I recently had the chance to visit the Capitol One Landing Lounge at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), the experience actually was above my expectations of how I thought it would be. Ambience & Design: The lounge offers a newly renovated, vibrant design with an open and spacious feel. Despite arriving around 1 PM, it wasn’t chaotic at all—creating a good vibe to relax prior to my flight. My significant other and I spent about 2.5 hours there total. Reservations weren’t required during our visit, though the app suggests making one (Typically booked up days/weeks in advanced) Food & Beverage: The highlight of the lounge was definitely the food and drink experience. The walk-through area featured a good amount of tapas, all prepared with attention to detail and for presentation. The à la carte menu was a complete shocker- surprisingly top-tier!! Better than a majority, if not all of the food we had in DC during our trip. I had multiple rounds of the carne asada beef, chicken brochette, and shrimp dishes, all of which were freshly prepared and brought to our table in under five minutes. Every plate was flavorful and of high quality and pleasing to the palate. The standout, though, was the flan—which my girlfriend, who is Spanish, called the best she’s ever had. The bar also didn’t disappoint. Beyond standard offerings, they featured premium options like Grey Goose and Tito’s, giving the experience a premium touch. Service: The servers were incredibly attentive without being overbearing, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Their attentiveness added to the overall relaxed and elevated vibe of the lounge. Amenities: High-speed Wi-Fi, plenty of charging stations, and designated places for luggage, the lounge perfectly balanced comfort and functionality. Final Thoughts: The Capitol One Landing Lounge at DCA delivered a five-star experience. From the top-quality food to the premium drinks and attentive service, Chef Andrés and his team created a space that feels both luxurious and welcoming. This visit set a high bar, and we’ll definitely return next time we fly through DCA.

Service was really outstanding. It was one of those elevated experiences that made me actually act nicer than I typically am! Food was great. And while this is supposed to be a grab and go concept, I was happily surprised that there were some good places to sit. My only feedback is that the comfy chairs are weirdly paired with high tables. It kind of made me feel like Ruprecht from Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Whether it was that inspiration or the height difference, I ended up clumsily spilling my drink.

I arrived here with a weekday noon flight that got delayed, so ended up staying for a bit longer. There seems to be room for walk-ins around this time when the airport is less busy, and it seems the switchover from breakfast to the lunch/dinner is around 11:30 or so. The food was very tasty, and the members of the staff were very friendly and attentive. The lights over the sink in the bathroom are a bit dim so it's probably not a great place to touch up makeup, but overall a very nice experience.

Google
This place is such a special treat. Been for both breakfast and lunch. I will say the lunch/dinner menu has more offerings, but I loved everything on the breakfast menu with plenty of variety. Service is always amazing, thank you all so much for such a special experience! I made a reservation about two weeks ahead of time in the Capital One app, but. I know they accept walk ins as well. Can’t wait to come back!

Google
Excellent and unique lounge experience. I’ve been excited to visit since I learned they partnered with one of the best and most generous chefs, José Andrés. They seat you like it’s a restaurant and you can order hot food and drinks through a QR code system and they have cold tapas on a bar to grab. I have been to other lounges where they have everything buffet style and I really appreciate this model here because I imagine it eliminates a lot of food waste. Everything was delicious and great service. It was not too busy for breakfast at 9am on a Sunday.

Google
Best Lounge at airport,! Very good and helpful customer service, wonderful choice of music, fresh food, very clean. Nice design. You would enjoy relaxing time before your flight!

Google
Had no idea it just opened yesterday but I guess just got lucky! I came today as a venture X cardholder and brought a guest (1 free guest) with me. It felt like kind of a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience visiting this place. I have honestly never been in a dining situation quite like this. Every single item was absolutely delicious, not to mention the amazing service. It felt like I was eating at a Michelin star restaurant even though I have never been to one!! Everything went above and beyond. I was expecting just a regular lounge type of experience but this was exceptional. It was truly the first time I felt like a premium cardholder because of the way they treated us so well. I hope they open more capital one landings in other airports because this is definitely top tier!

Google
By far the best airport lounge I’ve been to in the US. The food is, without exaggeration, restaurant quality. The decor and ambiance is refined. And the service is friendly and attentive. The highlights: carne asada, eggplant and tofu donburi, the charcuterie plate, Caesar salad, basque cheesecake, and the soft serve for dessert. The food comes out fast (<10 min) and it wasn’t too crowded. But once word gets out about this place I fully expect it to be overrun like all the other credit card lounges. There are few things I would come to the airport early for. This lounge is one of them. Get in while you can.

