We were able to easily get reservations on the day of. The crowd was a mix of people of in their 20s, families, couples, and seniors. We were promptly seated as soon as we walked in! Overall, the service was average. The kitchen made a mistake with our order and our starter came out after our mains. The server was kind and apologetic and made up for the mistake with complimentary limoncello. Rating for each dish in the picture caption. Overall, I think this restaurant is a good one-time spot for pasta. Their cocktails are great and I do want to try their pizzas next time.

Google
Great outdoor dining on Clark. Was not very busy on a Sunday at 5pm. Great service. My eggplant Parmigiano kindof got lost in the batter. The spaghetti noodles were very good. Bread before dinner was tasty. Overall a nice dinner

Google
This is actually my second time coming here. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. It’s not too upscale but not too casual either. The white wine was delicious & the bottle was affordable as well. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana and my partner ordered the steak. In our opinion the steak wasn’t worth the price but to each their own. The staff was incredible and made us feel welcomed. Their eggplant parmigiana is top tier and that’s why I came back!

Stumbled upon this spot and was pleasantly surprised! Beautiful interior and a nice patio area too, kind staff, and really flavorful food! We tried the carbonara and prosciutto crudo and burrata pizza and both were delicious! The portions seemed very reasonable for the prices and the quality was really nice.

Google
Amazing food! You have got to try this place! Don’t hesitate! My 5 friends and I got a reservation for dinner. When we got there, they told us they were running behind so we waited and waited.. but then they gave us a patio table, even though the reservation was for indoor because outdoor tables had been booked. So we were pleasantly surprised. (One constructive criticism note: the waiting area was outside of the restaurant, wherever possible, but it should be designated, because we were in the way of the servers, who had to transport all food and drinks form indoor to outdoor through the same area, which seemed inconvenient for them) But let’s get back to the food! It was just amazing! Every single one of us was very happy with the taste! If a vegan quinoa bowl can be delicious, that’s the place you want to go back to! Of course, all other dishes were out of this world too! Dessert … oh yes! Check out the photos! Cocktails were a bit too strong though. All in all, yes, sign me up for a membership! 😋

Google
We had the reservation but were leading to a table by storage room and can see lots of gas tanks, while many tables are available in the prettier room. The host gave an attitude when I asked for a switch. Cocktail is good but food is just ok. The attitude of the host just doesn’t deserve the $100. Won’t visit ever again.

Happy early birthday to my mother in law. We went shopping at the New Balance store and then out for dinner. The staff was great with helping us surprise her with a special sweet treat. Thanks guys!!

Google
The parking was easy, ambience stunningly gorgeous, the staff was super friendly - Nancy was very attentive and sweet. I went for the vegan food per @plantbasedtamika recommendation and had the truffle mushroom pizza, which was delightful; greatly flavored. The drink was yummy, though I did add a dash of cranberry for a little more holiday spirit. Very festive, welcoming and warm. I will be back. I love being able to make reservations as well; though, I wish there was better direction on how to enter the restaurant - I was slightly confused by the signage.

Yelp
I made a reservation here for dinner one night and I'm glad that I did. Casati's was flexible and able to push our reservation back 15 minutes so that my boyfriend and I could walk to dinner and enjoy the weather. Our hostess and server were both friendly and attentive. The pinsina starter was amazing and unlike anything I have ever had. It had a nice kick to it and was served fresh and hot. We each got a pasta dish - Scott's Cappallacci (Lobster Ravioli) and the Gnocchi Cacio di Pepe. Both were delicious! For dessert, we split the Ciocolatissimo. It was incredible and the gelato that was served with it was wonderful. I also had some Pinot Grigio and took advantage of the check-in offer on Yelp for a free Limoncello. Casati's is a beautiful location and has a lot of space and outdoor dining options. It makes a great date night and can also be a spot to stop and grab a drink at the bar.

