"Originally built for the local bishop in the 18th century, this stunning six-room mansion is tucked into the heart of San Miguel de Allende. The late fashion photographer Deborah Turbeville lived in Casa No Name for more than twenty years, and made it famous in a photo book. This hotel is a dream come true. Magical is the only word to describe our stay there. The staff running the hotel were top notch and were so friendly and accommodating to our needs. They made sure when we left to explore the town we knew exactly where we were going. They recommended the best restaurants and walks and everything to make our dream trip come true. We decided to move to SMA after our trip and feel the vibe we experienced at Casa No Name contributed to our decision.

In my many years of travel, I have never experienced a hotel of this unique charm and elegance. The historical significance of the view of the tunnel to the church from 1812 in our room was amazing. We felt as if the entire property was our home. A standout feature of Casa No Name is its exceptional staff. Team members Eliana, Carmen, and Jose are exemplary ambassadors of the hotel’s brand, consistently providing personalized and attentive service. Their dedication made our experience memorable and felt as if it was custom tailored to our preferences. We will be back!

d offer ear plugs in room but even with them in it was unbearable. I changed rooms at it is slightly better but still awful. Next the promise of coffee and water in room is only complimentary once. If you stay more than one night there is a fee. Second the Continental breakfast they advertise is actually just juice or coffee and one small slice of banana bread. Not the beautiful spread they describe and show in pictures. The Sunday brunch experience is no more since COVID. Maybe change the website. The vehicle that is offered based on availability is on for one hour without extra charge and traffic is so bad in SMA you couldn’t get anywhere and back in that time. The jacuzzi tubs must be reserved so the water can heat up so you better know what you need ahead of time. Booked for a week and spent a fortune to be very disappointed. They are very polite about disappointing you but nothing had been done to correct the problems. There are tons of beautiful places here. Look elsewhere!

This was our first trip to San Miguel. We were welcomed by the owner and Daniella with moist towels, water and a taste of Mezcal. We loved the quaint quiet environment during our stay. The staff trested us well and when we requested ice it was brought to our room. The food for breakfast was overall good. We enjoyed visiting with everyone and learning about Deborah Tuberville. We will recommend this hotel in the future. One note: San Miguel does have a 16% IVA along with a 4% Lodging tax which does add to the cost.

This is one of the finest boutique hotels we have ever experienced… the place itself is a UNESCO site, an amazing historical building, curated into a spectacular 6-room hotel. But the people and the impeccable service and friendliness is what stands out. Every detail was tended to before we even thought of it. Our room had its own entrance with a beautiful balcony and fireplace, all the history but state of the art amenities. Breakfast was our favorite with homemade breads, and Roberto the bartender was the best. Sonia and Danielle answered every question and helped us find the best restaurants. Can’t wait to go back!

I hardly ever write hotel reviews but this place was so bad that travellers need to be warned. First of all this is not a boutique hotel (let alone a 4/5 star one as advertised), there’s barely any staff available other than a receptionist. Barely any food offering either. As other travellers noted, the check-in process is a mess, I was chased more than five times before even arriving to sign a credit card authorisation form after I had already been charged for the whole stay. I was travelling at the time without access to a printer but I was told my booking could not be “confirmed and guaranteed” without the form so I was unsure till I got to the place whether I would have a room despite having paid in full. The place is tiny and I’m not talking boutique tiny, just small and badly kept. It also looks much better in pictures than in real life. No soundproofing in rooms so all the noise comes in from the terrace and rooftop making it impossible to rest. Was meant to be given upgrade (rooms were available online) and welcome amenities but received nothing, other than a sad “fruit platter” made up of two apples. Dirty rug in the room. The whole place (staff included) feels unwelcoming and stingy. There’s prices on everything in the room, breakfast is pitiful (just some coffee tea and bread). There is no service and bad management attitude shows they do not care either. There are a million lovely hotels in San Miguel, so do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else.

A Beautiful Hidden Gem in San Miguel de Allende What a beautiful hidden gem in San Miguel de Allende! While we haven’t tried the food yet, we visited for a late afternoon drink, and the margaritas were delicious. The atmosphere is quiet and so Zen, making it the perfect spot to relax. We can’t wait to return and explore their menu. If you’re in town, this place is definitely worth a visit!

The main hotel is charming and beautiful touches. We were in the other building 10 minutes walk and not as charming but clean with the wonderful housekeeping lady. What was not appreciated was how stingy they were. Even the plastic water bottle next to the bed had a price tag and if you use more than one pod pe person you are charges. They charges us extra $100 a night for the 3 rd person and didn't give us an extra coffee pod!! |Make sure you don't open the wrapping of the room freshener because you might get charged $38 since the price tag is inside the wrapper.

Yelp
This place is beautiful and the staff are very polite but if read their website and expect what the offer don't waste your money. First of all even if they actually offered what is advertised it is way too expensive for the area. Here is what happened to me. After checking in and trying to sleep the lofts no name where I am staying is in the intersection of two very busy very noisy streets and the windows don't actually seal so you get all the noise. They did offer ear plugs in room but even with them in it was unbearable. Yelp
Amazing bed and breakfast. Tapas were delicious. Our host Gustavo was very attentive. The chef even came out to greet us and recommend some items from her menu. Highly recommended. And safe for tourists.

Yelp
My wife and I just happened to be walking down the street and were SO lucky to find this place. Allow me to set the tone with noting we are very picky couple that appreciates the finer things in life and we were so impressed with this place. We didn't stay here because we didn't even know it existed. The breakfast was outstanding. Believe me when I say the owners have sealed the deal when it comes to class, taste and atmosphere. It's fantastic. Tour the property. Book the room. Or do what my wife and I did - enjoy a peaceful breakfast and make a reservation for dinner. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Came here on the advice of a friend. Beautiful garden spot on a rooftop. Incredible seating options. Best margarita so far. May come back for tapas or pizza in the future.
