Google
Casa Victoria serves up some great, authentic Chinese dim sum, but be ready for crowds (especially lunch/weekends). - Tip: less crowd after 2:00pm. I’m talking flavorful stuff! Don’t miss the baked BBQ pork puff with almond, steamed pork dumpling with fish roe, and roast duck with noodles. The space is comfortable - cozy seating, good light, and high ceilings. Prices are reasonable. If you don’t mind the wait, it’s worth checking out. Let me know what you think and how your experience was.

We had our wedding reception dinner here and it was FANTASTIC! From point of booking to the evening of the wedding, David and his team worked to bring my vision to life. David was available to answer any and all of my questions and requests (I had a ton!) despite me being in the UK and in a different time zone. I was able to meet with him a few times in person, and each time, he was utterly pleasant to work with. The evening of the wedding went splendidly. The room and table set up was beautifully done. The service was quick and the food was delicious. My guests are still talking about how the food was amazing and they were stuffed by course 8 but kept going! I am so grateful for the staff at Casa Victoria. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you’re considering hosting your wedding reception here.

Google
Yummy yum cha place in town! We had a great experience at 紫爵金宴. The dim sum was delicious, portions were generous, and we could really tell they didn’t overload on MSG, which is a big plus! Everything came out hot and fresh. Our favourites were the beef balls, siu mai, and cha siu 👉🏿 just perfect. Service was efficient and friendly, though we did feel a bit rushed when we had finished our food and were just sitting around to chit chat.😅 The restaurant is great for family gatherings or bringing friends from out of town. Pricing is reasonable for the quality and portion size. Definitely a spot we’ll return to. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a good yum cha place!

Google
Had my wedding reception in a private room at Casa Victoria and everyone was happy with the food and service was nothing short of fantastic. The jumbo shrimp was the crowd favourite! Our waitress was amazing and quick to serve us and was flexible due to a delayed start on our part. I am glad to have one of the most important moment of my life spent in a memorable and inviting place. Thanks to Homer L. who helped me customize the menu and being very accommodating from the very beginning.

Google
I recently attended a banquet at Casa Victoria Fine Dining in Markham and it was a really good evening. Our meal was a ten course dinner that included BBQ meats, soup, beef, seafood, and more. It was all delicious! The décor and ambiance were upscale and the service was excellent. It was a good evening!

Google
Pretty decent dim sum spot. Food was ok; not great but not bad for most parts. Some food came out warm (like the rice roll) instead of hot but tasted ok. On the pricier side compared to other dim sum locations but not bad. With the dishes we got, it ended up being about $30 per person before tips.

Google
This is easily one of the best dim sum spots in Toronto! The food is consistently fresh and flavorful, especially the red rice noodle rolls and siu mai, which are absolutely delicious. The atmosphere really gives off that authentic Cantonese vibe, like you’re back in an old-school tea house in Guangzhou. Service is quick and efficient, and the whole experience feels warm and lively. Highly recommend giving it a try if you’re craving proper dim sum!

Google
This chinese restaurant has been here for a long time. It has a luxurious feel with reasonable dim sum prices. Get here before 12 pm on weekends and you won't need to wait long for a table, otherwise it gets super packed. Staff are very attentive at refilling tea and taking plates away. I will return.

Yelp
Good food overall. Their pork Cha Sui was delicious. Their chicken with rice inside was unique and different, but wasn't for me. Soup with fish was quite tasty and their greens were a bit on the older tasting side (not as fresh. Great aura and staff here.