Yelp
Some restaurants rely on location alone. Casatis does not. The fried spaghetti(arancini) was a surprising fun take on spaghetti. That was followed by the fresh calamari lightly breaded for you to taste that excellent squid on a bed of arugula that enhances the flavor profile as an offset. Presentation here is top-notch, the plates are beautifully presented. The gnocchi imported from Italy is the best I've ever had, soft, creamy, melts in your mouth The short rib ravioli is the distillation of the essence of beef reduction executed to perfection bathing your ravioli. I suggest you bite just the aldente pasta first to experience the pure bliss this sauce brings forth. The meat is almost secondary. We had the panna cotta dessert made in house. Excellent not too sweet. Above all else our experience here was highlighted by Stefano the host/owner who clearly cares about their execution and his guest experiences. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I ordered the Melanzane alla Parmigiana, Arancini, Truffle Fries with a side of Aioli, and a Panna Cotta. Casati's is a wonderful Italian restaurant with a great interior that makes it perfect for intimate meals. The dishes were all very balanced and delicious as well, with the melanzane alla parmigiana being my favorite. The panna cotta was a cool creamy finish to the meal, although i do wish it was colder in terms of temperature. The arancini does come with a meat sauce but i do like that it's plated with a clear separation from the parmesan sauce, which is the sauce I stuck with. The service is pretty decent as well but can be slow. I would recommend for a calm romantic or lowkey dinner!

Yelp
Hello All Had the pleasure of going here for a holiday party Met the owner Stephan and his staff great people. Food Drink Atmosphere All perfect. Will come back for sure

Yelp
We made a last minute plan with friends on a Friday and were craving Italian food, and this place had reservations! It is also kid/family-friendly. The ambiance is modern and relaxing, and the lit up trees were lovely. Matt served us, and I highly recommend him! It took a while for food to come out which was understandable since there was a wedding party happening at the same time. Matt took the time to update us which was appreciated! If you're vegetarian or vegan I highly recommend calling in advance so that they can accommodate you. Most menu items have meat. The lobster ravioli was a bit on the salty side, and the portion was small. Otherwise each piece was stuffed with a generous amount of lobster, and the shrimp added a nice flavor to the sauce. I absolutely loved the margherita pizza which is apparently one of the healthiest pizzas in Chicago?! The crust was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. There wasn't a crazy amount of cheese but just enough for a satisfying bite. I ate every last bit of it--definitely one of the better pizzas I've had!

Nicki C.

Yelp
Stopped in during restaurant week and this was a great deal! Food was fresh and packed a lot of flavor, I loved the carpaccio and gnocchi! The restaurant is very spacious and would love to visit in the summer with all their outdoor seating. One thing was service was kind of slow. We sat on the bar side and it seemed like the bartender was servicing tables and making drinks, although it was too busy, but it took a long time to order food or get food to us. We ordered a pizza but that was never entered, which is fine, guess we'll try that next time!

Nat T.

Yelp
Friendly staff. Not too loud. Food was sometimes good sometimes a case of quantity over quality. In the former category the spicy spaghetti, the herbs with the bread, the Giudiaca fried artichokes. All EXCELLENT. In the not so good category: the gnocchi was either overcooked or simply not very fresh. Adding insult to injury, there was a lot of it. The sauce it was in wasn't emulsified well. Was a little lumpy. The Forest for the Trees was the best cocktail. The Italian Job was sweeter than one might think. We will skip that one the next time. If the sever wasn't so friendly it would have been a 2.5 star review at best.

Liz M.

Yelp
Casatis was only ok! I went here with my best friend for dinner. We were running late and they were very flexible which I really appreciate. The food was fine. No complaints really just not particularly special. The beet salad and Brussels sprouts were our favorites. The gf pasta was only ok, the steak was fine, the potatoes were kind of odd. They could use a rethink on how they're seasoning to up the special-ness of their dishes. It's definitely very home style, but it doesn't feel particularly modern or special. Service was mixed for us. Our server was nice. Three times when things were brought to our table we weren't given silverware. Like, no forks or knives when a steak arrived, no spoons for gelato. And it took awhile to get those. Every time, the same very attentive busser brought us those things, he was fabulous, but he was definitely having to go above and beyond to make up for some of his teammates. The decor here is also very odd. The aesthetic is confusing and disjointed and could really use a fresh review. If someone invited me here I'm sure I'd return but I wouldn't go out of my way again.

