Carlotto is an eloquent restaurant that is inviting. From the moment you enter the restaurant, the staff is very attentive to your needs and response, and they exceeded our expectations. We had the grilled octopus, truffle, risotto, branzino, meatballs, and 2 desserts. The wine list is extensive, and the wine caller is beautiful. They have a place down stairs to have a group event. The restrooms are extremely clean and inviting. The restrooms upstairs have a remote wall that can do various things. Downstairs is also clean and modern but without the remote on the wall. The overall rating would be A+++

Loved our evening at Carlotto Did we just find the perfect Friday night spot? We had an absolutely wonderful time trying @carlottonewyork this evening. We walked in at 5:30 and grabbed seats at the bar. We were greeted with warm smiles and lovely staff. Michael made us feel right at home and entertained us throughout the evening. We ordered from his recommendations and he didn’t miss. Our order: 2 bottles of the hh red, gem caesar, rigatoni, lobster Mafaldine, lasagna and of course, tiramisu. All 3 pastas were fantastic. I have had a weird obsession with ordering tiramisu off of every menu for the past three months. Highly recommend for a date night, girls dinner or just a solo night out. It’s a friendly and warm atmosphere. I will absolutely be returning not only for Michael but also the pastas. Happy hour 5-6 pm!

I ordered restaurant week menu. Flatbread was good but very hard to eat, if you’re with a date, DO NOT ORDER, you’ll look so messy and ugly. Food was ok, nothing special. I feel like I can get similar things with a lower price elsewhere. Our server was nice, was able to recommend dishes that make me want to order. Manager walked around but never touched our table, we were never greeted by the floor manager. On our way out, I assumed to walk past by a supervisor or manager (he wore suit and tie), was not greeted at all. A very “meh” experience. Personally don’t think worth the price.

The appetizer is really really good. Service and environment is really really good too. Only problem is main dishes isn’t that great. Veal is very dry and taste like fried pork katsu. The cut should be thicker. Lobster paste tastes really good.

Food 7/10 Decent Italian food, but it wasn’t insanely good. Solid flavors, good for a work meal. The pastas came out a little too lukewarm for my liking, and the bread was a bit hard. Nevertheless, I really liked the seafood pasta, as the dough had the perfect amount of bounce, it was beautifully al dente, and filled with SO MUCH seafood. Atmosphere 10/10 Gorgeous interior, newly opened restaurant. Service 7/10 A little confusing on explaining the menu, as it was restaurant week, and no pricing was listed for individual dishes, and we didn’t want to order the restaurant week set.

Beautiful restaurant with a very tasteful decor and great atmosphere. It was my first time dining there last night (went to celebrate a friend’s birthday) and was blown away by the food. Excellent service as well! I will most definitely go back!

I like the cozy ambient in this nice restaurant right next to their sister restaurant Ocean. We had a great time and enjoyable girls night out dinner with delicious food, and good attentive service. For appetizers we tried Wild & Foraged Mushroom and Octopus “alla ligure”, both were good and tasty. Pappardelle all’astice was delicious, and the Sweet Corn Risotto was flavorful and not too heavy which I love! The Grilled Salmon was pretty good too and for dessert we really enjoyed the tiramisu.

My partner and I enjoyed an excellent meal at Carlotto on opening night. We dined at the sister restaurant (Oceans) and knew this would be an excellent Italian addition to the neighborhood. The restaurant has a chic and beautiful atmosphere, the server and entire staff were extremely friendly, accommodating, and informative about the food menu and drinks. The menu has a great variety of cocktails, wines, shareable plates, several great pasta options and main dishes. We opted for sharables plates and pastas this time around. We ordered crispy pork polpettine, polpette della nonna, mafaldine limone, rigatoni neri, and tagliatelle ragu cinghiale. Every dish was delicious and perfectly cooked and presented. The tiramisu and complimentary fruit dish for dessert were also excellent, as were our drinks. We highly recommend Carlotto and will definitely be back!

