Google
By far the best Fajitas in the state. Food was so delicious, I ordered more to go after I had already paid... because I wanted more for later. Will definitely be coming back here. The service was amazing. So kind and very quick to serve. Very good atmosphere.

Me and the hubby went out for dinner today didn’t realize they closed at 9 pm we got there around 8:20 pm. We were going to leave because they we saw they close at nine but very nice waitress told there was no problem for us to come on in. Service was great. Food came out quick and was fresh. This our first time at this establishment we will be coming back because of the great service.thanks

Google
The food was not what I remembered. I am very disappointed my enchiladas was cool but the plate was hot?? My husband's plate was the same way. He asked for diced onions on his enchiladas and didn't get any. We asked the waitress and she was frustrated..I know other's love their food, to each their own but I will not be coming back!

Google
I didn't care for my enchiladas, but this my nieces favorite restaurant. They tasted like enchiladas I had in Missouri. The chips and salsa were great. My wife liked her meal. It might just be me. No reason not to try it out.

Google
Myself & my husband ate at Carambas on 7-10 .the food was horrible, the waitress Yeraldin was even worse.. very rude, unprofessional I had to ask several times for tea , a cup finally asked another waitress. Yeraldin treated us like she didn’t want us there. That’s cool , we will not go back to that place

Google
Lunch menu is great. Good service and very clean environment. Food was excellent.

Google
We went for lunch. Food was wonderful and we had a great waitress. In and out quickly

Google
Good customer service. Didn't quite enjoy the food but it was ok. I had to add the salsa sauce to my main dish to give it a kick/make it taste better. Overall it is a 6/10 for me and my team.

Yelp
Carambas is my favorite place to eat Mexican food in the Permian basin. Came to Midland for the first time back in 2011/2012 and this is where they took me at work. Been coming back ever since. Chico arles is my favorite or the David's but everything I have tried is good. Wait staff is very good. Salsa is one of my favorites. Beans and rice are just the way I like them as well.

Yelp
Does this really look like $22 dollars worth? I mean i understand is a business and they're trying to make money but come on guys I purchased the fajitas with chicken and shrimp, beans and rice and this is the portion that I received definitely not worth your money keep in mind that this was just one plate for one person. It was 3 pieces of beef 4 pieces of shrimp and 3 strips of chicken the rest was a WHOLE onion! Like full size onion and a few peppers, with Poot beans and rice I mean how can you mess this up. But anyways go somewhere else where you can get your moneys worth.

Yelp
Food and service was really good. I was visiting from Dallas and we wanted to go on Saturday. Unfortunately, they are closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Yelp
This is the best mexican food I've ever had in this town. For 99% of food being Mexican food for some reason, this place is THE best. It was my first time here. The service was fast and consistent. It appeared clean. The food: I got the 3 enchilada plate. The meat enchiladas are incredible with red sauce. The white cheese enchilada was by far the best. The green chicken enchilada wasn't bad! Just not my favorite. The beans are the best most flavorful beans of any restaurant here and the rice was decent. Better to mix the rice with the beans. The gordita a la carte (on the side) was a literal 10/10. The ground beef was the juiciest most tasty ground beef I've had possibly ever. The cheese was plentiful and the tomatoes tasted fresh. The shell of the gordita tasted seasoned and it was super crispy! Very very good. The place is pricey but you get a really well done tasty food so it's almost worth the prices. Highly recommend

Yelp
We come here fairly regularly and enjoy our dining. We usually run into folks we know too. We ordered the tri-color enchilada dinner each. Most of the time Carambas is so fast you never fish the chips and salsa before your meal is delivered! They were slammed this evening though. The hostess and wait staff did very well, checking on us regularly. Our meals were served hot, and on hot plates!
google avatar

Rachel P.

Yelp
I was impressed by the quick service, it was like ordering at a fast food and getting served quickly. The food portions are not overwhelming. Most plates are under 10.00 which is unheard of these days.

