The most amazing part of our visit to Carmine was definitely the ambience.. warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed date night. Parking was convenient and validated, which made things even easier. The food was fantastic. I ordered the dish of the day, which was halibut, and it was cooked to perfection. As a tiramisu lover, I had high hopes for dessert and it did not disappoint. Drinks were great too, well-balanced and refreshing. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would absolutely recommend it!

Truly one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. Table was ready when we arrived - a table for two at an indoor/outdoor spot off the bar. Beautiful setting on a summer evening. Our server, Kellen, was fantastic. He offered great suggestions (the wine he suggested paired perfectly with my pasta choice) and was so personable! We shared the Misti salad - nice and light - with both the smaller size portions of gnocchi and spaghetti with goat cheese, pine nuts, spinach, tomato and place oil (delicious!!). We saved room for dessert and ordered the vanilla layer cake. It was unique - sponge cake with layers of cream topped with meringue - and truly unforgettable! Can’t wait to visit again the next time we’re in Bellevue.

Lovely atmosphere, perfect for both date nights and large groups. The service was excellent overall. We ordered the prawns with tomato primavera, which was decent but not particularly memorable. The pasta dishes were also just okay, nothing standout. One issue was that our server didn’t ask if we wanted small or large portions and defaulted to large, which we couldn’t finish and had to take to-go. That aside, the staff was attentive, and they may even offer a complimentary dessert for special occasions, which was a nice touch.

Very positively surprise by the food, location and service. As an Italian abroad, I am always a bit skeptical about Italian restaurant. However, I was positively surprised by the kitchen as they do not try to over do it. They offer plain simple and tasty dishes, from seafood to meat, from vegetables to pizza. Great selection of wine as well as great service. Kudos!

Google
As much as I enjoy good food/service/ambience, it's hard for a relatively expensive place to be worth it for me, but honestly, this place was. Probably not for a random Tuesday, but for date night or if someone special is visiting, definitely. Food was delicious, waiter made a couple funny comments and told us a fun story. The place was lively without feeling noisy, and when I left, I was happier than I was when I entered.

Celebrated my SIL’s birthday here and it was an amazing experience! Our server was able to customize vegetarian entrees for us and they were delicious. Highly recommend the Zuppa Di Cavolo soup. Tiramisu was also delicious😋 We sat in the patio and it was beautiful. Will definitely be returning

This is my second time at Carmines and although the food was mostly delicious it was hit and miss for me, the service was just not as attentive as my first visit This was a splurge date night for us and we were seated promptly (oh just real quick they have complementary validated parking at the 88 garage) and it was a reservation, we were seated near the bar and let’s just say the bartender was very um boisterous, that lasted the entire night with quite a bit of colorful language 🤣 so let’s get to the food Calamari Fritti 5/5 plentiful and beautifully cooked calamari, it’s honestly very dangerous to order as you’ll be tempted to stuff yourself and miss out on mains Ravioli Di Capriolo 6/5 A beautiful Venison filled ravioli that’s nestled in a delicious veal demi glaze. We had the small portion to share which is perfect and I would 100% order the full portion as a main and still have delicious leftovers to take home and be incredibly happy. An absolute must! Ossobuco 3/5 I was quite disappointed with this dish, it just didn’t hit as much as I’d liked it too. It’s cooked in a tomato base but still managed to not be fall off the bone tender, not sure if that was the objective but the veal felt a little dry? The pasta and veggie that accompanied felt so disjointed with the plate, all in all it lacked the flavor I was hoping for and didn’t feel thought through Anatra Arrosto Alle Ciliege 4/5 this duck breast and confit leg was very yummy, the duck jus was delicious, overall a very delicious preparation of duck the risotto was a miss however Profiteroles 3/5 this was a big reason why I wanted to come back as there are so few places that have profiteroles but I’d say you can afford to miss these. Although our waiter was kind enough to split the dish for us, the profiteroles were far too soft the ice cream nothing to rave about and I could do without whatever berry coulee was going on there Would I come back? no not for the price point, the food should have been better and the service should have been much better, waiting for our waiter to be done with other tables and hope he comes our way became quite an adventure. Ah well, fun times were still had

Google
Absolutely the best miso sauce surrounding perfectly cooked halibut I've ever tasted! It was served at a perfect temperature and the dish melted in my mouth. I also had the salmon and it did not disappoint. The service was spot on. It was my first time there and definitely not my last. Thank you for the perfect meal.

