Miami’s Newest Restaurant Openings in May 2025 | Eater Miami

"Pastry chef Janet Hanze and husband Christian Stagg bring their Ecuadorian café to Brickell; this is the sixth location of the concept and the first in the United States. The café serves Hanze’s specialty cookies in flavors like Nutella chocolate chip and pistachio, along with savory empanadas, salads, and coffee drinks." - Laine Doss

Casa Nané - Review - Brickell - Miami - The Infatuation

"Case Nané is a café from Ecuador that’s landed in Brickell. They make Ecuadorian classics like bolon de queso, jipijapa ceviche, and tortilla de verde. The breakfast and lunch spot also serves Brickell classics like green smoothies, avocado toast, and pretty-looking pastries. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Mariana Trabanino

Everything was perfect! The food was amazing. We tried the bolon mixto with cheese and chicharron and I'm glad to say that it's one of the best I've had. The ají or picante was so delicious! Also, it's one of the very few places in Miami with real lemonade. And the waitress was so nice and helped us with all our questions.

First time here and everything was incredible. The food was amazing, everything is so cute, the coffee was delicious and the presentation was gorgeous on all our food and drinks. Our server, Alexandra was so kind and attentive as well! We’ll definitely be back again and again.

I would like to share my positive experience at the Ecuadorian restaurant. The establishment offers a wide variety of well-portioned dishes. For future visits, I recommend ordering only one main course per person due to the generous serving sizes. This was my first time trying Ecuadorian cuisine, and I was thoroughly impressed. Additionally, I highly recommend exploring their bakery, which also features a diverse selection of items.

I have tried multiple items for takeout since this cafe opened a few months ago. I’ve had the lotus cookie butter cookie (more times than I’d like to admit, it’s addictive!!), the Caesar wrap and fries, various breakfast items and drinks and I have yet to try anything that wasn’t absolutely delicious. 10/10 cafe, it really puts the surrounding cafes to shame.

✨ My husband and I were visiting from Tampa and stumbled upon this hidden gem in Miami and instantly fell in love 💛🌸 From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and care—shoutout to the young Spanish gentleman- it felt like visiting old friends. 🥰 The floral-themed decor is pure romance, and every handmade plate and mug adds such a personal, thoughtful touch 🌿☕ Breakfast here is an absolute dream! Delicious coffee, mouthwatering food, and service that truly makes you feel special. We loved it so much we had to come back the next day 😍💐 If you’re in Miami, this place is a must-visit! Thank you for making our mornings so magical ✨💛

Google
I am Ecuadorian so it’s really difficult to find good food that also has Ecuadorian options and CASA NANÉ is really where it’s at. The food is so great. First the quality the ambience everything is so nice and good I got the Bolon mixto it was perfection. The presentation was 10 out of 10 and they also make the hot sauce that goes with the dish Exactly how we make it in Ecuador. I loved it.

Google
Casa Nane Review When I first arrived, I wasn’t greeted at all. The woman working—who was the only person inside and making coffees in the back—never acknowledged us until we had already been standing there for about six minutes. When she finally took our order, we asked for it to go so we could have take-out containers. Even though we chose “to go,” we sat down briefly to drink our coffee, which shouldn’t have been an issue. Instead, it clearly bothered her. When I asked for extra ketchup for the fries, she acted annoyed and made it seem like providing a little extra ketchup was an inconvenience. Her attitude was rude throughout the entire visit. To top it off, the coffee didn’t even taste good. Overall, the service was unfriendly and the experience was disappointing. Don’t go here.

