Where to Eat Seal Meat in Montreal | Eater Montreal

"This bring your own wine bistro near Parc Lafontaine puts forward a cheerful atmosphere and attentive service. You’ll find maple-mustard marinated and grilled seal on the main menu; some other hard-to-find meats also make cameos — such as kangaroo." - Karin Murray-Bergquist

Omg so cutting edge and delicious. A "must try" if you're in Hamburg. Summer menu was amazing. The hot pepper dip appetizer was huge. The daily special did not disappoint. Our waitress knew the menu intimately and was very "bar knowledgeable." Can't wait to go back and try more apps. And entrees!!!

Google
Not one for writing critical reviews, but felt compelled to after tonight. One of the worst demonstrations of service I have ever experienced EVER (especially at a “finer dining” establishment). Had a reservation booked far in advance (albeit a large party, but the reservation was aware of this in advance). We ordered our entrees quickly and they did not arrive for over two hours. No share plates or empty drink glasses were bussed the entirety of our stay even though our server was quite literally staring from the service bar. There was zero communication during the two hours of waiting about why our meal was taking so long. Not until one of the members of our party went directly to the bar and inquired on the wait and we were informed “we were not prepared for this amount of guests.” If you’re not prepared then don’t accept the reservation. The food was fine, but not worth two hours of waiting. Won’t be recommending, won’t be returning.

This restaurant was amazing in every way. Every single thing we ordered was delicious. The ambience was romantic and elegant. We started with the complimentary popovers and calamari. For our entrees we got the lobster bucatini and the crab stuffed salmon. For dessert we got the tiramisu and cannoli cheesecake which was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had! 100% recommend this place! Mallory was our server and she was great, very sweet and attentive.

Google
Actually 4.5. Excellent first experience. The service was attentive (Mallory), the ambiance was beautiful & the food was good: oysters (though a few shell pieces), filet, and salmon with scallops (beautiful flavor combos and textures, but the couscous was cold). My complaint (not worth deducting stars) is that it was arctic cold in there. When we went outside to the 60° it was much warmer.

Google
Grant left us speechless after such an amazing experience. We’ve been here 6 times before and yet he’s left the best impression. Period. Food- amazing. Atmosphere- perfect. Service- better than 90% of the places in western New York. ** a must eat at**

We began with the Caesar salad which was very good. Their house dressing was creamy and flavorful. Then I got the chicken Parmesan, and my boyfriend got the lobster pasta. We both ordered the gluten free pasta; which was great to hear they had! We each had a glass of wine with dinner. Both were great. I had the Crios Malbec (red) and he the Moscato D’asti (sparkling white) The red sauce with the chicken parm was sweet and super flavorful. The lobster pasta had great claw meat and was also delicious!

The Wagners

Google
Had a large party made reservations three earlier. 14 people took them two hours and yet no food. Had to address it with staff and stated we were leaving. There excuse was they weren’t aware this was a large gathering ???? Food was ok very small portions for the price. Over priced atmosphere was a building plain nothing special. Not worth the hype. They did take 50 percent off the bill. Which is what I requested. Not worth the wait. Too expensive and small portions. Go somewhere else

Google
The food is excellent with prices to match. Staff is courteous and attentive. We had the Cacio e Pepe , calamari, smash burger and chicken milanese - amazing. Great wine lust as well. Highly recommended!!

Yelp
Carte Blanche is excellent. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and we loved it. I had never been here for dinner, only brunch. It's a lovely atmosphere for both. The popovers are scrumptious and the whipped butters they serve with them are outstanding. I got the gnocchi which I don't think I would get again, it was good but just a little heavy on the sauce. I would like to try the chicken Milanese next time! Matt thought they were very generous with the lobster and that his dish was delicious. Ambiance is 100/100. Super cute in there. Fresh flowers on the table. Good lighting. Music is at a good volume to be able to have a nice conversation. Our waitress was very sweet. Loved our time, will definitely be returning with friends and family!

