Yelp
This place does so many amazing things for the Guatemalan community in California. They provide free music classes to children in Los Angeles and the cool thing i just learned is that they are teaching the kids how to play the Marimba! The Marimba is Guatemala's national instrument and is a dying art. This place is trying to keep that tradition alive. There are also Zumba classes, computer classes, exhibitions, festivals and more. You can buy Guatemalan artesanias here too! This place is sustained by a separate service, dealing with immigration issues. They are recognized by the state of California and are licensed by the Board of Immigration, as the owner told me. This place, separate from the immigration service, does so much and has plans to do more for the community, like start a soccer league. The owner is passionate about helping the Guatemalan community succeed here in the U.S.
