Strictly drive‑thru and family‑run since 1991, this spot turns out Springfield-style staples plus cult favorites like Han’s Chicken. A local fixture that proves quick service and scratch cooking can go hand in hand.

Google
I absolutely love there Cashew Chicken without Oyster Sauce. It's the best cashew chicken ive ever had. I will always continue to go here for it. Wish I could buy it more often it's soo good! Their rice is absolutely perfect with it and the chicken is always tender enough I can cut it with a fork.

Google
I will say this is always one of my fav chinese places. Their crab Rangoon is so soft and flakey, sweet and just well done. They have good fried rice but we tend to get the sweet and sour entrée and it is always so good!

Google
Great value until they screw up. No dine in so if your drive thru order has an issue you have to drive back to prove it. Oh and no receipt given. One time had to drive back overcooked disgusting chicken. 2nd time (summer 2025) their little booth of restaurant had a bug in the food which can be hard to avoid sure but instead of comping a 7 dollar meal theyd rather me return the bug to them or never return again. 5 year customer not returning again

Google
The amount of reviews and almost 5 stars made me ignore the bad reviews. Don't make my mistake. For 2 entrees, 2 drinks, and an app it was $41. The food was really bland it didn't taste bad it just didn't have a taste. This is what I would expect from someone who has never made the food before not a place who sells it daily. We are not from the area we were just hoping to find a good Chinese place as we passed through and this wasn't it. IF you don't believe me or the other reviews do yourself a favor and get a soda that was actually pretty good.

Google
I’ve been going here for 10 years, they haven’t messed up my order once 😊 I always get the Hans Chicken!!! It’s sooooo good!!! Some of you SGF locals might remember Korea House on St Louis street, this is the same recipe - (it’s drive thru only)

Lori

Google
Get a receipt and make sure you are charged the correct amount. Ive been charged the wrong amount. They don’t give receipts unless you ask or has been my experience.

Google
I get their egg rolls. They are made there with fresh vegetables, mostly cabbage. I like them so much I buy 10 of them at a time. I eat two and stick the rest in the freezer for another day. I just heat them in the air fryer. Hot, oily (that’s a GOOD THING) and delicious!

Google
Have been going for years. Always really good food. The portions have gotten smaller throughout the years. They do have my favorite cashew sauce though. I highly recommend this restaurant

Yelp
This place never disappoints. Excellent dishes they put out here every time! And I still always say...for a side item...get the mandu!

Yelp
Menu is a little pricey but the delivery was fast food was delicious definitely going there again

Yelp
Had a good assortment of appetizers, soups and entrees. All were very tasty. Order by phone only and drive thru pickup was easy. Food was ready when we arrived.

Yelp
Experienced long wait times in the drive through, and I could understand the person that was speaking to me. Most likely cause the machine was broken. Overall very dissatisfied cause I couldn't get my food and had to leave before they could get it out.

Yelp
Basic springfield chinese food at a great price. Nice option for create your own stir fry combo

Yelp
Been trying to find my go-to Chinese food and a I finally found it. Absolutely delicious and amazing prices. My boyfriend does not even like Chinese food and he had to turn around and get some after trying mine.

Yelp
Springfield style cashew chicken is the best!!! It has a brown gravy. Can't find it anywhere I travel. Back to my college days!!

Yelp
My wife really wanted to stop in. I guess this place was a weekly tradition with her parents. They have lots of selections for types of meat with your meal; including liver and gizzards! I played it safe and got chicken with my general sauce. My wife got the orange chicken, and both of us subbed for crab rangoon. The crab rangoon was really good, and the orange chicken not bad! The general chicken wasn't too bad, but definitely favored the side of "garlic which I was told it didn't." The only big complaint I have was portion size. For the price we got like 6 small bite sized pieces of chicken.

Yelp
Their stir fry is delicious. They have all kinds of different styles to choose from. You can add chicken, shrimp, or beef. I usually get chicken and shrimp with mine, and I make it extra spicy There's bean sprouts and veggies in the mongolian stir fry also. You will not be disappointed! Their fried dumplings with the sauce is amazing! It looks like a tiny place, but they turn out some scrumptious food and they are fairly cheap on their prices.

Yelp
Stopped by on our way back from Branson. Ate lunch on their carryout patio. It was the perfect rest stop for us! Great selections & great price!

Yelp
Decided to try this for some Chinese food... I got the Stir Fry with Chicken and veggies. The noddles and chicken tasted very bland and not much flavor at all. They do provide different sauces in packets like soy sauce and duck sauce that you can use.. it helped give the noodles some flavor. One thing that was delicious and good was the teriyaki chicken appetizers, I recommend driving here just for those.

Yelp
This is one of those don't judge a book by its cover places. They turn out some pretty awesome food. The ho fan is spot on and the spicy chicken dish is Fantastic if you like SGF style cashew chicken this is one of my top 5 places in town. As a heads up this is a drive through only dining establishment.