Yelp
Dim sum craving hit hard! Thought of going back to Casa Imperial but learned that they have a sister location, Casa Victoria. So, here we were with high hopes! Casa Victoria did not disappoint. We had: #1. Mushrooms and vegetables dumpling #2. Sticky Rice With Conpoy Chicken In Lotus Leaf Parcel #3. Bean Curd Roll With Shrimp Pork In Abalone Sauce #4. Pan Fried Short Ribs With Maggie Lemon Honey Sauce #5.Pan Fried Shrimp Chives Dumplings #6.Deep Fried Golden Taro Dumpling #7. Shrimp Red Rice Noodle Roll #8. Stir Fried Silver Needle Noodles With Xo Sauce #9.Stir Fried jumbo Shrimp rice with egg white sauce #10. Stuffed Tofu With Shrimp Paste Except for #1., which was quite average, all the others were above average, each had its unique twist and creativity. Tasted multidimensional, the flavors were not repetitive. #5 had a slight peanut flavor - delicious. I wished it had the surface crispier, but the taste balance felt perfect for me. #7 had amazing textures, with plumpy and juicy shrimp in the center, which is stuffed in crispy fried donut, which was wrapped in soft and chewy rice roll. Loved #8, silver needle noodles. First time to try this noodle...impressive! Bouncy and chewy, coated by Xo Sauce with rich dried shrimp flavor. The seasoning was just right amount to enjoy the noodle itself. #9's shrimps were huge and generous, crispy and juicy! Perfectly seasoned rice was covered by fluffy egg white sauce. Impressive! I also recommend #3. Best steamed bean curd ever. Abalone Sauce coated the bean curd wrinkles and permeated the juicy shrimp and pork staffing. Juicy and hot even after 30mins of arriving at the table. Enjoyed every bite of it. #6's seasoning was perfect. Not too sweet, which is my preference. Will come back again! 100%!

Yelp
First time eating dim sum in Canada. It's super crowded here on the weekends but the food came out relatively fast. The portion size for the dumplings are huge compared to what I'm used to in the USA. No complaints. Solid dim sum that'll definitely hit the spot if this is what you're craving for. If you go on the weekend, I'd suggest going right when they open.

Yelp
Had dinner here but the food was not that good. We had the 10 courses menu but overall the food is kind of blend. There are only a few that are alright like the sweet sour pork ( found it a little fat ) and the duck. I think their dim sum time is better but wouldn't recommend for dinner.

Yelp
Nice dim sum and service! One of the top dim sum to go place in Markham. Their food never disappoints us! A must go place if you are looking for quality dim sum.

Yelp
Went here for a baby's 100 day celebration. The place settings were beautifully done. Even the table cloth was lovely. I was in awe. We had the food from the 'Comfort Abalone' set meal. To start off, each place setting had the red boiled egg for the 100 day celebration. All the food was tasty, tender and fresh. The lobster was especially good. The fish, wasn't my favorite as it tasted earthy as bass usually does. Staff and service was impeccable and efficient. They provided a new plate for every dish which was nice. Our wait staff was pleasant and on top of everything, even up to the refilling of the tea and hot water.

Yelp
Casa Victoria CRUSHED dinner tonight! We didn't have a reservation but they fit us in. We ordered snow pea leaves sautéed in garlic, a steamed fish, Singapore noodles among other items, and the food was well prepared. The steamed fish was silky smooth, not over steamed; the snow pea leaves were sautéed and seasoned well. While we didn't order from their set dinner, they still gave us complementary dessert. Service is attentive--speaks Cantonese, Mandarin and English. Accepts credit card. Highly recommended with plans of returning in the future!
google avatar

Mark L.

Yelp
The dim sum dishes were very creative. Flavor were good. The shrimp dumpling however was average. The abalone was pretty good.
google avatar

Jacqueline K.

Yelp
Solid dim sum place - we got various dishes but some of my favorites were the savory dumplings (which were cutely shaped like carrots), the mango pudding, and the shrimp dumplings (which were 2-3 times larger than any I've ever had at other dim sum places). The restaurant is clean, although service can be kind of hit-or-miss, as it's quite busy on the weekends.
google avatar

Daniel K.

Yelp
Really good dim sum place. Banquet hall type set up. All the greatest dim sum hits on the menu, executed at a very high level. Service is a bit slower than typical dim sum place but not outrageous. This is a place worth checking out.
google avatar

Maya L.