Yelp
Very upscale with pretty interior (beautiful lights and vines in the outdoor seating area) and a nice location right next to Bellevue Downtown Park. Wine list is very extensive, almost like a book. Only tried their pastas today - they were decent. Texture leans on the al dente side - flavors are there and pretty good. Lobster pappardelle had nice quality lobster meat that wasn't tough, sauce was creamy but light on lobster flavor. Veal ravioli meat was a bit tough on the inside but the sauce had nice mushroom flavor. A bit on the more expensive side but good service and ambiance for a more formal / celebratory occasion

Yelp
I hadn't been to Carmine's since their opening day--seven or eight years ago now? My last memory of the place was what you'd expect from a new restaurant. Clearly, a lot has changed since then! Came back recently and was pretty happy I gave it another shot. The food has definitely leveled up. We started with the calamari, which was honestly excellent--crispy, not greasy at all, and the kind of thing that disappears off the table in about two minutes flat. We had to order a second round. We also tried the mushroom pizza as a table and it was super "truffle-y" (in a good way). If you like mushrooms and a little bit of that earthy richness, it's definitely worth ordering. I went with the ravioli for my main, and it was fine--nothing to write home about, but it did the job. Meanwhile, someone else at our table got the duck, and it looked incredible. We wrapped up with the lemon meringue pie. It was good--nice and tart, with a solid meringue--but nothing particularly memorable or standout compared to the rest of the meal. All in all, though, Carmine's has come a long way since opening night, and I'd say it's definitely worth a visit now, especially if you're into calamari or truffle-y pizza.

Yelp
A perfect evening at Carmines. Everything we ordered was wonderful. The antipasti was a highlight. Especially loved the grain and beans included. The ceasar was well made. The squid ink pasta was spectacular. The new York with peppercorn sauce would have been perfect - but they no longer offer it with the tiny, crispy shoe string potatoes. I'm so sad! But it was the only sour note in an otherwise great meal from our fabulous cocktails and wine through dessert (that wedding cake was the surprise hit of the meal - who knew!?!

Yelp
we came here for a birthday celebration and we had the best time! It was a bit of a wait (friday night @ 8pm) we started with our drink order and i got an Italian paloma... so so so good! our waiter took our order off memory he was an older gentleman so i was blown away at his accuracy lol i ordered shrimp pesto and it was so creamy and delicious!!!! the place is very spacious lots of cute seating regardless of it being inside or outside, it was pretty loud in there so be prepared lol

Yelp
First tip: make a reservation! We decided to go last minute on a Saturday night and the wait was 3 hours! Wow! Luckily, they had open heated outdoor patio seating with no wait, so we opted for that. It may be the winter, but they had heat lamps and provided blankets to keep you warm all dinner. The service throughout the night was top tier, and they would bring us extra bread and butter, utensils, and even split our main entrees into two portions knowing that we'd want to share even without us asking! We were astounded by this 10/10 service. The food itself was also phenomenal. I can see why there is a 3 hour wait. The tartare was beautifully presented and tasted amazingly fresh. The sweetbreads are not only a rare find, but also so delicately cooked with a creamy side of risotto. The black squid ink pasta had a lot of seafood, perfectly al dente, and grated to preference cheese topping. What more can I say? Everything we ordered was spectacular. This is truly the place to be for a lovely fine dining yet homey Italian meal.

