Parking sucks, Street parking only, other than that food is reasonable and really good. They have Taco Tuesday and Thursday. This was the tacos for $2.50, they also have the mini for $1.50 if you can't finish the big one.

Definitely a must stop in LA area. Absolutely amazing chicharron and carnitas tacos. Homemade tortillas 😋 still dreaming about the chicharron a few days later!

Tortillas are awesome. We ordered a few different things. The chicken enchilada looked amazing, tasted a bit bland. The chorizo was uninspired. But, the asada was great and the salsa was awesome. Well worth a trip

I’ve been going there for an ex of 25-30 years I went and see a young lady with my aunt and my mom and both of them were gone. Now they loved the tortillas and the tamales I still go for the tortillas in the tamales prices are high everywhere, but the quality and the taste and the demand of these two food itemscontinues to sore. Love these people.

Carrillos, San Fernando CA. Have been coming here for many years. The food is very good. Flower Torrtias, Chile Verde, Carnitas, Costillas Roja and Menudo are my favorite. Like any place that makes food from scratch daily it's going to be very good 99 times out of 100. The 100 time might be a little off. If you cook from scratch you know what I mean. This is not fast food, go to the freezer get the box. They close down every year in January for a week or so to recover from the holidays.

Best carne asada tacos ever and the homemade tortilla are so good. The salsa is full of flavor and spice when combined with the food oh my! I wish I can buy their tacos everyday. I did try their tamale but did not like the texture or flavor but other than that this place is 💯

I have eaten at Carrillo's Tortilleria for at least 10 years plus. They are Family owned. Great authentic Mexican food. They are consistently good and are a true Tortilleria Mexican restaurant. You can eat in or takeout. Very busy restaurant. They have been in business for many decades. They are next to a huge Mexican Super Market and they are still in business. What does this tell you about Corrillo's. I highly recommend that you visit this restaurant. So good 👍

This is a staple location for tasty burritos. I keep coming here because the quality has never changed, only the price. Burritos are served on handmade flour tortillas. I love when I'm able to receive the same amount of food with an increase in price rather than receive a smaller portion and increase price. I basically only come here for the burrito Chile Colorado de Res (red chile beef) con frijoles solamente (beans only). Great customer service each and every time. The atmosphere is reasonable. Most of the time kind of quite and could only hear the TVs on and rarely it might get noisy, but usually on the weekends or before a big event.

Average food and shitty customer service. I went to Mass a few blocks away and went there for lunch after. I knew it would take a while. It's Sunday. I ordered 1 beef tamale and 1 beef enchilada. The cashier said that she didn't think they had any more beef tamales, but offered chicken. Fine. Make both chicken, if you have them. I waited 27 minutes to be told that they were out of chicken enchiladas. And they tried to use the "we're busy" card. No shit. I've been there before. But too busy to tell me when I ordered? Then they tried to short me on the refund! Fuck this place!

OG San Fernando spot located on Pico street. Not much has changed. Pretty decent but nothing crazy delicious. George Lopez burrito is the best bang for your buck. Food took almost 20 min from the time I ordered

Historic and Very cool hole in the wall. Service was good. But the food is a little overrated.

Chile relleno burrito - SLAPS Cheese tamale with sauce & cheese - SLAPS Mexican rice - SLAPS Fish taco - okay, not everything can slap; this was good but I've had better On the quest for the best cheese tamales in the SFV and had to try these. Flavor - delicious; presentation - none, lol. But it didn't matter when I hit them with some rice and Pico, mmmm! So worth it!! The burrito was stupid good and enormous! Got it with beans, onions, and cilantro, topped it in green salsa - SO MUCH WIN in one bite. I have just enough left over for dinner and then we'll see when round two is in order...

I'm a third generation patron of Carrilos. I have a lot of favorites, but the hard tacos, red chili burrito, menudo and the home made corn and flour tortillas are some of them. Here's the question and the hard part: Has Carrilos changed ownership? Reopens? Because the food and tortillas are not the same, the sauces are way different not for the betterImo! The corn tortillas had no taste as if there was little to no corn in the mix! Really awful. The menu has also changed with some stand-bys no longer offered. I've been disappointed three times recently to the point where I've sadly eaten my last meal there. I am very curious to know if Carrilos has new owners or mgmt.