Yelp
Did have to wait as there were so many flights being delayed and cancelled while I was waiting, but the staff was clear, friendly and quick. I'd barely placed my first order when I was served. Honestly don't know how they did it that quickly! Shrimp, zucchini, steak, bikini, drinks - all great! Restroom could use a little more attention (smelled of urine), but they were slammed, so as long as it's a today issue, I won't hold it against them. Definitely a great deal if you're a Venture X card holder.

Yelp
This lounge is a great example of it should be done. Capital One is paving the way for excellent food, excellent service, and great atmosphere. To start, it is beautifully designed in a spacious setting with tons of seating and a great view of the outside airport. Being part of the José Andrés group, this Spanish-flaired lounge has excellent tapas as well as a menu you can order from via QR codes at your table. All of the food is excellent. There is no bad dish, and service is extremely fast. Stafford, extremely friendly and always willing to help you out. Free alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks are available at any time to order as well. I recommend this lounge for anyone in the area this is easily the best lounge that DCA has.

Yelp
As a frequent traveler, the lounges are, mostly, a space of tranquility and nourishment. The Capital One Lounges are top notch with a whimsically curated menu that doesn't disappoint! The Capital One Landing at DCA is a mini-lounge/restaurant. You can enter for free with the Capital One Venture X card or pay $90 to enter. I walked up with a Southwest Airlines boarding pass. For many who know, there are no assigned seats on Southwest. You need an assigned seat to enter the Capital One Lounges. It took some convincing and fact checking to be let into the lounge. I felt a bit embarrassed during that whole interaction, especially with a line behind me. Anyways, the food is excellent! The menu is refreshing, light, flavorful, and mouthwatering! Everything is small plates style, so you can eat most of the menu if you really wanted to! My favorite has to be the Gambas Al Aljillo! Has some spice, that isn't too overpowering and was perfectly cooked! This is a must visit lounge to recharge for your travels and get some amazing food (bless Jose Andre's' tapas) and a little break from the bustle of DCA. Customer service could be a bit more refined, but I'm here for the food!

Yelp
Yall!!! I need every layover to be at DCA for this lounge. What an amazing experience. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Everything was very clean. The food was delicious. This is a must stop, no if and or buts.

Ailun H.

Yelp
Overall, the food was a 4/5, but the experience is a 5/5 for any Venture X cardholder. It's "free" to enter, so I'm not going to be too picky about the food. There was so much hype regarding the opening of Capital One Landing at DCA since there's really no other Priority Pass lounges here. The lounge is located right before Terminal D, so it's a bit of a walk if you're coming from South Security Checkpoint. I promise it's worth it! I arrived this past Friday morning around 8:15 AM and was seated immediately at the bar. Each seat/table has a QR code you can scan to order food, coffee, alcoholic beverages, etc. Additionally, theres a small area near the bar where you can ask the employee to grab some tapas sized items to enjoy, as well. I enjoyed the avocado toast with tomatoes along with the bagels, lox and cream cheese. I asked the employee for extra lox for my avocado toast, too. The yogurt and fruit was delicious -- a good amount of honey and the texture was so creamy. I ordered pancakes (with olive oil) and fruit on the side which were very fluffy and not too sweet. I also got the scrambled tofu bowl (which comes with seasoned scrambled tofu, avocado, and tomatoes). While I didn't enjoy it myself, it's a decent vegan option. The breakfast options were pretty good -- some hits, some misses. I would think that the non-breakfast options are better (based on my experience at the Capital One lounge at IAD). so I'll be back here for it. There's no free to-go option at the DCA lounge, but get your stomach's worth and stuff your face before you fly out. Solid experience.

Yelp
Vibe: 6/10 - it's small and opens to the airport, but the decor is nice! Service: 3/10 Value: N/A We had many different items and have included some photos in lieu of our typical by-the-dish rating system. Our favorite dishes included the grilled cheese and zucchini dish with yogurt dill sauce. Portions are pretty small, so be prepared to order multiple of this is your dishes if this is your dinner!

Vin P.

Yelp
I went around 7am and it was pretty empty. The hostess gave me a tour of the whole place before guiding me to my table. The place itself looks like and gives vibes of a restaurant. The food was fantastic! Though the portions are small, they were still unlimited, and were all good. The lox salmon was probably my favorite, and I went for two rounds. I was able to relax for about 2 hours there and had a great experience and will be looking forward to coming back next time I fly from DCA.

