"From behind an unassuming storefront, Casa Linda Salvadoran Cuisine offers delicious pupusas alongside other traditional Salvadoran dishes. The menu labels the pupusa plate as a starter, but the portion is sufficient for a meal: two pupusas come with tender rice and perfectly smooth black beans smothered in freshly grated cheese. Be sure to try the pupusa de loroco, made with queso blanco and loroco flowers, a native plant of El Salvador that tastes similar to spinach." - W. Trace Miller

Google
If you're looking for incredible Salvadoran food in the Dallas metroplex, look no further. Casa Linda Salvadorian Cuisine has it all and you are definitely going to thank me later. I used to live in Washington DC, where there is an abundance of fantastic pupuserias and Salvadoran restaurants to choose from. It's one of the many things I miss about living there, and it's been years since I have had the chance to have Salvadoran food again. So you can imagine my delight when I discovered that in the northeast suburbs of Dallas, Salvadoran food is now in abundance. I quite literally came home from an appointment in the area giddy with excitement, and I made a plan to come back with my partner as soon as possible to introduce him to all of the best Salvadoran dishes. At first, it was hard to decide which restaurant to try first, since there are now so many to choose from (!!!), so I decided to narrow down my options by searching the menus for one of my favorite dishes - pechuga con crema, an incredible creamy chicken dish that I have been craving since I left DC. Casa Linda Salvadorian Cuisine was the first place I came to that had both a great average rating AND pechuga con crema on the menu, which sealed the deal for me. And I am so very happy to report that it more than lived up to my expectations. The pechuga con crema was every bit as good as any I had back in DC, and you literally cannot beat the prices here. I don't think you could have this good a meal for this price point literally anywhere else in Dallas, heck, maybe not even anywhere else in this STATE. For under $60 (pre-tip) we were able to FEAST on five pupusas with various fillings, a full order of pechuga con crema, a full order of carne asada (both of which came with homemade tortillas in addition to various sides), two aqua frescas, AND a dessert. That's an insane amount of food, and we brought home enough leftovers for at least 2-3 more meals for both of us. The carne asada and pechuga con crema were both delicious, the beans are some of the best I've ever had (I'm not much of a bean person, but I would happily eat these every single day, they're that good), the homemade tortillas are the perfect texture, the pupusas are bursting with flavor and served with delicious cabbage slaw and some kind of tomato-based salsa, and the aguas frescas are fresh and sweet and clearly homemade. Which brings me to another point - literally every single item on the menu (with the exception, I'm sure, of the ice cream with dessert) is made by hand and it SHOWS. The passion fruit and hisbiscus aguas frescas we had were so fresh and flavorful that I had downed half of mine before I bothered to come up for air, it was just so freaking refreshing after being in the Texas summer heat. Everything we ordered was clearly fresh and made that day, and all the flavors worked together seamlessly. It was truly a joyous dining experience. And the staff is so friendly - I was amazed by how well we were treated from the second we sat down. The owner, Blanca (I hope I got that right) even came by to see how we were doing, and we ended up having a fantastic conversation with her. It's clear that she loves what she does and she's fantastic at it. This is 100% going to be a regular dine-in and take-out spot for us for as long as we live within driving distance, and I honestly don't think you could find a better place to get your Salvadoran fix. Just be aware - the food here is addicting, and once you've had it for yourself, you're going to crave it all the time. Don't say I didn't warn you. :) You're welcome.

This is a true Gem of a restaurant. The food is impeccable, infused with flavor and made from scratch! The presentation was beautiful!!! The portions are perfect! I really appreciated the personal service also. If you want to rock your world? Order the guacamole!!! Seriously addictive!!! AAA+ highly recommend!

Google
First time here and the food was pretty delicious. Carne asada is well seasoned. They have a spicy green salsa, which is nice. Their pupusa mixta is good as well. Highly recommend.

Google
Extraordinarily good food, reasonable prices, nice folks, in a comfortable if basic environment. I would put the food here among the very best food in Dallas, including restaurants costing two or three times as much. Although they've been open for over a year and a half, and are in the general neighborhood, we did not find out about them until yesterday. Boo! We started with pupusas as an appetizer, one pork and cheese, one cheese and loroco (a Central American edible flower), both served with an unusual, excellent spicy slaw. For entrees, we ordered the Bistec Encebollada (steak with onions) and Camarones el Diabla (shrimp with a spicy tomato based sauce), both recommended by the owner who also cooks. Accepting his recommendations did not go awry. Both were served with uniquely flavorful black beans, salad, rice, and fresh, handmade El Salvadoran tortillas (made of masa, but much thicker than Tex Mex tortillas). High quality meat and fresh produce, interesting and well-balanced flavors. Nice touches included table service, cloth napkins, real plates and silverware, and an original mural as part of the decor. Although the location in a shopping center at Jupiter and Garland Road is a bit out of the way and might cause one to have doubts, it would be worth the trip from anywhere in town. Highly recommended! Still highly recommended after three years?