Yelp
A good dimsum place, however I would advise to line up before it opens especially on a weekend. We got a few items to share. My favourites were the crispy tarp dumplings and the durian puff pastry. I would recommend trying these two items. Most of the other dishes you can find at any dim sum place. The restaurant is huge with lots of nice seating, great for a larger family gathering.

Jim W.

Yelp
The reviews online on Google is so different from my experience, I wonder if it was paid to publish. It is typically to still wait up to one hour even with a reservation placed during dim sum period. Often I see "regulars" get ushered in without and appointments, and you can see how the servers's face light a smile... Anyhow the food taste good but service is questionable at best.
google avatar

Patti L.

Yelp
The food is amazing. Saw a recommendation on fb. The place is bright, clean and busy. We arrived around 10:20 without a reservation and was lucky there was a table available. They open at 10 and it was bustling already. There was only 4 of us. Reservations is highly recommended if you have a large party. Some tables were given bowls to rinse off their dishes. We didn't get one so they must have known we were tourists. I guess we could have asked for it. The staff all had different roles. Some delivered the dishes, another may refill the tea pot. The size of the dim sum pieces were huge. Not like anything we've seen before. Everything we tried was flavorful and delicious. We will definitely be back when we come back to visit. We'd like to try it for dinner.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a go to dim sum. It's a big restaurant that usually has seating (although there are still line ups some times). Dim sum is good with a good selection of the standards.

Peter S.

Yelp
Food was great there, I liked the fried rice. The fried rice there was heavenly good. The fried rice there was always my dream. They have other tasty dim sum as well.
google avatar

CC L.

Yelp
I've been here a few times. Mostly for dim sum. The decor here is Victorian style and quite elaborate. Service is usually friendly when I came here. You get most varieties of dim sum here, usually hot food is served and pricing a bit on pricier side, but most dim sum places are no longer reasonably priced now. If you know the servers you get in quicker. Tea is calculated per person.

Yelp
Came back right before dine in was not allowed at the beginning of this year 2022. So happy this was the last place for my dim sum needs. Service was fast, food is always reliable in terms of flavour (for the most) and they abide well to COVID restrictions and PPE. You have a bowl to wash your dishes and utensils if you like as well prior to using. A few hand sanitizers located around the restaurant. Seating is spaced out to try to accommodate the capacity. Reasonably priced for large dumplings and overall quality of the food is good. Red rice noodle rolls with fried shrimp 5/5 - really enjoyed their take on this popular dish. The rice noodle rolls were soft with a nice springy texture, not mushy or overcooked. Surprisingly the fried panko like crusted shrimp was still crispy even after being wrapped with the rice noodle, and the overall dish tasted fresh with no staleness. Really enjoyable. Steamed dumplings 5/5 - big plump juicy dumplings regardless of which filling you got. Their hargow was full of juicy and big prawns, siumai had good bounce from the meat, chive dumplings was fragrant, chiu chou dumplings had a nice crunch from the peanuts. Overall all very well made. Huge dumplings though which to be honest I might prefer smaller ones given I like to have more variety with my dimsum, but here you may get full quite fast. BBQ pork steam buns 5/5 - soft fluffy bao bun not over cooked and nice filling inside. Ratio was adequate as well. Chicken feet 3/5 - this was the only dish I can say that may have been a miss, given it had the freezer burn taste. Still edible but wont be my go to. Spring Rolls and Taro Puffs 4/5 - both were well seasoned, with good amount of filling and freshly fried. The taro puff had a nice netting exterior to create that textural contrast to the minced pork inside. The spring rolls were crispy and crunchy, as it should be. Glutinous rice in lotus leaf 4.5/5 - again another beautifully seasoned dish, very big in size and good cook on the glutinous rice as it wasnt overly mushy. The 0.5 mark off is from the yolk inside as it was very dry and hard, which I didnt particularly enjoy. Overall, no complaints really. They do takeout too so that will be nice for those that crave dimsum! Parking is hard to find in that plaza so maybe it's not a bad idea.