Yelp
It probably wouldn't be ethical to tell you not to come here before zoo lights? Because if you all start coming, my secret zoo trick isn't going to be so secret anymore. What a terrific dinner we had with a group of 8 people. We were looking for something last minute before Zoo lights and this place still had reservations available just hours before for this big group. Nice large space with ample seating. Service was super enjoyable with our waiter spending some time just chit chatting. He even invented some mocktails for us that were fantastic. I got the short ribs and devoured the plate. I'd get it again but am eager to try more on the menu. Only qualms were that things took a little longer than usual. But whatever, it was a fun place just to linger. I'm sure we'll return.

Kayla K.

Yelp
The food here is excellent, I loved everything I had. From the drink to the entree everything was great. The service was also great, our waiter was very knowledgeable and attentive. The restaurant is very nice, I was luckily here on a day I could enjoy the balcony. The only thing I will say is that the restaurant is on the more expensive side. However the portions, service, and daily deals they offer make up for it.

Bianca R.

Yelp
Wow!! Talk about a great way to celebrate your birthday with friends!! Amazing drinks, food and dessert!! I made a reservation for 8 through open table. We all enjoyed apps, entrees, drinks and dessert! I highly recommend the brussels and tiramisu! Would server was great! Came to check on us an appropriate amount of times! Can't wait to be back!!

Meagan S.

Yelp
A fantastic spot for delicious vegan Italian food! The flavors were hearty, tasty, and fresh. I highly recommend the Vegan Melanzane Fritte--it was quite good! The broccolini was a little underdone and still crunchy and tough to chew, and the dish was a little too oily with much of the oil left on the plate after enjoying the food. The eggplant was also a little soggy, but the flavor was there, and the tomato sauce was the perfect balance between acidic and sweet. A little heavy on the vegan cheese, but it was still delish! The portion sizes were good, but they could have been larger for the price you're paying. The service was 50/50--the food runners were fantastic and very attentive, but our wait service was very slow. We did wait about 50 minutes to order on a Tuesday night, and she never once checked on us, and when we got the check, she took our card and came back with the booklet but forgot to run the card, which was strange, so we had to wait for it to be run again. Overall, the flavors and ambiance made for a pleasant experience!

Yelp
The first time I ever came to Casati's (many years ago), I tried the pizza and was not impressed. However, I've been back a few times in the last year and totally changed my opinion! The food is pricey, but it's really high quality. We've had fantastic charcuterie, bread with truffle, pasta, and cocktails. The bar at Casati's is a well-kept secret, but better than any other bars on this stretch of Clark to sit and have a cocktail.

Sadie W.

Yelp
One of my favorite go to Italian spots. I always like the pulled pork raviolis and I recently tried one of their pizzas which was perfect to split as an appetizer. Service is always great and 1/2 off wine on Mondays is a plus!

Vandana M.

Yelp
Make reservations, this place gets very busy on weekends. They have tons of vegan and vegetarian options on the menu which is rare for Italian restaurants.

Heather R.

Yelp
Food: 4/5, Atmosphere: 5/5 *Vegan Menu* As it stands, this is the best vegan Italian food I've found in Chicago. The vegan spicy spaghetti is absolutely amazing, i just requested it to be extra spicy. The vegan pinsa is also very delicious! The vegan gnocchi was okay but i wasn't a fan of the texture. The service was great and the restaurant is beautiful. I definitely recommend checking it out!

Marissa P.

Yelp
Very unique venue! A lot of different types of designs and display/fixtures to look at. Very fun top pop/ party music, friendly servers and really great Italian food! Pasta carbonara was amazing - enough pasta to take home leftovers and be full, great amount of pieces of pancetta and overall so creamy and delicious. I tried my fiancés Lamb Risotto was incredible! Very flavorful and cooked perfectly. He was still hungry afterward as the portion was mid sized. Adriatic Peach cocktail was very pretty and good but very sweet. Overall a very fun dinner - was perfect size for our party of 6. Definitely think this is a great place for large groups. If you check in you get a free limoncello!* may change.

