As someone who loves Chino Latino food I’ve heard about this spot a few times. I finally found the chance to stop by. The interior is a decent size. They have a good amount of seating and I love the decor on the tables. They had the Yankee stadium, Dominican flag, Puerto Rican flag, and much more. The menu is pretty extensive. I feel like it could be overwhelming for someone who has never tried nyc Chinese food. For appetizers, I got crab Rangoons, vegetable spring rolls, and an avocado salad. Crab Rangoons can be hit or miss so I wasn’t surprised that it tasted okay. I don’t think I would order again unless it was a craving. The spring rolls were nice and refreshing. I felt it was mandatory to get some vegetables so the avocado salad was a go. It came with a vinegary dressing too. I was unsure of what to order for my main dish. I was stuck between getting a classic Chinese food dish or something more on the Latino side. I decided to get a Chino Latino staple, Crackling Chicken with a side of Mofongo. Honestly compared to other crackling chicken or chicharron sin hueso I’ve had. This one is my least favorite from presentation to flavor, but don’t get me wrong that doesn’t diminish how I feel about this spot. The side Mofongo was fireeee. From the soft texture to the right amount of garlic flavor. I was never big on Mofongo but this was really good. I even brought it home and my sister enjoyed it. My friend got the spicy orange chicken and they make sure the plate was packed out. I also got a side of sweet plantains. I love how you get everything you love from a Chinese, Dominican, Puerto Rican, etc. spot all in one. Service was really good. They gave us time to order when it took us a minute. Plus our waitress stopped by to fill our cups on multiple occasions. Food didn’t take too long. Also, the portions are on point, so I went back home with food. I would definitely be back this is a GREAT spot overall. Whether it’s lunch, family dinner, date, etc. Caridad China checks all the boxes.

It's a great Chinese food restaurant that also serves Dominican dishes. You can get some good mofongo instead of rice as a side. So that's what I ordered, General Tso's chicken with mofongo on the side, Sweet and Sour chicken with mofongo on the side, a vegetable spring roll, an egg roll, and an egg custard desert. All the food tastes good, but the prices are rather high, though.

The plantain sandwiches were absolutely bomb! Fell in love with the Jibarito sandwich while living in Chicago and have been trying to find a solid spot for one in nyc for 2 years with no luck. Searched for Chinese food in the area but saw that this restaurant served tostones sandwiches and had to try! They were just as good as the ones in CHI 😋

I usually don't believe a lot of what they post on social media, but Caridad China looked good, we went and we were not disappointed, the service was good and it was nice to hear the waitress speaking very good Spanish! The food was good and they give large portions and the menu was a little different, my cousin has the sesame chicken and I had sesame shrimp they also have mofogo. Also did try the fried rice pretty good.

This is one of those every so often places. Every dish was at best ok, not too good, not too bad. Just ok, the pork chops were a bit salty, as were the garlic wings. On the other hand the general tso’s shrimp left me wanting more. Food is a 3 out of 5. The place was a bit busy, with what seemed to be the neighborhood people. At the end of the day, it got the job done, but I don’t think I’ll be back any time soon.

Food was outstanding!! Price a tad high, but it was worth it. The portions were hefty but no alcoholic beverages. When you visit go hungry, they will not disappoint. Can't wait to come back,

Nice little place that serves amazing tasty food Chinese food with Spanish food. Such a wonderful blend. I had the steak & onions with mashed green plantains”Tostones” with garlic sauce on top it tasted so delicious. The steak was juicy and well-seasoned it also came with salad on the side. I highly recommend this place. I also had homemade iced tea that had just the right amount of sweetness.

My daughter and I are frequent customers. This is the most authentic Chinese food outside of Chinatown, especially their Fried Rice. Their portions are great, food comes out nice and hot. The staff are friendly. It is one of the best Spanish/Chinese restaurants in Williamsburg!!! Eat in or order Take Out, they are the best!

