Carbon Grill

Came on a Sunday around 5pm. There were a few customers but not super packed. My husband and I decided to get the full chicken plate with 2 sides. We were debating on the sides and the cashier offered to have us taste samples of the coleslaw and potato salad. Really appreciated it and ended up like the potato salad a lot more. It was the dill. For drinks, they have soda and sparkling water. They also offer free water and cups are out to grab by the customer. Water was nice cold and had a taste of cucumber. Really refreshing. The chicken was so good! Juicy and great flavor. We also enjoyed eating outside as it was a nice day out and they have a covered seating area, inside and out. Credit card is accepted here. Definitely worth planning on coming back.

Wow! Ordered the 6 pcs beef ribs plate. Great value for about $21! The ribs were huge and very tasty! Comes with your choice of 2 sides and flour or corn tortilla. The coleslaw and potato salad is highly recommended. Easy free parking at the back of the building.

The fish was well seasoned and cooked. Perfectly crunchy. The potato salad had fresh dill, it was very yummy. I also loved the cole slaw. This is not a fast food spot and I don’t mind waiting for quality food. Definitely recommend.

My first time eating here I was excited I could not wait to try my food and I was so hungry . Ordered a whole fried tilapia. But then when I drove a hour back home The whole time I was driving, my car was smelling like old grease I kinda ignored it, not wanted to believe that it was my food. I opened my plate of food. My fish was salty and smelled like it was cooked with old oil or like if the fish was cooked from the day before all they did was refry it to warm it up. I was very disappointed and could not drive back unless I wanted to waste another hour Plus, it was late so I wouldn’t have made it back before they closed. Not only that I waste my money, but I wasted my time.

First time blew me away! Had the 1/2 chicken with 2 sides, so good with tortillas, grilled chile and onion and variety of salsas. Can’t wait to go back for the ribs. Try the Esquite, so delicious. Wonderful service in a simple eat in ambience. No frills but who cares no fancy seating. the food served on trays is AMAZING! promise you, it will be your new go to. Kudos to owner and his team.

Exceptional food and service. Parking available in the rear of the business. Ordered the whole chicken plate with rice and beans and a whole rack of Baby back ribs with fries. They cook to order. Please give them time and order early. Worth the wait and a detour!

In San Fernando on business. Decided to have dinner while waiting for traffic to die down a bit. Doing a search Carbon Grill sounded good. When we got there we were the only customers. Nice little place but other reviews suggested something else and parking for some reason was non existent. Had to park two blocks away! Good menu and prices were fair for these times. Food took a bit long even though it was only us. That is a good thing since it means freshly cooked. Ordered a burger, salads and fried Yucca. Good meal overall. Clean place with outdoor patio along with inside tables. Only complaint was too much plastic used for this level of dining.

Just an update. It's 11/30/24 and carbon grill is NOT closed! It just moved down the block at 110 mclay. It's across from the cleaners and urgent care for pets. I don't know if they joined forces with crave or just rent the kitchen out. Nevertheless, they are still open for business. I ordered the whole chicken($18.50) Al la carte. Also a full order of baby back ribs ($17.00) a la carte. It's right next to manzanitas. Way bigger dining room. Seating outside as well. Come On down. Peace!

Oh! My! Goodness!!!! Carbon grill is a gem! We were looking for local eats, and came across carbon grill and decided to pop in. For 3 of us, we ordered these chicken breast sandwich with a side of anti pasta, their bbq bacon burger with fries, and 6 HUGE beef ribs with a side of black beans and potato salad. All that delicious food came our to $55! I was so shocked. Be aware, they ask you be patient since they make everything fresh, which means you wait about 30-40 mins for your food but trust me...worth the wait! Their meat is cooked so deliciously, everything tastes fresh and has amazing flavor! We were all so impressed. It's a walk up to the counter and order type place, you grab a table (they have both indoor and outdoor seating), and they bring your food to your table. No alcohol but it's in a small plaza with a few bars surrounding it so its an easy walk to grab a drink next door if you're looking for a little cocktail. Such a delicious place in the middle of San fernando and we are definetly excited we found them!