Yelp
We had an excellent Chinese New Year's Eve dinner last night!! Food was so delicious and service was exceptional!!

Yelp
Go to for takeout dim sum during Covid19! RESTAURANT/SERVICE: Review is for during the Covid19 Pandemic. Josephine who runs the place is awesome as my mom's been just messaging her to get our orders in and we pick up the food. The package is fantastic, feels clean, organized with all the condiments that you need. FOOD: Yummy. Casa Victoria's dim sum I would say is on the higher end in terms of the quality of food. We had an assortment of dishes so I won't go into each one but it's all good!
google avatar

Denise P.

Yelp
Casa Victoria makes really solid dim sum! Their price is reasonable and their menu items are always of good quality. I've never had sloppy looking or inconsistent food though ordering from them many times through the pandemic. They also have a wide range of dim sum you can choose from. Their dinner menu is a bit pricey, but again, you get what you pay for!
google avatar

Calvin L.

Yelp
Not bad for takeout. The dim sum is decent. The haw gaws were large, with a thin wrapper, and the shrimps were tasty. But man, the haw gaws were almost $8. The second item that we ordered was some pork rib and fish maw congee. I didn't notice any fish maw, but it did have some peanuts. To observe C19 precautions, there is an enter door and separate exit door. The walkway to order takeout is lined with tables for takeout menus and a waiting area with chairs spaced apart. However, there is a dine-in section with cutlery/bowls/cups in separate plastic bags and about 3 tables dining in. Tip: pay in cash to get a discount

Yelp
Reserved a table for Sunday night only to end up being turned away at the door as they were holding a private function. Extremely unprofessional and said we got the wrong place even though we double checked with them the day before. Utterly disappointed as we were celebrating a birthday! Had to scramble to find another restaurant. Don't recommend at all!!!

Yelp
Great quality of food and service! Ambiance is lovely too. We go to them on our major special occasions.

Yelp
We came here for my moms birthday and I was pleasantly surprised. The average ratings on google were way better than Yelp so I decided to try (as I was thought that Yelp was more "younger" influenced. The service was amazing. For a table of 4, we only ordered a 2 person set plus one entree to split. We don't eat too much. I was expecting some attitude as generally restaurants see it as a cheap way to have "expensive" eats like abalone and sea cucumber. For us, the issue was more the volume of food usually so we were pleasantly surprised by the very excellent service we received. The 2 person meal included a fish maw soup (which was a tad too salty), 2 servings of sea cucumber with goose feet, a quail (乳鴿) sorry not sure if that's the right english name, steamed sea bass and a fried rice. The extra dish we added was chestnut chicken. The food was all amazing with excellent flavour though slightly salty for us but we could tell the chef was phenomenal. The dessert was a mung green bean soup with mango pudding and an almond cookie. All that for $200. We would definitely be back.
google avatar

Wilson C.

Yelp
Dinner set take out for 4 was just mediocre. Some dishes were very bland, while others such as the bbq pork was super salty.
google avatar

Angela L.

Yelp
This is a decent place for dim sum, the price is okay with some items being a bit expensive. Their portions are also decent. I just wish they had more congee options like the preserved egg congee :(. But other than that it's good and I would definitely visit again.
google avatar

Dennis C.

Yelp
We have not been here for a while for dinner. Not sure why considering we come here a lot for dim sum-good place but lots of people (and potential long wait time). Unlike lunch when it's packed, dinner was a quiet, unrushed and comfortable affair (which is my preference). Seating was spacious and service polite and prompt. We picked a "set dinner" and added a few extra dishes. They actually had a lot of set choices which is good since it saves me the trouble of thinking about a "base" meal. Pricing ranges from high to higher (but seriously it's typically for this type of restaurant and food). The quality and taste of the food was good and was cooked well. The timing when the food come was good so we did not feel rushed. Servers portioned everything for us and also transferred food from big to smaller plates so our table was not jammed packed. Definitely a good choice for premium Chinese cuisine especially if you have a lot of people in your party.
google avatar

Christy L.