4.5 stars Ambience: feels like a classic NYC upscale restaurant movie set. Great for date night, girls/guys night, small gatherings. While they can do large parties, this would need to be booked in advanced given the limited tables. Large bar with seating Service: outstanding. Felt like we had Michelin star service the whole night. Drinks: extensive wine list. The late checkout was delicious, strong, but also light. Perfect summer drink. Also they have a happy hour :) Food: Must order: -garlic toast with anchovies and butter. It was decadent, delicious and a perfect bite of food. - calabrese: the spicy sausage elevated this dish above the others - lasagna - strawberry Verrina was light The roast cauliflower was excellent and a great side dish to the main meals. Good but could skip: ragu cinghiale, beef carpaccio, veal chop I would go back and try other dishes as they had an extensive menu.

The appetizers were better than the mains. Ambiance is great and service by Dennis was fantastic, the other one not so much. Espresso martini was good and whatever the dessert drink was which they have over a 100 selection of which I think was rucollino smelled like jaeger which put me off but it was ok and went well with the tiramisu which was good. The Vulcan drink tasted like an old fashion which was good but not what I was expecting. The creme cacao had no presence in the drink. The carpaccio was fantastic. Salty but great. The burrata was delicious and creamy with enough oil and the prosciutto with white gold parmigiana was excellent. The lasagna was just ok. The malfadini was disappointing as had an off taste of bad seafood which came from the lobster but was still edible and ok. Surprising as the sister restaurant was oceans so your seafood should be cared for better. The rigatoni and the pappardelle was better for sure. The wild boar was not that plentiful. I feel like each main was just missing the mark. The verrina was so delicious and sweet. Sorbet really made it. All in all not bad

Third time dining at Carlotto. It just keeps getting better with each visit. You must try the homemade breads. We had the focaccia served with butter and EVOO to start. I could probably eat an entire loaf with no problem. There are 2 other breads as well and I'm looking forward to trying them next time. I then had the wild foraged mushrooms with prosciutto bits and warm egg. That hit taste buds I didn't know I had. My friend had the roasted beet salad to start. The presentation of both appetizers was beautiful and maximally satisfying. Moving on to mains, I ordered the bone in veal chop Parmesan (pic included) which was so big that I thought I'd need a bigger plate. Needless to say, I couldn't finish the whole thing so I had the rest the next day which was still a lot. I had no room left for dessert, so I just had an espresso and a glass of Sambuca. My friend had the homemade ice cream which, by the way she devoured it so quickly, must have been delicious. I love the decor and ambiance of Carlotto. The feel of it is like being in a haute restaurant in Italy. The service was impeccable. A special thanks to Sol, our server. She truly embodied quality, professionalism and friendly and thoughtful attentiveness.

Visited Carlotto for a special occasion dinner and had pleasant time. Upon entry the ambience is warm yet classy with a sleek look. Perfect for a dinner date. It was full on a Saturday night so I recommend making reservations although there were walk-ins sitting at the bar. Ordered the focaccia bread, lobster pasta and the lasagna. Bread was a bit salty but soft with a crispy exterior. Lobster pasta was light and refreshing. The lasagna was a bit underwhelming, top layer was charred. I think it was overcooked which made the dish a bit dry overall but had a nice taste. The tiramisu was great! Mostly 4/5 because of the restaurant itself and service.