I found out about this restaurant from a reel on Facebook (yes, seriously! lol). Since my husband likes to hang out in Williamsburg, we decided to check out Caridad China this past weekend. When we arrived, we noticed that the restaurant was busy. I ordered the sesame chicken which comes with a choice of a side (veg/egg fried rice was my choice). My husband ordered the General Tsao chicken with the same type of rice. I also ordered a side of sweet plantains which was a mistake because the portion was HUGE and I was only about to eat about 1/4 of the plantains. :\ The service was fast and friendly and the food was the best Chinese food that I had in a loooong time. We will be back!

Wife wanted some Asian food and came across a clip on Instagram. Once we saw the food, we had to try it. We were able to get there yesterday and the food was good. The mofongo had flavor and was juicy and didn't need the sauce although even with the sauce it was great. The general tso chicken was also good. My wife had the pork fried rice which was delicious as well. The mango shake was meh - more watery than shake. The negative thing was our waitress never came back after our food came out. I finish my drink and wanted another but waitress did not come. Another waitress took our payment while our waitress never returned. The food was good enough to return though.

The fusion of Chinese food and Latin food has seen a surge of popularity on social media, so places like this are seeing a resurgence. Caridad China appears to be Puerto Rican Chinese (based solely on the giant Puerto Rican flag design on our table). We started off with "dim sum" (basic dumplings) which were tasty albeit a bit "rubbery" for me personally (not so for the others in our party). We also tried the "tostones vinaigrette" which was essentially cup-shaped tostones filled with chicken or shrimp in a red sauce, similar in flavor to ropa vieja. The raw onion wasn't to my liking but the taste overall was good. We then shared the BBQ pork ribs and sweet & sour chicken. By far the crowd favorite was the sweet & sour chicken - whether accompanied with fried rice or classic tostones- it was absolutely delicious. The ribs were good but standard (& a bit fatty). The restaurant is definitely low key but inside it is nicely appointed and the service was prompt. Price-wise we found some of the items to be higher than expected for a low key establishment like this. We overall it was a positive experience and I am definitely curious to try out some of their other menu items.

This place was featured on a YouTube so that's how I heard about it. I went to check it out because of the rave reviews as well. Once you enter you can see that this place has no frills. I didn't think you needed to make reservations and you it's first come first serve. Boy was I wrong as it started to turn to 9pm a bunch of people started coming in and they were in one large group. They took up the entire place and I was in shock. I feel like they bought out the entire restaurant. I guess this place does that! It shows that they are really popular. Anyways, we ordered a bunch of items off the menu. Started with the steamed juicy pork buns which wasn't really juicey and very tiny so I wasn't impressed with it plus they look like very shriveled up soup dumplings. Got the fried green plantains which was much better especially with garlic sauce. I got the house special lo mein since it comes with all the proteins that they offer. It was pretty good. Last but not least tried the chicken with garlic sauce that comes with fried rice, ham, eggs and vegetables. I really liked the chicken with garlic sauce. I realized all the dishes that I enjoyed had garlic added on. Overall, I thought that service was good and the food too.

Ordered from a popular food delivery app. While I'll always enjoy the food, via delivery it's not the same as when you eat at the restaurant so I recommend dining at the restaurant or take out pickup yourself unless you're close by. It's much better fresh out of the kitchen than waiting on delivery when you live a distance away.

This place is not cheap. Lunch cost about $35 because the lunch menu only had a handful of things so I ordered off the main menu. This was my first time eating sesame shrimp. It was really good but I didn't care for the long grain of rice that was used. 7.5/10 I got a side of plantains with garlic sauce 10/10. I will return.

I must say I was initially confused at whether this was a Chinese food restaurant or a Dominican food restaurant. I am still unsure but what I DO know is the experience and food was amazing. Me and the wife split the cultures and she ordered "Special" Lo Mein and I ordered the fried chicken mofongo. The portions were huge, the taste was deliberate, the presentation and ambiance was appropriate for what we were in search of on this particular evening: A low-key spot where great food is served and without a crazy line. We will certainly be coming back to this place...actually I have to...to try the other mofongo variations. I give this place 5 starts for a nice cozy dinner on the town.