Yelp
Heard about Casa Nane through Brickell Living and it did not disappoint! The place is adorable... super girly, cozy, and perfectly aesthetic. I went for lunch and left so full. Portions are generous and prices are totally fair, especially for being right across from the Mercedes-Benz Residences. The Mediterranean salad with shrimp was my favorite, so fresh and flavorful and the tostones on the side were perfection. Service was okay, but the food more than made up for it. Only downside is I would have loved to try an authentic hot sauce from Ecuador. They gave me a yummy side-sauce but would have loved to try that instead. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
All right, so just to wrap up the experience, here's a little note for Casa Nane, and anyone else who thinks it's okay to be sarcastic to paying customers. When a place asks you multiple times if you're dining in or taking out and then tries to shame you for sitting down with a coffee and a cookie, it's not just rude, it's a pretty unclassy business practice. Honestly, I felt like I was dealing with a place that didn't understand basic hospitality 101. And hey, just to add a little bit of a smart note: you know, in a lot of places, there's something called a reasonable expectation of service. If a customer is paying for a product, they kind of deserve a minimum level of respect and not to be humiliated over a small seating issue. So just a little friendly reminder to them: treating customers with a bit of courtesy isn't just good manners, it's pretty much common sense. And when the cookies are stale and the coffee's nothing special, maybe focus on making your treats good before you start worrying about a so-called service charge. Just a tip!

Yelp
Exellent service; ecuatorian, french and american food with a variety of fancy crosissants and custom designed flavored cookies, but also healthy food. I tried salmon egg benedict and quiche lorraine with cortadito. You also ask for protein shakes , smoothies and amazing coffee menu. TODOS LOS MOSOS HABLAN ESPAÑOL! Relax ambiance; a place for loocal but also if your are visiting Miami THEY DON'T ACCEPT CASH!

Yelp
Stopped by as it was across the street from my hotel and it had fairly decent reviews. Got a matcha and an apple pie cookie. The matcha was okay- definitely had better during my time in Miami. There's a lot of hype around their cookies and the apple pie one was fairly decent. Had real applies in it but didn't really remind me of apple pie as much as a cookie with applies. Beautiful interior and eh customer service, waited quite a while to be served.

Yelp
Casa Nané is a new Ecuadorian cafe that opened up in Brickell! My friend and I decided to drop by for their Matcha Monday deal and I was pleasantly surprised! You order at the front and they serve breakfast, lunch and pastries. They also have offer coffees, teas and matchas! My matcha latte was made to perfection! It was not too milky and tasted just right. The service was also super friendly! They have plenty of seating both inside and outside and have the cutest decor! I'm looking forward to stop by for lunch and to try some Ecuadorian dishes!

Yelp
Such a cute place! We all devoured our food and drinks. Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated & service was great. I got the chicken Caesar wrap with caramelized onions and an iced caramel latte, which was really delicious. My only complaint was that the fries didn't taste fresh, so I wasn't a fan of those. I love their diverse menu and there's definitely something for everyone. I'd love to return if I was in the area again.

Yelp
We came on a Saturday morning and they were overwhelmed with their crowd. They had a huge amount of bikers and they had one big table with a "reservered" sign so we were confused if we could sit there. We were forced to take the last table that was completely in the sun and it was hot. I recommend them getting some shades for the sunny morning. As more people came in, they broke up the big reserved table, so we ended up moving to a more shady spot. It was a long wait to order, but once we did it came out relatively quick I had the dubai pistachio iced latte and it was really good! It had the chocolate and pistachio syrup as well as the crunchy kataifi which was a nice touch. I had the three egg scramble which was good but lacking seasoning. My friend had an iced caramel latte and the acai bowl which was half frozen and had too much chewy granola and raisins. My recommendation for them: get some shades or an awning and stick to a coffee/grab and go situation with their pastries. Because their cookies also looked unreal.

