"The newly reimagined Capri conjures up visions of a breezy, relaxed trattoria along the Amalfi Coast with solid housemade pasta, a cold crunchy salad with plump, juicy shrimp, and a gorgeous grilled filet of swordfish. Paired with iced limoncello spritzes or easy-drinking but aromatic Volpe di Coda wine from Campania, Capri works as a low-key respite from the golf action." - Matthew Kang
"Maybe it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the year-old Capri inside Eataly has decided it wants to stay. When Eataly first opened in 2017, the food emporium’s on-site dining area felt a bit like a food hall serving classics like pizza and pasta. That changed last year when Capri opened as a pop-up from chef Giuseppe Manco, who hails from Napoli, and beverage director Luigi Capasso. The menu has managed to earn enough of a following to become a permanent part of Eataly, making it the only such concept among the North American Eataly outlets. The space transformed slowly into something more lived-in, resulting in an expansive array of seating options, including a lovely patio that overlooks Santa Monica Boulevard (bring a sweater though). The furniture and overall decor sports soft green pastiles, less lemon tree foliage, and more tasteful greenery all around. It’s just more of an acceptable place to spend an afternoon or lounge around for an early dinner instead of an impulse decision." - Matthew Kang
"After operating as a pop-up from Naples-born chef Giuseppe Manco for a year at Eataly in the Westfield Century City, this coastal Italian destination became a permanent fixture as of this month. Capri’s menu leans heavily into crudos, featuring several fish tartares, as well as house-made pastas (think: fresh tonarelli with a half lobster). Larger plates include swordfish with capers and lemons, and baked branzino with cherry tomatoes and olives. The space channels Amalfi Coast vibes, with lots of tasteful greenery, cool green tones, and a lovely patio that overlooks Santa Monica Boulevard." - Eater Staff
"In fact, there’s a lot of crudo going on, whether it’s the yellow carpaccio at Capri in LA." - Jaya Saxena