Yelp
This is not the best but not the worst of places, I guess it depends on what you order which kind of sucks if you are looking for real Mexican food. The tacos shells were store bought and there was nothing authentic about it. Sad to say, Taco Bell tacos are actually better. The tampiquena plate was decent although I asked for onions in my enchilada and all they did was sprinkle them on the top, again nothing authentic about it. The service however was on point! We were promptly greeted and the waitress was very fast and attentive. The restaurant had a decent appearance and was clean. For me...if you take short cuts making tacos at a Mexican place, what other short cuts are you taking???

Shane P.

Yelp
Service was not good at all, and the food was very non-distinct. My wife and I went there for dinner and it just was not good. On a previous occasion I went with friends for lunch and it was better. Not sure what changed.
google avatar

Yelp
Chicken fajitas were good, server would take the order as she is walking away from the table. SMH my wife ordered veggie quesadilla's server said with only peppers and onions my wife said yes. As you can see in picture it had meat in it! Place was clean, large place. Sorry wife was really upset can only give two stars!
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent food even better service! We really don't make it over to Midland too often because we live in West Odessa. My coworker recommended I give this place a try so we took the 30 minute drive... we are glad we did! We were seated within 5 minutes or so and first thing I noticed was how clean this restaurant is. Chips and salsa were tasty and the queso is a must. I ordered the chile relleno and enchiladas with white sauce, my wife ordered shredded beef tacos (tacos deshebrada), and my father in law ordered the asado plate. We were all pleasantly surprised by the flavor and freshness of the food. The pricing is spot on and makes a meal for a family of four very affordable. We will definitely be visiting this spot again!

Yelp
First time dining in after they remodeled. We arrive a little after 12pm. Lunch. We waited for about 5 mins before we got a table. I ordered Ribeye a la Mexicana. It was delicious. Our food came out quick. Out of all the salsas I had so far at the many Mexican Restaurants in midland, this place has the best tasting flavorful salsa. Their service is friendly and attentive. It would be great if they served Margaritas!

M S.

Yelp
This used to be the best Mexican food place in Midland. But last 2 times we ate there the waitresses were not friendly nor did they come back & check on you like prior times. Waitresses have changed though. The food is not the quality it used to be. Now the beans are run thru a blender the rice is lumpy & no taste. But worst of all they have crammed as many tables as possible into each room, when eating you practically touch elbows with the people at next table. You have to literally squeeze thru to get to any table. I understand making money but they've already raised prices pretty high. So we will look elsewhere for a more comfortable place to eat.

John P.

Yelp
This place service was terrible service 20 min wait server was dismissive. 4 other people came after got there order placed in and delivered. We didn't even order main course. Went to check and another lady was cashing us out she asked or opinion and we told her the truth she went got the same server we had and she was very rude and dismissive to my wife. We will not be coming back here again.

Yelp
Crap.. overpriced, tiny portion, staff had a kill whitey vibe.. typical Mexican food place in Midland .. never again!! This was $15 plus $2.50 for tea..

Gilbert A.

Yelp
I always get the combo taco and enchilada plate! Always prepared the same and the quality of the food is also spot on!

Yelp
One of the places we enjoyed going is no more. We were obviously being discriminated against tonight, and for what , I don't know. We entered the restaurant for supper around 7:45, and were seated immediately. We sat for 5-7 minutes and watched while another couple came in and were seated. They ordered, were served chips, hot sauce, queso and drinks. We were never approached by anyone, and when we got up and headed for the door, the lady who seated us sat at a table and watched us walk right passed her w/o any acknowledgment. The service at these establishments sucks. It sure pays to eat at home, and not have to pay or tip these places.

Yelp
One of the better Mexican Restaurants of Midland. I would have given 4 stars if only they had beer/margaritas. I know it shouldn't effect the rating of a place, but it would really make this place that much better. The first time I eat there it was 5 stars, but I found it hasn't been consistent since. The past couple of times I went there I was just...OK, hints the 3 star rating. I will continue going there when I'm not feeling like drinking. I hope they can make there dining more consistent.