Yelp
I've clearly been living under a rock! What an exquisite and memorable experience. Ambiance: Strikes a perfect balance between sophistication and comfort, which makes it a great spot for special occasions, "casual" dinners, and I could imagine work-related/client meetings to impress. Service: Despite the high-end settings, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which added a warm touch to the evening. We sat at a table next to the window in the bar, which felt happening and intimate at the same time. Our server was fantastic and charming. Food: Every dish we tried was a masterpiece. From the perfectly al dente pasta to the rich (but not too rich) and flavorful sauces, each bite was amazing. I highly recommend the tartare, alfredo pesto with prawns, and off-menu carbonara! Mmmmmm! Overall, it's a true gem, one I plan to visit again. Combining elegance with a relaxed atmosphere, food that's nothing short of perfection with attention to detail in both presentation and taste, and employees who clearly take pride in what they have to offer, this was an exceptional dining experience!

Yelp
What can I say, but Carmines knows how to serve up a delicious meal! They have it down, from service to executing the perfect dish. Everything is so good, including the atmosphere! Definitely the place to celebrate or just enjoy a great casual weekday post shopping dinner!

Yelp
This place is absolutely beautiful. If you are being seated, it's worth sitting outside. I've seen multiple people eat here, so I wanted to give it a try. Service was great. They were super accommodating and tended to our needs. Easy going as well. The food was good. No complaints. I ordered some pasta dishes, but forgot to take photos as I was starving. The food was great and the price is fair. The portions are good to the point you don't overstuff yourself. Overall, I would go back!

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants that we've tried recently. Outdoor patio was very nice with heaters. Great variety of food, and I was especially in love with the fresh mozzarella on the pizza. Very busy, must make reservations well in advance!

Yelp
We visited Carmine's to celebrate a birthday. It is very popular, so it pays to get reservations well in advance. There is no parking at restaurant and not much street parking, so plan some time to walk after you park. It is very classy and a great choice to celebrate events. They also have excellent service. They have an extensive wine list. We had a nice Washington red. The bread basket is great--you could make a meal out of that. They have some interesting appetizers. One of them was a bruschetta trio--we liked the most traditional one with tomatoes and garlic, then one with avocado and salmon was great. However the one with the goat cheese and the tapenade was not so popular. Everyone loved the calamari that came with a great marinara sauce. Then we had a charcuterie board that had all kind of great treats on it, with a particular good choice of cheeses. For the main course, I had one of the specials which was a ravioli stuffed with mushrooms. The pasta was excellent--everyone loved their meals. The squid ink pasta was particularly popular. For dessert, we had the trio of cannoli. That was outstanding, all three were great. All the desserts were very popular--really try to save room. Definitely a great meal and experience-- we will be back.

Yelp
This restaurant is such a vibe! Great place to celebrate , catch up with your friends or just a business meal. We went here for anniversary lunch and The service was spectacular. The food was delicious and was served quite quickly. The calamari was outstanding. The pesto and vongole pasta was scrumptious too. The asparagus soup was hearty and filling. They do serve bread with butter with paired perfectly with the warm soup. Tiramisu was one of the best I have had. The liquor and espresso kick in it was transcendental. The cappuccino harmonized the entire meal together. This place will be even more enjoyable in summer with outdoor seating. Definitely making a come back ver soon.

Yelp
- cozy, good service.. food was alright - Food: 3 stars Service: 4 stars Price: 2 stars Ambiance: 4 stars Overall: 3.25 stars We celebrated my birthday here this year, but someone forgot to tell the restaurant that it's a special day *facepalm.* The waiter also didn't ask either, which is unlike the other highend places that I've been to. The free 4 hour parking was straightforward. You'd enter the parking lot from the small alley (NE 1st Pl) behind the restaurant, then enter your phone number. Upon entering the restaurant, you will see a huge QR code to validate parking, and you can do it whenever before you need to get out of the parking lot. They will scan your license plate to release you. It's quite smart imo. The restaurant has a cozy vibe, but they have an insanely high number of waiters and waitress walking around. We got our bread right away, but it came with butter instead of olive oil and balsamic vinegar, which was a bit disappointing. We ordered the Lombata Di Vitello Al Rosmarino ($68), grilled veal with risotto, and squid ink Jonnarelli Di Mare ($33 for large), squid ink pasta with seafood. The food took a while even though the restaurant was less than 50% full at 6pm. They split plates for us already, so we didn't have to split anything. The squid ink pasta came first and it was delicious. However, I didn't think it's anymore impressive than the clam pasta at the pink door. I vaguely remember the price at the pink door for that dish was lower as well. We waited for a long time for the veal, but it was a bit underwhelming. I enjoyed the root vegetables more on the side than the actual dish. The risotto was just okay as well. I'd recommend skipping this one. Overall a nice dining experience, but I didn't feel like I was celebrating my birthday since my husband is private. Maybe I should make my own reservation next time to get the treatment (or complimentary tiramisu) that I deserve lol. They do have 2 small biscottis in a paper box for you to enjoy when you leave though.. just watch out since one of them might chip your teeth lol..

