The 14 Best Restaurants At Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"A marble countertop bar, a kitchen window to watch as chefs prep your food, and menu options like fig and ricotta toast and port-marinated lamb shank almost make us forget we’re at the airport when we eat at Cat Cora’s—although the carry-on suitcases in between tables provide a helpful reminder. Hit this contemporary American food spot when your flight has been delayed because service doesn’t exactly reach supersonic speeds. Google
I rarely post reviews about airport restaurants, because let’s be honest they’re normally not very worthy of a review. (I have done a few because they were so bad) Needless to say, I stop in at Cat’s Cora Kitchen because I was recently blessed with a long long lay over. I was pleasantly surprise with the upbeat atmosphere and the great choice of music!🎶 (Not typical of an airport restaurant) The menu was packed with a variety of choices from the burger, salads, and pasta to plenty of alcohol to choose from. I ordered the Cobb Salad with salmon (ha, real surprise there) and it was delicious! The work staff there had a fun team spirit that was refreshing. If you find yourself in the Atlanta airport, (across from Concourse A26) I recommend a stop!

Google
Amazing. Can’t believe this is an airport restaurant. Service was great; food was great; and the employees actually seem happy to work here, happy to work together, and happy to serve every customer. Not just great for an airport restaurant, but needed at every restaurant. It was a pleasure to spend my layover with this crew.

Google
We were greeted by an amazing hostess, Winsome who provided a warm greeting and checked in on us throughout our dining experience. Assata, was our sever and she was attentive to the details of our order and added to the personable dining experience. The management staff made their rounds of which allowed us to provide feedback while dining. Yes, this was a restaurant at the airport and to top it off the Executive Chef inquired of meal modifications to ensure that all parties were satisfied. I plan to have a layover on my next trip to dine with Winsome, Assata and Marion while at the Atlanta Airport.

Google
You do get what you pay for. In this case for just slightly more than fast food we got great food. Standard restaurant service times and great personable servers. Ordered the potato chips with blue cheese and airline chicken and both were excellent. Perhaps the best food of our 11-day vacation on a layover on our way home. A little off center of the A terminal, and worth the walk if you have the time.

Google
i had the absolute pleasure of having Jasmine D as my server during my layover. from the moment she approached she was exceptionally kind, funny and helpful! she definitely went above and beyond with her service, and the food topped it all off! i chose the egg white omelet and the blood orange mimosa- amazingggg! thank you again, Jasmine D, for giving me such a wonderful experience!

Micah Abalos

Google
Jasmine was an amazing server and took care of me the whole time. Truly showed me southern hospitality and made my experience amazing for a tired traveler. The food was amazing for airport food and I will absolutely come back for this place again. Probably one of the best meals I’ve had in my trip and that’s saying something!

Google
Cat Cora’s was so fun. The staff was so awesome. Shout outs to Ms. Ana and Ms. Natalie they made me feel at home. Foodd was great, music was better, and atmosphere was awesome. Would definitely recommend if youre among the A gates!

Google
Jasmine in Atlanta took perfect care of me today. I told her I needed to eat in 30 minutes and you were switching between breakfast and lunch. She recommended the tomato soup with the grilled cheese and it was perfect and came right out to me and I’m very happy. I’m going to post pictures of my lunch to my Instagram page @drinkwinelearn. I am a WSET certified Somalia and I’m enjoying La Crema Rose with this lunch, it will be posted to my Insta page.

Yelp
10/10 this was the best place I could've stopped at before my flight back to MD. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the tables were clean and shined like a polished car. Now onto the food, the Crab Mac n Cheese was the best I've ever had as a native marylander (that chef knocked it outta the park) and not to mention the Iced Tea all wonderfully delicious and tasty. Definitely stopping here if Im ever in Atlanta's Airport again. And since my Aunt and Uncle live hrre,,,,I'll be back

Yelp
Sat at bar, Shay tended to me. Friendly, efficient & good feedback/food suggestions. Sweet potato fries- good, not fried hard enough- were super soft. But the flavor was delicious including the garlic aioli. Fig & ricotta toast- good flavor balance. I wish the bread was toasted more. Was very soft, I would have appreciated a little char and crunch to offset the soft ingredients. Wine- pinot noir, I dont remember which one but it was good! Overall, I would stop in again. Space feels tight compared to some other bars and restaurants in the airport but they have good service and solid food.