Yelp
Typically I don't write reviews unless its really good or really bad and, unfortunately, this is not a good review. I went here for my birthday dinner with just me and my husband and things started to be a bit weird with the cocktail. I ordered a vodka and limoncello cocktail but it was a limoncello cream and that was not specified (I don't care for limoncello cream but I let this go because I figured i was being too picky). Beyond that it took 45 minutes for me to get my raw oysters on ice app and an hour for my husband to get his app. I had 4 out of the 6 oysters and I couldn't eat any more. Every single one I bit into I had bits of shells and sand. And the first three oysters had this really off-putting taste. The 4th and last oyster had so many shell pieces it cut my gum. Then finally after an 1hr and 45 minutes we received information from another server (not our own server) that the kitchen somehow never received out order so we left. I will give credit where credit is due! Everyone we interacted with was really nice! Also, they comped our bill majorly which was so appreciated. Also, I was able to get my dinner made on the fly to go and it wasn't too bad! Again, it breaks my heart to write this review because the last time I was here it wasn't great either and I really think this place has such potential. To me, as someone that has worked in the restaurant business, I think we just came on a night where every staff member that day had a case of the "f*ck its" I truly hope the best for this business and I really hope the quality can improve because so far this is such wasted potential.

Yelp
Great brunch! They accommodated our large party of 13. The complimentary popovers they give to the table with two different flavor butters are divine. Most of us got and enjoyed the chicken and waffles topped with hot honey. Honorable mention the shrimp and grits! Place is cute and upscale. Street parking or municipal lot across the street. Will return

Yelp
Sadly a disappointing evening in a place we used to love. Waitress finally appeared, spilled a drink , shattered a glass and disappeared. We had to have the bartender clean up the mess and take our order. Over an hour for apps and almost as long for entrees. The attitude of waitress #1 and the long wait made the decent food almost irrelevant.

Yelp
Fantastic experience here for dinner a couple weeks ago! Had a date night and got reservations for outside. The patio/alleyway was just a little underwhelming - think I'd prefer the indoor ambience next time we go! Our waitress was very nice and accommodating. We ordered some pumpkin martinis to start which were heavenly to kick off the fall season. Ordered the mushroom toast to start and it was hands down the best part of the meal (even though everything was delish). Thank you other yelpers for recommending it! Then we ordered the ribeye steak and crab stuffed salmon and both were great. Excited to go back in a couple months and see what else they're added to their seasonal menu!

Yelp
Well my son gave us gift card for Christmas and said he heard good things about this place. He heard correct. I suggest reservations as this place was packed on a Saturday. We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving and loved the second floor dining with great view of outside. (If you are not able to walk up stairs I would suggest a downstair seating). Every employee we were in contact was very courteous and engaging. Food and drink options are plenty and very hard to make a decision. But our waitress was very patient and answered our questions. Food was outstanding. Popovers are awesome and they give you 2 butter options - these are on the house. Both our dishes were excellent Carbonara and Chicken marsala was made to perfection. We had the upside-down pineapple cake - very good. Will come back in the summer as it looks like there is some outside seating. FYI - Parking is limited and we parked down the street on a very cold February night. I think the only downfall of the evening.

Yelp
I started the evening by knocking over the vase of flowers on the table when I tried to move the table. I arrived at 6 pm, and the table was pushed flush to the bench seat, making it impossible to sit down. Luckily, the vase didn't break... there was just water everywhere. Fortunately, the staff member was very chill about it & said it happens all the time. Once the water was cleaned up, I felt the need for a cocktail. I ordered the Black Maple Old Fashioned, which I highly recommend. The maple came through & it was an easy sipper. My friend & I devoured the Popovers (served with salted butter and Maple Cinnamon Whipped Butter) before we thought to snap photos of them. They were huge, piping hot, and oh-so delicious with all that melted butter... as they are complimentary, make sure to ask for more (if you can find room in your belly)! My friend & I shared our appetizers, which was a great way to try more than one. The mushroom toast was INCREDIBLE. Seriously, go just for that, if nothing else. The arancini were good, but I think I would have liked the sauce on the side because having the dish arrived sauced took away from the crisp texture I'd expect from the appetizer. When my entree, the Chicken Milanese, arrived, I was confused. There seemed to be a whole lot of greens & no chicken to be found. I expected thinly pounded cutlets, but how wrong I was! The chicken was thick & juicy, deliciously breaded and crisp. I loved every bite and cleaned my plate. Sadly, despite reviewing the dessert menu, I couldn't find it in me to order anything sweet to cap off the meal. I guess that means I'll just have to go back!