Yelp
There's only one more great Mexican place in Midland and it's Micaela's On The Go. As far as The Spanish Inn, you can enjoy a fabulous meal with ambiance and attentive wait staff. The food is delicious and always hot from the oven. Well worth the wait and the wait is evidence as to why they are one of the best in this ridiculous city.

Yelp
I'm originally from South Texas, so I'm different when it comes to Mexican food around here. We tried out Carambas today and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Food was hot fresh and came to our table fast. The server was polite and courteous. The establishment is clean and well kept. I'd give it 5 stars except they didn't have any pico de gallo or cilantro for my street tacos. The server said they don't have that, unless he misunderstood me? Overall, I will be back because the food was great. Thanks for the good service!
google avatar

Josh W.

Yelp
Looking for a good Mexican restaurant? I was a skeptic till my buddy got me to go. I ordered the nachos supreme because that's how you can judge a good Tex mex place. They were not greasy. The refried beans tasted as fresh as a morning shave. I was thoroughly impressed and to be located within a couple minutes of the office can be dangerous. I'll be back.
google avatar

Yelp
As a small young family- I have never been treated like I was in this restaurant. I took my family there because of the great food I have had there before. Unfortunately we had reversed racism- no one would seat us and the Mexican family that walked in 10 minutes after us was seated immediately after they walked in. I was so offended. Not a Caucasian friendly establishment.
google avatar

Yelp
Our family was passing through Midland on a trip out west and stopped here for dinner. Our service was great! I think we ended up finishing off four bowls of salsa and chips. We never had to ask for refills, and the food came out hot and delicious! The salsa is on the spicy side, but we like it that way. Great choice for Mexican in Midland!
google avatar

Christy G.

Yelp
We LOVE coming to Carambas! The staff is always so nice and they are really fast for a sit down restaurant! I usually order the Norma and it never disappoints :)
google avatar

Ivan L.

Yelp
Delicious fajitas and enchiladas. Home made rice and beans. Great chips n salsa. Good and quick service. Cheap too. My favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. Don't come to Midland and not try it here.
google avatar

Nora B.

Yelp
This place is very clean. We were quickly seated. The service was great! Their salsa is very fresh and spicy! Delicious! I got the Carla's plate which included 2 soft spicy beef tacos and of course, rice and beans. The tacos were good but not the slightest bit spicy. I added some of the salsa and it was perfect after that. My son got the beef burrito and ate everything on his plate. Their sopaipillos were the only disappointment. They're very big but not fluffy at all in the middle. It's just like a thin shell of dough stuffed with air. They had 0 flavor and were a little hard and greasy. Will be coming back but definitely skipping dessert.
google avatar

Alex G.

Yelp
The Taco Salad was "OK" it was definitely not worth the amount I payed. The chips and salsa were great.
google avatar

Roy J.

Yelp
Went there to eat last night. Always has been my favorite Mexican food place in Midland. Wasn't disappointed. Great asalways

LD G.

Yelp
Walked in tonite, a long time customer, hostess never spoke, never said a word! My wife and I did not even sit down, we left! We got the message, we will take our business elsewhere! Sorry Albert, we will miss you and Beatrice. Who ever is in charge needs to give the lady who seats folks some lessons in manners! She did speak as we walked out the door! She said"no?" I guess that is code, I think the proper thing would have been "I am sorry" Thanks for the memories!

Yelp
Apparently, Tampico Inn isn't open on Monday's; a fact we were unaware of. So, on to "Plan B". The four of us arrived around 5:30 for an early dinner (no, we're not senior citizens). The waitress was really friendly and cool. The chips and hot sauce were really good, so we ordered a refill on those. The food was outstanding; two enchilada plates, a gordita plate, and a smothered burrito plate. Aside from Tampico Inn, this is probably the closest thing to South Texas Mexican food in Midland. Highly recommend this place.
google avatar

Will S.