Google
A hidden gem in Casa Linda. 45 minutes The food was so delicious! I had some great pupusas and the churrasco chapin. The steak was tender and very flavorful, the chorizo was awesome, too, with a deliciously distinct flavor, and all the accompaniments made for lots of different, wonderful bites. In addition to the fantastic food, the service was friendly and prompt, and I loved all of the plants that decorate the restaurant.

Google
Really good salvadorean food, I placed an order today for the first time and I was pleased with my order. The lady who took the order was nice and friendly and when pick up the order was same whe had a really nice customer service. When I arrived home the food was hot and packed well the seafood soup was nice and big and was really complete not like other places they just put 2 or 3 seafood inside and thats it. As you can see on the pictures there was a big crab leg in it a lot of shrimps and oisters. My husband who is a seafood lover said he is definitely ordering back and yes I am ordering too. It's a nice new spot we found for delicious salvadorean food!

Yelp
The Salvadoran cuisine shines at this cozy mom-and-pop restaurant. The food is really good. The Owners put a lot of effort into delivering tasty dishes. Honestly you won't regret eating here. The service could be better and the locations don't help but I still recommend it. Though I don't have any pictures, I've been to this restaurant several times and they never fail to impress." On a 1-10 this placer earns 7.5

Yelp
We went here on our way to Home Depot. Don't know why I have not been back in so many years. The interior remains modest but clean. The food remains outstanding. I had a tamal, one of the best I ever had, and the papusa plate (2 to an order with rice and beans). They were not greasy at all. The pickled cabbage is the perfect addition. Service was fast and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. Food is outstanding. I much prefer to come here than do fast food for the same price. I will not wait so long to return.

Yelp
I am blown away by the small spot here in East Dallas. Owners are so nice and this food is as delicious as it comes. This is a must have!

Yelp
Outstanding Food! Friendly and Attentive Service! Adequate Prices! Nice Ambiance! Will be back

Mike K.

Yelp
Loved this place!!! We went for dinner last night and it was great!! Amazing service, family-friendly and owned and operated by a very nice family. I can tell they take great pride in it! The perfect small business in East Dallas that seems to be doing very well and hosts guests inside but also serves take-out. I believe they've been around over 5 years. Very clean inside and well-attentive staff and service. For a starter we tried a pupusa with beans and cheese and it was served super hot and fresh with pickled onions. Delicious and full of flavor!! For dinner I had the Camarones a la Diabla (deviled shrimp) which was served on a large plate with a side of rice, red beans, salad and fresh flour tortillas. Very good, hot and tasty too! Brian had the bistec (grilled skirt steak) which was super tender, delicious and served with the same sides of salad, beans, rice, fresh flour tortillas and topped with fried cassava roots. I heard this restaurant is great and so glad we finally tried it! We'll definitely be back and felt very welcomed inside. Can't wait to come back for breakfast, lunch & dinner and the prices are very reasonable considering all the food and amazing service.

Ricardo M.

Yelp
There was a good server, he was so nice and friendly, I think his name is Emmanuel or something, but he deserves a raise.

Christa B.

Yelp
I'm giving it four out of five because the food is OUTSTANDING! But the service is slow and the ambiance is zero. However- don't let that stop you from trying their incredible Salvadoran cuisine

Isabel G.

Yelp
This is a small restaurant and a building across the street from Marshall's and Home Depot. My husband and I stopped here for lunch. I ordered the pupusa's and he got breakfast. I must say the Pupusas were absolutely delicious. I've tried them before other places and this one was the best one overall. The ambience and service was wonderful. I definitely recommend this restaurant for your breakfast lunch or dinner cravings.

Jetemy A.

Yelp
Best hidden gem in the neighborhood. Worth the drive. Family run home cooking! I'm so glad I found this place!

Drue G.

Yelp
Delicious food. Nice change from typical fare at other restaurants. Lunch is a great time to go as it isn't very busy then. Surprised since the food is so good.

Raul N.

Yelp
Great taste, carne azada and hen soup (chicken soup) are the best in metroplex, all dishes are the best in latin food. Highly recomended.

Victor B.