Yelp
This place was one of my favorite capital one lounges so far. This is the third I've visited and also the smallest. It's restaurant style and because of that, it has a slower paced feel. I like that it didn't feel rushed and chaotic like airport lounges can be. Instead, it was welcoming, the staff was great and friendly, and it felt quite restful. Upon sitting you could order items from the menu. And there were also some a la carte non menu items that you could grab at your leisure. The food was amazing. Best quality food in any airport lounge ever. I was so impressed.

Megan K.

Yelp
I enjoy this spot, as a VentureX cardholder it's great to not only have IAD as a lounge option! I've been twice now, both in the morning. The espresso martini is strong and delicious. I like to sit at the coffee bar for the wonderful service and conversation. The tofu scramble is the best item on the breakfast menu, with the avocado toast and fresh fruit a quick backup! The only issue I have is the fact that there are only 2 bathroom stalls-- both on a hallway where staff have to prep eating ware.

Yelp
Truly a 5- star experience. This is a very new lounge. For capital one credit card members. Come get in free others have a $45 cost. I am unsure of non credit card holders are allowed in. I was not sure about the $45 fee per person at first. However, I quickly realized you get every penny worth of your costs. Service is 5 star. Everyone is attentive, professional and polite. You check in. Which is a very quick process. You need credit card and Boarding pass. (Must be outgoing flight.) Layout is roomy, open and very well designed. It has a spot for your luggage and also stroller parking. Not a big deal, BUT when it gets crowded. It makes alot of sense. The food is VERY GOOD. This is not buffet this is Tapas. The lounge has a get up and grab section for cold items. And also a hot menu. We were there for breakfast. So bagel and lox, Avacado toast, yogurt and parfait etc. the hot menu had egg Benedict, scrambled eggs. My only criticism is the hot food were not very hot, more like room temp. The cocktails were decadent! I ordered 2 cocktails (don't judge, it's socially acceptable to drink at any hour in airports). The Rum & Coconut is a MUST TRY. The the milk punch cocktail is "must try once". Supposedly it's the cocktail Of choice for Ben Franklin. It has milk washed liquor. Which was why I wanted to try. It's good just not my type of cocktail. The coffee is good as well. Ambiance is nice. Very clean cut, open, comfortable temps, very nice lighting. (Not that harsh white lights in DCA). Let's break down the cost for me. Coffee, 2 cocktails, loads of food, a comfortable place to sit and eat, a carton of water (to go). $45 bucks. Not bad. 2 poor quality cocktails at another place in DCA would be $20 each not including tip. The coffee would have been. $6-8. The food. Can't put an accurate price on that. A few things. My wife and I did not finish our coffees, and asked for a Togo cup. They don't offer/provide it. I get it's a high end lounge. But hate wasting coffee. I asked for change for a $20 for a little tip in the table for our servers. It must be cashless. The server did not have it. I can only assume Jose Andres pays a fair/livable wage to his employees. He is a very generous and conscientious person for all the charity work he does around the world) I highly recommend this place. Get to DCA early and enjoy some high quality food and excellent service. This is my second time here. Make sure you try to book 1 month out. Or get on the waitlist via their app.

Yelp
Totally awesome lounge. Amazing tapas style bites. Fantastic service. And I can't believe I forgot the name and story...the waiter convinced me to try their famous historic drink with a whole story behind it. Perhaps I indulged in too many?

Tabitha W.

Yelp
Fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic ambiance! Once you're inside, it no longer feels like an airport. The menu is amazing and food came out almost instantly after it was ordered and tasted amazing. DCA became my new favorite airport to fly out of!

Iva S.

Yelp
Besides the $90 price tag, this would be fabulous. If you are a Capital One Venture Card holder, you will get access for free. The food and drinks in the lounge were delicious and well worth it. The plates looked really nice. You can order from the QR code that is on the tables. Great view of planes coming and going. Comfortable seating, not cramped. Decor is modern. Bathroom is spacious and has a baby changing station, which is a godsend for new mothers. Staff is very attentive and helpful. You will be walked to your table and sat, then a staff member will ask you if you'd like still or sparkling water. You have the option to grab a few things from the buffet that is staffed and very friendly. I grabbed multiple items and each one was tasty. Small plates which is perfect for a person who has had gastric bypass and also good for the big eaters alike. For management, just a few items. 1. Recommend adding a few button options, within the ordering menu from the QR code, for sweeteners and straws for coffee /drink selections for guests. Easier for guests and staff. 2. Recommend changing the bacon that is used with the eggs Benedict, which did not taste fresh.