Yelp
There were 5 of us, we spent $600 and it was just OK. Nothing was special all just mediocre. Gnocchi, halibut, cioppino, pizza all mid. The only outstanding plate was the bolognese. Desserts were too sweet.

Yelp
Went here for a friends birthday and it was a nice place! The service was so nice and friendly and especially so nice to my friend for her birthday. All of the service was so prompt and nice and quick, we were def impressed. All of our pastas were also really good, I really liked my clams and they brought extra plates and spoons so I could eat it more neatly. They even asked about fresher cracked pepper and cheese and did all that. One of my friends was gluten free and they were happy to accommodate as well! I did find the birthdays dessert to taste kind of watery?? But it was free so will not complain. Overall would come back.

Yelp
I've been wanting to dine here for quite some time. I had a friend visiting from San Diego and figured this would be a perfect opportunity. I called and made reservations. The only thing they had available was on the patio. Which happens to be covered and heated. An a lot less noisy then sitting inside. They offer an extensive wine list, which was great. The food was incredible. I look forward to trying II Terrazo Carmine

Yelp
We mostly ordered from the specials Lobster Pappardale - can taste the lobster and plentiful of pieces! Wagyu Tartare - absolutely delicious Burrata Prosciutto - flavorful Ambiance was very beautiful Great service Solid first date I'd say

Yelp
Hands down, STILL the best Italian restaurant on the Eastside. I'm updating my review. We came with no reservation because we' were just walking in downtown park and could see through their windows they had a lot of tables open. When we went in to check around 5:30pm on a Saturday, the hostess said all the tables were reserved. But we could sit at the counter (either bar area or in the main dining room). I was really hesitant because I thought it would compromise the intimate atmosphere and vibe but we still went with the counter seats in the main dining room. Let me tell you... nothing was compromised. I still felt like it was an intimate setting and though two people dined at the counter as well, the counters were long enough where we had a good space of distance for "privacy." We could also see exactly what the kitchen staff was doing and was amazed at seeing how quickly staff was tossing the salad and putting out dishes. It was fun to watch them plate. We love Carmine's because you can split portions. We split the fag. Bean soup, split Caesar salad (highly recommend), and also the clam linguini. Also we loved the fresh warm bread and butter! We ask for olive oil and vinegar on the side and it was wonderful!!! Carmine's is one of our favorites and I was so happy to get bar seating even though we didn't have a reservation. If you want a private table, better make a reservation because this place is always packed. We normally come for dinner but would love to come for a lunch sometime. They also do anniversary/bday desserts and plate it beautifully. Thank you Carmine's! From the service, to the food, to the cute free biscotti's at the front hostess desk, everything is perfection.

Yelp
This upscale restaurant is great to celebrate a birthday or occasion! Great mood lighting and our server Matthew was accommodating, playful and attentive! We had apps at Ascend prior to coming here and I was presently surprised with the portion sizes and prices for an upscale restaurant like this! My rigatoni bolognese was the perfect portion and a classic dish done well!