Yelp
Closed tuesdays!!! I just went :( But yes the food is great. Good prices too Pupusas are great

Kristine K.

Yelp
Best pupusas and plantains I've ever had! Can't wait to go back. Service was great too.

Vikram J.

Yelp
We love this place! I have to share my love for the Sopa de Gallina here...only available on Saturdays and Sundays in this family-run restaurant (and once on a Friday!). It is essentially roasted/mildly fried chicken with rice and a separate vegetable soup. The chicken surface is crispy with a delicious juicy tender meat inside. The overall flavor of the soup is subtle and very good...kinda like the soup you would make at home without overpowering spices and I absolutely love it. My favorite post race or heavy workout treat. The pupusas when we had them are terrific too but I always go for the Sopa de Gallina when I can. My toddler loved the guac so much, she grabbed an adult spoon and single-handed finished almost the whole bowl. The guac is spiked with pico that brings out a fresh flavor. Even the fries, a non-traditional item are terrific... very lightly coated with crispy delicious batter. They place is spacious and my toddler senses our ease and enjoys ocassionally running around in between tables and they were gracious about it. We have been back multiple times.

Xtian M.

Yelp
Really great food. I would try their pupusas they are very delicious. I would also try the Aguas Salvadoreñas Frescuas, try the Horchata o Marañon. I am differently coming back again. Staff is very kind and friendly and willing to help you at all times. Very Welcoming.

Liliana T.

Yelp
We love coming to this place! The pupusas are so flavorful and a great masa to filling ratio. The horchata and maracuyá are especially delicious here as well. No complaints about this spot in the years they've been around.

Raquel M.

Yelp
I'm so glad I tried this place. I placed a to go order, the staff was friendly & place looked very clean when I went in for pick up. The pork & cheese pupusas along with the curtido were amazing

Justin Y.

Yelp
Great El Salvadorian food! (not that I have had El Salvadorian food before, but it was delicious) November 10 is national Pupusa day, so pupusas are only a $1 each instead of $2.50 each. Pupusas are like stuffed pancakes that come in 3 different varieties - pork/cheese, loroco (a green plant that tastes good, trust me)/cheese, and pork/bean/cheese. They also come with a side of curtido (a vinegarette-like cole slaw) I tried the Bistec Encebollado (steak with onions) and it was cooked perfectly. The entree came with a side salad, choice of black/red beans, rice, and tortillas - it was probably more than enough food for one meal. Food here is moderately priced at around $15 for a meal post tip. Will be back!

Angelie M.

Yelp
A new place I discovered that has amazing tamales and elotes tamal con queso. Their aguas frescas are super sweet and have this unique flair to it. If you really want authentic Salvadorean fair this is the place to go! The fried pork belly and yuca was Devine and had amazing crunch!

david g.

Yelp
Not going to lie, I went in with low expectations due to prior Salvadorian food experience. But here at Casa Linda, it exceeded it! It was so delicious!! We arrived, were seated immediately. And young waitress, I didn't get her name, took our drink orders. After that, took our food order. And she was very knowledgeable of most items. As we are not of Salvadorian decent, we had tons of questions! But she took her time and gave us a breakdown of items on menu. When food came out, presentation was nice, but the taste, was finger licking good! We will certainly be back soon. Oh and the desert, yummy!!!

Codi B.

Yelp
Amazing food with great service. Large portions with great prices! Definitely will come back. We ordered so much food!

Greg R.

Yelp
The wife was raving about this place. She had already eaten with a friend. Apparently the local moms group had a few good things to say, too. So driving by I suggested we stop by. And glad we did. You know how sometimes something is talked up so much that your expectations are set high only to be disappointed... ...Not here. After hearing how awesome this place, all the awesomeness was deliciously confirmed. Gawd O' mighty, this place serves up some crazy delicious Salvadorian chow. Seriously, the presentation, the taste, the choice of sides, all made for a carnival of pleasure in my mouth. It's an experience I'd expect at a 5-star restaurant. Yup, we will be coming back over and over again.

Mohammed A.

Yelp
overpriced for small cheap steak Taco Bell has better meat. At least the service and music was good

Paxton N.

Yelp
FANTASTIC. From the moment we walked in had incredible service. We were asked our drink orders and when debating different aguas frescas she offered to let us try them all first. Horchata was the winner but passion fruit came a close second for both of us. We ordered chips and salsa to start- you could tell all of it homemade AND came with black bean dip as well. YUM. We both ordered the Parillada Salvadoreña and received our food extremely quickly steaming hot. It had a mix of everything we wanted and the fresh tortillas were really the cherry on top. All in all wonderful experience. Love any opportunity to support a family owned restaurant and the quality and care they put into every step if the customer experience is evident.

