Seattle’s New Restaurant Openings - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Carmelo’s debuted their third location—their biggest one yet. The Capitol Hill counter service restaurant is located on Broadway, near Dick’s and the light rail station. We’re not mad at having another spot to enjoy their fantastic breakfast burritos and al pastor tacos." - kayla sager riley, gabe guarente, aimee rizzo

The 11 Best Breakfast Burritos In Seattle - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Hungover college students may be the prime target for these breakfast burritos near Seattle University. But really, they work wonders for anyone. These hefty wraps are available starting at 8am and have three filling choices: red chorizo, chorizo verde, and bacon. All are tasty, but the red chorizo stands out. It's a little sweet and smoky, which pairs nicely with saltier elements like melty cheese, refried beans, and chunks of herby breakfast potatoes. Drizzle over some chunky salsa verde and you may never come to Carmelo’s for anything else." - kayla sager riley, gabe guarente, aimee rizzo

This Carmelo's location was a tad slow for our in house order and had limited seating. The food however was the same Carmelo's taste and quality which was great to see - for sure a fan of their queso.

I love that there is now another Carmelo's Tacos. This one is closer to where I call home. I love their taco's, tho they have added to their menu selection since my brother has introduced me to Carmelo's. This place is always packed, so be prepared to wait. Their taco's are the best in Seattle. I really love their fermented veggies. They are made fresh. I always order their Carne Asada taco's with all the fixings with a Mexican Coke.

Really good stuff. Got the tacos of course, few different flavors, all of them great. What really did it for me were the homemade tortillas, they were amazinggg I could totally taste the freshness and authenticity of them. Horchata was also great. Yeah everything was good, def a top spot for tacos. 👌

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat while exploring Capital Hill and I was impressed! I got a chicken taco and it cost me right around $4. It was phenomenal, and cheap, which is hard to find around Seattle. Service took awhile since it was busy, but that just means it's good. 5/26/25

I'd say you won't find much better than this when it comes to decent Mexican food in Seattle. It's not amazing, but it's solid and hits the spot when craving some tacos. The tortillas are delicious and the flavor is good. Like it better than Tacos Chukis. Horchata is great, but pricey at $5. The agua de Jamaica is too sweet but can water it down. Still need to try the burrito though. Service is friendly and fairly prompt. Atmosphere is normal. Small place.

Love this new location and the ability to eat inside. The meats are very tasty but not outstanding in flavor or tenderness (the suadero is really good), and the tortillas and salsas are fantastic. For a quick bite, Carmelo’s is my favorite in the Broadway Cap Hill area.

Carmelo's Tacos has a new location - where Starbucks used to be, across from Al Bacha and a 1 min walk from the train station. The place is spacious with a good amount of tables, occupying the inner perimeter areas. If you go at night during the weekend, you will most likely encounter interesting characters who are either inebriated or... One thing to note is the bathroom is kinda filthy. As for service, the ladies at the counter were fast and efficient. Got our order in a reasonable amount of time. Ordered the al pastor quesadilla served w/ three sauces and beef mulita. The quesadilla was pretty good. Meaty with gooey cheese goodness. My better half said the mulita was okay. Overall rating for this specific location: 7.8/10 (I still prefer them over Tacos Chukis and will go to the original location, going forward.) Follow me on Instagram: richieeatsalot