Yelp
A group of friends and I went to Carmine's to celebrate a friends birthday. It was very busy, so you definitely need a reservation. When we sat down, there was a small birthday card on the table. I love the personalized touch! I ordered the small gluten free pesto pasta with shrimp. My pasta came with only two shrimp which was pretty disappointing. Next time I visit I would definitely order the large. The restaurant is bustling with waiters constantly running around, this being said the wait staff were attentive. I forgot to ask for gluten free originally and we were able to flag a staff member down quickly. The bathrooms were also clean and fully stocked. This is a great place to celebrate a birthday or a date night.
google avatar

Noe C.

Yelp
found this place looking for a cute date night and it did not disappoint. we were a walk in for dinner during the week and we got a table almost immediately. Dress code is more dressy and leans towards business casual. pretty lights and plenty of seating within restaurant. Our server was amazing and had plenty of recommendations as first time goers here. there pastas are above averagely priced but is expected for a restaurant like this. I had a steak dinner which was the chefs special for the night and it was really delicious. Portions were bigger than I imagined so good bang for the buck. I would definitely recommend trying there appetizers and at least one of their pastas alongside dessert. would come back if I ever was in the area again!

Yelp
I came here to celebrate my wife's birthday and my son's first visit to my childhood city, Seattle! Carmines is an upscale Italian restaurant just outside of Bellevue Park and a short walk from the busy shopping malls like Bellevue Square and Lincoln Center. Street parking is hard to find and the surrounding area is dark at night, so use their $12 valet. Note the restaurant is NOT the same Carmine's at the one in New York or Caesars Palace Forum Shops in Vegas. We went to that Carmine's last November and those entrees were so big you need 3-4 adults to finish one. The Bellevue Carmine's has much smaller, but equally high-quality entrees. You'll have room for dessert for sure! The Vodka-Cream King Salmon with Penne is a superb dish, and yes its okay for toddlers too. The alcohol should mostly be evaporated leaving a rich, creamy sauce and super-soft and moist salmon (5 stars) Cedar Plank King Salmon is another wonderful preparation of you like things alacarte like me. Super moist Salmon with cheesy linguine on the side and asparagus and baby tomatoes are a winning combination. (5 stars). Wife got the pork chip, medium well. Good flavors but probably better cooked medium to squeeze some more juice out of the meat. It came with some nice risotto so you're not missing out on carbs (4 stars). For dessert, you can't go wrong with either the panna cotta or the red velvet cake. Our son ate a good portion of mom's birthday cake.
google avatar

Jon O.

Yelp
Wonderful Italian food in downtown Bellevue! I had the filet and gnocchi combination, and the gnocchi was so pillow soft and flavorful. I could eat another two bowls of that alone. Steak was decent but not outstanding. My wife had a special of the day, a pappardelle with generous chunks of lobster tail and tender pasta in a delicious sauce. My daughter had the risotto with crab and that had lots of crab meat and if you like truffle flavor you'll love this one! To finish they gave us a house-made tiramisu for our anniversary, which was light yet rich, and a perfect way to end our meal. But the thing that really set our evening apart was the great service. This includes the people greeting us at the front door and patiently explaining how to get our parking validated, to our server that described each dish and answered our questions, and all the support staff that filled our waters quickly and took our dishes away. They all made the experience memorable. If I'm being picky the two issues were the dining area is very loud because the ceilings are low and the tables are close to each other (wait staff were bumping our chairs to pass by), and prices are high for the quantity you get. But honestly what dining experience isn't expensive nowadays, and at Carmine's I will gladly pay to dine here again!

Yelp
Paulo is the best and the food is some of the best in the area. Always order what Paulo recommends. He will never lead you in the wrong direction. Always love the feel and energy in this locations. Thank you everyone.

