"The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office charged four people with running a retail fraud scheme out of the Cas Bar in Detroit. Bar owner Beverly “Mama Jo” Sassin was characterized as the leader of the operation, with police alleging that she and her associates were paying heroin addicts to steal merchandise from big box stores for resale out of the bar.