Yelp
We had fast and friendly service... Which is unheard of in Midland, TX. I HAD THE "Martin's". It was fajita meat enchiladas with queso on top. Rice was wonderful! Apple tart a la mode for dessert. Food was great! But, again, the service was out-friggin-standing. I RECOMMEND THIS FOR FAMILIES!!!!
google avatar

B.J. H.

Yelp
Amazing food from out of town. Customer service wasn't to great but they wasn't full either. Queso wasn't the best we've had but was ok. Salsa was amazing for sure. Fajitas were ok not the bomb but I would give them a 8 for sure.
google avatar

Michelle A.

Yelp
Love it! Visiting Texas from Hawaii and the first thing that came into my mind is i want some Mexican food! This restaurant is great, staffs are friendly and food is delicious! Specially their Mexican rice! I highly recommend this place!

Kim M.

Yelp
So, we were seated without menus. Took quite a while for anyone to come around. We were offered beverages but no menu. Eventually the server noticed we didn't have any. I ordered a beef dish, I was expecting shredded beef but was I got was hamburger. That was very disappointing. I could have made a Mexican dish with hamburger at home. My husband had something like a shish Kay bob, but said the meat was very chewy. The other person in our party ordered chicken and got beef. The only redeeming quality is that the staff was nice. That's why I have it 2 stars. Note to self, don't ask Billy for restaurant recommendations. :)
google avatar

Susan B.

Yelp
The service and the food is always excellent! Every dish is authentic and fresh. I particularly like their rice and beans. They have lunch specials and a full menu of delicious plates. Prices are very good. I would give it 5 stars but I HATE the seating!! It's tough To work your way out or to the restroom Once they fill up.
google avatar

Dave D.

Yelp
Yummy and always fresh with great consistent service. This place is always packed, and the ones who hate are because they don't know real good food living in the Midland does that to many. ^_^
google avatar

Xiaoting X.

Yelp
Not too many choices on the menu. Good food but not something I'd crave for. Nice service and spacious restaurant. Price on the lower side.
google avatar

Barbara S.

Yelp
One of my favorites places to eat, delicious food, clean, and very friendly staff! Love the chips and salsa! Tea is awesome!
google avatar

Joseph G.

Yelp
Amigo Doug all the way! This is another Midland institution that is PACKED at lunch. If you're not there by 11:20, be prepared to wait a while to get a table. Everything I've had here is great, but the Amigo Doug is far and away my favorite. Its two shredded beef burritos smothered in queso. I eat both of them every time, even when I know I shouldn't. The quality of the service can be hit or miss, but a lot of that is the crowd and the area.
google avatar

Kade D.

Yelp
We are from NM around the Hatch Valley and finding a quality Mexican food restaurant in Midland is tough to say the least. Caramba's has real Mexican food. It is delicious and the service is always spot on. We go there at least once a week but most of the time it's more than that. It is extremely hard to find service that is genuine and nice here in Midland since the oilfield picked up but the staff at Caramba's fits the bill. Couldn't ask for better service or people. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the mood for Mexican food. I recommend trying to get to the restaurant by 11:30 or there may be a wait. It gets very busy during the lunch hour.
google avatar

Chad H.

Yelp
Caramba's had been closed for a while for remodeling. I am not really sure why they did...it looked fine before to me. They did re-paint and put in some new artwork and table cloths. Now that it has re-opened we were in the area so we went again. The service was very good and we really enjoyed the tri-color enchilada plates. They have fountain Dr. Pepper which was great too. The chile con queso with beef was good but kind of expensive for the amount you got.

Heather L.

Yelp
Service is very fast and service was very nice. However food was absolutely terrible. I got fajitas and my husband got enchiladas and neither of us finished out plates. The queso wasn't even great. We actually left to go someplace else to have dinner. DO NOT COME HERE!

Miranda W.