Yelp
Best crab rangoon I've ever had! I LOVE crab rangoons and I have never had any as delicious as Cashew Stations. The outside is not as hard or thick as most places. Everything else is pretty good as well. They have a drive thru and a walk up window. If you're not looking to wait I would walk up to the window. Prices are lower than a lot of other places as well. They're menu is a little more refined than most chinese restaurants though.

Jane M.

Yelp
Old school cashew chicken in the clamshell styrofoam box is my favorite. One of the few places that still has dark meat chicken and gives you a fortune cookie. Hope they stay around for years to come!

Robert C.

Yelp
Excellent for a good tasting quick meal great flavor on their menu and moderately priced

Yelp
I grew up in southern Missouri and lived/worked around Springfield for years ... so when I hit town to visit family a couple of years ago, cashew chicken was much on my mind. It's hard to find outside of that area and I crave it about once a month My brother and I went driving around -- we've both been away long enough to not really know Springfield well any more -- and Cashew Station was the first place we saw where we could obviously get the good stuff. Four things: 1) The food is GOOD. It's as good as any cashew chicken I've had anywhere. Not too gloppy, just crispy fried chicken with cashews, green onions and the right amount of oyster sauce to bring out the flavors (I haven't tried the other main dishes). 2) The food is CHEAP. For about five bucks a person (we were ordering for a large family group) we got hefty servings of cashew chicken with fried rice and wonton or egg roll (IIRC, there was a choice). The crab rangoon was decent as well. 3) The food is FAST AND CONVENIENT. This restaurant used to be a Burger Station, one of the first chains in Springfield to have double drive-thrus (driver or passenger side). There was little or not wait to order and only a very short wait for the food. 4) The people are NICE. Service with a smile and a friendly word is always a big plus. I've been back in town twice since then and haven't bothered looking for another place to get cashew chicken. From looking at Yelp, I see some of my old favorites up on the north side are still open, but when I'm in town these days it's generally mostly south of Battlefield, so Cashew Station is both convenient and as good as those others ever were. My brother and I will be visiting our mom again in May and Cashew Station is already on the agenda. Good, good stuff.

Yelp
Right now, the top Springfield-style Cashew Chicken Take Out place there is. Two-sided drive up with Cashew Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken, plus a lot of stir fries and appetizers. Try the large combo that comes with CC or S-n-S, with fried rice, 2 wontons and an eggroll (filled with vegies!) for about $4.50. I have also had their chicken fried rice, and that is very tasty. They make everything fresh when you order, so be prepared to wait a few minutes.

Karin L.

Yelp
I drive 35 minutes to get here and used to love it. I hate to say it - I'm done. I ordered sweet and sour chicken and it had 1 slice of carrot and nothing else. No pineapple - nothing. The egg roll was meh and OMG the two tiny wontons were really greasy and it didn't look like they had any filling. So - I'm outta here. I'm sure there is something better out there. Even a frozen TV dinner would have been better.

Bill M.

Yelp
Average cashew chicken. Fresh and hot, but favor of sauce a little heavy and consistency too thick. Had two cashews in the dish

Maya T.

Yelp
Their fried rice is not good. It's just burnt tasting rice with large pieces of egg in it. Also didn't know the spring rolls would have pork inside (my mistake) but did not look safe to eat and smelled strange.

Kiley T.

Yelp
BEST CHINESE IN SPRINGFIELD. So satisfied with the food and service. My husband and I will keep this at the top of our list for Chinese Food in Springfield.

Lynnlee H.

Yelp
The best cashew chicken in the world. The sauce and chicken is superior to any other Chinese I've had in Springfield. If you haven't had it, you are missing out. The crab Rangoon are sinfully amazing too.

Yelp
First time I tried the place I got the General Chicken. it was the worst General Tso's sauce I think I've ever had it tasted like brown gravy. Their hot and sour soup had no ingredients and was all base not a lot of pork, egg, tofu, bamboo shoots, or mushrooms. On the bright side their chicken was very good minus the sauce the rice was fine and the portions were fair for the price. I think they should up their game on a better general sauce I did not try any other.
google avatar

Brenden M.

Yelp
I've tried almost everything on the menu and have never been dissappointed. I eat there probably once a week and least, and I have to say their generals chicken is the best I've had in the area. You can get varying levels of spice, and I always get my sauce on the side so the meat stays crisp longer. Not sure why this place is only a little above 3 stars, it's incredible to say the least.

Yelp
I have been eating here for years. The owner and his wife cook all the food. Their cashew chicken and homemade egg rolls are the best in town. They have picnic tables set up in the back if you want to eat there.
google avatar

Kristen M.

Yelp
I started coming here after they closed the sister restaurant on St Louis street. I love this place. I've only tried a couple of menu items so far but I recommend the Hans Chicken hot with white meat. Amazing. Keeps me coming back.

Tessa C.

Yelp
Everything here is made to order and by hand--No pre-made egg rolls or crab rangoon, only fresh! Plus, it is one of the few places you can get Bao (steamed pork or chicken buns) in Springfield. I consider it to be the best Chinese in town, and the owners are so kind.
google avatar

Stephen K.