I cannot stress how disappointed I am with this food. Not only was my order absolutely wrong and disgusting but I feel sick. I ordered a burrito combo, they gave me a burrito Mojado with NOTHING inside Besides asada. Not only did I want it with everything I paid extra for cheese. My boyfriend ordered the chili verde and he had to add salt just to taste anything. It was a let down for sure. Don't come here. They suck Show me where is says 14 is a wet burrito on the Uber eats app lol

Don't get me wrong I use to love the green chile pork refried beans and tortilla de harina . Went last week and the refried beans tasted like can and the chile verde had no flavor looked watered down. My daughter loves this and even she said she didn't like it. Please go back to the original recipe

So I was in town and gave this place a try, it let me down! The people at the front are attending with an attitude. They took over 20 minutes to serve me a cold menudo and cold and saggy tripas taco. Not what it used to be.

Posole is absolutely amazing! Service is excellent! I haven't had the opportunity yet to try anything else but the posole has to be the best hands down. I come every Sunday morning just for that.

I would never go back to this restaurant. Breaks my heart to say this but after the lack of service from today it left us frustrated. My husband and I ordered through Uber eats two burritos. He rode about twenty minutes to get there to be told they close at 1pm and didn't have our order. They didn't call to tell us or update their hours in Uber eats. They basically were like too bad, cancel the order on your end. They didn't even apologize and no accommodation, just a oh well. They also claimed they didn't have an order from Uber eats for us but luckily my husband had the Uber app and showed it to them, and they were speechless. It's one thing to mess up and take ownership but don't shift the blame to your customers, knowing they were wrong! This is not the first time they have messed up an order which is why I am so upset. We gave them at least three chances but not worth it. So sad! Thank goodness for UBER eats, who helped us out during this ordeal. They have good food but their customer service lacks. Update reply to owner: Ryan, thanks for the swift response. Ensuring accurate Uber Eats hours is pivotal for smooth orders--glad it's resolved. Wasn't the greatest. Much of a mushy burrito with lack of seasoning. Meat wasn't cooked fully and had almost no texture.

I grew up with this place. The food has always been solid. Everything on the menu is pretty good, so it will never disappoint. However the only thing I have been disappointed with is the prices. They just dashed prices for a dozen of tortillas. I don't think a dozen of tortillas should cost $7. This place has always been on the pricier side but I just feel like it has been getting greedy. That keeps me away at times.

I came here just for the handmade flour tortillas and they did not disappoint! Fluffy, buttery and flavorful. I was hoping they were made with lard but I can't detect any. Regardless, well worth the $6.50 per dozen when you want that homemade flavor and store bought just won't do.

The food is always good, this time the red chilaquiles was a miss for me but the Asada fries and burrito were bomb! It's usually busy so go with time.

The service is always good in this local spot. Family owned and operated that hasn't lost their food preparation. Coming in to taste some authentic local cuisine. If you come to get some fresh made flour tortillas come early or order ahead because if you don't you will not get any. They are so warm sometimes I just eat one on the way home. If your into it you can have their famous "George Lopez" burrito.

I have been coming here for over ten years and I think this is the best Mexican food in the SFV. If you haven't been I highly recommend it. The staff are warm and friendly. Cons: Parking not so great. I recommend parking out front on Sherman way.

The food is delicious. But the prices are outrageous! Not only have the prices gone up but the burritos are getting smaller. $13 for a breakfast burrito! I used to be able to get a Burrito that would keep my hunger subsided for the majority of the day, but not now. It's sad that they are joining the greed train and gouging us. Just means I'll only go once or twice a year instead of once or twice a month.

It's the fresh home made tortillas for me. Simple as that. Chefs kiss. 100/100 no dish here disappoints. Omg and if you are a tripa (tripe) lover let me put you on game! Best tripa tacos I have ever had! My mouth is watering just thinking of them.

All of their tortillas have lard, which is unfortunate for a household that's 50% vegetarian. The owner messaged me clarifying that only the flour tortillas have lard. I appreciate the effort in clarifying the info.

Awesome taco lunch. Unfortunately, I went to buy some of this new HOT salsa they started selling recently and they were out. The young lady said it would be a few days before they would make it again. I will have to go back because I need more of that new salsa. Maybe even have another taco dinner plate.

First time here. This review is intended to reach the business owner. Very disappointed. Not only with the Customer Service but also the food. I requested 1/2 lbs of chicharrón I got a whole pound. Come on guys. Is not about the money is about the principle "I requested 1/2 lbs it can be a little bit off but giving me the whole 1lbs not cool. Period point blank. I let it slide because I came here with a happy and joyful hear. I order to eat here the crispy tacos. Or whatever you guys called it. I was so DISAPPOINTED The plate is only $15.00 again is not about the MONEY. Listen to this : I got a plate with very over dried rice with beans that were put in the MICROWAVE !!!! Are you kidding me??? Are you for real please look at the pictures and be the judge. If you keep food warm enough when you put the cheese the cheese will melt. But the food was nasty and when I asked one of the cashiers if they place the food in the microwave she says no. Well I didn't eat the food and asked another Male person passing orders. He said YES WE DO!!! Please tell me why would I want to go to a Mexican restaurant to eat MICROWAVED FOOD. Please make it made sense. I could have gone to a taco stand there's so many with good Hygiene and quality food but noooo. I want it to support our small business. So only 2 stars the George Lopez Burrito was ok but it had a lot of fat and nerves the meat so every bite had to fat and nerve also had menudo it was not good at all

You broke my heart yall use to be fire when I ate there as a kid they served me some bs this time around yall gave me some old as asada and I know the cooks can tell what they serving they do it everyday smh it takes one time to ruin my food with me sorry I ain't going back.