Yelp
This place seems like it's been under construction forever - so I was so excited to see them open earlier this month! It is the newest cafe/bistro to the west side of Brickell with a large area for both indoor and outdoor seating! However, you can order to-go or sit in with table service. They are a vibrant coffee shop with everything from lattes, cortaditos, flat whites and more. They also offer smoothies and health juices. For food, they offer a small selection of baked goods - cakes, empanadas, croissants - and a full menu of brunch all day. However, the big seller of this place are the cookies! They are massive - almost as big as my hand - and in decadent flavors ranging from cookies and cream, to biscoff cookie butter, chocolate walnut and more; it also seems like they will offer seasonal flavors. They are clearly working through the normal opening pains - making sure employees know how to use the system, an efficient system for table service order, etc. - but I am sure those will all just work out with time. I'm looking forward to trying their full meal options for a proper brunch - but for now this is an excellent place to come, work with their free wifi, grab a hazelnut or pistachio latte and maybe indulge in a sweet treat!

Yelp
This place leaves a lot to be desired.. it looks trendy, cute, and clean inside but experience was not great. I'll start with the service. We came on a Saturday morning and there was no line but all tables were full, with two tables about to be cleaned. One of the waitresses/hostess said she'd clean one of the tables and seat us. Then, not a minute later, two Hispanic families came in and for some reason the hostess sat them at the table(s) she said she'd sit me and my girlfriend at. Being that we're in Miami and everyone at the restaurant presented hispanic besides my girlfriend and I (Asian), it rubbed me off the wrong way. When asking why she sat them down when she said we'd sit there and we came before them, she mumbled something I couldn't understand We then waited another 15 mins to sit inside and she delegated another waiter to serve our table. The food.. was ok. The cookie was the only redeeming item. The Cobb salad was mid. My gf describes the chicken as "super dry and without seasoning, made by a college gym bro who eats plain chicken with broccoli everyday." The eggs Benedict I got was also not very remarkable. These are staple cafe food items, but it took (no exaggeration) thirty minutes for the salad and eggs Benedict to come out. No apologies or updates from the staff on why these simple items took so long to come out. To improve, I'd recommend working on turnaround time for meals and if it's taking a while- give an update. Also, seat people when you saying you're going to seat them. Looking back now, it seems a bit discriminatory

Yelp
This cafe is so cute. It has a bright and open atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Very prompt and friendly service. I had a taro latte and a banana cinnamon muffin when I came for the first time and it was so good I had to come back. Specifically the muffin was quite literally the best muffin I have ever had - moist on the inside and nice crunch on top and a lovely balance between the sweet banana and the savory cinnamon. The second time I got the same muffin and a chai latte. I love how the coffee cups and merch have positive messages. You can tell by the staff and product that the mission statement of Casa Nané must be to serve the community with love.

Yelp
This is their first US location. They originally opened in Ecuador, so the menu features some Ecuadorian dishes like ceviche. You can also find popular brunch items like toasts, eggs, pastries, etc. I loved the pistachio latte and bruschetta toast.

Yelp
Cute lil bakery in Brickell. I love the decor and ambiance, even the bathrooms are so cute! We had the rib eye sandwich and the ham and cheese croissant , both delicious. Servings are big and prices are pretty fair. We also had a pistachio cookie that was served warm, delish!! A lil sweet for my taste but it was still yummy. Service was great, this is a good place to catch up with friends, work for a little or even study. Not too packed, not loud, super clean and prt friendly. Will definitely come back!!

Yelp
I absolutely loved my visit to Casa Nane. Every detail was perfect. The first lovely impression I had was the freshly squeezed grapefruit juice. The presentation was everything! My scrambled egg plate was delicious and, again, the presentation made the experience even more enjoyable. The service was above average and the ambience of the restaurant was so cute and relaxing. I'm rooting for this restaurant to have many successful years ahead of it. Do yourself a favor and go pay them a visit.

Yelp
I've been twice now, so this review is for both visits. The first time I went, I got an eggs Benedict. It was decent. The English muffin wasn't toasted; it should have been. The hollandaise was OK, I could've made better. It came with a small side salad which was good. I got an iced pistachio latte which was also good. My boyfriend got a cappuccino that came in a beautiful mug. I got a lemon cookie and a red velvet cookie to go. Both were yummy, I preferred the lemon one (even though I'm a big red velvet lover). The description in the display case for the red velvet cookie was odd. "Red coloring"?. Service was good but I could tell they were still ironing things out. I went today and ordered pancakes, a cappuccino, and a side salad. The pancakes were very good. The cappuccino was nice. The side salad could have used some more dressing, but for the price, I wasn't mad at all. The portion size of the side salad was ample and a good value for the money. Ken was the server we had last time and he's a true gem. He remembered me and I remembered him. Unfortunately, he's moving. I hope whomever they hire is just as good as he is. Overall, this is a good addition to the area with food that is solid and warm, attentive service.