This restaurant is a great date spot! Located right in Gramercy with perfectly dim lighting and great ambiance. I really liked how there was enough space between tables so you could not overheard conversations or bump into people. We originally had a reservation for 4 people, but 2 members of the party had to cancel last minute. The staff at Carlotto were very understanding when we called beforehand and let us change the reservation to 2 people. We came here on a Monday night at 6:30pm during a three day holiday weekend in February. It definitely was not super crowded but got busier as we sat there. The reservation was not hard to get, but I can imagine this place being busier on the weekend, so like any other NYC restaurant, I would recommend having a reservation beforehand. To start off, we ordered the Beef + Veal Meatballs and the Caesar Salad. The meatballs tasted great, but my favorite appetizer was the salad. This had the perfect ratio of croutons to salad and was a great way to kick off the meal. We then ordered the Lobster Pasta and Ragu to share. The Lobster Pasta was absolutely incredible! It was so flavorful and a great portion size as well. Carlotto definitely did not skimp out on the amount of lobster in the pasta! I honestly was not a huge fan of the Ragu, but I think that was a personal preference as the other person at the table really enjoyed the Ragu. To top off the meal, we ordered the Afogatto. This tasted great!! The ice cream espresso dessert was definitely to die for. I would highly recommend going to Carlotto! The food, vibes, and service were all great.

Went here for a girls dinner and sat at the bar- we had an absolutely delicious meal and even better service! Michael was a delight and enhanced our experience so much! He remember our names and brought top notch service from start to finish. Not only that, but he made me one of the best espresso martinis (with mezcal) that I've had! The potato's were incredible - having made them before, I know the effort required to get those layers - worth the price. The pasta was delicious and had a great balance of spice and flavor. I'd happily return here for another meal - so many other delicious items on the menu I need to try!

The pasta was great! Delicious and almost al dente. We had the lobster pasta and the ragu pasta. The tiramisu was good too. The antipasta (artichoke) was the weakest dish. The downside of this restaurant is the noise level. It would be the reason that we'd think twice about returning. It was unhealthily loud.

I came here for restaurant week with a friend. The restaurant is beautiful and inviting. It's very easy to sit for hours chatting. The service here is excellent. They do a proper coat check, the waiter checks in on you always in the right way. The food came out at the right pace and the plates were not even attempted to be cleared before everyone is done . They also change out your silverware after each course which is a plus. I felt amazing dining here. I started off with the crudo whoch is not the normal crudo (tuna) that they have on the regular menu. I did enjoy the crudo both in its playing and flavor profile. My friend thought the Cesar was generously sized and had lots of great parmigiana cheese which she loved. The second course I had the branzino. The fish was cooked and seasoned very well. What I was not a fan of was the accompaniments that felt over pickled or vinegary. Also it was burying the fish and I couldn't understand why, wish the dish was with a side of grilled lemon butter veggies or parsnip puree or potatoes anything would have been better. My guest said the wild boar ragu was good. She wished it was beef or pork instead of the boar as she found it a little gamey, but still enjoyed the meal. We both finished with an affogato that was delicious. I did forget to note that my guest ordered the margarita and she said it was superb and strong. I had the Cabernet blend that I thought was good but I like a true Cabernet better.

Chic, upscale and hip vibe at this new-ish Italian spot in the neighborhood. My friends and a I came for an early (5 pm) dinner on Easter Sunday and while it was the perfect spot for a fancy occasion, it would also be a great place to grab a drink/bite at the bar on a more casual night out (I will definitely be back for happy hour, which is 5-6 from Tuesday to Saturday but 5 pm to CLOSE on Sunday and Monday). For 3 people, 2 starters, a vegetable and 2 pastas (1 pasta + 1 risotto to be exact) was the perfect amount (although we were too full for dessert, so be sure to save space if you are a dessert person): House Made Focaccia (marinated olives) - I wasn't blown away by this focaccia (disclaimer: I dislike olives so I only ate the focaccia), but it was a nice way to start the meal, especially dipped in the olive oil it is served with. Crispy Pork Polpettine (salsa verde) - Served like mini pork meatballs with a pesto like sauce, this was just a bite but I highle enjoyed it. Crispy Potatoes "Millefolgie" (perigord truffle, parmigiano) - One of the most interesting presentations I have seen for potatoes, these potatoes are served in two layered "blocks". Also very tasty. Risotto ai Funghi Porcini (porcini ragu, truffle butter, parmigiano) - Can't go wrong with a risotto with truffle in my book, so this was a winner. Casarecce Calabrese (spicy 'nduja sausage, datterini tomatoes, basil, stracciatella) - Loved the spicy kick to this pasta, also a fan of this pasta. Overall I would say that the standouts are the pastas, as should be the case at any proper Italian restaurant.