Yelp
Dishes were slow to come out. Fried foods were done nicely but the steamed foods seemed to be quite small in portion sizing.
google avatar

Jenny Y.

Yelp
An upscale dim sum/Chinese cuisine that doesn't have ripped table cloths/chair covers, nice! Food I must say is quite good and consistent, given that they've changed owners and the menu has been tweaked. Yes, you pay a little bit more than average, but the seating is more comfortable and the portions are bigger. Its a loud, noisy restaurant, which is typical for most Chinese cuisines. They have quite some options for dim sum, and the signature items are the ones that have the "thumbs up" icon beside it. Their baked bbq pork bun and pan fried shrimp and chives dumpling are a usual. We also ordered their bbq duck noodles (large) and the portion was generously huge. If you arrive before 11AM on the weekends, you usually won't have to wait as long for a table, and probably even get seated immediately. Arrive after that time, the wait can be quite long. So make reservations before coming, especially for larger groups of people.
google avatar

Jess W.

Yelp
My parents are regulars at this restaurant and so we come here often for dim sum or dinner. Like most reviewers wrote about my place, the food is on the pricier end but their service and attentiveness to your needs are impeccable. However, with regards to the food standard... I feel the standard has gone down quite a bit. Today, I was here for dim sum and the fried rice that we ordered tasted waaaaaaaay over salted. The other dim sums were alright, nothing in the flavours "wow-ed" me. I read that a reviewer waited a while for a table. I would attest that you do need some sort of connection with the waiter/waitress not to get stuck waiting forever while others--who came after-- get a table before you. This is especially true during the weekend and special holidays.

Yelp
A Post-Wedding banquet dinner to honor the newlywed couple was held on a Sunday night. The banquet dinner 喜酒 (hei2 zau2) was lovely and delicious treat in traditional Chinese Cantonese banquet of twelve (12) courses is certainly abundance. Quality of food is very good. Based on memory, our large party occupying seven (7) tables with lazy Susans indulged on: Roasted suckling pig with jelly fish was very lovely Shark's fin soup with crab meat Deep fried crab claws Stuffed conches with chopped up conch meat, celery, bamboo shoots Crispy fried chicken 炸子雞 (zaa3 zi2 gai1) and prawn crackers 蝦片 haa1 (xiā piàn) pin3 (pian4) Bok Choy 白菜 baak6 coi3 (bai2 cai4) vegetables and mushroom in oyster sauce Scallops, shrimp and vegetables Lobster Abalone 鮑 baau1 (bao4) and vegetables with sea cucumber Fish - sea bass Banquet fried rice Stir fried egg noodles Dessert: Red Bean Soup 紅豆沙 hung4 dau6*2 saa1 (hong2 dou4 sha1) Tea pastries 喜饼 filled with mocha sweet black sesame paste Waiter service is attentive. This restaurant is equipped with a microphone for couples and their parents to make announcements and a overhead projector screen play videos and photos from one's laptop on a loop. Unfortunately, there were small flies floating around during our entire meal probably fungus gnats which were very annoying as we enjoying our feast. This restaurant is the sister to Casa Imperial. It is the standard grand ballroom Chinese banquet style restaurant. The chandeliers are very ornate. Like any Chinese restaurants, BYO alcohol (beer and wine only) is practiced, however Casa Victoria does provide wine glasses. Facilities are relatively clean. A parking lot is available on site. Restaurant is street level which is accessible for patrons using cane or walker.

Yelp
This review is based on a late afternoon weekday Casa Victoria visit more than a month ago. Casa Victoria provides delicious food in an elegant and extremely clean dining room. The beef ribs were among the best I had for dim sum. The piping hot beef tendons tasted very good. The red rice rolls with battered shrimps, a bit different from standard rice rolls with shrimp, were satisfying. The sui mai were sized for modest appetite diners. Casa Victoria is a recommended place for those looking to eat in a refined setting.
google avatar

Sandy C.