Yelp
Would give a 0 if I could. Have tried 2 days in a row to get take out as I work right down the street. Was told no both times. I work in a busy salon and will be telling everyone, good luck trying to get take out here. Sometimes it would be nice to be able to get my lunch/dinner somewhere other than fast food or pizza spots. You guys make that impossible.

Yelp
Will this place has gone down hill.... Bring back Kevin please. Just had a 2 1/2 hour ordeal here. The menu has been reduced to some meager pasta dishes all slathered in a beef sauce. No fish, chicken or steak options anymore. They were tapped out of every beer we tried to order. Our group ordered the stuffed pepper appetizer and after 20 minutes were then told they were out of it. They forgot one of our orders. The apps took an hour to come out and then the entrees took another 45 mins. Used to be one of my favorite restaurant. Unless I hear that they get new management, I won't be back.

Yelp
The ambiance of this restaurant is cozy and elegant. I have had several delicious cocktails here before. It's a great date night spot. After hearing from others how great the food at this restaurant was, I couldn't wait to try it! So, I was disappointed today when my service was subpar. Our waiter was very inattentive. He didn't tell us the specials, he came to our table once during the whole service, and he never asked how we liked our meals or if we needed more water etc. it was very odd. He didn't even bring us our food! It was almost like he was ignoring us, he seemed very chatty at other table. On top of the terrible service, my food was almost inedible. I'm going to preface this next comment by saying I love spicy foods. I get Diablo hot sauce at Taco Bell, I get comfortably order level 3 spicy curry, I ALWAYS add the spice bomb to my pho. But this dish was like gates of hell opened up and shot flames into my mouth. Satan himself could have touched his pitchfork to my tongue and it wouldn't have burned as bad. I know it was listed as a spicy dish - it's the fra diavolo! I expected a little spice. But wow. My lips were scorched, my eyes watered, it was a whole thing. On top of being embarrassed by my apparent lack of spice tolerance (not true), I couldn't even enjoy my food. Worst part : the waiter never came to refill our waters. My Caesar salad was okay! Nothing special. Overall, for a $65 dinner for myself, it was not worth it. I would come back for cocktails, but never again for food.

Yelp
Finally after 3 years , I got to come back to Carte Blanc for their dinner menu . I received a favordrop offer for $15 off - so I feel like it was necessary to use it ! Boy , was I a happy customer. The complimentary popovers were delicious . I ordered the famous mushroom toast as an appetizer - mouth watering and full of flavor . I had a hard time choosing an entree but settled with the Cacio e Pepe - pasta so good that I couldn't help but finishing every last bite ! Our server was attentive and professional . Atmosphere is cozy without being too loud and cramped . Treat yourself to dinner here when you are in the south towns , you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Been here before and knew we liked it. The menu just changed to the fall menu and there were new things to try. People around us recommended the short rib so we tried that and the carbonara plus chicken. Can i cut to the chase? Order the short ribs. They were tender and flavorful and smoky at the ends. Served over mashed with glazed carrots. A portion that fills a big appetite and doesn't bury a small one. Rich and hearty and exactly what you hope short ribs would be. The carbonara was buttery smooth with chunks of bacon and vegetables. I added chicken breast which was cooked perfectly and sliced to near bite size portions. The cocktails were the star of the show. Shawn referred the complex tasks to JJ who well may be a myth. He mixed up amazing craft cocktails that everyone around me was swooning about. Does he have a PhD in mixology? He doesn't even have a vest or a curly mustache so not sure how he does it but everyone there seemed to know his role. JJ is the he master mixologist and Shawn is his protoje. If you are looking for a downtown experience in the southtowns head to carte blanche. Food is amazing. Mixed drinks are creative A F. And i'm a beer guy. Fyi lunch on tap.