Carlotto is the perfect place to grab a late night drink, or dinner with friends. Everything from the food to the service at Carlotto is excellent. I have been to Carlotto a few times now, and most recently had dinner with my boyfriend and a friend; we were all blown away by the food and the gorgeous ambiance. When you enter Carlotto you cannot help but notice the beautiful architecture, from the arched ceiling to the wine storage, it truly is visually stunning. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Here is what we had: To start: - house made foccacia (some of the best focaccia bread I have ever had) - burrata pugliese (perfect choice for the table and went great with the focaccia) Main Courses: - rigatoni alla gricia (love this dish, similar to a cacio e pepe, which I adore!) - risotto ai funghi porcini (my friend ordered this dish, and said that the truffle butter and ragu was amazing) - casarecce calabrese (the pasta was cooked perfectly and all the flavors of the sausage and stracciatella made the dish) Dessert: - tiramisu (could not stop eating! This is a must if you dine at Carlotto!) You will not be disappointed with whatever you order and I definitely plan on checking out other menu items soon. Looking forward to my next visit.

Great new neighborhood spot from the same group that owns Oceans next door. The ambiance and decor is intimate and lovely. We've been a few times now and have really enjoyed the food, cocktails, and service. Marvic, the manager of the restaurant, is terrific - polite and helpful. Service is super friendly and attentive. Food is delicious. They recently had a black & white truffle profiterole for truffle week that was incredible. One of the best desserts I have ever had. We especially love the Negroni creations. Highly recommend a visit. Food tips: Big Eye Tuna Crudo, Mozzarella di Bufala & Condimenti , black & white truffle profiterole (while it's still on the menu for truffle season) Drink tip: Rum Negroni

Great atmosphere inside with really nice service. The food was delicious! I got the malfidine lobster pasta, which was buttery and filling. Only complaint is the waiter said he would bring bread over to the table (which was the yummy focaccia) but then charged us $7 for it! We didn't ask for it, and it was clear he knew that we thought he was saying he was bringing over complimentary bread :( Otherwise, really great vibes here!

Truly an amazing place for an elevated dinner or celebration. The staff continuously showed such hospitality throughout my party's arrival and throughout my friend's birthday celebration. The ambiance was a low lit large open room with high ceilings, with a bar area and a pleasant space to converse, never getting too loud or hard to hear. Our server Howard walked us through the wine and cocktails list and also let us know about the Restaurant Week menu which we weren't aware of but was very similar to their standard Dinner menu - we opted to share more larger dishes instead of each of our party of 5 selecting an antipasti, entree, and dessert separately. My favorite was the wild & foraged mushrooms with prosciutto and a poached egg. This was so flavorful and a perfect bite. The crispy artichokes and the zucchini blossoms were good as well, but I'd definitely try another antipasti next time. I enjoyed both pastas, they were al dente which is my preference. There was a decent portion in itself as well as lobster and sauce in each! The veal Parmesan is beautifully presented. I'll definitely be back, there is a Happy Hour!

