"South African steakhouse Cape Dutch, owned by Justin Anthony and True Story Brands, closes after four years on Cheshire Bridge Road on Saturday, January 25. The restaurant group plans to reopen Cape Dutch in a new Buckhead location later this year. The restaurant opened on Cheshire Bridge in late 2015, following the closure of Woodfire Grill earlier that spring after 13 years there. Cape Dutch focuses its menu on wood-fired grilled South African braai dishes like steak, whole fish, and chicken as well as biltong (jerky). Executive chef Philippe Haddad intends to continue providing the Cape Dutch menu via the restaurant group’s catering branch." - Beth McKibben

Chill vibe and superb food. The chef is amazing and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Great wine selection, cocktails, and South African barbeque. The decor is classy and chic. I will be coming back.

Chef Philippe Haddad has taken the menu to another level. The presentation and quality of the dishes are Michelin star worthy. The décor of the restaurant and service are outstanding. Well worthy of a visit. Fine dining.

Valet wrecked my car and tried to cover it up. Have spent 2 months on trying to get it repaired ($2500+ in damages) and they have gone silent. Called the police and having my insurance deal with it. Sad, we ate there once or twice a week. Why should I have to waste so much time for something they clearly did? This shows you a lot about a business and we will no longer be a patrons. Do the math, $150-180 a visit...gone.

Excellent cocktails and a great atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The food, however, was not really to my liking. The veal I ordered was cooked well done and very tough. But, the vegetarian ravioli my wife ordered was absolutely delicious.

This place was fantastic. From the service to the food, it was a wonderful experience. My boyfriend and I came for date night, and started with a LOADED charcuterie board. It could've been a meal in itself. We also ordered a bottle of the SA Shiraz, which was delicious. After that we both had the Perri Perri steak. Cooked exactly like we asked, and just so juicy. He had to finish mine because I couldn't! Our server was helpful, knowledgeable, and efficient. Super service! Definitely recommend for a high end date night.

Went here for a drug rep dinner for work. The service was awesome and the house wine too. I ordered the Lobster Risotto and it was delicious. The environment is with dim lights and cozy corners. Drinks are also good quality. Would go back.