Yelp
I had a fantastic experience at lunchtime on the opening day of the CapitalOne Landing. The service was smooth and I had a quick tour in which I was explained how the experience worked. Compared to other CapitalOne lounges, the landing felt more like a luxurious dining experience. Servers came around and frequently checked in on me which I thought was a nice touch. There is a QR code on table to order hot items while there is a bar and buffet area to pick up drinks, cold items, and dessert. Everything I tried was fantastic and hot items came out in less than 10 minutes. Quality is very high for airport food. For those with the VentureX, admission is free while others will have to pay a fee. If you have the VentureX then I would highly recommend stopping by. It wasn't too busy but I expect it to become more crowded in the future. There is an option to make a reservation on the app which will help avoid the crowd. Food: (ratings are based off of airport food) Favorites were the Gambas al Ajillo and carne asada. They were cooked well, had great flavors, and exceptional for airport food. (5/5) Croquetas and bikini de queso (grilled cheese sandwich) were both crispy but I did wish they came out hotter (4/5) For dessert, the flan was my favorite. It was smooth and not too dense or heavy. (5/5) I thought the basque cheesecake was just ok. It didn't have that burnt taste and texture that I'm used to. (3/5)

Yelp
Coincidentally, came on the day of grand opening and was treated to a lovely sit-down tapas-style dining experience at the first ever Capital One Landing. The setup is slightly different from other traditional Capital One lounges, in that you order off an a la carte menu for the most part. There are tapa style cold dishes you can pick up from the counters, in addition to desserts. Everything I ordered was delicious with an elevated touch to both the taste and ingredients used. They were even serving small doses of caviar! The usual bevy of beverage options is available. Unlike other CapOne lounges, there is no grab & go here. Another section similar to a cafe will open at a later date but is open to the entire public for purchase; X card holders receive 50% off. Finally, a lounge worth it at DCA!!

John S.

Yelp
Amazing! This is my favorite place to eat and i will be booking flights with long layovers in Reagan to have an excuse to eat here. Located by concourse D and complimentary with a venture x card this is a tapas restaurant inspired by some famous chef but what really matters is everything is delicious. For breakfast i suggest the pancakes, lox, and eggs Benedict. At dinner the steak and croquetas were two of my favorites but do yourself a favor and just order one of everything! Servers are super attentive and a joy to talk to. Did i mention the open bar is included? Just go here, hanging out at the gate waiting for your flight is boring.

Rachel H.

Yelp
Food and service were excellent. While I wouldn't eat everything again, I love that the items are small enough that you aren't wasting food if you didn't like it. Definitely encourages you to try everything. The one gripe I have is that there are limited bathrooms and they are located in a very tight hallway where the workers are also doing all of their table prep work. It gets chaotic in that area.

Staci S.

Yelp
Super unfortunate there are no priority pass lounges at DCA. However, if you happen to have the Venture X Card or are traveling with a card holder, then definitely come here! It's near one of the security gate exits. Depending on how busy it is, you may want to do a reservation instead of being a walk in. The food was superb although the options were a bit limited compared to the lounge in IAD. No to go bags either, but you will be full once you leave. Only two bathroom stalls unlike the lounge in IAD, so you might counter a line. Service was pretty good.

K C.

Yelp
This partnership between Capital One and Jose Andres makes this airport fixture the best that Capital One has to offer. Every single food item and every single drink was absolutely top-notch. I've never been more excited to be a Venture x customer. They've hired very good servers, and I love the intentionality behind the decor. As someone who has allergies to dairy and nuts, I'm thrilled that they have options that accommodate almost everybody that comes in. I truly cannot believe that this is something available to somebody like me.

Mark H.

Yelp
I went to the coffee bar side of this cafe, and at 6am on a Thursday morning there was absolutely no line. The croissant was an extremely fine one, fresh, airy, and crispy, and the cappuccino was quite good too. This place certainly helped with airport grumpiness!

Timmy T.

Yelp
Right after american airlines check in. Score! Early so no line. Great service. Clean.

Hunter Q.

Yelp
Amazing food and service! Spotless bathrooms and a great bar. What more could you ask for in a lounge/ restaurant?