Yelp
I went looking for a restaurant for a large group for dinner the next night. At 8:00pm after seeing 4 other restaurants I stopped here. I ordered a carry out appetizer so I could get an idea of the restaurant. I heard it was up scale. 40 minutes later my appetizer arrived. I questioned if an appetizer takes this long how long for a dinner service? I was told at least 45 minutes because they are under staffed. we will go to a different restaurant tonight!

Yelp
Quality and consistent food! Great service and hospitality! Go to spot! Easily accessible.

Yelp
With so many options in the menu like pasta, chicken, seafood ,pork chops and steak I narrowed it down to the beet Alfredo. With speedy service and a smile I got this incredible entree, it was beet Alfredo sauce over linguine with lemon basil creme on top ,parmesian and sunflower seeds and was so tasty .For dessert I got the perfect autumn inspired pumpkin fritters with a side of Carmel sauce for dipping and was so delicious. .

Yelp
I've had popovers here before and they were incredible. The brunch is extremely good and the French press coffee is fresh and delicious.

Yelp
I came back, also not super dressed up, and got a spot at the bar. A total 180 of an experience, bartender was really great to chat with, food was still phenomenal. I'm super happy I was able to have a better experience here.

Yelp
Ambiance: very nice, great for a date night or going out for an elevated dinner with family. It's pretty small, so you would think reservations are a must, but on the Friday night that we went it never quite filled up so perhaps you're safe to risk no reservations. Service: very kind, patient with my GF wife and her multiple questions Drinks: really good. I remember their cocktail menu being full of very interestingly named and well mixed drinks. My whole table got at least one so I took a sip of quite a few, all were great. Food: solid! Amazing popovers. My gnocchi was pretty good, and everyone else seemed to enjoy their steaks and pastas. Would give food a 4/5 but everything else is 5/5 so it's earned 5 stars for me! My wife and I keep this in our list of date night options! Thanks for being one of the few good restaurants in Hamburg, Carte Blanche!

Yelp
The box was broken the chain broke I called no one responded so I will never order anything from them again

Yelp
Great atmosphere & food menu. I haven't been in a while, but it was always a delicious, relaxing time. Great drinks & thoughtful food.

Yelp
With fast and friendly service I received my Beet alfredo pasta. It was linguine, Beet alfredo sauce, lemon basil creme, parmesan and sun flower seeds and was delish .For dessert I had the pumpkin fritters with Carmel sauce and it was amazing , perfect dessert for fall.Lots to choose from on the menu from chicken, seafood and pork chops you will definitely find something to choose from.

Yelp
I took my dad here when he was visiting from out of town - perfect because it has a wonderful ambiance, feels like an intimate setting, didn't get too noisy, great service and a broad menu. On the menu you'll find seafood, pork chop, chicken, pasta, all tasty classics and something for everyone. I really enjoyed my pasta and dad enjoyed the pork chop. Only reason for not doing 5 stars was that the bench seating was uncomfortable and we were there for 2 hours. I would definitely go back and take friends or family who haven't been before.

Barbara C.

Yelp
The night started out with six people two decided to have a few drinks. When we looked at the menu it stated no separate checks for parties over 6 and for parties over 6 they would add the 20%gratuity. We asked for separate checks because of the drinks and some of the food prices were quite different They told us it really meant six and above for both We noted that was not what the menu said but they refused. Three of us got prime rib. It was grilled not served as usual but good. One person got pasta she liked that very much. One had co co van it was good and the another had a wedge salad and stuffed meatballs which were very large and good. All around the food was good. The service was very very slow. Our reservation was for six and it was 8:45 when we were finished eating and had to leave shortly because they were closing at 9. Not sure if i would go back

Kayla M.

Yelp
We went here for dinner. I would recommend a reservation It isn't huge so reservation is the best way to go. The complimentary fresh popovers were absolutely amazing with strawberry butter. I would have came just for these! 10/10. We then ordered the stuffed meatballs for a small plate which were great. Good portion sized meals. Would recommend asking to sit downstairs vs upstairs.
google avatar

Shawn H.

Yelp
Started off good with the popovers and the delicious strawberry butter but mediocre from there . Nothing was awful but definitely not great or worth a return visit.