Yelp
My family went here and the vibe seemed very nice. The staff were kind and they quickly guided us to our table. My husband and I ordered the Egg Benedict while my son ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo pasta. The food was fairly priced, but we had to wait for an extensive amount of time for our food even though there weren't many people ordering. After the food came we ate and my husband and I enjoyed it very much. My son however thought that his pasta wasn't good at all. He said that the sauce tasted strange and some noodles were undercooked. Overall the place was ok, but I would recommend coming when you have time and staying away from the pasta.

Yelp
Casa Nane was awesome! The food was fantastic and the service was super friendly. Everything we tried was spot on, but the real star was the bolón. Perfectly crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. Mixing it with the peanut salt and those pickled onions--wow, next level!

Yelp
As an elite reviewer I always look at other reviews for new places. I'm only the third review. One review is poor and I have to say I had the same issues. No greeting on arrival and I sat there almost 15 minutes before someone came to take my order. I let the server know there was a woman there before me and I pointed to her. They said "that's the owner" which meant the owner watched me be ignored. Bad start to a new business. Aside from that west Brickell needs this as the main competition, Crema, is always packed but always a 4-5 star review. And a second Crema is opening a few blocks from Nane, so they need to get in gear quick. I had a macchiato and French Toast. Both were very good. Also since there is plenty of seating inside and out that will help. But again, attention to customers. And this appears to be a problem at the top.

Yelp
Stopped in here for a coffee and açaí bowl to go. This cafe is SO cute, decorated with light colors and lots of natural light. It almost feels like you're sitting outside. The cashier and baristas were so nice and friendly- service a little slow but not bad and they apologized. Also to be expected with new place so it really wasn't a problem. The açaí bowl was delicious and fresh and the pistachio latte was unique and yummy. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because they charged a $1.20 fee for takeout and also auto gratuity of %18. That seems a bit excessive for coffee takeout. Regardless I would come back here for brunch or just to grab a coffee on the go if in the area.

Yelp

Yelp
The food here is exceptional! Such a warm and inviting atmosphere with the friendliest staff and some of the best coffee you'll find in Miami.

Yelp
Just too pricey for what it is. I was looking forward to a somewhat "normal" place for baked goods, breakfast, coffee, etc. in Brickell. Given that this new place is in West Brickell I hoped that I would not be gouged price-wise like we always are in Brickell. Unfortunately not. Don't get me wrong, this is a cute little place, the food is good and the service has been very good. I'm just a bit disappointed after going over to pick up two of their great Banana Cinnamon muffins and being charged over $17, which included an automatic service charge. This despite the fact that I walked up to the counter myself and never sat down for service. Sorry guys but that won't fly. While I want to be a frequent customer, that kind of presumptive tipping and high prices won't help the cause.
google avatar

Yelp
This was my first time ever having Ecuadorian food and Everything was absolutely delicious. Had the tigrillo and bolon mixto which were hearty and flavorful--but adding the Salprieta made everything next level. The cookies are really rich and sweet, as are the coffees. I got a caramel iced coffee and my friend got the pistachio iced coffee with the cute heart detailing. 10/10 would come back again!

Cali D.