Carlotto is a new elegantly decorated, spacious Italian restaurant in the neighborhood. I had a reservation for two on a Wednesday evening. Prior to arriving, it made it seem like we could only do the restaurant week menu during restaurant week. So I was surprised when the hostess asked us which menus we wanted to try. To make it easier, we stuck with the restaurant week menu, which was a 3 course affair for 60 dollars. For the appetizer, we shared the wild and foraged mushrooms and the zucchini blossom. They were both very good! I thought the zucchini blossom was very well done. The mushrooms were good but not as good as the mushroom app at L'artusi. For the main, we both opted for the pasta dishes. The portion size was decent. I enjoyed my tagliatelle and my friend liked her spicy rigatoni. The dessert menu was sad in comparison to the actual dessert menu on the regular menu. They gave you 2 actual dessert options of the adffogato al cafe and a summer berries dish. What was also interesting was when I calculated how much we would've paid for the 3 courses on the regular menu, it seemed to cost less than 60 dollars. For example, wild mushrooms 16 + spicy rigatoni 26 + affogato 12 for a total of 54 dollars..... so somehow for restaurant menu, we paid more than what we would've if we had just ordered from the regular menu. I didn't notice until writing this review to look up what we ordered. I kind of feel stupid now. But the food and ambiance were good enough to try at least once but maybe double check the actual prices of the courses you want on the restaurant menu and see if you can order them off the regular menu.

My god this place is good. Seems to be a well kept secret for now as it was largely empty when we went (walked in on a Sunday night at 5pm without a reservation and it was empty and stayed that way until we left around 6/630). The stars of the night were the house made focaccia (must get) and the pastas - we got the candele cacio e Pepe and the mafaldine all'astice (the lobster pasta). Absolutely amazing. We also really enjoyed the tiramisu. We also got the goat robiola cheese and the meatballs - both of which were good but probably wouldn't order again. The flavor of the meatballs and sauce were incredible but I wish they were a bit more firm. Will definitely return. Highly recommend!

Love! One my new fav restaurants in the city. The staff is all fantastic - from hosts, to servers to the Maître d'. Food is all excellent and great for sharing. It also is reasonably priced all things considering. It's a fun restaurant to come with a group and try a bunch of small plates but would also be great for a date or catching up with a friend. Drinks are great - the bartender makes a very solid martini and there are plenty of wines by the glass to choose from. Overall would highly recommend for pretty much any occasion!

I love that this placed is tucked behind Ocean's. It cozy, romantic, and in a great location. We've been here for dinner, happy hour, and post-dinner drinks on separate occasions. The staff is friendly (huge requirement for me concerning places and spaces) and one even remembered my fiancée and I from our last visit. Food doesn't disappoint, as we've had usually fish (me) steak and veal (fiancée) here. One thing that's a bit off-scale is their espresso martini for $24/25 from what I remember...While it was good, it wasn't the best I've had and personally should go for $20 max. We plan to keep this place in our lineup, as it is convenient and amazing.

What a beautiful gem tucked away on 19th street. The ambiance is giving date night vibes. The service was awesome, and the food was delicious. It's connected to Ocean restaurant. I will be back

Really nice restaurant with great ambiance and the service was very good. However the food was not the quality we were hoping for. With the exception of the veal parm portions were small and prices were high. We were a party of 4 and all thought the food was less than good. I was really looking forward to the veal chop but it came out lukewarm and lacked flavor. The bathrooms were confusing with an electric panel on the wall to flush which was not working.

Highly recommend, great food and amazing service! Gets busy on a Friday or weekend nights, so make sure to make a reservation!

We LOVE Carlotto! Everything is fantastic. The food, the service, vibes, cocktails - highly recommend for a night out with friends, date night, birthday dinner. The Mille feuille potatoes are great, so the steak is steakhouse quality.

This place is fairly new. Inside is very modern with an open kitchen. Appetizers and pasta were super tasty. Entree and risotto fell a little short. Veal Parmesan was huge. Wish it was a bit thicker and with more sauce. Risotto was too watery and little bland. I specially love the beef carpaccio, octopus, and the lobster pasta. The beef was so tender, and the creaminess of the cheese along with the truffle together was like a party in mouth. The octopus was cooked perfectly, and the green bean with basil pesto really complimented it. Who doesn't like a good al dente lobster pasta, which Carlotto delivered. It's definitely one of the best Italian I had for a while.

