Catanzaro's Pizzeria Cranston

Had a large Pie great size good price great taste. Perfect crust/crunch. Great ratio of sauce too cheeze the Bruschetta was really good too.i recommend stopping in here if you want some great tasteing food. Carol was a great Server I Highly recommend her.

A five-star restaurant review deserves looking at the food, the service, the atmosphere and of course the hospitality. Catanzaro's delivers on all of these. We have enjoyed our visits here again and again. We like different... and today, the rabe with sausage delivered... equally followed by a pizza with olives, hot peppers and artichokes. Try Catanzaro's. The food, service and wonderful staff (Carolyn and Alex) will win your heart and, for sure, your repeat visits!

1st time here and it was exactly what everyone made it out to be...amazing!! Friendly service, the taste of our pizza was off the charts! Ordered a large pizza and it should be considered a giant lol. Definitely a return customer now and forever!

Been hearing great things about this place, so decided to give it a try. They have been in business here for 14 years and have a non stop take out business that tells you they are doing things right. The pizza was very good, with extremely generous portions of toppings and everyone working there seems very focused on you being satisfied. For me, their red sauce was overly sweet and I prefer my toppings on top of the cheese so they can get direct heat, especially the pepperoni, love it when it’s charred, no char here. Lastly the dough for me was somewhat more dense and compact vs light and airy especially for the grandma square pan style that it is. As a side note, I didn’t like the pizza being placed in what amounts to a plastic cafeteria tray, anything else would be preferable. That said, I am in the minority as this place has an amazing fan base and I love to see people as dedicated as they are to their craft. We need more family businesses like Catanzaro’s.

Just started a 3% charge for credit cards. Pretty good pizza but watch out... The large is huge! I could hardly fit into my car! Expect that it will make at least 6 meals. The pizza is above average, the tomato sauce is a bit spicy for my taste but that is a personal thing. The pepperoni was tasty but not too hot and there was plenty of cheese. The crust was one of the thickest I have had here in RI at about 1/4" thick. Nice and tasty unlike those that are paper thin and tasteless.

Great place to dine in or just take out some pizza! Always delicious and have been going here for years! Very busy on the weekends so make sure you get your order in early or be prepared to wait but it's always worth the wait! Get quality and quantity for the price!

This place is one of the best Italian places I've been to. The food is delicious. Service is amazing. It's beautiful there too. So good that I actually have to write a formal review unlike I usually do. Truely amazing food.

Tried something a little different from the normal circle pizza. They make square pizza. Called ahead and placed an order for pick up. Took a little longer than quoted. The lady at the front desk was super sweet and apologetic for the wait time. Ordered a small for two people. Was more than enough. Picked up a Pepperoni Pizza Square. The sauce had a nice tangy flavor. The pepperoni’s were delicious and a well top off. Had a nice bar area, will definitely give it a try and have in house.

While visiting from the free state of Florida, the colonel was hankering for the greatest pizza in the world. When visiting, the colonel always eats Catanzaro's pizza. Is it better than sex? No. But it's up there!!! Catanzaro's pizza in Cranston gets the Colonel Ingus messy face of happiness award! May you forever stay in business!

Super busy place and it is one of, if not the best in pizza in Cranston. Thick tasty dough, cooked just enough to give it a crunch without a burn. The pizza sauce is amazing, they use all fresh ingredients. If you want your pepperoni to curl ask for it on top of the cheese. All sizes are rectangular pizzas. The spinach pies are really good! Take one home for later if you can't fit in.

Another great meal here at Catanzaro's. It was a week night, so we were able to sit instead of having take out. The take out, even during the week, was just as incredible as on the weekends! It was a broccoli rabe, prosciutto and fresh mozzarella sandwich for me. The rabe and prosciutto were very good, but it was deli mozzarella in the sandwich instead of fresh. Not sure why, and not sure why I didn't ask!! My husband had a pizza with caramelized onions all to himself. He loved it! Really, you can't go wrong here if you can get near the place! (The parking lot is rather small and tight.)

Great pies great calzones and salads the antipasto is huge. Place is really nice inside and family run which is awesome. Everyone that works there really cares. Only negative thing about catanzaros is no delivery but I will say it's worth picking up. Pizzas are big and on the thicker side, very tasty.

Cozy Family owned and managed business. This is the true meaning of Italian pizza place but has great sandwiches as well. A nice small bar inside with great mixed drinks. Great seating and super service. The pizza here is thick and crunchy on the bottom. The toppings are fresh and tasty. The salads come in a wonderful bread bowl. The spinach pies are also very good. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. It is a very popular place that is small with limited parking but you can always get it "to go". Tip: Garlic Parm Wings are awesome, please order them! Always stop at Cat's when we are around the area. This place is a win, always smells amazing. Thanks

My steak and cheese sandwich was very tasty. The service is slow but almost every restaurant has slow service so I shouldn't be surprised there. The scenery is kinda crappy not going to lie. There is a big piece of wood right next to the glass door and I don't think anyone wants to look at that. Overall this place could have done a much better job.

Party of 4 Friday 4-24-2024. Walk in, no reservations, got lucky and grabbed a table. I'd say a majority of their business is take-out, but they do have a small dining area and bar. There was a steady line of customers picking up pizzas and takeout while we were there. Started with an Antipasto and a few drinks. The sangria is delicious. The pizza? Spectacular! Square pizza, thick buttery crust, crispy / cheesy outside edge. Delicious. In my top 5 of best pizzas I've had. Excellent service, cool vibe, we'll definitely be back soon.