Brynn P.

Yelp
A nice restaurant in Lincoln Park to go with friends or company. The food and drinks were pretty good. Most parties enjoyed their meals and drinks. The service was fine at best. Server seemed disinterested throughout the night. Made the experience seem a bit too over priced. Will try again though!

Yelp
Our friends love Casati's, and we've had both positive and negative experiences there in both food and service. Overall - the good outweighs the bad. Had I written my review before our most recent trip there - I would have commented on the pork tenderloin medallion meal that was mediocre. I didn't ask about the preparation - and was surprised that the delicious, tender pork medallions had been pounded thin, breaded and then fried until they were almost dry. Disappointed in that entree - and pleased to see that it was off the menu when we returned a few months later. Our most recent visit was with a group of four adults and one 18 month old. As the adults enjoyed some of Casati's signature cocktails and the arancini meatball appetizer, the 18 month old settled for chicken fingers and fries. Our entrees were the Pappardelle Ragu, Carbonara, Beef short ribs with butternut squash, and lamb with kale and pearled couscous. The Ragu and Carbonara are consistently good - the pasta is done just right and the sauces are flavorful. I've enjoyed the short rib ravioli before and was very pleased with the short ribs with squash. The meat was tender and the sauce was just right - not too thin and the taste complemented the beef instead of overwhelming it. Rick enjoyed the lamb - declaring the gravy to be delicious. I took his word for it since I'm not a big fan of lamb. I did taste his couscous however - nice flavor and presentation. One thing I will say about Casati's - we seem to have a different server each time we are there. Three times, this has detracted from our experience instead of enhancing it. Most recently, our server was inattentive - not checking in to see if we needed more drinks or if our meals were satisfactory. We had to hunt for her to ask about getting the asparagus side dish that we ordered, as it did not come out with the entrees.

Anna R.

Yelp
Went here twice because it was sooo good! The second dinner was even better than the first. We had the vegan pinza with truffle paste and it was unbelievable! The cheese was gooey and delicious and the truffle flavor was prominent, the sun dried tomatoes added a sweet and salty twist. We ate the entire thing when we had expected to save a few pieces because it was too good! We split a gnocchi entree and it was even more delicious than I remembered! The sun dried tomatoes added into the tomato sauce really enhance the flavor and the vegan cheese is on point. We had great service from Alejandro and look forward to visiting on our next trip to Chicago.

Yelp
Food? Great! Ambience? So pretty! Service? A bummer :( From the moment me & my friends walked into Casati's & ordered the bottomless mimoas, our server was not happy. I mean, I get it. Bottomless mimosa groups can be a lot but we had to walk on eggshells with our server because she was always in such a bad mood. We didn't make a scene or anything & ordered a good amount of food but every time she came over it was a total buzzkill. At one point I thought her eyes were going be stuck to the ceiling because she was rolling them so much. While she may have been having a bad day or weekend, it was apparent she did not want to be there. On my trips to the restroom I noticed our server & the other employees huddled at the bar & I gatta tell ya, it seriously felt like they were talking about us. Very akward. It wasn't too busy on a Sunday & the bottomless mimosas had a 2 hour time limit so that's how long we stayed. We ordered their flatbreads which I truly recommend! Me & my group of friends hop around Chicago looking for bottomless mimosa eateries. Loved the decor inside & see they have outdoor seating (which is probably super nice in the spring & summer time) but we may pass on Casati's in the future but glad we tried it.

Ash B.

Yelp
SO GOOD! their vegan gnocchi was amAzing! They also have a vegan chocolate cake which was like an brownie and it was amazing too. It came with sorbet & my friend who isnt vegan loved it too. Their wine was good as well as the vegan bread. They had a lot of vegan options which was great. The restaurant was super cute too

J F.

Yelp
Food was good but very overpriced for the quality and quantity of food they give you. Had the Short Rib Ravioli and Gnocchi Al 4 Formaggj. Restaurant has a nice elegant atmosphere for a date night but expected more with the price we paid. Probably should have tried the pizza.