Great dinner in Flatiron. The service was very helpful, but not overbearing. Food came out quick. Started with the focaccia which was soft and spongy, delicious bread. The rigatoni calebrese was incredible, slightly spicy, but won't burn your mouth off. Burrata was a nice touch too. Only downside was they automatically give you a bottle of still water that costs $10! Oh well, our fault for not asking. Still didn't damper a great dinner. Will definitely be back.

Ok let me start off by saying the food is excellent. Loved the potatoes, the veal, the pasta & wow the tiramisu was great!!! **Unfortunately, I did want to leave this place 3 stars but decided to give 4 stars because the food is worth 5 stars. My problem was the drinks. They were awful. We didn't even drink our drinks and the server didn't take them off the bill. So we paid for drinks we didn't even drink, which is weird. I've never been to a restaurant that left drinks on a bill that were complained about and not drank.** We expressed our concerns with the server who still didn't remove the drinks after he saw we legitimately didn't drink them. The female manager knew we were unhappy, yet she didn't even come to check on the issue, she just sat there at the bar on the laptop. So, overall, I'm not sure if I'd come back. That really rubbed me the wrong way! Sad because the food is actually good. We ordered a ton of things, we do that everywhere we go, and we've never encountered that! I included the bill just to prove that we ordered a ton of stuff so it's not like we were complaining about drinks to scam or something. The "verde" drinks were just BAD!!!!

Carlotto is a new Italian restaurant from the owners of Oceans. Located right next to Oceans, Carlotto has a more intimate and relaxed feel than its older sibling. The service is equally excellent. The food is very good. Overall an excellent meal. Given the plethora of Italian restaurants in Manhattan it will be difficult to standout, but it is very good. We will be back.

My third time here and love it . Normally I sat in the dining area but after meeting Sam and Michael I am hooked to the bar spot ! They are so friendly and helpful ! Makes you not want to leave

Ugh, love Carlotto. The ambiance is stunning and the food is even better. My first visit there was during restaurant week which was a pleasant surprise. The pastas are *amazing*. I've had the casarecce calabrese (swooooon) and the tagliatelle ragu. Both were excellent but the casarecce with the stracciatella on top really made me black out. The staff is always lovely as well as the bartenders - highly recommend when you're in the mood for excellent, unique pasta dishes.

Saw this restaurant in this week's Eater's best new restaurant openings and I love their sister restaurant Oceans (check out my review) so I thought I'd give it a shot! Snagged their first slot of the night, a 5:15 reservation. We were seated promptly right near their open kitchen so we were able to get a great view of the chefs as they worked. The restaurant is smaller with a more intimate feel than Oceans (also at a lower price point) and that somehow came across in the food! We had an amazing server, Nicky, who walked us through the entire menu and gave us detailed recommendations on drinks and food. She recommended that we get a few items from each part of the menu to share so we did just that. The food: Italian Radicchio: This is essentially a salad but one of the best I've had so far this year. Initially, I was weirded out by the idea of the little pickles and mustard but they played nicely with the crispy pieces of pork and added a good counterpoint for the bitter notes of the radicchio. Beef Carpaccio: This was my friend's first introduction to Carpaccio and she thought it was a good one! We tried to eat this with a layer of each component, beef, pecorino, truffle aioli, and mushroom. The pickled mushrooms were the star here as they were bright and flavorful and we just wanted more of them but overall a good dish. Polpette Della Nona: Juicy tender meatballs in a nice red sauce. Be warned, there are only three on this plate, and lots of sauce. We took another reviewer's advice and ordered the focaccia bread to soak up the sauce! Highly recommend! (Just a note, this same bread is free at Oceans I believe, but you have to pay $8 for it here.) Tagliatelle Ragu Cinghiale: Nothing to write home about here. Solid ragu, boar meat was tender and the sauce was flavorful with lots of veggies peppered throughout. Mafaldine Limone: This Dungeness crab pasta was a hit for us! The crab was light and sweet and the garlic pesto created a perfect sauce for this dish. The almonds added a beautiful texture. If there was some complaint we had, we thought there could have been more lemon for a nice pop of acid. Branzino: This came to us as a surprise but we weren't mad at it. We loved the broth and vegetables more than the fish (the stewed tomatoes were to die for) but the cook on the fish was excellent and the mussels were nice little additions. Scallops special: This was our favorite dish of the night. Three little delicious scallops on a bed of fava beans, pickled ramps, and a delicious lemon butter sauce. We wanted to drink the bowl! The scallops were like butter. Hopefully, they will make this a permanent part of the menu. Filet mignon: I try not to order steaks at restaurants if that's not their specialty but I thought it was solid. Delicious roasted veggies and bright chimichurri on the side for dipping. My friends said this was the best steak they've had in a long time. Take that for what you will. Grilled Artichokes: We got this as a veggie to go with all the pasta and meats. Honestly, we didn't really enjoy them. While crispy, they lacked any other flavor for us. We'd skip them next time. Strawberries & Cream Verrin: The best thing I had all night. The raspberry sorbet was sweet, bright, and refreshing. I loved the strawberry granita (think frozen slices of fresh strawberries). Tbh, didn't even notice the pistachio dacquoise but the whipped cream was the perfect topping. I could eat this again and again and never be bored. Tiramisu: Again, very solid tiramisu. Nothing new here but very good! Affogato: We were also given this for free and it was also delicious but we were so wowed by the strawberries and cream that we didn't get to it fast enough. TLDR: Go now before it becomes too hard to get a reservation! Order the radicchio, the meatballs (with the focaccia!), the Dungeness crab pasta, the scallops dish if they still have it, and the strawberries and cream. Get seated with Nicky if you can, she's amazing! You'll have a great night. I'll certainly be back if can. Overall: 4.5/5 stars!