This was the worst burrito I ever had. The asada had absolutely no flavor and was oddly hard and almost rubbery in texture. I wanted to like this place, but the food was lackluster and made very sloppy!

Great savory and spicy posole. Ordered to go, came with sides of onion, cabbage, lemon, oregano, salsas, and thick tortillas. Great tortillas, the size, texture, and thickness were what I was looking for.

Wait time is ridiculous for some tacos. I waited over 35 minutes, and it wasn't even that busy like I have seen in the past.

The food here is amazzzzzzzingggg. The tortillas are so fresh and pair amazing with the pozole here. They have menudo which is what they're known for but so have yet to try it. Their burritos are also massive I can never finish one by myself. The service is always up to standard and I can always count on leaving this place satisfied. There's plenty of seating if you want to eat inside, but I know it can get crowded during their busy hours.

I've been blessed with finding this little gem of a restaurant. It's family owned. My wife took me here in 1996 and I've been going there ever since and the food is the best Mexican food I've ever had. If you haven't been I highly recommend it. Long time (+35 yrs) patron. But no longer support this place. I experienced a situation that left a bad taste in my mouth. The owner had handed the reins over to a family member to manage. He is a JERK! he's a WOKE person & therefore has no clue on customer service. An employee didn't get my order correct & I was incorrectly charged. I was told that I disrespected the employee even though I never spoke with him. I stopped patronizing the place & now I warn people to stay away. I just cut off the funds & go elsewhere. I DONT NEED TO BE DISRESPECTED AS A CUSTOMER. Chances are is that this employee is no longer working there any longer & I win you lose $. Great business model!

Horrible service! Waited for 40 minutes for caldo de res. Right when the food was received they turned their ac full blast. All their line staff have the worse attitude. Ryan, in response to your reply; you're making excuses. There were 5 people after me who ordered more elaborate meals that clearly didn't take 40 mins. We couldn't enjoy our caldo due to the extreme cold AC blowing directly over our food, not the windy weather outside.

this place is a joke. I used to order from here a lot in the past, and as of recently they have declined rapidly. there has been wasted money on food here several times, but this time has surpassed them all. I will never eat here again! and will be sure to tell everyone I know the same. I ordered the George lopez burrito and it was poorly put together not sure who they have working in the kitchen, but the burrito was cold as if it was left over from the previous day/ days. I ordered shredded beef for meat choice, and that was not what was inside. lord knows what they packed it with!! it was hard and non chewable. the lettuce was brown and wilted... the food was old clearly ..... not sure how they're running their business but I was very disappointed and disgusted. not even 5 mins after taking a couple bites I had to run to the restroom. I'm concerned and disgusted, atp I'm even looking into an attorney due to false advertisement and health and safety. that's not the worst part..... so I call and speak to someone who sounds like she couldn't care any less.... and she puts me on hold comes back and again puts me on hold... then comes back and says we can't do anything .... I ask to speak to the mgr, and she says no one is there wtf!? so then what was the reason to put me on hold In the 1st place!? she then tellls me "Willy and Ryan haven't been to work" ‍‍ im confused. disgusted and pissed. never again will I eat from carillos in san Fernando.

Best flour tortillas(take some home, you won't regret it). Remember, your eyes are bigger than your stomach, the portions are big, the flavor is big, the value is big, you will be taking some leftovers home with you. Be sure to eat in and get the full experience. The signature burritos are fun and worth a little extra. We will be back!

I love this place the only thing I would say is even if you order through Grub Hub they still make you wait in the long line to pick up your food...that defeats the purpose of ordering on line...they need a better system.

Their burritos are the best. The Red Salsa George Lopez burritos are huge. Very tasty. Love their tortillas de harina. The corn ones are hard to warm up. Not soft. Their menudo is great. You have to wait a while on the weekend. Service is good. Place looks clean always. Would recommend.

We come here and buy tamales by the dozen. Located in the heart of San Fernando. It is truly authentic Mexican food. Everything looks fantastic. We have purchased tamales for several parties, and they are always well received!