Yelp
Got take out dim sum. Food not too bad... food general good flavour, and worth the price. We got ha gaw, pork tummy, beef meatball and other dim sum. I enjoyed the black sesame dessert mochi.

Yelp
My mom and I decided to try this place out since it's been in the area and we haven't tried it before. It's a bit pricier in terms of Chinese restaurants so we expect it to have great quality service and food. When I went in, the hostess asked how many and I said two. Then she said 過來, which is a rather rude way to say "come here", similar to "get over here". She should have said please follow me. And she didn't even motion for me to go with her, just expected me to go with her. The tea itself was very mild in taste even after 4 refills. I understand it takes time to steep but taste should come forth after 2 refills. The dim sum was on par, if not worse, than NKS banquet restaurant. Food was average taste. Siu mai has conpoy which I suppose is interesting but there is no need for it. It falls off and you can't combine it with the pork taste. The shrimp rolls usually do not have chives... But their recipe calls for it. What I disliked is the squid and scallop Siu mai wrapped in seaweed. It doesn't need that much... Goo? To keep it together. The tastes did not mix well with each other, and the portion was small. Would not recommend, despite their teapots and utensils were pretty. I do appreciate they didn't have chipped utensils.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of coming here for a golf tournament banquet. I can't remember how many courses we had but it was a lot, including Peking Duck to start, Tiger Shrimps with Broccoli, Crispy Chicken, and much more. Each dish was presented and served by a server. Very good service. Good tasting food too! The decor of the restaurant was elegant and very upscale. There was a stage that was used for awards presentations but would be perfectly suited for a head table at a wedding. There was also a very large screen and projector above the stage. Overall, very good experience.

Yelp
My impression of Casa Victoria has fallen quite significantly after my most recent dimsum visit. The place is definitely in need of a facelift (lights are very dusty, curtains and tablecloths are super worn). Their dimsum prices are in the upper end of Markham/Richmond Hill options, and while they have an expanded set of dimsum options, they've taken off some my favourites like the chives and shrimp dumplings and so many of their choices are now large / XL options. Their quality of food is okay, but nothing that remarkable. Their staff members spend plenty of time talking with each other and unfortunately not enough time refilling water or taking down orders. Washrooms can be quite awful especially on the weekends, they have little to no water coming from their faucets. Expect a wait if you come during peak hours on weekends / holidays, and reservations for dimsum carry little to no weight, so it's a first come first served basis.
google avatar

Yu X.

Yelp
This place shares the same owner with Casa Imperial. We came here a few times for dinner and dim sum (always a lone lineup for weekend dim sum). The quality of the dim sum was average with not many choices but with some signature dishs such as the steamed BBQ pork buns. The dinner here was decent. Veggie dish was made with the right temrapture. Steamed fish was flavourful and fresh. Meat dishes were decent too, tender and yummy.
google avatar

Angel C.

Yelp
Visited here once on a random occasion to try a different dim sum place one Sunday. Their prices for the dishes are on the higher side, and the quality isn't all that great. You can easily tell with the texture of the rice rolls. You're basically paying for the "Victorian" ambience inside, not quite the food. Service is your typical average for a dim sum spot, nothing spectacular, and definitely not worth the extra money that I have to spend. First and last time here, that's for sure!
google avatar

Charles Y.

Yelp
Called in to order suckling pig and they told me it was $22 over the phone. Got there and it wasn't ready and so I wanted to pay and do some grocery shopping first. Then I saw $42! And asked how many lbs and the waitresses didn't know. Just shrugged. Stupid me paid and got this when I got back from No Frills. It's crispy and tasty but $42?! Mother warned me not to go. Always listen to your mother. Lack of communication and I just got legally robbed.
google avatar

Allison Y.