We had one of our favorite dinners at Carlotta. Excellent food & service. We were very impressed.

Food was incredible. Service was okay, not the most friendly but he warmed up as time went on. Ambiance is nice it's perfect for a date night.

We had a very good meal here. The appetizer portions were small but everything was delicious and we enjoyed being able to try multiple items. Our favorite entree was the veal parmigiana.

Food is good - some dishes better than others (we liked their lobster pasta the least - their branzino was great) service is great and ambiance great - prices high but not crazy. Would I go again? Probably no to be honest

This restaurant is really grand from the atmosphere to service. I really like to seat down and enjoy my meal. The appetizer is great. Almost everything taste perfect. The paste is their specialty. Only problem is the veal isn't that great. It tastes like dry pork katsu to me.

We came here for restaurant week and although the menu was limited, the food was great! We really enjoyed the appetizers (mushrooms and salad) and also the seafood pasta was amazing. The ragu wasn't my favorite but it was still flavorful! Overall great drinks and great date night spot

Carlotto was delicious! The drinks, food Nd service were top notch. The beef carpaccio was one of the best I've ever had as was the octopus. For. Main I had the rigatoni which was delicious. My friend had the branzino which looked excellent! If you're trying a cocktail definitely try the verde! We will definitely be coming back!

We had a phenomenal experience at Carlotto. Veer was our server for the night and he was very knowledgeable with the menu and very kind and personable which made our experience that much better. Michaels your pro behind the bar who whipped us up some tasty cocktails before we switched over to a bottle of white for the night. The meatballs and pinsa romana are definitely a must. For our mains we had the sweet corn risotto and the malfaldine which were just next level. For dessert we ended with the affogato which if you like espresso, this is definitely a must try. The service and ambiance went above and beyond our expectations. We will definitely be back in the future!