Yelp
Service: 3.5 stars Food: 5 stars Ambiance: 5 stars Let me begin saying that FOOD is AMAZING. All the dishes we ordered were out of this world. The lobster risotto was the best!! For dessert I'd recommend the tiramisu. Other good choices: fetuchini pesto with shrimp (gamberi)! Their cocktails are yum! Prices vary from $18 to $22 (as of 2023) And they have non alcoholic cocktails too $13. Reservations are highly recommended, this place is always packed. Great view and location in the heart of bellevue. The ambience is lovely!!! Sadly our server was not in a good mood or maybe she was not happy with our large party, because she seemed annoyed all the time we order something. We asked for extra marinara sauce and the server came back WARNING us that the extra sauce had an extra charge in a very rude way (?????) I mean, we were fine knowing that it might cost extra and we were willing to pay, but the way how she said it was not polite. And don't get me wrong, servers work very hard so maybe it was a tough day but we had a couple of tense moments with her. Other than that, I highly recommend this place for a special occasion. PS: They also will validate your parking ticket

Yelp
Our family favorite 5 stars for service and food Very nice ambiance dinner can get a little noisy Oh the bread is so delicious came nice and hot. The one thing I have not gotten the chance to try is the house made pizza will have to come back again

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Authentic, Italian cuisine with a wide range of choices. Bread wonderful with appropriate crust and texture. All courses meet highest expectations. Gracious and courteous service. One of my favorites. Very pleasant atmosphere

Yelp
Had a great time here on a Saturday night. It was a sunny day, so we had dinner on the patio. We ordered a bottle of white wine that was very good. For our appetizer, we chose an order of garlic bread. But then we got table bread and butter and wish we'd known that first. Our Caesar was crisp and fresh and delish. I always love when restaurants include Anchovies to their Cesar, and I'm slightly disappointed when this doesn't happen. So note to all Italian restaurants, offer Anchovies! The bolongnese was fantastic. Hearty and bursting w flavor. The pasta was amazing. The spaghetti dish I had was also delicious but paled in comparison. I can't remember what it was called, but was w olive oil. Recommend the patio for a great summer night out! Service was good as well and the manager came by a few times to check in.

Yelp
We went here to celebrate a birthday on our visit. Another review gave this restaurant a 3.5 for service and a 5 for food. I think that rating is spot on. The food is great! The lobster risotto was a special, and the gnocchi was tasty. The service definitely needs some polishing. The waiter's first words to us were, "So, what would you like?" There was no mention of the specials, no beverage inquiries...it seemed like he just wanted to get out of there. As it was a birthday, we called ahead and were told that they provide a complimentary dessert for the celebrant. The bill arrived with no dessert, so we had to inquire about the dessert even when we told the waiter we were celebrating a birthday. The restaurant provides a tasty biscotti/cookie gift on your way out. As you can guess, not provided by the waiter. One of us had to ask what the basket of wrapped items was for. At least for future guests, the waiter will probably be different, so it's good to know you will be getting delicious food, with the wildcard being service.

Yelp
My 9 year old daughter is fairly picky and I was hoping to find somewhere where she would find something she would eat, and I could find something gluten free. This place was amazing and delicious.

Yelp
We moved to Washington state two years ago, and ever since then, I have been attempting to dine at this restaurant. However, it has always been impossible to get a reservation as they are consistently fully booked. Finally, for my 50th birthday, my daughter managed to book a table, and I am extremely grateful that she did. All of the positive reviews I had read beforehand turned out to be true. The food at this restaurant is absolutely amazing, and the staff are equally exceptional. To add to the celebration, my daughter surprised me again by flying in my best friends from California to spend a weekend with us. We all dined at Carmine's in downtown Seattle, and once again, the food did not disappoint. The staff were just as amazing as at the other location, and the restaurant had a classy and beautiful ambience that added to the overall experience. While the Carmine's in Bellevue is also beautiful, the one in Seattle surpasses it in terms of elegance. I believe that this restaurant will now be our go-to choice for any future celebrations. In California, our preferred restaurant for special occasions was Ruth's Chris, but Carmine's has now taken its place.