Yelp
I came for dim sum based on the rave reviews. Maybe my expectation was set high, or maybe the food had gone downhill, I wouldn't say I was a fan of the dim sum here. The food tasted good, as in they tasted exactly the way they were supposed to. These were classic dim sum done right. The ingredients were of good quality. The prices were really high. A large dim sum costed over $6. You thought you could order small and medium dim sum instead? Not really. Many popular and traditional items were denoted as large dim sum. The result was a much higher than average cost per person, just to be full. The price premium is beyond the food quality and service quality premium.

Yelp
Excellent Chinese restaurant in Richmond Hill. Fancy place hidden in regular strip mall at Warden and Hwy 7. They have taken thoughtful precautions for social distancing and clean sanitization as required to dine comfortably in this weird new world. This nicely decorated restaurant has spread out their tables and even put screens to separate some of the smaller tables so you definitely do not feel crowded. The place settings are sealed in saran wrap for each individual seat so you know that no one has touched your plates before you. Ok enough about decor and table settings....the food..oh the food.....so delicious. I tend to over order when I can't decide what to eat ;) I ordered the signature fried rice, shui Mai, Cheung fun, spare ribs, shrimp salad fried dumplings, spring rolls, etc etc etc....lol Everything was fantastic and I would order again. I also saw additional dishes when a waitress passed by and they looked so good I asked what it was so I could order next time. It was turnips and I really wanted to try but I was way too full! I promise I won't forget to order that next time. The service was great, from the hostess to the managers to the waitress that served me. I can't wait to come back. If you have not tried this place make sure you go. Don't deprive your taste buds of this very worthy experience!

Yelp
Came here for Christmas Eve dinner - we had 6 people and ordered a 8 person set. The servers were very nice an attentive they plate up individual servings as each dish comes. We asked for the food to be slowed down because everything was getting cold and we couldn't eat fast enough, at one point we had 2-3 individually plated dishes in-front of us so the table was pretty hectic. Although the server requested the chef to slow it down they still didn't. They even changed plates after eating one piece of lobster. The lobster was tiny, the body pieces were cut into 4-6 pieces and were about 2cm big (they were likely under 1.5lbs each) . You could tell they cut down our portions from a 8 person meal to 6, for the fried rice we each only got one bowl of rice, similar to all the other dishes (fish, sucking pig 2 pieces each person) even the dessert (cookies, chrysanthemum jello) were six pieces. We mentioned it to them so they ended up giving us a little bit more dessert. Overall not worth 550 dollars, I don't think we'll come here again I know that there are other restaurants with much better quality and reasonable portion sizes for that price.

Yelp
Overrated. You've lost my vote as a restaurant to come back to. Number one, as we walk in, you walk by us without any greeting. Yet you treat your usual customers with more preference. Number two, your food is higher priced yet it's mediocre. Yeah...So you have some fancier stuff on your menu...SOOOO WHAT??? Number three, it takes you awhile to come and refill our tea pots. Come on, your restaurant isn't even full yet during the time we were there. Number four, not one 'thank you' after we paid and when we left. WTF??? Sorry...You FAIL in my books. P.S. If choosing a place for a wedding reception, avoid this restaurant. Parking will be horrendous for your guests since it's a shared lot with NO FRILLS and TD CANADA TRUST.

Yelp
1st time here for dim sum. Wasn't really welcoming when we enter the doors. Two employees walked by us without saying anything. One looked like she was management or someone that takes reservations at the podium. There was no one at the podium. And she was just walking around watering the plants around the front door and near the podium. I looked at her a few times she just ignored my glare. We waited for someone to acknowledge our party. Finally someone within the restaurant asked us how many ppl. The place was overall nice and clean and very well lit with the fancy chandeliers. It was bright with the contrast of the golden decor. We marked off a few items, saw some fancy high end items, but we went basic. Ha Gow~ Big in Size at least 2 full shrimps inside. Not bad in flavour. Wished there was bamboo shoots to compliment the shrimps. Siu Mai~ Huge in Size as well. Had some dried shredded pork on top of each dumpling. Taste was there but a bit strong on the msg. Fried Dough Wrapped with Steamed Rice Roll & Crusted Cashews~ Nothing special just basic and a sprinkle of cashews. Chiu Chow Fun Gao~ Tasty wasn't bad. Decent Size and Filling was packed. Lotus Leaf Sticky Rice~ Flavour was there but it was a bit salty for me. Pan Fried Turnip Cake~ Again really salty and too much rice flour. Was really stiff. Yellow & Green Chive Spring Rolls~ Took forever to get our last item. It was alright but nothing special. We also had our teapots open for indication that we needed a refill. Took a long time doing that too. It's like they didn't even want our business. No smile, no thank you for paying, no goodbye when we walked out. No goodbye from the lady at the podium too. I would not like to be at a restaurant that doesn't welcome new customers and only favours their regulars only. Not returning for sure.