Caridad China is a hidden gem in the heart of Brooklyn amongst the many restaurants in the area. Upon entering, you are greeted by the welcoming decor and warm ambiance. The fusion dishes at Caridad China are masterful in their creativity and execution. The General Tso's Chicken is very flavorful and authentic. 100 % recommend trying. The waiters are all so nice too. The fusion just hits the spot! 10/10 would go again.

Great food and service. Recommend the tostones cups with shrimp. Lunch specials are great value.

Unexpected dish- Sesame shrimp and I was not let down.. delicious... the other dishes were good as well... but the sesame shrimp surprised me I didn't even know they made this at any Chinese restaurant!

Perfect place for the family. My kids ate all of their food and more. The owner is the best. I had the best mofongo and I am puertorrican. This is the place to go if you are in Brooklyn. The ambiance is very family oriented.

Food wasn't as good as I remember. I placed an order of. $80+ All of it was too salty. The best thing was the passion fruit juice. Don't think I'll be ordering again. My blood pressure can't afford it.

I discovered this place from Remezcla's video "Chinese Latinos Explain Chino-Latino Food" (https://www.facebook.com/Remezcla/videos/10156713734484267?sfns=mo), and I absolutely love coming here. What I really like is that their menu intersects two cultures' foods by "pairing" them as opposed to being a "fusion" restaurant. For example, you have lots of flexibility with your sides. I usually get the General Tso's Steak, and I like getting Mofongo or Ham Fried Rice (any fried rice is an option I think), but you can also get Rice/Beans or Fried Plantains to name a few--just ask your host for all the options when ordering! I also like starting off my meal with an egg roll or avocado salad, but just know that your entree portions are HUGE. Also, it's a casual restaurant, and you can come in groups or solo without worry. Caridad China is a great place to try Chino-Latino food and has become one of my favorite restaraunts all-around!

Ordered garlic shrimp but was served dry shrimp with a pound of onions , my friend ordered chicken wings received dried unseason old overturn wings.

It's Saturday night and you can't decide between Chinese or Latin American cuisine. No need to choose when you can have both at Caridad China! I have ordered delivery from Caridad a few times and have been very happy with the consistent quality and taste of the food. Portions are incredibly generous, often resulting in leftovers that last for several meals. Standout dishes include the Tostone Vinagrette appetizer, Steak in Orange Sauce, Yellow Plantains, and Special Lo Mein. The food here is incredibly comforting and the perfect blend of Chinese and Latin cuisine.

We only have delivery. Food is good. Sometimes the chicken chunks can be a little too chewy. We tried various items.

My coworkers been ordering from this place for the last couple of day and the food has been looking amazing, so i decided to order today and I'm happy i did. This resteraunt is one of those Chinese/Spanish resteraunt, which i really enjoy and reminds of this other resteraunt called "Apollo" on myrtle Ave i've been eating at for years. The food here is fresh and quality, which i really enjoyed. Today for lunch i order my go to meal, which isn't the most healthiest, but who eats healthy when it comes to these type of resteraunt's. I ordered the fried chicken chunks with yellow rice. I really wanted beans with it, but i couldn't find it on the menu and no one was answering the phone (i ordered through seamless). My co worker ordered the sesame chicken with the house special fried rice(ham,peppers,shrimp, and onions). I tried some of his sesame chicken and it was the best sesame chicken i ever tried. The food here is out of this world and i will be ordering from here again. If your looking for excellent Chinese or Spanish food in East Williamsburg Caridad China is the place PEOPLE. Don't waste your time. This place is clean, ingredients are quality products, and the service is great. My delivery came within 20 minutes and the food was hot and fresh. A MUST try if you live or work in East Williamsburg. You won't regret it.

They made sure I was well feed, very generous portions, and good service. Very happy to know they still serving around the neighborhood. Having some foods allergies they accomodated and I was able to enjoy my eating experience outside from home. The owners and workers are very nice to talk to. Keep up the good work!