Yelp
Usually when you think of airport food you think simple and fast with a hint of grease. Cat Cora's is not that. Everything I ordered tasted incredibly fresh and had tremendous amounts of flavor. Like all airport restaurants, the space wasn't too big but it didn't feel cramped and the servers were incredibly friendly. Now, the food. I had the lamb meatballs and crab Mac and cheese. I didn't expect to find such elevated dishes at an airport but I'm glad I did. The lamb was incredible and cooked perfectly. The Mac and cheese was full of crab and so cheesy. I can't remember the name of my dessert but it was incredible. Like a chocolate soufflé topped with cream and some berries.

Yelp
Just had drinks before our departure. Good pours. Pricy like you would expect at the airport Food looked good. Service was better than expected. Friendly bartender, handling it all.

Yelp
Hd it in the airport delicious in Atlanta. Good bread toast w figs. Also good drinks and they have coffee also Tap beer also!
google avatar

Lara F.

Yelp
Important information - if you're there on a Sunday, they can't serve alcohol before 11am. Which was fine by me. I just wanted something simple while I waited an hour. I got a diet pepsi and the yogurt which was so very good. Loved the drizzle of honey that pulled everything together. Service was great. I loved that Kristen (I hope that was her name) sang along (so very very well) with the music. Time flew by far too quickly.

Yelp
Turning a blind eye to the fact that airport prices definitely apply, I actually thought this was a great spot. The menu is a good size - not overwhelming but options for all preferences. Other people's food looked good from what I was able to see. There are a decent number of outlets along the walls and at the bar. I opted for the burger ($22) and added cheese ($3). I got a side salad alongside it. The only fries are sweet potato fries oddly which I wasn't in the mood for. The side salad was fine although the dressing was weirdly sweet? I did like that it had hard boiled eggs on it for some additional protein. The burger was fantastic. It definitely wasn't cooked medium rare as requested (probably medium to medium-well) but it certainly didn't suffer for it. Really tasty and juicy and the bun was deliciously toasted. Like honestly a fantastic burger. Service was fine and I did enjoy getting called pet names lol southern hospitality will never cease to make me giggle and kick my feet. Would go back.

Yelp
Amazing restaurant at the airport! Cold beeerrrr! Great toast with fig and olive oil and jelly yumm good service busy airport spot and great menu.
google avatar

Monica D.

Yelp
After a delay in my flight, I really wanted a drink and a bite to eat. I got a wonderful red wine which my server was very kind to tell me about and allow me to taste first. It was a very nice pour for the price but I'm from NYC so everything is cheaper, lol. I was not looking for anything big to eat so I ordered the lamb meatballs and they were absolutely delicious, very moist and well seasoned.

Yelp
Had a stop in Atlanta and came by with my sister only for a drink. We sat immediately because they have many bar chairs available that are great for single people or two people. Staff was nice and answered our questions. We had a beer. It was served promptly and very cold. Ambiance was nice. Love the bright light and white colors. Beer was $10 which is the cheapest there.
google avatar

Jerushia W.

Yelp
I ordered the avocado Cobb salad with chicken. Which was amazing, the only draw backs in my opinion is the dressing. The turkey bacon is amazing. It's in house and the flavor doesn't pair well with the blue cheese and peppers. That Ambiance was nice even though it's an airport. The service was ok. The young lady that's was waiting on me was polite and timely. However when I asked the other 2 ladies a question they walked away no response or interaction. I think they thought I was going to complain.

Yelp
On our way to Miami for the Thanksgiving Holiday, and we stop within the airport, at the little spot. Fancy name, good service and nice atmosphere. The food was marginal at best. I ordered a burger well done, it was great and the mixed green salad was bland. My wife ordered some potato chip dish which was horrible. Wife said it tasted like pure grease. There were other options on the menu but no time to try them. So for this visit I can only give them a C.

Johnny B.

Yelp
Airport food. Bartender and Manager were friendly and attentive but I paid over $50 for 2 beers and overcooked Mac and cheese that I ate about a 3rd of. Do yourself a favor and go to one flew south in concourse E

Yelp
Inside the Atlanta airport, near gate A25 is this gem of a restaurant. From the moment I approached the host stand I was greeted with a big smile by a friendly server who seated me on the spot. I ordered coffee, a fruit bowl and the egg white omelet and everything was extremely tasty. I especially loved that the fruit was fresh and delicious, which seems rare at most restaurants. My server Malcolm was so attentive which was impressive given the large number of tables he had. He was quick to refill my coffee which was greatly needed given my travel day began at 3:45 am. I will be back to Cat Cora's the next time I'm in the ATL airport. Thanks Malcolm for brightening my day, I appreciate you!