Yelp
Casa Victoria is another pricier dim sum restaurant, but well worth it (in my opinion). Luckily, I was here with my mom, which compelled me to be more cost-conscious while ordering (which means I try to stick to S or M items). I also had the sense to make a reservation, so we didn't have to wait long for a seat. I reluctantly ordered the super jumbo har gow dumpling to take home for my boyfriend. I say reluctant because har gow here is an XL item, and costs a whopping $6.90. It was the most expensive item of my meal. The dumplings themselves were certainly not jumbo in size, but I guess the shrimp inside was. I ate a piece, and it was tasty, but not worth $6.90 in my opinion. In contrast, my order of rice noodle rolls in XO sauce was way larger in portion, and it was actually cheaper than the har gow ($6.50). The XO sauce was delectable! Deep fried taro dumpling- a thin layer of mashed taro encasing rich, meaty filling- was another small item, to my delight. It was another excellent execution. Deep fried meat and chives bud dumpling- an absolute delight! I loved the combination of the sweet, chewy dough and savoury pork filling. The deep fried dumpling skin, made from sticky rice, was particularly tasty. BBQ Pork buns- these were delicious! The bun was light and fluffy, and the filling was hearty and sweet. I think these buns converted me into liking char siu bao. For my sweet tooth, I ordered milk pie with papaya, and they were just so darn delicious! These mini delights were topped with a crumbly eggy sugar dough, similar to the top layer of Chinese pineapple buns. The milk filling was a creamy complement to the pastry. I loved everything I ordered, especially the BBQ buns and dessert! I would certainly come back for more!

Yelp
This place has good quality dim sum that uses more higher end ingredients than other dim sum places. I believe this place is associated with Casa Imperial on Warden - as the dishes are similar. There usually isn't a wait on the weekends if you come before 10:30am. They don't do the set prices before 11a.m. here. All dim sum range from $4 to $10 - depending on what you order. This place is on the pricer side when it comes to other dim sum places but you can taste the quality. One dish that is my favourite is the fried bean curd roll, wrapped in rice noodles. You don't see this dish often and Casa Victoria does this dish very well. Other notables includes the glutinous rice pouch wrapped in a leaf, the preserved egg congee and the siu mai. The service isn't as great as Casa Imperial but you can't really expect a lot from Chinese Places. For a group of 5 - we spent approx. $80 for about 13 dishes so this place is pricer than most.

Yelp
The food was decent but definitely pricier than most dim sum restaurants. The Luncheon Meat & Zucchini Dumpling with Preserved Vegetable was a unique dim sum and hence the reason I picked it. It was interesting with luncheon meat and zucchini as filling but wasn't too spectacular otherwise. The Braised Chicken Wing & Chestnut also stood out to me since it's not something I've seen on other dim sum menus. Although the braised chicken wings were very tender and juicy, it didn't taste of chestnut at all. There were just two chestnuts and some chopped up mushrooms.

Yelp
Went with a large group for dim sum on a weekday. They accommodated a slightly larger number than reserved easily enough. We had a huge table and a significant amount of food - about 30 items. Service was better than your usual dim sum and the usual items like har gau and siu mai on the plump and steamy side. Favourites included the cha siu pastries and ham siu gok. Convenient location in a big plaza with lots of parking at Warden and 7.