Absolutely a fabulous place for high end Italian food I had the veal parm.... Everyone had pasta s and didn't share Fabulous Italian wine and great staff and they care if you are happy We met the owner and he was watching over the tables and his name is Mr Chan.. not familiar with his Italian heritage but he delivers a great Italian feast Congratulations

Beautiful room although the ambiance is a bit quiet. Service is good and they were kind. They squeezed us in but said we had to be out by a certain time for another reservation and we were very close to the time and they didn't rush us out. I think we did see them kind of hover around to close out our table but we knew our time was up and they were not rude about it nor did they mention it at all. What we ordered: - focaccia is amazing. The butter this place has is just out of this world. Highly recommend. It's not too heavy so don't worry about it ruining your meal. - the cantabrian anchovies and butter on garlic toast is WOW. Wanting to go back just for that and almost ordered it again towards the end of my meal. Even the ones who didn't like anchovies loved it. 10/10 - stuffed zucchini flowers were... not good. I love a zucchini flower stuffed with cheese and order it almost every time I see it on a menu. But this was just not good. Way too much batter and I hardly tasted anything else. The word "stuffed" was hardly that. Do not recommend. - lasagna was good. My friend loved it and it had this crispy top layer.. he devoured it. - sweet corn risotto was good.. a few of us got it at the table but everyone agreed that it needed a pinch more salt and we all wished it was a bit more savory. It was good nonetheless. I'll need to come again with a group without food restrictions so we can order more. But so far so good!

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Everything was fantastic. Must haves - Octopus, risotto were unbelievable as well as the tortellini filled with squash. Balance of taste was perfect and just tickled my palate. Service was great as well as the atmosphere and vibe (perfect balance of elegant, sexy, and relaxed). The Manager was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. This place puts the overhyped Misi to shame, 10 out of 10 recommend going before this place gets too well known and hard to get a reservation.

Delicious food and such a moody atmosphere! The restaurant is smaller and intimate - perfect for date night. The pasta was absolutely amazing, and the hazelnut croccante was a perfect dessert to end the meal with. I definitely recommend giving this place a try!

The pasta here is house made. Particularly good was the rigatoni and the casareece di mare. Also good was the casareece di mare and the zucchini blossems. for discsert we had the strawberries with zabaglione and the affograto. Service and ambiance were good.

Amazing service. The staff, especially the bartenders (Michael and Jose), not only remembered us but recommend food and drinks that far exceeded all of our expectations. The veal parmesan was our favorite. Fantastic experience. Can't wait to come back. Will be a NYC staple.

Great spot, as expected from the Toptable team. Potentially a new go-to in an area with already great food. Stopped in on Saturday night during their soft opening. Atmosphere is buzzy, but not too loud. Venue is welcoming, well decorated. I believe it's one of the former back rooms of Oceans. Both on-and off-menu cocktails were done well. We had a few classics: negroni, boulevardier, a few palomas. No misses on the food: burrata was memorably good. Two pasta dishes (ravioli and a ragu) were delicious. Dessert (strawberry granita?) was a surprise hit. Service was knowledgable and friendly. Felt very polished for the first week of service. A return visit in order over the next few weeks.

the manager david was pompous and didn't know about the wine menu when we asked for suggestions. he tried to recommended the most expensive one on the menu that ended up being the exact opposite of what we asked for or wanted but said he was a trained sommeilier the food was ok but you can get better at the tourist spots in little italy. it is giving very much to be fancy and the decor looks like an airport lounge. really expensive for such a cheap experience

We loved this local Italian restaurant. The lighting sets a great mood for either girls night out, date night, or even family gathering. The food is absolutely delicious. Cocktails are sumptuous. Service was 5 stars. Overall, if I lived around the corner, I'd be in serious trouble because I would eat there 2-3x a week minimum! Go for the vibe, service and delicious Italian food.

Fantastic meal last night at Carlotto. The wonderful hostess Jade could not have been nicer and seated us at an awesome table. Marvick who was our server at Oceans previously is now the manager and did an exceptional job making conversation, recommending dishes and the of course providing us with some delicious samples. Jorge was a great server. Special thanks to David Schneider for always making us feel welcome. Aaron recommend a fantastic small producer wine run by 4 women from Sardinia. Highly recommend the : beef carpaccio, artichokes, rigatoni in squid ink, Branzino and burrata. Thanks Top Table for another great experience.