Sue L.

Yelp
Located near the Clark Street bus on Fullerton, this restaurant has indoor and outdoor dining options. Yesterday there was dinner special with a fashion show outside. Without drinks, the tickets were about $40. Nieman Marcus and other designers were showcasing their beautiful designs. There were many fashion designs for thin and young models but luckily there were a few designs for the average woman. I especially liked the hot pink and pastel looking pant suits, the retro 1950s poofy top and pants, the leather moto jacket outfit, and the gold formal gala dress. The dining options included a buffet of pizzas, pastas, cheeses, chicken, and salad. Dessert included colorful cupcakes. I didn't see a sign for valet. Staff were not wearing masks and covid vaccinations were not required.

Christina K.

Yelp
I've been here a few times now and never been disappointed. The staff is welcoming and the inside is so cozy with a fireplace in winter months. The huge patio in summer seats many and is nicely lit. I've had a few different Pinot Grigio, all very good. The paperdelle ragu is probably my favorite pasta - hadn't had it in awhile and decided I needed to get it for delivery last night. Casati's also can deliver alcohol too, so I ordered some wine as well. Definitely a great neighborhood Italian place. Great for dates, family time or anyone ready to have a yummy Italian meal!

Jessica G.

Yelp
Perfect date night spot! My partner and I decided to give this spot a try this past Friday night. We did not have a reservation and walked in at about 7:30pm. It looked to be fully booked but they were able to seat us right away. We had a wonderful server, I wish I remembered his name to give credit where it's due! We started with the brussel sprouts and they were full of flavor and perfectly crispy. My partner was between two dishes and our server recommended the Pappardelle Ragu and it did not disappoint. I ordered the Clam Linguine and everything was so fresh and pleasantly light for a pasta dish! We finished our meal off with a slice of their canola cake and it was divine. Very light and airy! My partner asked if he could buy a whole cake Great experience and would definitely recommend for a date night or a nice evening out. On top of the excellent meal and service, the atmosphere and ambiance is so beautiful!

Christina H.

Yelp
I don't always eat pasta but when I do, you know it has to be the best of the best. I came here on Sunday night and absolutely loved the Christmas decor on the inside. We started off with the meatballs which were super tender and juicy- presentation could've been a little better but that's ok. The pastas were so delicious; very hearty and cooked well. The Ragu was my favorite. The carbonara needed a bit more cheesy and salt flavor in my opinion. Service was good too.

Andre W.

Yelp
A friend of mine visited this place for her recent birthday and was very impressed so she decided we should come here and try it. I remember it being a place called The Standard when I lived a couple of blocks away some years ago. This looks like a more than worthy replacement as the last place was just ok lol! It was nice out so we opted to sit outside and on that Thursday they had a musician playing out there...even better! My friend had corresponded with the owner and they offered her some prosecco on her next trip and here we are so rain down those bubbles on us. They gave us a round and it was good! It was negroni week so we knew we needed to transition over and the good thing is that they had a negroni flight offering for $20...hell yeah!! There was a choice of 3 out of 4 options and I went with the classic, myrtle negroni and noce negroni. All fantastic but the Myrtle was the one! Try it if you stop by! Of course we were gonna take in the food as she raved about it to me. Everything is shareable so we decided on an arancini at first as an appetizer which was delicious! We then went with the papparadelle ragu, corn crusted chilean sea bass and Scott's cappallacci (lobster ravioli). All 3 dishes were great but the Papparadelle ragu was special! Ribbon pasta, parmesan fondue and tuscan meat ragu made for a great dish...would definitely eat that again on the next trip! Dining neighbors had pizza and it looked and smelled good. Our server Isabella definitely was awesome and took the best care of us! Im sure the other servers are great but I want her every time I return. After dinner, we decided to get another round of bubbles and sit by the fire pits near the young lady musician. Very sexy scene and we took full advantage of it. This place is definitely a gem and deserves to be frequented by me often.

Kaleigh W.

