We had the fungi pizza as an app which was phenomenal. The romana salad was also very good, just needed a bit more dressing. I loved my duroc pork chop. My wife got lobster tortellini, which was also tasty, just making lacking salt a bit. Had vibes of a good seafood chowder. Get the cannolis for desert, so good. Overall great experience, would definitely come back for some pizza. What a fun addition to downtown Sioux Falls.

Google
Truly impressed. …down to the drinks, food, and atmosphere, …EVERYTHING was absolutely PERFECT. Sarah is easily one of the best servers we have ever had…. If you haven't yet, give this place a try. So WORTH IT. Will definitely be back.

We went for my mom’s birthday and it was an amazing experience. Our server was so helpful and we took all of her suggestions! I would definitely recommend going here. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was quiet (we did go at 530 pm) and relaxing.

We sat on the patio which was very pretty. The wine selection is decent. I think they should steam their wine glasses and make them crystal clear. My glass has water spots and looked cloudy. It’s the little things sometimes. Our server went over the menu with us as it was our first time which was appreciated. He was attentive and overall a very good server. I ordered the 6oz steak. I can remember complaining about a steak twice in my life and once was in Wisconsin. This was the worst steak I’ve ever had. After having my fiance taste it, he thought it was some what edible but old and definitely shouldn’t be $45 dollars. It also didn’t come with any sides for that price which usually doesn’t bother me if the steak is good. It was definitely dry, over done and an old cut of meat. I ordered it medium rare and it was still a little over done for my liking (not the chefs fault). In restaurant standards the fillet was cooked perfectly but the taste and texture made me gag. I had two bites and gave the rest to my fiance. Manager and server both wanted to make up for it but at this point I was just over the experience and wanted the check. We originally came there for pasta but they had three pasta options. The dinner menu is bleak. My fiance had their pork chop which he said was pretty good. It was a little bit on the dry side but he still liked the flavor. I won’t write the place off just yet. Their breakfast and lunch menu look bomb so hoping to try those menus soon. Be back for those results.

Google
Delicious food and even better service. Our waiter was very good however the General Manager, Sean, made the experience even better. Very knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations. I’ll definitely be back!

We went to dinner for our anniversary. Our sever Mike was awesome. We were the only customers outside, and I was a little worried the service would suffer. Was I wrong. Mike spent time talking about the area and the menu. He made some great suggestions, and he made sure we had a pitcher of ice water so we would not run dry. He stopped by several times to make sure we were doing well. Both dishes, the walleye and risotto, were great. We are not locals but highly recommend Cascata!! Thanks for a great experience!!

Google
Great drinks, food, and atmosphere. Highly recommend the Duroc Pork Chop and the Lemon cheesecake!

Servers are great, food is bad. Attached is a video of This is their extremely dry “creamy Cajun past”. Someone please show me the creamy part 😭

Yelp
Food was fantastic! Our server, Malachi did a fantastic job explaining the menu and he was very attentive! Excellent service from everyone!

Yelp
Beautiful Italian restaurant located within Canopy hotel. We loved the ambient and the staff were friendly! We were here on a Saturday for their brunch menu. The portion of the dishes were very generous, we had tried steak & egg and their pasta dish, it was amazing. We also enjoyed some cocktails here, the old fashioned was on point and the presentation was simple yet beautiful. If you're in the steel district area, I would recommend walking through their artsy hotel lobby and enjoy the food/drink this restaurant has to offer.