Yelp
Some of the best Mexican food in Midland! There very fast and great service. The waiters are always nice. There Queso is definitely a must, It is amazing!! I've only gotten the green chicken enchilada plate and It never disappoints. Such a good place.
google avatar

B W.

Yelp
This place is great! Usually very fast service and great food. If you go right at noon M-F though there is usually a short wait but they do their best to get you in and out. When they first open in the morning they can get you in and out in 30 minutes, when it is super busy it is still under an hour. Definitely recommend, food is worth it!
google avatar

Aaron W.

Yelp
Not impressed with our meal at all. Bland food and stale chips with salsa that had very little flavor. Staff is kind and attentive. Will likely look elsewhere for our Mexican food needs.
google avatar

Alaina K.

Yelp
First off if you want a drink don't bother no alcohol or beer. It should be worrisome the staff speaks perfect English. But when they have half a dining room with one table and they shove you between 2 tables on the busy side you should know it is going down hill fast. Reading the menu does no good what you order is not what you get. This is the least tex mex resturant I have ever been to and I am from AK and married to a Texan from Del Rio who has lived and worked all over the USA and I can get better tex mex in small town Louisiana. Do not waste your time. In case you missed it when I said it was the worst tex mex the food is terrible, literally worst I have had and in Texas and all other 42 states I have been to.

Yelp
My wife and I decided to get Mexican food for dinner Friday night. We were thinking about a Mexican restaurant we had taken her Mom to the weekend before for her birthday. They have a drive through, so I thought cool, we can call in an order and pick it up and take it home. Then we started thinking about what we had there, and how it compared to other Mexican restaurants we had been to before. The queso and rice were kind of bland, my enchiladas were pretty good. The red sauce was smokey and flavorful, but my wife said it was too hot for her, so we decided not to go there this time. My wife remembered Carambas Spanish Inn, and I remembered it being ok, so we went online to see if they had a menu to choose from. We had a hard time finding a menu to order from, but finally found a picture someone had taken of the menu and posted it online. It wasn't complete, but good enough for us. I called in an order, and the guy that took my order was very helpful. We drove over to pick up the food, and I asked the guy if he had a printed menu we could take home, but he said no, we really need to do something about that. He took my credit card to pay for the meal, and while it was processing he pulled one of their menus from under the counter and gave it to us! I actually put a five dollar tip on my bill just for his kindness. The meal was better than I remembered. The queso had lots of flavor, as did the rice, and the enchiladas were as good if not better than the ones I had at the afore mentioned restaurant. My wife really liked her Mary's dinner( a lot of their dinners have names). We will definitely go back there again. I don't understand some of the negative reviews, it's like they weren't talking about the same place we went to. Sometimes I think the reviewers have a different agenda other than giving an honest opinion of the place they are reviewing. I believe some of the reviewers are family or friends of other competing restaurants, and are just trying to berate them for no other reason than to get customers to try other restaurants. I am not a food critic by any means, but I know what I like. I have had Mexican food all over Texas(and Arkansas, don't ask how that went), and besides my favorite Mexican restaurant in Houston, Carambas will be my go to place in Midland from now on.
google avatar

Duane M.

Yelp
Good Christians serving the best Mexican food in Midland.

Kevin L.

Yelp
I'm surprised by the mixed reviews. I've eaten here for years, decades. I've always been treated very well by a friendly staff. I've never had to wait long for my food, even when they are crowded. I love the red enchilada sauce.
google avatar

Yelp
A true home town place to eat. Mexican food at it's best. Whether for lunch or dinner you will not be disapointed. The Amigo Doug, shredded beef burrito, is one of my favorites. I also love the migas. Carambas will make every effort to prepare your food according to your special requests. The staff is courteous makes every effort to make you feel welcome. Their service is fast and even faster if you are in a big hurry. The drinks come in large cups and do not require often refills. Their chips and salsa are excellent. The restaurant has a warm homey mexican style feel. This is one to put on the all time favorites list for Midland.