We use to live down the street from this place, never checked it out. We finally had the opportunity to go and we were so bummed we hadn't tried this sooner! Food was delicious, the flavor, freshness, the big spread and the perfect pricing for all you got. Service was quick, they tell you ahead it can be a small wait as everything is prepared fresh to order,e.g., beef ribs, chicken... We ordered the beef ribs, Philly sandwich, nuggets and burger for the kiddos. All plates but the ribs came with fries (delicious)! Ribs you can choose 2 sides, I went with a potato salad (made with dill, so tasty), and grilled veggies (yummy!). Can't wait to try more of their menu!!

Came here with my friend from work for lunch. This place is a total game changer. The staff were awesome and recommended some different options for me. I ordered the short ribs a la carte and also a 1/2 chicken meal with salad and grilled veggies. The food was incredible, it was like eating at your family member who loves to grill house. The food was insanely low priced for what you're getting. My friend and I ate outside and the atmosphere was amazing. We were able to take in the beauty of San Fernando. Will definitely be coming back here again and again!

I walk in and it's spotless. I looked at another customers order as the chef delivered it to them while I was waiting for my food to go. This food looked incredible and I had to say something to the chef as he passed me by to return to the kitchen. He highly recommend the platinum burger. I'm definitely going to get a burger next time since I ordered the beef ribs this time. My beef ribs had fries, my choice or tortillas, and black beans. They had a good choice selection on sides. The bbq sauce tasted great and wish I would have ordered a side of it on the side to dip my fries into it. November 1st 2023 dinner was fantastic.

Awesome new spot that opened up not to long ago. My friend told me about this so I gave it a go. I ordered the beef ribs potato salad and grilled veggies. As well as an esquite. The cashier was nice and my food was ready when they said it would be. The business is very new and very clean. The ribs were really delicious. Not overly sauced I wished I had asked for more but honestly they don't need em. Grilled veggies were broccoli and zucchini's. All grilled. Delicious. And low carb. The potato salad was good. Different from the norm. Creamy and had dill but nothing overpowering. The esquite also was grilled corn. Not overly drenched in Mayo or cheese. Very nice. Definitely be back. I'll try something different.

I was at a Tesla Supercharger near by and wanted to pick up dinner. I found this place and decided to walk over. It's further than you think. Definitely drive from the charging station. I ordered the full rack of baby back ribs and it was delicious. This restaurant has bbq with a Latin twist. They give you grilled green onions like how Baja used to back in the days with the bbq. The rib meat was crispy and reminded me of crispy pork belly which I love. The sauce was off the hook! I'm a sauce guy and their bbq sauce was delicious. I will definitely be back to try their chicken and other menu items. Give them a try!

It's delicious guys... I've eaten here twice now, and I need to get back there again. One of the visits was with a friend so we tried a little bit of the ribs, short ribs & chicken, and I had the short ribs my first time I ate here. Been meaning to get back there again and try one of their burgers.

This spot surprised me on how good the beef ribs, short ribs and chicken sandwich are. They even added a jalapeño to the meal which is great. The rice, refried beans, and potato salad is good but the macaroni was too watery and the fries are really thin. The ambience is ok and the cashier is very helpful when it comes to ordering as well. Overall the food has been amazing every time I order. Highly recommend it.

Decided to go a little bit further out of our area for a regular weekday meal. Wife saw Carbon Grill on yelp so we decided to give it a try. Arrived at a very clean well kept restaurant with a grill setup outside. Menu was your standard bbq fare but seemed to have a mexican twist. Ordered the half chicken plate. Plate came with two sides. They have a bunch of choices but I went with the grilled veggies and side salad since I am trying to watch what I eat (boo). There is a sign in the restaurant saying that orders will take 20 to 25 minutes so be aware. Had some water while I waited and it had an intense cucumber flavor. I must have gotten the last of the water. Received my togo order and off we went to eat. Looking forward to trying something new I dove in to my plate. When I opened the box I was a little bit disappointed in the size of the chicken pieces. They were pretty tiny. Took a bite and I was pleasantly surprised. Chicken had a nice smoky quality and was seasoned well. Veggies were fresh and cooked perfectly. Side salad was packed separately and was exactly what I wanted. Plate came with tortillas and salsa which was a nice touch. It also came with a grilled jalapeno. Beware! They were extremely hot. Overall a very solid dinner. Nothing to rave about but exceptionally solid. I enjoyed my food and will be returning. If in the area Carbon Grill is the kind of place you can trust for a good meal.

