The 13 Best Restaurants In London Fields - London - The Infatuation

"It feels silly to call Mare Street off the beaten track, but in comparison to the perma-London Fields festival, it can feel that way. It’s where you’ll find Caribbean Kitchen and their too-good-to-turn-down lunch deals. The chicken stew with rice and peas is a generous and chilli-warming lunch for one. The same goes for the vegan sweet potato and black bean offering. Or there’s a jerk chicken wrap if you’re looking for something handheld, all for in and around a fiver." - jake missing, daisy meager, sinead cranna

London’s Best Caribbean Street Food | Jerk, Roti, Curry Goat, and More | Eater London

"Though it’s Caribbean Kitchen, the stall proudly proclaims its an “Afro Caribbean Kitchen,” and with this serves a wide range of Afro foods from around the world. In addition to Jamaican dishes like curry goat and ackee and saltfish, homage to Afro food of the American Deep South produces mouth watering options like the newly honed grilled lobster, that can be plated with jerk chicken in a incredible surf and turf option before being saddled with rice, plantain and mac n cheese. Those with time should find a place to sit down and get up close and personal with the dangerously sweet waffles and maple syrup glazed fried chicken." - Riaz Phillips

It is always good to discover a new neighbourhood favourite, and Caribbean Kitchen know good food! We got a few different things to share take away - jerk chicken, jerk pork, and a goat curry. They were all delicious, even the rice was deeply flavourful. While we didn’t order them, they had plenty of vego options too. Generous large serves that are enough to keep you going all day and lovely service to top it off :-)

My go-to spot in hackney. Easily one of the best caribbean restaurants in London. Lovely people as well! Every dish is 11/10.

Food is always on point. You'll be sure to have your Oxtail so soft it falls off of the bone. They serve a stellar Guinness Punch too. No complaints! Be sure to try everything.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Unforgettable Taste of the Caribbean – Truly Exceptional Take away! I can’t praise Caribbean Kitchen enough. This was my second time ordering, and once again, it completely blew me away. The food is authentic, full of soul, and absolutely bursting with flavour. Every single dish feels like it’s been cooked with genuine love and care — not just made for takeaway, but prepared as if it’s for family. The jerk chicken was out of this world — beautifully tender, with intense, mouth-watering flavours that linger with every bite. The jerk pork was so incredible I’m genuinely starting to crave it every night since! The rice and peas were cooked to perfection, each grain fluffy and infused with a delicate hint of coconut. And the plantain — cut to the perfect thickness — was golden, soft, and perfectly sweet, melting beautifully with the savoury flavours of the meal. The curry goat tasted homemade, deeply comforting and warming, like the kind of food that just wraps you up in happiness. The mac and cheese had that same homely touch — creamy, rich, and nostalgic, like something your mum would make on a Sunday. What really ties it all together, beyond the food, is the people. The staff are so friendly and genuinely lovely — you can feel their warmth and passion through every interaction. It’s rare to find a place where the food and the people both radiate so much heart, but Caribbean Kitchen absolutely does. This is five-star food with five-star heart. If you want authentic, delicious Caribbean food that makes you feel right at home, look no further. Caribbean Kitchen is pure joy in every bite. 🌴💛

Went there last week based on a friend recommendation and was not disaapointed. the lovely lady behind the counter was super helpful and accomodating. The menu is simple and easy to understand and the portion sizes are very good. Will definitely return. 5 stars from me!!

⭐☆☆☆☆ I recently purchased a bag from Too Good To Go, expecting to receive surplus food that was still good to eat. Unfortunately, this was my third attempt at this particular store, and I was deeply disappointed again. The items I received were burnt and of poor quality, which is not what I anticipated. I understand the mission behind reducing food waste, but the condition of the food was unacceptable. I won’t be returning to this store again, as it seems they are not meeting the standard expected from the Too Good To Go service.

Yelp
It's difficult to overstate how incredibly delicious this Ital experience is. The fine young ladies responsible for the authentic and perfectly spicy Carribbean Kitchen cuisine are absurdly friendly, and learned their craft from true Rastafarians in their family tree. Stop in and try their awesomely tasty soups, incomparable curried goat, and fantastic vibes. Leave your thoughts on the joint in permanent marker on the wall, as well. A great experience. Possibly the best (and hottest) lunch in Hackney.

Yelp
This is by far the worst Caribbean food I've tasted in my 52 years on earth. The fried dumpling was disguised as a stone, the fish and rice and peas had way way too much salt, and you could load the rice into a gun!!.. the pattie only pretended to have meat as it was flaky and mainly disgusting gravy... all of this at an over inflated price.. you are warned..steer clear!!
