I was a customer with capital one for many years, until they froze my life savings for a second time without warning. I was stuck on the phone for hours and got juggled around between tens of people who wouldn't tell me what was going on. Capital One told me that I might not be able to access any of my money again. Effectively, they were threatening to steal tens of thousands of dollars. I missed a rent payment because all of my money was frozen and they wouldnt give me access to it. I guess that's how they show their power. Turns out, I transferred funds from one of Capital One's competitor banks, and they didn't like that. So I guess they admit they try to squash the competition by freezing your funds! It feels like that should be illegal!