Hands down one of the best Chicken Caesar Salads ! Made fresh so order about 30-40 minutes ahead. Easy call it in or Order online and boom go get it or get it delivered and enjoy :)

Always good food. The 1/2 chicken plate is the best but I have tried several other dishes too. I recommend getting there early for lunch because they get busy and it can take awhile once you order. Before I forget, the potato salad is some of the best I have had in a long time.

Words don't mean anything unless you come here and try it yourself. The food is amazing fresh off the grill. You can taste the fire that cooked it. It's that good. Lady in front is courteous and helpful. The place is small but intimate. You definitely can't go wrong coming here.

Great experience at Carbon Grill. My husband had the beef ribs, he said the ribs were delicious, however the macaroni salad and coleslaw was pretty generic. I had a Philly cheesesteak and salad, both very tasty. I also ordered a side of elote corn, that we shared and enjoyed. I would recommend to use the alla carte menu and choose some of the other sides that weren't offered with the meal We will be going back.

I really wish I lived closer to this place! Their food is unbelievably fresh and delicious. Now, a little heads up, be prepared to wait about 15 to 25 minutes for your order, but trust me, the wait is totally worth it. I've had their chicken BBQ, short ribs, giant beef ribs, and pork ribs, and every single one was fantastic. It's like they're serving you a taste of home-cooked goodness, and the portions are huge. You HAVE to try this place.

My fiancé is a fan of Mac and potato salad and she enjoyed Carbon Grills take on it. They were out of their ribs but I was able to try their short rib and it did not disappoint! They also throw in a jalapeño pepper and onion chive. Short rib was marinate in an adobo seasoning. Def coming back to try their other meat plates. Service is a bit slow but it's not cooked until it's ordered. Worth the wait ambiance is a standard franchise looking one and clean simplistic feel.

Incredible and exceptional every single time. Chicken cooked to perfection, burgers are AMAZING! The wait time is notable if you order for pick up but I can't blame them. It's so good every time!

Idk how this place is when eating in person but take out wasn't great. The food wasn't fresh, the beans were like mush, the fries were decent but super salty. And the main course itself; which we got baby back ribs; wasn't the greatest. However what is great was the price. $26! For a whole slab of baby back ribs and two sides! If you want cheap bbq this is the place to go!

Absolutely delicious! We were in town for an event happening at the church across the street and decided to stop here for dinner and could not be happier that we did. It's in a cute strip mall next to like a library and a coffee shop (also good). Lots of spaces to park as well. The staff at the counter were so nice smiling happy to help and the food was amazing and so reasonably priced. They were unfortunately out of the beef so we got the beef short ribs and the chicken. When I tell you they were both delicious!!! We also got the anti pasta and platanos fritos and again it was sooooo good. Cooked and seasoned to perfection. They serve each with their barbecue sauce on the side and though it's very good barbecue sauce the grilled meat with the seasonings that they put on them is good on its own. Absolutely recommend coming and eating at this restaurant.

1st time here and I plan on coming back to try more of the menu! I had the pork short ribs with bbq and a side of fries and potato salad. It was good and it smelled really good! Next time I plan to order the beef ribs and plantains! Decent prices too, You order at the front counter.

Very good! It tasted like a little too much burnt charcoal.... But very good! I'd come back maybe during peak time.

I've eaten here about 3 times. The food is ok, but the service is lacking. First time, I came in, said I was picking up. The two staff up front turned around and started gossiping and fussing with orders. I assumed they were getting my order ready, but five minutes later, one of them turned to me and said, "are you picking up?" When I again reiterated that I was they pulled one of the ready-to-go orders. Second time, no issues. Third time, it took them 40 minutes to make one sandwich, and they got it wrong (beef when I'd ordered chicken). When I pointed it out she tried to tell me I ordered beef until she checked the receipt.