Yelp
Carte Blanche has been on my radar for quite a while and I'm so glad my friends and I chose this restaurant to celebrate our birthdays. We were all born the first week in March and decided to go out and have a nice meal. I made reservations on Open Table, and it was seamless. We were seated and told we had a 90 minute time limit because there were other reservations coming in. Our reservation was at 6 pm. I started off the dinner with a New York Sour. I can't say no to a New York Sour. Those drinks are superb. If you haven't tried one, get out and do it. It is a game changing cocktail. We received an amuse-bouche as well, which was watermelon with goat cheese on top. I liked that. We also got a popover a piece, and that piece of carb was delectable. I ordered the special - a steak with espresso sauce, asparagus and horseradish potatoes. The dinner was exceptional. Unfortunately, I had an allergic reaction to something I ate and ended up a couple hours later taking two Benedryl. I was wheezing and having trouble breathing. It was nothing the restaurant did, obviously. I don't know what I'm allergic to and it happens at various times. I just keep Benedryl close at hand. I would definitely come here again. I liked the vibes of the place and the decor.

Yelp
This place is amazing! We went here for dinner and the ambiance and decor was so nice. The server told us this is a farm to table restaurant so their offerings are constantly changing. Loved the food, wine options, service. Everything was amazing.
google avatar

A R.

Yelp
Good restaurant. Could be Great. Service is Great. But the decor and menu are tired and need a serious refresh. The menu is too small and 10 years old. Just like the decor. It needs someone to care. The Grange has taken all of their customers and you can see why. No real decent vegetarian options here. Food is well done, but uninspired. It REALLY Really needs a new menu.

Greg R.

Yelp
Sat outside on a very enjoyable, cool night! Unfortunately, the fire pits don't work! Service was good! We started with the popovers which were very good! My wife ordered the steamed clams along with the caprese salad and both were excellent! We shared the Brussel spouts, which may have been the star of the show, for me! I ordered the chicken parm which was also good! $15 for a decent bottle of Malbec was a nice touch!

Kyle M.

Yelp
Very nice, intimate location when seated on the first floor. The food was outstanding and service was good enough that I didn't notice them (which is a good thing)

Mary C.

Yelp
Looked all over in the village of Hamburg for oysters to go... Carte blanche delivered they were amazing. I picked them up and gave them to my daughter for her birthday. She was so excited! Service was fast and friendly, and after viewing the ambience of that place I guess I'm gonna have to go eat there as well cause it was beautiful.

Yelp
While browsing what restaurants offered take outs/pick-up orders, Carte Blanche in Hamburg kept catching our attention. Their take out menu offered some mouth-watering choices and for a decent price. We actually tried ordering twice. The first time - around 5:30pm - we were told they were no longer taking orders. So the next day I called at 2:30 to make sure we got an order in. Our choices were the Lamb Lollipops for appetizers, and the Mushroom Gnocchi and Strip Steak for entrees. We arrived right at 5:00 (our designated pick-up time) to get our order. The server (the same individual who took the order) was very nice and brought the food right to the car door without us waiting long at all. When we got back home we noticed one thing wrong with the order - the Mushroom Gnocchi was Mushroom Pasta (the gnocchi was removed from the menu the following day so there must have been supply issues). The change was... okay, but the penne pasta was thick and starchy for the lightness of the mushroom sauce. We would have preferred the gnocchi. The strip steak was delicious, and the horseradish sauce on the potatoes was unexpectedly strong - which wasn't a bad thing! The whole dish brought an assortment of flavors that all paired well with each other, despite the powerful horseradish. Lastly, and I know I've gone backwards... the Lamb Lollipops. They had a wonderful basil crust on them. Great flavor. As was the cream sauce and salad. One unfortunate side effect of the take-out process though was that the lamb had steamed a little longer in the aluminum container and lost a little of its flavor. The same happened to the steak with the Mushroom Pasta (which was cooked medium well but then browned inside the container). It's not something that can be avoided and there's no fault to anyone... I just mention it as a precaution to any carnivores out there with exacting tastes when it comes to how the meat is cooked. One last thing... the portions! This one meal became 4 meals for the two of us. It was a very generous amount of food! I'd recommend giving Carte Blanche a try, especially given the situation we're all in. It's a great way to give yourself a treat if you're feeling down or trapped.

