"The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office charged four people with running a retail fraud scheme out of the Cas Bar in Detroit. Bar owner Beverly “Mama Jo” Sassin was characterized as the leader of the operation, with police alleging that she and her associates were paying heroin addicts to steal merchandise from big box stores for resale out of the bar. 6/20/13 update: Went back. It was nice. Friendly. I was the only one under 60, but I got into a social security debate with some elderly gentlemen over some Milwaukee's Best. Anyone who tells you this place is "scary" or "in a bad part of town" needs to be euthanized.