Yelp
Casati's is delicious. The most enjoyable parts of the restaurant for me are the views and all its greenery, as well as the menu with its diverse options for those with dietary restrictions. 10/10

Yelp
I'm going to start this recap of our experience by mentioning that the food we got wasn't bad. No complaints in that department. The experience as a whole though got us wondering why we decided to stay. We had planned to go to a pizzeria just a few blocks down, but the wait was nearly an hour. We walked to another spot, but the door (despite saying they were open) was not in fact open. We turned and saw this place so we decided why not. The moment we walked in, the hostess had a stank face. This was Sunday the 14th. We should've taken that as a sign to walk out the door, but we were hungry so we stayed. The first thing she said was that if we wanted to eat out front the minimum was $150. That wasn't happening since we had dinner reservations where we were going to have a menu tasting. We were seated out back instead. Shortly thereafter she came back with forms that we were apparently required to sign. We thought that was odd, but we filled it out. The moment Denys dropped off our water, I noticed that the pizzeria across the street was in fact open. I told my friends we should bounce, but I got vetoed. We shared the arancini and truffle caprese pinsa. A testament to us not loving both things were the leftovers on both plates. My friends weren't fans of the arancini. There was something different in there that they didn't care for. The flatbread was my fave since I'm a sucker for truffle. By the way, the hostess did not say one word to us on our way out. Literally every other establishment that we went to the whole weekend we were in the city someone said bye to us with a thank you for visiting on our way out. Girl, I don't know who hurt you, but your vibe was all the way off. You represent the front of the house. Be better.

Aries T.

Yelp
Came here for lunch with the parents and they don't mince words Scott's cappallacci - Dad: "I think I like the lobster pasta at Olive Garden better". #yikes The ravioli was really thick and mushy - felt slightly undercooked in some places - and the lobster flavor in the filling was almost indiscernible. It was like a soggy chicken nugget equivalent of lobster Avocado prosciutto toast - not bad but it's 2 tiny pieces of white bread with some half heartedly slabbed on avocado and 2 pieces of prosciutto. And the salad that came with was really greasy. Not sure if it's olive oil or grease from the potatoes seeping into everything else Branzino sea bass - personal preference but I think branzino is best served grilled with a bit of lemon or light citrusy juice to bring out the flavor of the fish but in this case it was smothered in sauce that tasted the same as the shrimp risotto it comes with, and probably the same as the one used on my dad's lobster ravioli? Electrolyte boost (cocktail) - this was my favorite item; really creamy and tasty and just enough alcohol to get a light buzz without feeling like a degenerate

Carrie L.

Yelp
I went for my 28th birthday dinner with friends over the summer. It has such a great vibe for both indoor and outdoor settings. The food was good but not amazing. They had a live performer as well which really was the cherry on top of my dinner. Portions were great, and service was fast

Joy L.

Yelp
Such fun decors during the holiday season! Decent appetizers, clam linguine was mediocre; the clams were quite small and sauce was good, but generic. Short rib was flavorful!

Shelby B.

Yelp
Make sure to make reservations because this place can get pretty busy in the evenings! We did restaurant week + short rib ravioli. My favorite was the short rib ravioli! Overall, such great value and service for restaurant week!

jim m.

Yelp
We always love Casati's. Their pizza and pasta are the best. This time around we couldn't help but notice that the cocktails were a bit watery. (Owner did comp us one drink.) Just sayin'. People will know.

Vivian H.

Yelp
We came here for a restaurant week for a 10 people at 6:30 PM. It took an hour for us to have our order taken and then another hour for our appetizers to come out. We had a reservation, but additional two tops and tables smaller than our party were served first and they were in and out the door before we even got our salads. The manager apologized to us, but it took over three hours for us. We had to get our desserts boxed because we had another event to get to after three hours of us sitting there. I thought that it was not fair for us to have to pay for the full restaurant week deal when we had to get our desserts boxed. I called the manager the next day and a male answered, and he mentioned he would speak to the general manager and get back to me in a couple days. I called back a week later because he had not gotten back to me and the general manager, what is the most rude I've ever experienced in my life. The experience was so unpleasant, and I hope you never have to cross paths with the general manager. I understand that restaurant week is very busy, but if you don't have the ability to fulfill a 10 person reservation, then you should not take a 10 person reservation.