I was much happier with Caridad this time around. I'd ordered from them twice before in September and November and was not impressed. I tried their chicken with broccoli and their half fried chicken. I'm going to go through the cons before I get on with the pros. Con #1: ALL of their food comes squished in the same container. I hate that. Typically, Chinese restaurants have their regular meat options in pints or quarts that come with a side of rice and then they have their combination options which is meant to come together, you get a smaller portion of both meat and rice but it's cheaper. Caridad uses the convenience of packing all the food including salad in one container but still charges normal prices. Think about it this way, you can go to your local Dominicans and get a full order of boneless chicken chunks for $11. This will get you 3 separate containers, one round aluminum tray of just the chicken, one with rice and one little plastic one with beans. Some might even throw in a salad. If you wanted your food to come all together you'd ask for a "lonche" and you'd get less food for about half the price. That's why I think it's a little weird that Caridad makes Asian/PR&DR influenced food but they charge way more for it than the actual Dominicans do. Another con is that the food isn't always consistent. If you look at my Yelp page, you'll see I have a favorite Asian/Latin spot in Sunset Park and I SWEAR by them because they're consistent. I did not enjoy my food the first two times around, the fried half chicken was dry and lacking flavor and the chicken w broccoli was just okay. Now, I recently ordered with them in May. I was craving Asian/Latin and the other 2 spots here in Bushwick are only on Uber and Doordash. I went through every single review on here and google as well as Seamless and decided to go with their boneless chicken chunks. My fave spot in Sunset has this crack garlic sauce that they give you for certain dishes, so I decided to get two side orders of garlic sauce from Caridad in hopes that it would 1. Taste the same and 2. elevate whatever I ordered, just in case it wasn't all that. To my surprise, those chicken chunks were BOMB on their own. Seasoned well, REAL CHICKEN BREAST, crispy and golden brown. But that GARLIC SAUCE took them to the NEXT level, just as I expected. Theirs looked exactly like the one I'm used to except it wasn't brown, but the taste was spot on. So all in all, it really depends on what you order. I'll be staying away from certain menu items but this has become a fave. Next time you order from them, try this dish! Chicharrones sin hueso con arroz frito and MAKE SURE you ask for AT LEAST 2 sides of garlic sauce. As a matter of fact, anything you order will taste 10x better with it. Thank me later.

I have been looking at this restaurant for a while, especially since its been a really long time since I had Chino/Latino food. I checked out the reviews and it seemed pretty solid. As a practice, I called before placing my order for friend rice to confirm is is real fried rice with the egg and assorted veggies. The lady who answered listed the ingredients in the fried rice, as in most fried rice, a protein with assorted veggies. It sounded great so I went to Seamless and placed and ordered a shrimp fried rice and the sesame chicken for delivery. When it arrived, the bag was pretty heavy. When I opened the container, there was only rice and shrimp. I saw a few review state the rice was super dry and sadly enough, that was the case here to boot. This was $9? Not cool. I called back and another employee said I must request veggies in my rice, directly contradicting the first employee I spoke. The employees need to know what they actually sell. On the upside, The sesame chicken is really tasty, with a crisp, thin batter in a tangy sesame sauce. The regular white rice was fresh and fluffy. There were only 3 pieces of broccoli. Yes. 1, 2, 3. All in all, I would order again, but I will be VERY explicit with my requests for orders.

Came here on Fourth of July with my family, as always, it's been my favorite restaurant around the area, we drove all the way from Brooklyn and everything was worth it, food was great and service was excellent. I can already smell the delicious food when I walk in to the restaurant, makes me even have more appetite with all the smell and looking at their customer orders on the table makes me want to try everything they have in the menu, price is good and their plates was huge. We will definitely come back again and try other food on their menu. If you want to try or have that Puerto Rico taste when I was in Puerto Rico, this is definitely the place you want to come.