Dustin C.

Yelp
I'm not from El Salvador but I have been there a couple times and spent over a month there combined. I have tried many papusas in the US and so far this place has them right. In love! Good stuff. We will be back for sure!!! All the way from Frisco!!!

Caterina C.

Yelp
If you haven't dined here, I don't know what you are waiting for. It's amazing! Your tongue will slap your brain it's that delicious! Family owned and operated. My favorites- off the menu- stacked enchiladas! Ask for mama's special salas if you handle the heat! Bean and cheese Pupusa's are yummy as well. I have tried the tacos too. Made with homemade corn tortillas. Love this place, the food, and the owners!

mistys s.

Yelp
Met here for a date, despite being on keto. Loved the protein and asked that I have no rice and beans, but the beans were served anyway....oops. There was something wrong with the rice maker, so we were substituted, which was fine. The zucchini and onions were delish! The proteins were tender and I dipped them in Salvadorian crema which I absolutely love....thanks to Rio Grande....damn Daisy brand!!! Overall, simple place, no stress, plenty of seating and meat was juicy and tender....even when I ate the rest of my plate the day after!

Chanel M.

Yelp
The pupusas were the best I've had in the DFW area! Their fresh juices are also to die for! The cashew, passion fruit, hibiscus, and horchata were all soooooo fresh and so good!! It was hard to just choose one of them!

Teresa S.

Yelp
What a hidden gem! I wish I hadn't waited so long to try them. Their pupusas are fantastic. I will definitely be back to try other items.

Jose R.

Yelp
We had pupusas and tamales. The food was good, service was excellent & overall the place inside is very clean. I look forward to see what the entire menu has to offer. If you are in the are stop by and try it. Let's support local business.

Bucky P.

Yelp
Good Food, Good People, Atmosphere a work in progress but clean and crisp. The meal Salvadoran Plate with all the meats and homemade corn tortillas and a side of plaintains to go with it. And a Cashew Aqua Fresca. Enough to share making it reasonably price. Months later and they have become one of my go to places. Have yet to have a bad meal. They are adding really cool things to the atmosphere as the chug along which tells me of their commitment. The location is a little hidden but we all have Maps on our phones and you need to find this place!!

Youry D.

Yelp
Very nice service. They made a PUPUSAS for me with TOFU and even offered to change the oil for the yuca fry as I am vegetarian. The owners are a very nice couple. I would definitely come back. Great service

Katherine E.

Yelp
The food is incredible and never disappoints. The egg dishes are served all day and are delicious! The pupusas are a must, the homemade red salsa that comes with them is perfect as well. Staff is friendly and the restaurant is family owned!

Sarah M.

Yelp
Casa Linda Salvadorian Cuisine is a very welcomed addition to the East Dallas Latin Restaurant scene. The majority of what we have is Tex-Mex, so to have a restaurateur intentionally do something different is refreshing. That being said, Casa Linda has some room to grow if it wants to compete with other East Dallas/Garland Salvadorian (PUPUSAS!) restaurants. Upon arriving (on a Saturday afternoon), we were one of two families in the restaurant. We were greeted with your classic tortilla chips (very stale and Sam's Club-style), black beans, and red salsa. The Red salsa and black beans were very good, but the tortilla chips were stale and not a highlight of the meal. We ordered a variety of Salvi dishes: Tamal de Elote, Tamal de Pollo, Pupusas, Curtido, Plátano Frito, y Crema. The food was amazing. Every dish we had was fresh and authentic, and passed the test of my Salvadorian novio. The prices are a little high, especially when you've grown up in a Latino part of the city (mi amor es de Irving), and you've had plenty of authentic Comida Salvadoreña. All in all, we would be back if we wanted Salvi cuisine in East Dallas.

Samuel G.

Yelp
By far the best Salvadorian food around! The customer service is excellent and the food is amazing! It's right next to a game stop co e try it!

Chrystin P.