Wow!!! I am amazed about this place. We had such a great time here. Meal was excellent! Everything was great :) I really recommend this place. We arrived with no problem and were seated right away. You can leave your coat at the entrance. The decor was welcoming and bright eventhough it was raining outside. Nice to see a ramp. We didn't wait to long to set and get our order. We were impressed of how delicious they were. I have to say that season was on point! One of the pasta sauces brought me to mind some of mexican seasoning which blends perfect with it and is very versatile with high end dishes. Capellini di mare, pesto rigatoni, ravioli, and gnocchi were part of our order. They all arrived warm and well served. The carretera salad was beautifully delivered. Simple but tasty. For dessert we had the lemon cake which was supposed to be the popular (I personally didn't like it that much. Very sugary for myself.), the best one which was a vanilla one but super fluffy and the best topping, and the red velvet (it was a bit caked but flavour was there :)). We had some coffee and chocolates. Please ask for them because they are delicious and could be a a great gift! This neighborhood is very busy. I think you have to make a reservation to get access code to the parking lot. But not a problem if your dinning in.

Yelp
My fiancée and I were finally able to try Carmine's on east side last night. We have been to Il Terrazzo in Seattle multiple times and we loved it there. Despite their original location being much more intimate, the Bellevue location is just as lovely. Our servers were quick in the beginning but service was much slower as it became busier throughout the evening. It wasn't anything they couldn't handle though and we still enjoyed our time anyways. The food is delicious. We both really enjoyed our main courses and I think we agree that the chicken was probably the better choice between that and the rack of lamb if you were forced to choose. Dessert was decent- the tiramisu was light and not too sweet, the spumoni had chocolate and pistachio bits along with cherry fruits and syrup. It's safe to say, both locations are amazing and well worth the dining experience!

Yelp
What went well- Amazing host! Super nice and welcoming. What didn't go so well- Service. Felt a bit rushed. Waitor did not go over specials until I asked if there were any. I ordered soup, an appetizer and a pasta. Soup quickly came. The appetizer took some time and the pasta never came. It got down to closing time and I asked for them to remove the pasta from the bill. Unfortunately this treatment is not unique as I've experienced similar treatment 2 weeks prior. Not sure if I have high unrealistic expectations or not but as I typically receive better treatment/experience even at the lower budget restaurants, I would assume I don't. I wasn't sure how to handle the tip because i don't want to satisfy the expection of tipping badly but on the other hand I don't want to reward bad behavior. In any event I settled on an 15% tip.

Yelp
Food was top notch and really delicious! We ordered a large Caesar salad, pork chops with spaghetti, rigatoni bolognese pasta, and original tiramisu. Everything was well-prepared, and high quality. The service was quick and courteous. The interior was elegant and clean. We left completely satisfied!

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place for a while, and finally got to come here on a date with my bf. Pretty restaurant with a nice atmosphere. We started off with cocktails and the Spinaci Soffritti. I got the Squid Ink Capellini Di Mare and my bf got the Spaghetti Di Finochio. Food was great and service was even better. Our waiter was excellent. We had a wonderful dinner experience.

Yelp
Definitely one of the best upscale places in Bellevue downtown. If not the best in food, it's definitely the best in service. Really amazed by the quality of service we had given it was my girlfriend's birthday. Thank you for taking good care. They arranged a Tiramisu cake and also gave us few biscoff on our way out. The desserts were amazing - tried Pannacota and Tiramisu really can't say which was better, both were outstanding. For the main course we had Gnocchi Sorrentina and Lennette Con Salmone. Gnocchi was splendid - it practically dissolves in the mouth. On the other hand Salmone was ordinary - can't say I was that impressed. Speaking of ambience - it was top notch.

Yelp
5 stars! The food was top tier! The lamb, OMG! The service amazing! I loved everything about this place, to the way the servers dressed and how cute it is inside.

Yelp
Spectacular. Needs to be rated more than five stars. The ambiance, service, and food all are spectacular and leave you wanting more. I'll need to book another trip to Seattle/Bellevue so that I can go back.

Yelp
Upscale Italian restaurant with an elegant ambiance and delicious food. This is a lovely place for date. We have celebrated birthdays and anniversaries here. Servers are very friendly and always willing to accommodate your dietary preferences. Their patio seating is a nice option. Biscotti at the front desk is amazing. They validate parking for the adjacent Park 88 garage.

Yelp
Excellent food, attentive service. Noise level can get a bit high when the restaurant is fully occupied.