Yelp
We were passing through Hamburg on our way from Michigan to New England. The reviews were favorable so we decided to have dinner here. It was bustling on a Friday night but we got a table without waiting. We both had a nice glass of wine. Our server provided good service but wasn't too friendly. We both ordered pasta dishes. Both came out amazingly fast and were well-[prepared. My linguine was a bit al dente for my taste, but it was not a deal breaker. In the end we were in and out very quickly and enjoyed good food nicely prepared.

Deb D.

Yelp
Outstanding service and delicious dining experience! House made popovers were warm and flaky served with two kinds of butter. The meatballs and sauce offered as a small plate were the best meatballs I've had in wny. They are soft, flavorful and decadent! The calamari were nicely spiced with a great side of red sauce. Dinners were excellent. We enjoyed the carbonara and the evening special of four jumbo shrimp over linguine in a lemon butter garlic caper sauce with just the right amount of red pepper flakes to give it some heat! The dish was outstanding! All this accompanied by a glass of Chardonnay and an Old Fashion for my friend. Truly an excellent meal!

Yelp
This was our first time patronizing this restaurant. We checked out the menu online before going and realized they don't offer a wide variety of dishes. But we had received a gift certificate for this restaurant, so we went anyway. My wife's choice (Chicken Parmigiana) came out steaming hot, but my pasta dish (Bolognese) was barely warm. There was little doubt that my dish had just sat out to cool while the chef prepared my wife's. I also felt that the prices were a bit steep; $27 for a plate of penne with meat sauce! Bit I do need to mention that both dishes were very tasty. The seating, while very clean, was uncomfortable. If you don't mind sitting on benches, this is the place for you. As stated earlier, the reason we went there is because of the gift certificate we received. This was our first and last time going there.

Yelp
I love carte Blanche! Jj is a fabulous mixologist, as is joe. Both bartenders are so classy and personable. I am continually impressed by their unique and tasty cocktails! Their happy hour is amazing, $9 craft cocktails, $7 traditional cocktails and a limited food menu...definitely try it, you will love it!

Julie S.

Yelp
We used to enjoy this restaurant until a recent visit this past week-end, when we were told that a new chef had been hired. This restaurant needs more soy free options (we were offered exactly three items to choose from during a recent visit with our gift card!). Since we were with another couple and on a busy Saturday night no less, we could not easily pick up and leave. Despite what many vegans mistake as healthy, soy is being overused and many folks are becoming sensitive to it without realizing it. Soy is a top allergen, hormone altering ingredient (breast and other cancer patients are told to avoid it), and also fed to animals to make them (and the people who consume their meat) sick - (pork is the worst for soy & pig bellies are rashy and red on soy fed pig farms!). Even if someone does not have a life threatening allergy from soy (as is the case in our family), it is common sense that too much of ANYTHING will make you sick. Unfortunately, US farmers are growing soy - GMO no less! - in record numbers & as encouraged by its cheapness and by being subsidizing to do so. Remember: better quality foods are NOT soybean laden!

Yelp
This place used to be outstanding. Sadly, it has declined significantly. I am guessing that there are staffing issues and they don't have the same chef. The food used to be outstanding. In the three times that I've come here over the past three months (Mother's Day, a random dinner and then again today) the food was not edible. For Mother's Day I got eggs that were not cooked as ordered, toast with butter when I asked for dry (twice it came back with butter on it) and a tiny portion of burned potatoes (two table spoons worth). A breakfast dish for close to $20 and it didn't even taste good (compare to a diner that serves eggs as you request with bread, meat and potatoes for about $10). I was very disappointed as I remember how a few years ago they had large chunks of corn beef in their outstanding hash (no longer a menu item). Today, i came back to give it a second chance, I ordered the pastrami salmon sandwich. It came on a bagel that was over toasted to the point where it felt like a hockey puck in my month. The salmon was so over salted that it was painful to eat. For an extra $5, we got a tiny cup of fruit that tasted like it came from a pre-mix and then sat in the fridge for days. It was not fresh. For our recent dinner, we got the chicken parm $27 which came out lukewarm, heavily over breaded and super salty. The pasta itself was over cooked. We also got a mushroom toast. The mushrooms were great but there were very few of them on there. It was basically bread drowned in a creamy cheese for $15. It's expensive but I don't mind the price if it's good. Here, it's expensive and not really edible (except for the mushroom toast). I hope they find quality staff to turn it back around I'm really disappointed that they can't find a chef to make their food like it once was. I used to love coming here.

