First, let me say that I have no idea what this place actually LOOKS like. My food was picked up by our faithful, loving and always hungry grad assistant. She said she'd been there before w/ a friend of hers who keeps kosher and discovered that it was actually pretty good!
That said, just by looking at the menu, I was a bit confused. Their website says they're kosher mexican, but then they have hot dogs, egg rolls and burgers too. I guess it's predominantly mexican w/ a mish mosh of other things. I just had a burger. I was craving it so entirely that it was pretty much all I could talk about all morning long.
They have a nicely priced lunch menu, w/ a mix of burgers, tacos and wings being a quick few. Most are served w/ a fountain drink (or your choice of snapple or water) and a side of fries. As I said, I got the burger, which I had to fully customize (1 6-oz burger topped with onions, lettuce, tomatoes and bbq sauce - hold the pickles, onions and mystery special sauce) since I didn't want any of their prearranged combos. It came nicely wrapped in foil just as if I got it from my local burger king, and the fries came in a tray in it's own brown paper bag.
Taste... taste was good! I'm wondering, however, if it was frozen because the texture to me didn't say freshly made. If it was frozen, I like it less (just because of the amount of sodium that is in most pre-made foods), but it at least came in a nice 6 oz. size which I fully consumed. Their spicy fries (which I paid an extra $1 for since I have an aversion to shoestring fries, their default fry choice) were good, if not also sort of frozen tasting. They were nothing like 5 guys. You couldn't take the "spice" off of the fries. They looked like they were embedded just as you would expect for the frozen kind. They were, nevertheless, really good, but that may be just because I have a love-love relationship w/ almost anything resembling a french fry (curly fries, spicy fries, potato wedges, sweet potato fries, yuka fries, steak fries, etc).
Overall, I would probably not get this from them again. Since 5 guys is probably equidistant from my office and they tell me exactly where my potato buds come from, I feel somewhat healthier and more natural eating food from there (despite their really high sodium content, fat content, calorie content, and all other things that can be counted for nutritional purposes). All I can say at least is that I've been satisfyingly satisfied with my burger/protein craving quelled. :)