Yelp
Website and sign says they close at 6 we showed up at 5:40 to get something quick and this lady who I'm assuming is the owner said we weren't allowed to sit down bc they were closing soon. We asked if we could at least sit outside and eat quickly and she said no. I'm sorry but if you close at 6 then close at 6 not 5:40. If you want to close at 5:40 then put that as your store hours!! So lazy, like if you don't want to work just say that. Lady said it in such a bitchy way too like she didn't even want us to order anything so we took our money elsewhere. Customer service is down the tank. We ended up finding a nicer bakery called Rosetta. I recommend you go there instead of whatever this place is.

Yasniel D.

Yelp
Good afternoon everyone, today 06/09/2025 we were with friends at lunch time at an exquisite place already known by us Ecuador Team Soccer. The place is close to our soccer field. To not delay further, we were served at the entrance of the Place by the Server Mr. Ernesto Service, Attention, Speed and Quality in the dishes . The coffee naturally Italian KIMBO and the girl Jimena a lovely person very professional in her work!. In short, Casa Nane, as always, sets the highest level for restaurants present in the area.

Bridget M.

Yelp
Excellent fresh food and pleasant people and service! Highly recommend. The guava and cheese croissant was very good.

Emily M.

Yelp
I tried this place because I got a "free coffee bar item" ("free coffee bar item valid on item up to $7") coupon in the mail! I ordered the iced pistachio latte .... It was so bad .... I actually couldn't even drink it ... Then I go to check out and they refused to accept my coupon because it didn't include "specialty items". When I showed them that the coupon says up to $7 they refused again. SOOOO disappointing

Elissa W.

Yelp
What a lovely breakfast. The food portions are huge and so yummy! Awesome coffee and tea. The friendliest staff.

Yelp
Had a fantastic eggs Benedict breakfast. Super fresh and really accommodating servers. My friends raved about their breakfast selections too. Coffees are out of control!!

Yelp
Food was very good and the people are super nice. From the ceviche to the bolon mixto everything was amazing. Will be back. Que viva

Yelp
This place has potential to be great but needs a lot of work. First I'll start by saying that I've been here at least 20 times just because the coffee is absolutely amazing, specifically the pistachio latte. The sandwiches are such a hit or absolute miss. Ribeye sandwich is terrible and barely has ribeye. On the other hand the prosciutto di Parma blew my mind when I first had it, it was warm, toasty and stuffed with tons of prosciutto and a phenomenal pesto. I came back so many times to have this sandwich and the latte and every time it just got progressively worse. The last time I had it, it had exactly ONE slice of prosciutto in the entire sandwich and that was the last straw for me on having food here. The absolute worst thing here was always the service. Like not one single employee in this place actually cares. They do not greet you on entry, they do not bring you water unless you ask, if you ask them to cut a sandwich in half for sharing they refuse to do it in the kitchen and tell you to do it yourself. They don't bring you sharing plates unless you ask. The coffee in the ceramic mugs is always cold because they do not warm the mug before pouring in the coffee so I always get it in a to go cup. They don't bring you anything to stir sugar into the coffee with when you do get a to go cup. The server is in lala land at all times, takes forever to slowly bring over your coffee, it's impossible to get her attention because they are always chatting and they force a service charge on you and then watch you while you're paying for you to tap if you want to leave even more tip. I will continue coming for a coffee which I will take to go but won't be eating or sitting down for service here ever again.

Nicole J.

Yelp
food was okay, not flavorful. Ecuadorian specials were bland. server added tip to 3 adults and a kid and didn't let us know so he got double tipped

April B.

Yelp
I absolutely love this little spot. Their Caesar wrap is absolutely perfection. The homemade dressing with the toasted wrap and perfectly cooked chicken - I cannot stop coming back. Their pistachio latte is also unbelievable. Their pastries and cookies are so fresh. I also love how it's laidback and you can sit where you want and they'll come to you.

Nancy S.

Yelp
Was looking forward to trying, cute little spot, lovely interior. Wasn't greeted when entered, or walked up to the display case; A simple "Hello, welcome" goes a long way. A little pricey for what they offer. Berry smoothie was bitter. Not sure if they forgot to add simple syrup to lemonade, but it was way too sour. The cookies have lots of components.