Yelp
I am from out of town and was looking for some oysters as a treat - came here and was not disappointed! Also had the schnitzel which was delicious (although slightly too much lettuce on top for my taste). The sauce it came in was so good, and the waiter was fantastic. Would definitely come back

Yelp
Very cool place. Loved the decor. Service was great. Crab cakes very good. Delicious margarita. Popover was very good too. My steak pasta special was ok. Street parking and patio seating also.

The service was fantastic, the food was even better. Found this place in a whim but will definitely be going here again.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this restaurant. My friend really like it and recommend it but before I can actually go to try, stupid corona pandemic hit the fans. Most restaurant including Carte Blanche decided to do takeout. I was like why not... we decided to get lamb lollipops, mushrooms gnocchi with steak and Vegas strip steak. They packed them on aluminum containers with plastic lid. I ordered all of them medium rare but because of the packaging it made the steaks cooked a bit more. Which is fine, it's not like it get over cooked or anything. I hate over cooked steak. Let's start with the lamb, the crusted part is good and flavorful the part not crusted, the meat itself kind of missing something. It help if you slater the tzatziki sauce on the meat part. I like it but I like Pegasus' lamb better. Next is gnocchi mushrooms with steak. This is the most disappointing dishes among the three. First of all it was NOT gnocchi, it was penne. Maybe they run of it but why didn't they say anything when we ordered? It's a let down when you ordered one thing and get another. The mushrooms is just a crumb, it supposed to be the star of the dishes kind of almost the after thought. It taste good but it just get buried under those penne. I think if it would've been with gnocchi, it would be much better. We added steak to this dish. Which a good thing, the steak is very good and flavorful. It definitely helped elevate the dish that otherwise utterly disappointment. The Vegas steak probably the best dish among the three. It came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. I like the flavor of the steak and the sauce. The mashed potatoes with horseradish wow quite potent! Though I don't normally like horseradish somehow it work. Each components of the dish work well together. I'm very satisfied. If not because of the so called mushrooms gnocchi, I would have give them at less 4 stars. I understand tough times and all but still I expected to get what I ordered.

Yelp
All the above. We had oysters and roasted Brussels sprouts for appetizers. Followed by chicken parmigiana pork chop and strawberry salad.

Yelp
We had a wonderful dinner there, the staff was very attentive to our visit. The food was amazing, had pop overs for the table, and the meat and cheeseboard for starters. For our main course Scallop risotto, and Chicken Parmesan. Our cocktails were amazing. I had a traditional old-fashioned and the wife had a lemon drop martini which she said was excellent. I thought for the evening that we had the prices were fair and the atmosphere was relaxing.

Yelp
We were so impressed with our first experience today! From being greeted at the door through our entire brunch we felt welcome and at home! The popover was incredible, French toast was spot on and I was considering a second order of eggs Benedict! Kari was our server and we will definitely ask for her by name again! FIVE STARS FOR CERTAIN!

Yelp
A really trendy & beautiful brunch spot. The interior is incredible. The type of place you'd expect to find downtown. There's an outdoor patio. Best French pressed coffee I've ever had. I ordered the biscuits and gravy. The plate went back clean. I went with a party of seven and everyone enjoyed their breakfast. I'd love to try this spot for dinner.

Yelp
The restaurant is small so it's very loud. They have a decent menu with many different options. We ordered lots of appetizers to get started. The mushroom toast was kinda soggy. The calamari was huge chunks and very chewy. The meatballs were the best one very flavorful. The specialty Mac and cheese with sausage and asparagus in a cream sauce was decent the pasta wasn't cooked as much as I would have liked. The salmon and other seafood dishes came in a bowl and was hard to cut the meat would prefer it on a plate. The waiter made sure we had everything we needed and was great answering all of our questions. Don't stay too long because the chairs are very uncomfortable but over all great service and an average meal.