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised! The reviews were all over the place but since my colleagues and I were flying out of CONCOURSE A, we decided to try it for lunch. We thought it was beautiful looking food and tasted great except for the Quinoa had no flavor. Be prepared, it took a little while to get our food after we ordered and it's a little pricey for what we got, but of course it's in the airport so that's expected. Enjoyable atmosphere and the server was nice.

Chris S.

Yelp
Above and beyond service! I was cutting it close with my flight and had to run before the food came out. The waitress asked for my name and gate. I never thought they'd actually get the food to me on the plane! Next thing I know the delta gate rep is walking the to go bag to my seat on the plane! Food was great too!

Yelp
good airport food! grilled cheese with caramelized onions and spicy tomato soup at 10am? count me in! kind and quick service :)
google avatar

Stacey S.

Yelp
The food was good and the service even better! I had a few hour layover and I couldn't think of a cooler place to sit and snack and have a few cocktails. Oh and the music was on point!
google avatar

Lara P.

Yelp
The friendliest staff and delicious food! I ordered the cobb salad and added shrimp - it was just the right amount of food and had very fresh ingredients (spring mix, cherry tomatoes, grilled avocado, blue cheese, small pieces of fresh bacon, sun dried tomatoes, boiled egg). The dressing, while light in appearance, was also the perfect amount and did not overwhelm the salad. And the staff was so nice! I wasn't paying attention and started following the hostess as she sat the guy in front of me in line and then SHE apologized for the confusion. She caused no confusion, I was just foggy after a day of travel. My waitress was also very delightful and attentive. If you're passing through this terminal in ATL, I highly recommend grabbing a bite here!
google avatar

Yelp
Located on Concourse A, Cat Cora's is a reliable sit-down breakfast spot. It is always busy and the wait staff are friendly and quick. We usually enjoy scrambled eggs, crispy regular bacon, fried potatoes, and toast. The ambiance is standard and is a smallish space. We have never had to wait.
google avatar

Kylie C.

Yelp
Being located in the Airport, I didn't find this too terribly expensive. It certainly is a high volume restaurant and they manage very well! Sherica was very professional, timely, and welcoming. The ambiance is what can be expected at a busy airport without feeling crowded. I had the spicy tomato soup with a very delicious grilled cheese sandwich with caramelized onions and bacon. Perfect soup to sandwich size ratio. I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Eva H.

Yelp
You could do far worse than here for dining in the airport. It gets packed, but they turn tables frequently. The staff are also nice. I had the cobb salad. I loathe bleu cheese (I didn't notice it on the menu) so it wasn't my favorite, but it was a fresh well prepared salad. There were plenty of other appetizing looking dishes going out, as well. It was a tad pricey I guess, but not really considering that it's actual food that doesn't make you feel gross...in an airport.
google avatar

Yelp
We had a 2 hour layover at the Atlanta Airport. Came for a drink but ordered appetizers. The first bite of the Mac was soo good, I immediately tasted the crab, it tasted fresh and not imitation. Very cheesy. Our server Aisiah was super nice and attentive. The music playing was a great touch, I could tell it kept the servers motivated. They were singing and serving. Fun and upbeat. Give them a try if you're ever in concourse A
google avatar

Yelp
Flights were a bit delayed on my layover through Atlanta and my co-worker and I stumbled across Cat Cora's Kitchen. The restaurant was crowded, but we were able to find 2 bar chairs hidden around the corner. The bar was well lit with pendant lighting, and had plenty of gleaming surfaces. The bartender greeted us and told us she would be with us in just a few moments. After a bit, she was still pouring drinks and asked us to give her a few. As we had a slight delay, we weren't in much of a rush, so it wasn't a big problem. The great part was when she came over, she said, "Sorry about the delay but I want to make sure I have you my full and undivided attention." That was amazing, I wish I had got the young lady's name. Her entire demeanor showed she was completely focused on as at that moment and wanted to provide a high level of service. We each asked for drinks only and dadgum, did she make them good and strong. Of course, Delta chose that moment to decide they wanted to board our flight, so we had to chug and run, but this was an overall great experience. If I'm ever on a layover in ATL again, I'll make sure to come here.
google avatar

Mona M.

Yelp
Thoroughly enjoyed the spicy tomato soup with grilled cheese. The toast was crispy, the cheese was a blend of stretchy goodness. Would have loved to have more caramelized onions on the sandwich. Good choice if you're in a rush. The table spacing is pretty cramped for folks traveling with suitcases. Only thing concerning was I saw a few fruit flies. The staff was friendly. The manager took better care of me than the server...she even filled my water bottle.
google avatar

Carl D.