Yelp
OK...not great. Our server Mike was very knowledgeable, but seemed unable to see we needed more drinks. Our group had the following walleye-flavorless and asparagus was over cooked pork chop-nice glaze and flavor but overcooked halibut-reported good Caprese salad-good lobster tortellini- OK risotto- excellent desserts very good For some reason at 7:00 the music was turned up and was difficult to carry on a conversation. Our group felt it put a damper on the evening. I probably will not come back

Yelp
The interior of the restaurant was lovely but that's not why you go out to eat. For an Italian restaurant it didn't have much in the way of Italian cuisine or ambiance. My husband's risotto was dry. My Lychee drink had no Lychee, and frankly it was very bitter. I ordered the halibut and while it was cooked well and flaky it was equally tasteless. I know I make it sound like the food was bad It wasn't It was fine but it wasn't what we paid for. The food was not of the caliber that the restaurant suggested that it would be. Staff was charming and very attentive but I was disappointed that our waiter didn't notice I didn't drink my cocktail. If he had offered me something else perhaps I'd have had a better attitude about everything overall. But he let the full drink sit there through the entire meal, dropped the check and never said a word. Some places are a one and done. My husband and I eat out quite often and this is not a place that we would choose to come back to. In their defense, it could be that they're still relatively new and trying to find their feet. Maybe if someone else goes and has a really great experience and posts it I will reconsider in the future. But for now, with so many wonderful places to eat in Sioux Falls, I just don't see the need.

Yelp
They have a great location, and nice interior/patio. My party ordered the Caprese app/salad. It looked good, but was below average. It went downhill from there. Ordered spicy pepperoni pizza. Very large, but looked odd. It was super greasy with grease filled pepperoni cups. See attached picture. It was not good. The other item ordered was the spaghetti and meatballs. Looked decent. Sauce, meatballs had zero flavor. Was starving so got 1/4 of it down. Very disappointed with this meal, and will not return with the MANY other options downtown.

Yelp
The service was impeccable. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and familiar with everything the restaurant had to offer. The setting is modern and casual. A location where someone in nice shorts or jeans wouldn't be conspicuous next to someone in a suit. The food was above average but Sioux Falls has better options at a similar price point.

Yelp
New Italian restaurant in Sioux Falls! Friends and I stopped by for dinner plans at Cascata after hearing about their opening. We had reservations and encourage others to reserve. I ordered the short rib pappardelle and it was amazing, a big serving and very filling. The short rib was delicious, meat had a lot of flavor and pasta was cooked al dente. The combination of everything in this dish was 5/5. Fungi Pizza- didn't have truffle oil flavor at all, was it missed? it wasn't our favorite. 2.5/5 My friend that ordered the farmaggio di ravioli carbonara was pleased, she said it was missing a "punch" of flavor but had good consistency. She rated this 4/5. My other friend that ordered the lobster tortelloni mentioned that there was corn inside, which threw off the textures of this pasta. Description mentioned corn sauce however not that it was inside of the tortelloni. The sauce was good. Rating 2/5. Lemon ricotta cheesecake was a 5/5, creamy, delicious and not too sweet. Perfect to share. I'd definitely come back just for a slice of this cheesecake! We didn't order cocktails but I did ask for warm water and a lemon. Service was good. Place feels upscale. There's also a view of the falls but it was too dark at night to see anything. Beautiful restaurant overall. Parking off street is free and there's also free weekend at the ramp in steel district.

Yelp
Holy wow on flavor! It's been a long time since I have experienced flavor like this! Hats off to the chef! Service was excellent, came in on Saturday evening. Love the warmth yet open feel to the dining room. We will be back!

Yelp
Dinner was excellent! The pork chops were so tender and seasoned perfectly!!!! Great service Disappointed in the desserts. Seemed day- old/dry. Definitely would go again - pizza looked awesome. Would not indulge in the dessert.

Yelp
My mother and I went to Cascata for lunch. The views of the river were enjoyable and the restaurant atmosphere was calm and inviting. My mother ordered the Salmon and I had the Chicken Parmesan. Both were excellent! We ordered the tiramisu for dessert to split and that was also amazing. Our waiter was super friendly and helped explain the menu. We will go back again sometime!

Yelp
It's a lovely space with ordinary fare in a convenient downtown location. Especially if you're staying at the Canopy Hotel. View of the river flowing into Falls Park. I've only tried the breakfast... nothing special but edible and you shouldn't leave hungry.