Yelp
Very reasonable place. The prices are low. The food quality is totally decent. Boogedy boogedy boogedy boo, is that long enough, Yelp??
google avatar

Local Y.

Yelp
Friendly? No. Appealing? No. Tasty? Yes! Weird little place with two drive-thrus, each with a different menu. If you choose the lane on the right and wanted stir-fry, you're out of luck! Ha! The prices were very fair, and the food was pretty darn good. I actually give it 3.5 stars for what it's worth. :)

Yelp
Cashew chicken is not what I order when I go through this tiny drive through on the south end. I do however order the Hans chicken. Hans is another Americanized Asian influenced dish so popular in Springfield but this one is a keeper. Chunks of deep fried chicken tossed with a spicy chili sauce and peanuts and fresh bean sprouts. This was my all time favorite dish at the recently closed Korea House and I thought Hans was lost forever. I would be happier to have it a touch spicier but heck I just glad to have it in any form. cashew station is also serving a decent steamed bun filled with chicken or bbq pork. At 4 for roughly 4 bucks they are a bargain. Nice people with a great attitude and Hans chicken.. what more can you ask for?
google avatar

James S.

Yelp
Hear me out, for the price this is a great spot. However, all the flavors taste the same. The General and the Sesame are unlike what you would expect at any other Asian restaurant, has a very gravy like flavor, not bad just unexpected. The quantity is pretty solid, the chicken was crispy and right sized. The rice was slightly odd, in that the rice grains seemed smaller than typical rice.....but still a descent quantity.

Brittany M.

Yelp
Always the shit, try it. It's been amazing for over a decade! I usually get cashew chicken and some crab Rangoons. They're always so good. I wish I could clone them and have them in Oklahoma.
google avatar

Jeremy W.

Yelp
I wish I could say something positive about at least one thing I ordered. The cashew chicken was a disappointment. Not much flavor and a bit gloopy. That means its old. Judging by the color and taste, it's just chicken stock and corn starch. Where's the oyster sauce and Worcestershire? The rice had an odd taste I can't identify. The egg roll was the greasiest thing I've ever drank. That was a slight exaggeration, but it was REALLY greasy! I don't think the crab rangoon had any crab or imitation crab for that matter. I tore one open and couldn't find any. All I tasted was cream cheese. The wonton was, well, a wonton. Nothing special here. Just the teeny tiny piece of meat with a lot of shell. What's the point? If you want the original recipe of cashew chicken, visit Leong's Asian Diner. The family that owns this place is the family that invented cashew chicken. Or you can waste your money and never know what good food tastes like. They say ignorance is bliss. Sorry to be so negative, but I'm tired of restaurants serving terrible food. Please people, educate yourselves on what good food is. If we have standards, restaurants won't get away with serving low quality food.

Yelp
I absolutely love Cashew Stations General Chicken ! You can order it extra spicy but be warned, they make it extra spicy ! The chicken pieces are crunchy and sauced right at the end so the chicken doesn't get soggy. I love their egg rolls too, I always eat the egg roll in the car because the smell is too tempting to resist. I love the combo low mein too, you get a generous portion and it is always yummy ! I have never had a meal here I did not enjoy. It is a bit of a drive for us, we live on the other side of town, but it is well worth it !
google avatar

Malyn M.

Yelp
Best lemon chicken in this town. The fried rice is cheap and not flavorful though. Skip that and just get steamed white rice. Refrigerate it and make your own fried rice. Egg rolls are heavy on cabbage. My son loves the tender fried gizzards.

Wyatt B.

Yelp
Got the general chicken, tasted like y'all poured straight vinegar on the chicken. Never again. Rise was dry, crab Rangoon was stale and too sweet.. go next door instead.
google avatar

Mounish P.

Yelp
Yea it's a dual drive thru but that's all. Asked for spicy cashew and guess what not spicy but at least it was fresh. Another date with good old Siracha
google avatar

Sheila R.

Yelp
Best cashew chicken and egg rolls in Springfield, only down side is I wish they had a dining room.

Henry A.

Yelp
This is the worst Chinese I have ever had! My rice had a long hair in it ! The general chicken doesn't taste like anything! And honestly will probably never go back

Luke H.

Yelp
This place will surprise you! The food is great and very original! Grabbing quick Chinese food doesn't get any better than this. Drive through and you're good to go! Taste of everything is great, plus they have a lot of different and great real Chinese foods to try. Good prices too, love it.

Jeremy N.

Yelp
place has really gone downhill they now use scoop and serve method I ordered cashew chicken and I was annoyed when it was instantly done the chicken was so old it cracked like chewing up cartledge rice wasn't set in a fridge 24 hrs prior too using thus making the rice a ball of slim run far away Springfield !!!!!

Keith S.

Yelp
My wife and I love their egg drop soup. Well worth the trip. I have tried many of their items on the menu and give 5 stars to all of them.