Yelp
I loved watching Cat Cora on Food Network so I was excited to try her restaurant in ATL. Very disappointed. Sorry. First, the food item I got was NOT as advertised. The menu called them "flank steak tacos," but I swear the meat was pot roast, which I loathe. Not even CLOSE to flank steak, which I LOVE. Hot sauce and a mound of slaw were the only things that kept them edible. Second, the prices. I know airports are high but $22 for three tacos and $14.50:for a glass of wine that retails at less than that PER BOTTLE was excessive. Third, the bartenders did little more than sling drinks. No conversation with the guests, though plenty among themselves. It's right on the concourse so it's hardly quiet, but that's to be expected. It could be that her other dishes.. and other servers... are fine, but it's really hard to get past a bad first experience.

Yelp
Read reviews that suggested it was worth taking the tram to detour to Term A to eat here ... if you have ample time, definitely give it a shot! Bar service was friendly and on-point, and food was delicious (lamb meatballs & hummus plate). Downside? Food took far too long to arrive considering what I ordered and bar does get cramped with luggage/bags. Enjoy!
google avatar

Micah D.

Yelp
This is a great spot to have a nice sit down meal before your flight or on a layover while in the ATL airport. It is located across from gate A26. There are about 15 low-top tables to sit at and there is also a bar area to grab a drink at (or eat at the bar if you'd like). There are 8 or so TVs in the space, so Cat Cora's is also a great place to go if there's a game on. I got the Norwegian Salmon dish ($32) that comes on a hearty bed of quinoa and asparagus, then topped with a lemony-mustard vinaigrette. It had a nice presentation and came out hot. I almost forgot I was in an airport! The service was fast and friendly. The staff kept the areas clean and turned over tables in a timely manner. Your meal here may not be the cheapest in the airport, but if you want to enjoy a healthy option with comfortable seating in Terminal A, this is the place!
google avatar

Laura L.

Yelp
Great server, great drinks, & wonderful appetizers! Nice place to stop for a layover, lol!!!!

Sal L.

Yelp
Had a layover for 1 hr. 45min at ATL. Visited Cat Cora's in Terminal A by gate 26. which has (suspicious) good reviews, which were actually true! Cora's was shockingly good. I had the spicy tomato soup which came with a very good grilled cheese sandwich with onions in it. It was excellent. And well under $20. A couple of people next to me had salads that looked very good too, both of them huge. The other entrées were quite pricey, but I'm sure they were very good as well. The only disappointment was $10 for a draft Yeungling beer but of course this is an airport. This may be the best airport food I've ever had with the possible exception of the Mexican restaurant at San Jose in California.
google avatar

Adam H.

Yelp
Menu is top notch. And the kitchen delivers the goods! Shae and Jess are a team that will take care of you with a smile and prompt service. Terminal A in the ATL Hartsfield Jackson airport.
google avatar

Labiba S.

Yelp
Stopped by this restaurant that's located in ATL airport while I was in the airport during my layover. I stopped in at 10:30am and the place was seated with people at different tables and at the bar. I was seated at a hi-top table and ordered the spicy tomato soup with grilled cheese. The tomato soup was incredibly flavorful and the grilled cheese was really crispy, so dipping the grilled cheese in the soup was a delicious combo. The one issue I had was that I was only halfway through eating my sandwich when the waitress came by to give me the check. By that time, I had only eaten for about 20 minutes and, the restaurant was mostly empty. It was a little off-putting to be given the check when I was still clearly eating my food, did not spend much time in the restaurant, and the restaurant didn't have to worry about seating others because there was no line and plenty of seating available. Not sure if giving patrons their check while they're still working on their food is common practice at this restaurant, but it caused me to feel rushed to finish my food and get out of there. So overall, food was great, but service could have been better.
google avatar

Ron G.

Yelp
The food was amazing. Crab Mac and cheese for me! The host was awesome and my waitress Asiash was very friendly. Even Salem who served my drinks was so friendly! It's a typical airport restaurant except the taste is much better. All of the restaurants in an airport should take note! I fly into Atlanta quite a bit so I'll be back.

Yelp
We had lunch while at Hartsfield Jackson Airport in Atlanta. Restaurant is in the A concourse near gate A 25. Food was excellent my wife had the Cobb Salad with Chicken and loved it. As expected more than enough to eat. My wife liked that the Chicken was freshly cooked and then added to the salad. I had the Cat Burger with freshly made Potato Chips, tomato and arugula. Burger was perfect fresh off the grill hot and very juicy. Best burger I have had in a while. Well worth the trip glad we stopped in will hold us over till we land and have dinner later tonight. Nice to eat in a restaurant that understands getting food to the table quickly and hot. Our waitress was, Mwelewa and she was so sweet and professional glad we sat in her section. Keep up the great work.

