"The Carving Room in Mount Vernon Triangle will close permanently on December 23 after nine years delighting the D.C. area with house-cured pastrami and matzoh ball soup, according to an Instagram post. Owners Oded and Rachel Weizmann cited decreased business as a result of the pandemic as the cause. Sister restaurant CR Noma will remain open." - Tierney Plumb

Just got excited for a delicious burger because this place has great ratings. However I am disappointed. I recently had an$8 food truck burger that was better than this. The meat was gristly. The side salad were okay. Go with Israeli salad. Or try ceasar cause I didn't and maybe it's better than my carrot salad was. Waitress was lovely. Takes a while to get the freshly cooked burger even when it's empty here. Indoor and outdoor seating too

2nd Diners, Drive ins and Dives restaurant for the weekend and OMG!!! That pastrami poblano sandwich was all that and then some!!! The pastami here is comparable to, if not better than Katz Deli.

The salad was not a salad at all, no lettuce and it was a bit spicy. The sandwich that was on the show was too sweet bcuz of the peppers. The meat and bread was soft but I have tasted much better sandwiches at places tht aren’t even known for them. I came here expecting something so good and was very disappointed. Don’t recommend. We also got chz fries as a appetizer and all they did was melt shredded chz on the fries, I could have done that at home.

Probably the best neighborhood bar the in Mt. Vernon Triangle area. The quality and variety of the menu options are great and are freshened up from time to time. The rotating beer selection is decent too. I've always been able to get a seat at the bar and the service has always been friendly.

CR Burger is one the best I've had in the District!!!...and I eat a lot of burgers!!! 😅 The tomato salad is a must try! You can tell that lots of love and care goes into the food. Can't wait to come back again! Hats off to David and crew!!! 👏😊🎉 A+++++

I'm obsessed with bacon and cheese fries and these are, by far, the best. I went two days in a row. The first day the service was great and I recieved my food quickly, the second day was the exact opposite. On the first day the fries were piping hot and crunchy. Whereas the following day they were soggy and greasy. Different cook, maybe. All said, I'll definitely go back.

Both the food and the service is excellent. I highly recommend this place when in Washington DC for if you happen to be a rare native like myself.