Yelp
It was a challenge to locate this restaurant. The name Casa Linda made us think it was near the Garland/Buckner intersection, but it was not. The restaurant is located at the corner of Garland and Jupiter in the same center where the Home Depot is located. It is in a separate small strip mall off to the side between a Game Stop and a nail salon. The sign for the restaurant is not lit. We ate here for the first time on 01Nov2019. There was a Day of the Dead altar that was quite nice. The chips are very thick. The bean dip was great, not so enthused about the salsa. We had a pupusa with loroca and cheese ($2.50) that was very tasty, but we still don't know what loroca is other than a vegetable. There is also an option for a mixed pupusa with pork, bean, and cheese. You can order a pupusa platter for $8.99 or a pupusa individually for $2.50. The pupusa is served with a fabulous curtido (slaw). Spouse ordered camarones a la plancha ($12.99) that he liked very much. Shrimp were large and cooked perfectly. Sauce was mildly spicy. My original intention was to order one of the bistec options, but then I saw the beef tacos ($9.99) at an adjacent table. They looked SO good, I just had to have them. These did not disappoint! So very good. The corn tortilla was much thicker than we are used to, but we liked it. The description noted that there were radishes on the tacos, but there were green onions and grilled onions, didn't see any radishes. We will be returning.

Bill H.

Yelp
My first trip here was last night. I had the Bistec Entomotado. My wife had the Plaintains and the Fried Yucca. Everything was great. Food was plentiful, flavorful and very fresh. I met the owner/chef Blanca, who could not have been more friendly, talking about her purchases from Farmers Market. Everything was so fresh. The place is not fancy, but very nice. I will be back.

Jeanne H.

Yelp
This is a new family-owned restaurant, in the shopping center w/a Home Depot at Garland & Jupiter Rd. There are several little parts to this center, so look for it behind the McDonald's and it's right next to Game Stop. (They currently don't have a big sign out front.) But this treasure is definitely worth the hunt. And, it is all about the food. Which includes a nice variety of grilled seafood, tender marinated meat entrees & savory soups. The accompanying rice is filled with small cuts of vegetables, as well as other sides of potatoes, plantains, beans & fresh cheese, etc. depending on your order. Fresh, hot, handmade tortillas are served with your meal & are a major player in their signature appetizer called pupusas. The dining area is humble, but comfortable & clean. The service is friendly & the music is lively. Certainly worth a try.

S P.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite local places for takeout. It is family run and offers authentic food. Combo pupusas are our fav, along with the corn tamal and chicken tamal. And you can't forget about the plantains that come with black beans... YUM. The green hot sauce is the perfect complement with the sour cream they serve with the sweetness of the corn tamal and plantains. It is a modest place and we've mostly enjoyed takeout from here, but it's always very good.

Carina C.

Yelp
A small restaurant with a big flavor of Latin cuisine! Took my son to eat lunch , since we were craving homemade salvadorean food & we were not disappointed at all. Food is delicious, a humble place but with a delicious touch of fooood! By what I was informed it is family owned. A must go spot for homemade food!

Meli A.

Yelp
It was absolutely delicious! Will definitely order from them again. We ordered the Bistec encebollado and pupusas. My family loved it all.

Rosalind L.

Yelp
Delicious! Freshly made pupusas. Welcoming and friendly service! I got the classic 2 pupusas with rice & beans. Honestly could have just eaten the 2 pupusas, since they are so filling. I feel bad I didn't even touch the rice & beans. The Maricuya drink is the bomb! Looking forward to my next visit

Priscilla G.

Yelp
I love this little place. I went the day before Thanksgiving and the woman working couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. She let me taste the little juices they had and struck up a friendly conversation while I waited for the food. I brought the mixed pupusas home and they didn't last 5 min. Black beans and rice are pretty good too! Want to try the tamales again, I had them a while back...yum!

Leticia G.

Yelp
So good--love the carne asada especially. The pupusas are also so good. And surprisingly good for breakfast! Guacamole has radishes which makes it crunchy and fresh. Very good service.

Sara K.

Yelp
I had the mixed pupusa plate and my husband had Churrasco Chapin. We both enjoyed our meal and the wait staff was very pleasant.

Jay M.

Yelp
1st time here looking for reasonable price. Had the 5 shrimp on asada steak. Really good. This was great resturant. If you like hot spicey food they lack that part but Salvadorian food isnt spicy. They have hot sauce you can request. Bought house few months ago and so far this is great place. Music playing and very clean. I'll be back for sure

William C.

Yelp
From reviews on Yelp, we chose to go there this evening. It's a family business next to the Game Store in the Home Depot center on Jupiter and Garland Road, The only sign is on the door, so you can easily miss it. The food is authentic, and is beautifully served. Patty and I liked it a lot. Including tip, we spent $38.00. Try it!

Yazmin M.

Yelp
Great food. Went right before they closed and still got freshly made pupusas. Very friendly and was very clean.

My favorite Salvadoran place to eat! I work nearby and I always treat my team with some papusas. Customer service is amazing, the owner would always come up to check on you.