K W.

Yelp
Restaurant was clean and service was lovely. Eggs had so much butter / oil I couldn't eat it. Not getting on a plane after that.... Lol
google avatar

Schuyler S.

Yelp
My server, Reese, was amazing! She was down to earth, kind, prompt and she gave a recommendation that was absolutely delicious! She recommended a few additional adds (egg & avacado) to the fig toast and it was seriously good! The chef did an amazing job at creating it with the right proportions and perfect flavor combo and the egg/avo that Reese said to add put it over the top! 10/10! The vibe was super chill in the resteraunt as well, every employee i came into contact with were super kind and helpful and omg the music was on point! I believe the manager even stopped to greet me! Everyone looked so happy to work there (meaning they have a great manager and team), the food was bomb, and ambiance was incredible!
google avatar

Steve P.

Yelp
Good food, good service, cold beer. The staff here does not treat you like typical airport venues, very personable and accommodating!! Good stop if you're passing through Atlanta airport.
google avatar

James A.

Yelp
The food was great but the staff were definitely what made the experience. In a world where kindness seems to be in short supply, they had an abundance of it. Will seek this place out the next time I'm traveling through ATL.

Annie B.

Yelp
Assistant General Manager Alisa went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and welcome after a long rainy day at Atlanta airport. She accommodated me and my new knee by helping me get a seat and even asked a few customers to move just a bit so a chair fit. Alisa is a real professional and I appreciate her!
google avatar

Lucy M.

Yelp
We had a 2 hour layover in ATL and we decided to give this place a try. Truthfully, we were looking for a spot to grab a quick drink and app, unfortunately, it was 10:15 am and only breakfast was being served. This restaurant is super small and compact. I ordered the egg white scramble which comes with potatoes, toast, and your choice of chicken or pork sausage. I wasn't interested in the potatoes or toast. Can you figure out what's wrong with my meal?
google avatar

Yelp
Here today for lunch/dinner. Our party of four had crab Mac n cheese, cheeseburgers with sweet potato fries and penn pasta... Our server, Frey, (I thought it was Missa, but brother insisted it was Frey) was awesome. I had to ask to change my dish, the crab Mac n cheese for something else, because it was too salty for my taste. Frey, was so nice she did or hesitate to change my order... thank you. The hamburger was spot on! Everything else, was delicious. Thanks for the good eats...
google avatar

Laurence R.

Yelp
What a great find next to my departure gate. The Crab Mac and Cheese was awesome. The service at the bar was fantastic ask for Kim & Jax. If you are ever at Terminal A stop by and grab a bite.
google avatar

Ashley P.

Yelp
Mikayla is an absolute gem. I told her I had five minutes to spare before my flight and she was able to accommodate me in such a short time frame. Not sure who the owner is but please do a big favor and keep her. I was so please with my service!
google avatar

Joshua D.

Yelp
This is a restaurant in an airport so you can only expect the service to go so far. My burger came out and my wife's salad came out 20 minutes later. That being said, the food we did receive was delicious. I would love to visit this restaurant outside of an airport setting.
google avatar

Mike C.

Yelp
Good food for an airport restaurant. Airport chicken was very good but the pene was a bit lacking. Service was good and informative. A decent choice for a Sunday afternoon.
google avatar

Yelpe R.

Yelp
Cat Cora, come clean this one. Food sits way too long at the pass, fruit flies everywhere, and music at such a volume one can't think. Your bartender was wonderful. The manager and host were allergic to work. Love you and your food, but maybe you don't want this restaurant at the airport anymore? ATL airport is crazy, but this restaurant doesn't have to be.

Shea S.

Yelp
This was the most magnificent airport meal I have ever had! And such a decent price! The airline chicken was full of flavor and filling and healthy! The staff were so kind and quick and amazing! I can't express enough how much I loved my meal here!
google avatar

Olushala J.

Yelp
Service was awful! Want to start your trip off poorly stop here! Tried to give it another shot but this place ruins my morning EVERY SINGLE TIME! Service is awful at the bar! Not sure if anywhere else is much better. And I HATE writing reviews. Now I'm that person. (Honorable mention DeElla and Asia). Oh and I saw 2 servers both put their bare hands on a patrons food after handling trash and money and serve it up like it was hot and fresh.
google avatar

Rainbow L.

Yelp
The shrimp & grits were delicious. The best I've had but this is also my second time trying grits. It was nice smooth and cheesy. Shrimps were cooked perfectly too.