Don't know why they named the place Caridad, which means Charity in English. Had this place bookmarked since I've been on this Asian/Latino binge for a little while now. I love the merge of those flavors together. Came in on a blistering cold day and parked on a snow mountain to get here. I'm so dramatic but that's what happened. We were greeted and told to sit anywhere we wished. The tables were decorated with flags or sports photographs which was different. After looking over the menu I thought I would see more Latino dishes but was surprised the menu was more Asian. The only thing I saw that was Latino were plantains, Mofongo and fried pork chops. We settled on fried rice, fried plantains with garlic, shrimp in garlic sauce and nuggets/fries for our little one. The food I must say was very tasty. The tostones with the garlic sauce on top were fantastic. You could order the garlic sauce on the side if you wish. The shrimp were fresh and had such an amazing flavor as well. The service was great and the food was pretty good. We plan to come back.

I've been looking for a really good and clean Chinese restaurant and I've found one. The food was very good, not greasy, dinner portions are big enough for 2 if you get full fast like me. The general Taos chicken was nice and crispy just how my bf ordered it. The stuffed tostones with shrimp where amazing, reminded me of eating these in PR. Will def be here every time we crave good Chinese/Spanish food

Not bad at all! I would have liked the tostones with garlic to but thinner but other than that no complaints. We all loved our orders. The chuleta with the house fried rice was delish!

i absolutely love this place, I usually get the tostones Vinagrette of Chicken and the Steak Plantain Sandwich. The portions are huge so i share both of these meals. The place is extremely clean and the service is great when I've dinned in I've never waited more than 20min for my food. Ive order delivery from them several times and I am a bit far but they do come in 40minutes as stated which is great. You should definitely try this place out they have both Spanish and Chinese food which is a plus in my books

I came here with my family for the second time and I can officially say this place is amazing. I love the food here! Their tostones with garlic sauce taste so good. Their special fried rice is amazing. I'm just so happy this spot exists. The Chinese x Latino fusion is my favorite when it comes to food. Highly recommend this place for a nice Sunday dinner with the fam.

The short and skinny of it is that this place this food is excellent and the service is great. My friends and I came here for Lunar New Year dinner. The chef has a sweet profile on NYT about his cooking reflects a blend of his Chinese/Cantonese heritage and from his formative years working at his uncle's restaurant in the barrio chino in Panama. Anyway, back to Lunar New Year dinner, we ordered 8 dishes, an auspicious number for good luck and got to get a pretty thorough survey of what they offered. Their portions are really generous and great for sharing or family style. I've been here again a couple of times now and I can recommend these dishes without reservations: Crab Rangoon Shrimp Fried Rice Shrimp Lo Mein General Tso's Chicken -- one of the best (and I'm not someone who orders General Tso's either) Tostones with Garlic Sauce Pepper Steak Shrimp Foo Young Fried Red Snapper Don't come here for the Chinese food that you'd typically find in Sunset Park. It's got the Cantonese staples, with some American, and some Latino flavors and all of it cooked exceptionally well. Things that you ordered fried here is not oily and greasy. The restaurant including their restroom is impeccably clean and bright (so you can tell how how sparkling clean it is!). The times I've been here, either with a group of ten or just two for dinner, the servers have been very kind and accommodating. The only thing that could be improved is their choices of wine and I don't believe they can serve any liquor.

They gave me brocoill and chicken with garlic sauce over it tha sauce wasn't good. Tha food wasn't good at all it wasn't even chinise food it was bootleg , rundown crap it smell bad as well. tha spanish lady on tha phone her service is 100 that is all. But i wasted $12 bucks disappointment.

My favorite rice ever ... buttttt....However I ordered the $23 pulpo Salad and I only got five pieces. I literally paid for a whole container of onions and peppers which was a huge disappointment. In the past when I have ordered this I have gotten a substantial amount of it. This was a disgrace I cannot fathom how I paid that amount for five pieces I am so disappointed.