Yelp
We thoroughly enjoy carmine's and have a great experience every time we visit. Massimo and Matthew are awesome servers! Food is great and house made pasta, yes please. My favorite is the bolognese. Tried a new appetizer on Monday this week, the house made pita. Omg it was fantastic, please keep that on the menu permanently! The place is always packed. Don't dare try to come without a reservation or you will wait a very long time. Plan your reservations well in advance or you will be subject to random leftover time slots that are typically super late, even on a weekday. Great spot. Great service, good ambiance. Always hopping. Definitely a Bellevue gem and a locals spot!

Yelp
4.5, rounding up to 5. Went to Carmines for my husbands birthday dinner. It was surprisingly crowded for a Tuesday night, but overall our experience was great. Loved the small touches like a little card and complementary dessert. The food was very good and pretty standard Italian stuff. Wish there were more pasta options. We enjoyed our drinks and the service was quick, but we never felt rushed. Overall, I would definitely come back!

Yelp
This is such a cute restaurant with outdoor and indoor seating. The outdoor patio seating is especially nice because you get a nice view of the park and can people watch. Customer service was great the whole night from waitress to waiters. The food is where I have some recs and skips. I ordered a small greens salad and it was the most plain salad ever. I would opt for a Caesar salad or soup next time if you want it to pair with your pasta. The calamari and charcuterie board were amazing and easy to share. All of our pastas were so good and no complaints from the group! I'd skip the dessert here next time. All of us were not a fan and we ordered the cream puffs, coconut pie, and mango cheesecake.

Yelp
What a classy and beautiful restaurant. The ambiance is very classic and chic place. Service was excellent too, they really go above and beyond if you are not happy with something. Food was delicious too, probably the best restaurant I have gone all wk so far. Very well balanced, presentation and tasty restaurant. Food: Appetizers: *calamari - crunchy and yummy * prosciutto and melon (good- just came back from Italy and it's hard to beat Italy!) entrées: *duck- wow, so good, even better then what I had in Paris! The breast part was delicious but the leg was a little dry for me... * fettuccine with Bolognese - fresh pasta, what can you say to that but amazing. ( my kid had this) * Ossu bucco ( looks good and was told it was very yummy, didn't have this) Dessert: * crème brûlée - was told it was delicious (didn't have it but the other 2 did). Everything was spot on and was a great dining experience from start to finish. Will be back again!

Yelp
Coming back to Carmine's a year after my last review was an absolutely wonderful experience. This time I went with some friends to celebrate the end of summer and tennis season. We made reservations two weeks in advance, which was necessary to snag a table during dinner time. We were immediately seated at an indoor table and given fresh bread to share. Our waiter was very nice and friendly. He had a good sense of humor too. Oh and he made sure to brush the crumbs off our table while we were eating too. I ordered a glass of Sauvignon blanc and the Pesto and Prawn Fettuccine. My companions ordered the gnocchi, Rigatoni Bolognese, and the Cannelloni. I was extremely happy with my order- the pasta was beautifully plated and was coated in the brightest green pesto I have ever seen. I have no idea how they do it, most pestos I have had just end up looking like green flakes on pasta. Needless to say, the pasta looked as good as it tasted and was cooked to al dente. Portions are medium sized, but I had some leftovers to take home- oh and did I mention they wrap your leftovers in a gift bag and red tissue paper!? So fancy. My companions were satisfied with their dishes too. We also ordered a tiramisu and semifreddo to share. Their tiramisu never fails to disappoint. However, the semifreddo was only okay. It was rich and creamy, but fell flat. The atmosphere was lively and every table was taken. The tables are quite cramp together so don't expect a lot of breathing space or arm room. It's important to note that Carmines is a white table cloth restaurant with $$$ and so people were dressed up here. Overall: 5/5 for food, 5/5 for service, 4.5/5 for atmosphere

Yelp
The best restaurant in Bellevue, period. Asked are their chefs from Italy, answer was not. They are from Mexico. Since cactus is also good, and generally Bellevue restaurants suck, maybe we should ask if the chef is from Mexico before we go to a local restaurant.
