolutely the best lobster roll I have ever had! And the view was perfect while eating outside.

Looked around for options on the tip of the island for a lobster roll and chowder and fell upon this place! Only outdoor seating so keep that in mind, we went when it was raining so we ordered at the counter and ate in the car. The chowder and lobster roll were fresh and crisp, delicious flavours. Worth the drive! I love the view of the port right in front and the staff is very nice. It does take a bit of time to receive the order but nothing too crazy. Because of the rain they weren't full staff I believe, but that also means no line!

Maybe we were unlucky? We had the Lobster rolls which were very good but not above others se taste elsewhere.... but the fried scallops were subpar . They were very small, we could detect they were fresh but they tasted fried batter in old oil that was there for a few days ... Man I really wanted to like this place. I’ll have to come back and try other things

Not my big recommendation but if you're hungry and like seafood. Try it

Very small seafood restaurant with superb fish and chips and petoncle. Service is well worth the wait. Fantastic beach across from the wharf with plenty of parking but the beach goes on for kilometres.

The Fish Shack is the Best!! I had the seafood platter and a lobster roll to have a taste of everything and I got my monies worth. Fresh food and very tasty!! I couldn’t be fast enough to take pictures… sorry. All in all I would give this restaurant a 10 STARS!!