Yelp
The food here was ok, not worth the price personally especially considering the quantity. The vegan risotto was very bland and the bread appetizer was just ok, definitely could not taste the jalapeños in the dip. Non-vegan friend had the milanesa and it was nothing special. Our waiter went above and beyond and was super friendly which is why I am rating it 2 stars. We went on a Friday night and it was surprisingly not busy. Wish them best of luck.

Yelp
An authentic Italian oasis on Fullerton, in the heart of Lincoln Park - what a treat!! If you live in the neighborhood or in the condo building that Casati's is located in - wow, how convenient and dangerous. I could see myself coming here for the great food and service, on a weekly basis. The inside dining looks inviting but why not enjoy the weather and dine outside, in the sunken dining area - because Winter is nigh. They're serious about your safety, they took our temperature reading, we signed a waiver and our utensils were enclosed in plastic. Feeling safe yet?? Our server Aaron was very friendly and just a nice person overall, he suggested all of the meals and we enjoyed the lobster and short rib raviolis - those dishes are winners. The 4 pizzas were very good and the sausage was very flavorful. The arugula was hard to eat because it kept sliding off, but that's ok. After eating here, there are so many options to walk off your calories, you can walk East toward the Zoo or West to visit DePaul. Or walk back to your car - it's street parking but not difficult to find a spot at noon.

Yelp
Visited Wednesday to enjoy the free wine tasting and dinner for a girls night out. We were completely impressed with every aspect of the experience. We arrived at 6 and were seated quickly in the bar without a reservation. The bar area was very cute and spacious with lots of floral paintings that created a trendy vibe. Our server (i'm spacing their name but it began with a K and he was great) explained how the tasting worked and gave us time to enjoy learning about the wine with the knowledge wine expert. Our server was patient as we did the tasting and made sure that our appetizer (Classic garlic bread) was on the table and waiting for us when we returned. He made great recommendations for food which came out speedy and well-plated. I had the vegan carbonara and was impressed with the flavor as well as the portion size, especially for the price. Everyone was incredibly pleased with what they ordered. Our server brought us out lemoncello shots to cap off the evening. Overall it was an amazing experience and we cannot wait to come visit soon for brunch!

Yelp
As a Lakeview resident I tend to stay in my neighborhood comfort bubble but decided to give Casati's in Lincoln Park a try due to a deal they had running on TripAdvisor, and boy am I glad I did! Everything was perfect from the food, drink, service and even their COVID-19 precautions. Casati's takes the COVID precautions to a whole new level compared to other restaurants. When you enter they take your temperature with a high tech video screen device, they make you sign a waiver when you sit down indicating you are not having any symptoms (and also so they can contact you if you they have any issues/cases at the restaurant), there is plexiglass between many of the tables, staff was all adhering strictly to mask wearing and the silverware comes individually wrapped. They have tons of seating outdoors or right within the window. From a dining experience I cannot have been more impressed! Every dish we tried was excellent, fresh, and our pastas were even homemade in house (lobster ravioli with shrimp ragu and short rib ravioli). The drinks were on point and delicious (highly recommend the cocktail that contained carrot juice - drawing a blank on the name). Our server and busser/food runner were very attentive, and the server helped us first timers with the menu. The manager even stopped by to make sure everything was good, an old school touch you don't see all the time. Cannot say enough good things about Casati's. Super glad we found this spot and will certainly be back!

