Austin Restaurant Veracruz Closes Hot Tacos Truck in Downtown Austin - Eater Austin

"Sandwich chain restaurant Capriotti’s opened its second Austin-area location this month. The new sandwich shop is found in Bee Cave at 3944 Farm to Market Road 620, Suite 130 as of October 15. It’s known for this Bobbie sandwich, which is made with turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and mayonnaise. The first Austin-area location opened as a ghost kitchen in North Loop in spring 2021 and then transitioned into a restaurant in Mueller." - Nadia Chaudhury

First time visiting Capriotti's. Not bad. Ordered a few sandwiches. The Waygu style cheese steak was pleasant. The only detractions was the bread and cheese. The bread would have been great had not been shipped and stored in plastic. Being in plastic it steamed and lost the necessary crunch great bread has. The cheese was also lower quality than the meat, which was a bummer as the meat was outstanding. Overall worth eating here.

Enjoyed our first visit by sharing a delicious 8" tuna sub. Julian, the owner, warmly greeted us with a smile. You can find something you like from their great variety. Next time I will try cheese steak.

First time trying Capriotti's and the cheese steak was amazing. We will definitely be back. The 'medium' was a large at most sandwich shops so I'll order a small next time.

I was so excited to hear a Deli was opening in Bee Cave. Unfortunately this is a franchise fast food type sandwich / salad shop. I could not believe my $10.60 “steak salad” was the size of my palm and the “steak” was actually just 1 oz of shaved cold cut. Yuck! (The employee was nice, so he gets 5 stars, but the business gets 1 star). I won’t be back.

Great food although a little pricy it’s worth it. Chase is always helpful and makes the best sandwiches👌🏽

Manager was very rude. Hung up in my face. Questioned me as if I made the sandwich wrong. Sandwich was soggy, wet, missing Ingredients. Jersey Mikes could never.

The wife and I came for a late lunch. I had the cheese steak with jalapeno slices. Spicy and well seasoned goodness. It was not a traditional Philly cheese steak. But I gotta tell ya, it was steaming hot and delicious nonetheless. Plenty of meat that was minced, not traditional ribeye slices, and a little overcooked. Still good though, and on a nice fresh long thin bun. My wife had the small homemade piled high turkey. Again fresh bun and veggies. She loved it. But couldn't finish it all. The subs are reasonably priced. But when you add a drink and chips for $4.99 each to two sandwiches, the price was up there. Well over thirty bucks for two. Yikes!! The atmosphere is typical of a sub shop. Friendly and helpful staff. We will be going back.

I love that they offer vegetarian options. The veggie Cole turkey and veggie chicken Philly sandwiches are my favorite. This is best sandwich shop in the area. I don’t know why it isn’t rated higher? Definitely give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed with the food. It’s so good! Trust me I am a real picky eater. 😉