Delicious food and good service. We got the spicy burger and the half chicken and both were delicious and generous portions. The guy at the front desk answered our questions and since we were in a bit of a rush they tried to get us the food asap. My only suggestion would be better utensils because it's really hard to eat any bbq with plastic utensils. Overall great new place and would definitely return

Pleasantly surprised! This place is great, I have been missing out. I ordered the half chicken plate and it came with 2 side. I got the potato salad, it was delicious and fresh with a hint of dill. The grilled veggies were perfectly cooked with a subtle Smokey flavor, perfection. The chicken was juicy with great flavor. The portions are generous 2 people can eat from one plate order, and the prices are reasonable. I also ordered the esquite it was good. The restaurant is clean and airy inside and the young lady at the register was efficient and easy to communicate with. I recommend this place and I'll definitely be back to try to the ribs.

Food is delicious and very fresh. Service is good. They have indoor and outdoor seating. On a nice evening, the ambience outside can't be matched. If it wasn't for my food wait time of 45 minutes, I would have given them 5 stars. Every small business has growing pains. My recommendation to this business is that they work on a method to improve food delivery time. Our lunch order was a whole grilled chicken, southwest salad, baby back ribs, black beans, potato salad and my son had a bbq bacon burger. My suggestion is place your order ahead of time.

I came in to see the menu. I ended up only getting an esquite. Price was reasonable at $5. There is a sign that says food is made fresh. Unfortunately the esquite is not. It is canned corn. Not fresh grilled corn and not at all what I expected. I did ask the cashier if the corn was grilled or canned. She told me it is grilled corn that they make into the cup version but I've made this tons of times from home and it tastes and looks just like canned elote. I'm not complaining I just didn't think it was good but maybe my tastebuds are off. My 7 year old daughter likes it. You be the judge.

Some items on the menu are false, they don't really have what it says they have. When I tried to order a chorizo sandwich, the cashier looked confused and said they don't have that. Also, I saw one of the cooks picking his butt

The classic mixed Grilled chicken is my fav. Ordered a side of potato and Macaroni salad & it made the whole meal taste savory and fresh. Good Customer service as well! :-)

Food is good. Ordered for a work event everything was delicious. Food was done on time and service was good. Parking is available with a little walk if none on the street. Ambiance is cozy as the location is on the smaller side. Would recommend

We finally stopped in and ate here. Starting with the staff, pleasant, friendly and wow what great smiles . I ordered the chicken which amazed me with the seasoning and cooked to perfection! No under cooked parts, no overcooked dry chicken, just perfect. The veggies were very tasty. We sat in there patio area and had a nice breeze adding to our wonderful experience / atmosphere. My wife had the baby back ribs and was very glad she ordered them. Very tasty. Not overcooked and dried out, just perfect . Which a great place to chill and eat. Definitely a must try again and again and again. We will be trying a different dish each time we return. Stop in and enjoy .

I ordered the 1/2 slab of baby back ribs with black beans and grilled vegetables. The ribs were perfectly glazed with bbq sauce. The food was delicious! Service was great. Friendly, casual ambiance. Be ready to wait at least 25 minutes for your meal since everything is freshly cooked. Definitely coming back soon.

Food is good. Ribs are good i'd definitely try it again. Only reason it didn't get a 5 because i love Ribs and they weren't great, but they were good.

Let me start off by saying - you have to check this place out if you are in the SFV. Chicken is beyond delicious, grilled veggies are great and the staff is awesome. Definitely my place for grilled chicken.

Had to try the new place in the neighborhood. Nice to have a different option. Friendly service, tasty short ribs (ordered light bbq sauce) and good sides. Definitely recommend to stop by and try it.

My wife looked up this place as it was close to my office and allowed me to pick up dinner on the way home. Ordering over the phone was easy and efficient. The food was ready on time. Even though I didn't dine-in, I found the location to be easily accessible and clean/pleasant. The food smelled so good that I almost pulled over on my way home to break open the bags. The whole chicken was DELICIOUS. Moist and perfectly seasoned. The spare ribs were tasty. Unfortunately, by the time I got home, they were a little cold and had become a little chewy. Make sure to eat them hot. The potato and pasta salads were delicious. Not sweet (I hate sweet potato and pasta salads). Heck even the flower tortillas were great. I'm glad I found this place. I'll be ordering frequently.

These guys opened up recently close to my work and I visit them every chance I get with my co-workers who also love it. Everything is always tasty and freshly made. Staff is always friendly, the owner can be often found there and he keeps offering stuff for you to try for free. I typically get the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich or the pork bbq ribs which are out of this world. Portions are very generous too. Highly recommend