Yelp
This was my third time here and I'm not sure how I feel. The first experience was good and the second was great. The third and most recent was absolutely horrible. However, I do have to give the benefit of the doubt. We came here with reservations on New Year's Eve for dinner. It was pretty packed, so I understand that it was busy. We arrived at 9:45pm and ordered all our drinks and food by 9:50pm. Our waiter was nice though, he did nothing wrong. For appetizers we got a calamari dish and a Brussels sprout dish. The calamari was great and tasted good! The Brussels sprouts were so burnt, all I could taste was the char. Everyone else couldn't eat more than a bite of it. We kindly asked our waiter if we could get another order, cooked less, and less burnt. He was nice and gave us another new order. The new one was the same however. After that, we waited over 1.5 hours and nothing came. One and a half hours and nothing! It was 11:30pm, and we put in our order before 10pm. We were so hungry and we had new years plans at 12am. We asked our waiter if our food was being worked on and what the approximate time was, and he replied he was unsure but maybe around 15 minutes. He also told us that our dishes weren't started yet. We were all shocked. We had to leave so we just cancelled our order and left. I was very disappointed because I know how good the food is here! I wanted to try the different pastas and pizzas I haven't tried yet. I'm not sure when I will come back, but I hope they figure out what went wrong. I know it's not the waiter's fault, and I wish that the restaurant can figure out how to prepare the dishes in an orderly manner.

Yelp
Update: owner reached out and he was very nice and took the problem seriously, looking up the order and talking with the employees. I appreciate the effort and even with other reviews can tell that he cares a lot about the business and is open to constructive criticism and actually makes a difference. We went back and met him and he was very nice and service was 100x better and also the weekend vibes were elite!

Yelp
Carbonara is my favorite pasta dish, so when I discovered that Casati's offered it & were granted awards such as "Most Loved" on Doordash, I just HAD to try it! I will note that I ordered takeout and therefore have not dined at the restaurant, so cannot speak for the ambiance or atmosphere. From a comparative standpoint, the price was fair. Then again, competitors who have charged me 25% more money have included 50-100% more pasta. Personally, however, I like paying less and receiving less. I'm looking for a meal for the night, not a meal for the next few nights. The best Carbonara that I've had was at a restaurant in Italy. Casati's dish could've used slightly more cream to match the dish that I had at my favorite Italian restaurant, but honeslty, it was a very close second. The seasoning was perfect and the bacon was fresh and prominent. I was a big fan. I am going to add Casati's to my list of restaurants to try in-person! I recommend trying them out!

Yelp
My wife and I ate here again during our March 2024 visit to Chicago. Again the food was fantastic. My wife had the carbonara which excellent. I had the pappardelle in a meat sauce which I thought was absolutely divine. The sauce was flavorful and there was plenty of meat and sauce. Loved it! We started out with a Caesar Salad which we split. This was also really good and plenty for the two of us. The service was excellent. We asked for a quiet area, and they graciously placed us in a quiet back area. We loved the experience.

Yelp
Amazing place for dinner. Beware a lengthy wait but absolutely worth it. The Bianca pinsa was super tasty, with the truffle shavings being the star of the dish. Scott's cappallacci was incredible. Wasn't really sure what to expect from lobster ravioli with a shrimp ragout but it was to die for. Not pictured are the amazing crispy brussel sprouts or the grilled octopus but they kicked off an unbelievable meal. The mini puff pastries were so so so SO good. You cannot miss out -- the mascarpone and Nutella create such a wonderful balance that I still think about from time to time.

Yelp
I love Casati's. The food is marvelous, they also offer a vegan menu so you can go with a diverse group of family/friends and the owner is super friendly and seems to genuinely care. I heard they are closing and genuinely hope they open in a new location.

Yelp
I had my bridal shower here and cannot recommend this place enough. It is absolutely perfect for a large brunch/dinner party. If my wedding was in Chicago, I would have had our rehearsal dinner here as well. It is already decorated perfectly, so there isn't a need for any extra decorations. This was the only place that didn't have an absurd service charge and no room rental fee making it super affordable. It was so easy to work with the owner on planning and the restaurant did all of the work. Everyone LOVED the food. We come here all the time on date nights. Servers are super friendly. Best dishes: Brussel Sprouts, Carbonara, Ragu, Short Rib Ravioli, Gnocchi, Truffle mac and cheese, and all of the pizzas.

Yelp
I liked the food and the experience here. We sat outside in the fall and the waitress was super friendly. We got the Scott's cappallaci and short rib ravioli and the brasato short rib pizza. All were good! All had good flavor, I think the ravioli was our favorite of the pastas. This place is worth a try! Especially when you can sit outside in the summer!