Place is hot garbage. We came here out of curiosity. To check out the neighborhood eats. My wife's sweet and sour chicken was hard and the inside dry. Her egg rice was cold My boneless hicharones had an odd sour taste to them and were way to hard. The female cashiers would constantly make a face whenever we asked for them to come. As if lifting your grubby face away from your phones at WORK would be that much of a chore!

Hands down best Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood. Huge portions and great tasting food. Came in for a Chuleta Sandwich, left happy

Finally dined in since the last time my date and i were here. We ordered the fried veg dumplings (couldnt tell what was in there- finely grated and bland). I ordered the veg lo mein. Some veg came from a can. I thought at that price, there should be a variety of fresh ingredients. Disappointing bec this is bland too. My date ordered house fried rice and chicken with broccoli which he devoured everything.

In a neighborhood where they practicaly invented Chino Latino food, this establishment is a welcome addition. An old and well-known joint recently closed its doors not too far away. I'm sure this place will be received with much delight by those that discover what lies in store behind the neon Caridad China sign. I order take out from here. A LOT. It popped up on my Seamless offerings and I couldnt resist. The pepper steak and tostones arrived perfectly hot while the tostones were crisp and tasty. I have since been ordering at least once per week. I recently had a visit to the establishment. It was clean and quiet and I had a great meal as expected. This is a great spot. I will be back.

The food here for some reason does not taste as it once did, I ordered fried rice and breaded shrimps, the rice did not have any flavor barley any onions, the breaded shrimp were also taste less. Unfortunately I will not be ordering from here anymore, this is not the first time the food was not to its right tasting.

Good food, nice staff, quick service!! Definitely a go to spot if you're craving some good Chinese/Spanish fusion food

So I've been dying to have some shrimp mofongo but most places add shrimp to their existing mofongo that usually has meat in it and I can't eat that. But this shrimp mofongo is just shrimp- no other meats/ meat juices, so O had to have some. It was excellent, and I'm so glad the portion was massive so I could finish for breakfast the next day! It's not really a Chinese-Latino fusion place, just a place that sells both Chinese and Latino foods. Good enough to go back for more!!

Food was yummy, service was kind, ordering for picking up is effortless and efficient, timely. All around a great first experience! I'm excited to sit in for dinner sometime. I ordered pork friend rice and sesame chicken with combo fried rice.

I was excited to see a Spanish Chinese restaurant in North Brooklyn, for years I traveled to Castle Hill in Bronx for my Latin Chinese fusion cuisine. Today I found a new place to call home. First off the place is exceptionally clean and the staff is extremely friendly. We ordered the Tostones with garlic vinaigrette and the ham fried rice with an egg to go. I did not get a protein because my girlfriend made Korean fried chicken extra crispy; But both side dishes were packed with the right flavors and spices to compliment any dish. The only thing I would like to see added to the menu is Latin skirt steak with garlic vinaigrette.

Awesome spot. Friendly waiters that are attentive. The food is amazing and portions are so big!! The general tso chicken with house special fried rice is soo good. We had a table of 5 and they gave us a free order of maduros. The waiter kept refilling our drinks and even gave us a pitcher of water which was a plus. Looking forward to trying more dishes.

I expect better. I just called and tried to order sesame chicken but substitute lo mein instead of rice. The lady on the phone was super rude and said it's not possible. I told her I would pay extra but she became even more rude and said no again. I get that some things can't be done. You'd think they could make it happen, but it's understandable if they really can't. The attitude is not understandable. It's a shame because this was my go to place.

Consistently good. I always get the same thing, the General Tso and the Garlic Tostones. I'm always happy when I order from a restaurant and my food always taste the same. Caridad has that down pat, the food is always good. The portions are huge. The food always arrives piping hot. I broke my intermittent fasting tonight to order and it was so worth it.

You ever been soooooo full that you can't eat any more? But the food is sooooooo goooodddd that you just have to keep eating even if it means it'll kill you?! Well, that's me at this place. I love love loveeee eating here. The food is delicious and the food portions are huge. Tostones with garlic are my faveeee along with the steak w/ onions.