Yelp
Oh my, what a great experience we had at Cascata! The most flavorful pasta I've ever had in the very bland world of Midwest cuisine. We ate at the bar and our bartendress was very friendly and attentive without hovering. The cocktails were top tier in a city known for great mixologists. I had an Nohito and my partner went with a gimlet. Next time your in Sioux Falls and The Steel District, a visit to Cascata is a must.

Yelp
Wonderful atmosphere and attentive service! Our server, Mike, was very knowledgeable not only about the menu, but also about the Steel District. The espresso martini was excellent! Didn't care for Molto Tempo but if you're a big scotch fan you'll enjoy it. The dressing on the insalata di fresca salad was phenomenal! Very refreshing! I specifically came for the Short Rib Pappardelle and it did not disappoint! If I had one recommendation, it would be for complimentary bread and oil/butter to be served. If I could, I would give a 4.5/5 star rating.

Yelp
The food and service were excellent. Our server, Mike gave us some wonderful history about the restaurant, Canopy by Hilton and Sioux Falls in general. I would eat there again. The shrimp and lobster risotto was delicious

Perfect ambiance. Food was amazing perfectly kid friendly and adult friendly too. Service was amazing and the waiter, wine expert, table person, and chef were amazing and nice.

Yelp
We stopped in on a Saturday night. We were surprised to get in quickly , I thought there must have been an event going on (April 12th?) because its always looked too busy before. The atmosphere and feel of the restaurant gave me hopes that this would be my new favorite place. The only thing to destroy that hope would the be service. Thankfully our server Autumn came through with flying colors! Attentive, made suggestions , let us know the expected time to arrive at our table, since it was running a bit behind. The food was excellent. I had a late lunch unfortunately , but I will be back for more The only downfall was that the restrooms are part of the building not the restaurant. I had to run all over to find a restroom. They have a woman's room and a Man/Woman room. So you really have to wait.

Yelp
We went to Cascata to celebrate our daughter's birthday. The four of us had excellent meals and the pork chops were absolutely amazing!! The ambiance was fantastic and our server, Romey did an excellent job of taking care of us during our dinner!

Patricia E.

Yelp
Sara took our order. The timing of the food items was perfect. Salad and short ribs came as we finished the salad. Food tasted great after a long day.

Yelp
My husband and I returned to Cascata for our second time. The food was even better than the first. After a recent visit to Italy we fell in love with Burrata cheese and Cascatas version was amazing. Our dinner was made that much more special due to the excellent service we received by Mike Hench. He was knowledgeable about the menu, the wine choices and even recognized our anniversary with a sweet treat. We will be certain to request him to care for our table at our next visit.

Yelp
The food was average at best. Certainly not worth the $240 we spent for 2 people. The portions are small, so you need to order multiple appetizers. The "HERBED FOCCACIA" is simply a bread board with 3 types of sliced bread (not warm) and olive oil on the side. The same thing you will receive at EVERY other italian restaurant for FREE. The "SHORT RIB PAPPARDELLE" could have been good, but they forgot the Tomato Ragout, so it was just rib meat on noodles. The "CRAB & SHRIMP RISOTTO" was dry and tasteless, I could tell there was crab in there, and the shrimp were good, but no hint of scampi butter or herbs or flavor. The "TORTA DI GRANCHIO" was actually very good, outstanding flavors, but quite small. To call it a "jumbo crab cake" is ridiculous! (it was about 3 small bites per person (2 people). It was cold outside and cold inside, ALL of the customers wore their jackets or sweaters during the meal. The overhead music was some sort of Electronic dance music or modern pop, more suited for a dance club than a high-dollar restaurant. Read the crowd, nearly everyone was over 40. The staff was pleasant and attentive. NO complaints about the people or service. The restaurant interior is well done and comfortable, the main dining area is floor to ceiling windows, so I assume the view will be outstanding in the summer. This place has potential, I hope this management team makes corrections and does not screw it up worse. We will check back in 6 months