Stopped in the other day with a friend and we sat at the bar for lunch. Nice cozy little bar with a fantastic server. I wanted to try their meatballs so I ordered a couple, absolutely loved them. Ended up taking my sandwich home which was also excellent! Before that I have only had the pizza there and never tried anything else because I loved the pizza so much! Now, I'll have to branch out and try more items on the menu!

This has got to be the best thick crust pizza in all of RI. We always ask for it to be well done. The crust is crispy and crunchy but not excessively heavy. The sauce has a nice tang to it, the cheese is delicious. Adding sausage and mushroom just adds to the overall flavor. The photo is 1/2 of the pizza, a whole is 2 of these. We usually order a salad have 2 pcs each and take the rest home. It freezes well and reheats in the oven and it tastes almost as good when fresh. Carol is always attentive when we choose to eat there, making sure we have what we need. They have a small bar and very limited seating. So if you like a beer, wine, cocktail or other non-alcoholic drinks they are plentiful.

Best grandma style pizza in the state. Elite ingredients, excellent chefs, awesome staff. The owner walks around smiling, because he knows everyone who is eating is happy.

Food is excellent especially chicken parmigiana and the meatballs cocktails-definitely try their sangria. It's sweet but is very, very good. One glass and that was enough for me. Strong! Atmosphere is casual and the service is excellent I will definitely go back !!!!

I was really looking forward to Catanzaro's. The Pizza Lover's RI Facebook page raves about this places so I had high hopes. And I just don't get the appeal. The pizza is ok. The flavor is just meh, there needs to be more cheese and sauce. We ordered 3 different kinds so got a full range. Pepperoni was definitely the best. It's a little expensive but a the price isn't too bad. A medium pizza is a really good size. The interior is cool. An old pizza parlor kind of vibe but the pies just are average. I would honestly say Dave's Marketplace makes a better pizza.

I can only speak for their pizza, as I have not tried anything else. First, in my experience, the customer service has always been fast paced but good. The atmosphere is usually busy, with mostly take out orders. I have only ever ordered the pizza, which is a large Sicilian pie. The crust is the perfect level of crispy to hold the toppings. The sauce is tangy and very flavorful. Pepperoni being my favorite, it has a great ratio of cheese and the little curly pepperoni. Also, it's huge, and one large can feed several hungry teenagers. This pizza can compete against most others in RI and come out on top!

My husband and I have tried many pizza places in RI and we love this one. Everything is just right. Pizza is crispy enough, not too many or too few toppings, not too oily and the small is a perfect size for the two of us. Quick, efficient service. We go in "off" times to avoid the parking craziness. :)

Wow!!! Best pizza I've had in years. I heard about this restaurant from a food critic's post on Facebook. We took a chance and tried it. We ordered a medium Meat Lover's Pizza. It was delicious!!! So many toppings, we couldn't finish the pizza and brought 6 squares home. The waitress did a fantastic job even though she was working solo. She never stop working and kept smiling the whole time. Restaurant ambience is nicely setup for a pizzeria. We got there early, the place was packed by 6pm.

This was once my go to for pizza but sadly it has been inconsistent at best as of late. There are better pies nearby.

The last few times I've gotten pizza here I've been disappointed. It used to be my go to in Cranston but not so much anymore. It's still been good pizza just not as good as I remember it being.

Large Pizzas are huge. Super tasty without being greasy. Perfect for large gatherings. Service is always good here and takeout has reasonable wait times. A staple in Cranston.

I've only had takeout and it was just pizza, but it was so good. It had the perfect ratio of cheese to sauce and the crust was perfectly crisp. Also loved how they had the cupped pepperonis on top. Super good!

My favorite pizza in the whole wide world. Simply yummy. The staff is friendly and will call you by name. These people think I'm high maintenance when I'm asking for no sauce on a small pizza and l a half a scoop on a large pizza Rob the owner is probably the biggest asshole of the all. however Carolyn is just as bad...she calls him over and says she wants lite sauce again. Just looking to have leftovers in my for the weekend so we don't have to cook.. for the bowlers that's in town for the pro tour..

I was formally a "Johnstonite" and now I'm officially a "Cranstonite." On this cold, rainy Sunday night of Memorial Day Weekend my daughter and I agreed to check out Catanzaro's Pizza. The fact that they're literally a mile away was a great thing. I ordered a medium pizza with chicken, bacon, and ricotta. (I would have loved spinach, mushrooms, and sausage but these are the sacrifices we make for our kids). The establishment is small but nice. They even have a liquor license. Brought the pizza home and let's just say I'm glad we chose this place! The pizza was perfectly cooked, the crust is amaze balls, and the toppings are generous. Thank you, Catanzaro's Pizza, you will come to know us as Regulars!

As a person who takes pizza very seriously, I'm pretty comfortable giving Catanzaro's the pizza peel (see what I did there) of approval. The crust is thick, just the right amount of doughy and crispy and the toppings are all fresh and tasty. We ordered like 5 or 6 toppings and the crust had no problem holding it up. That's my kind of crust. The pizza shown is a medium. Easily enough for 4 people. The large is enough for a light infantry regiment.

I visited this place on the recommendation of a friend I work with. She said.... as weird as it may sound you need to try the Caesar Salad Pizza!!! It is AWESOME!!! I called up and made an order. I went with the plain Cesar salad without the chicken this time. It was amazing how the lettuce stays crispy! The crusty was buttery... it was just awesome!! I also grabbed a ready to go slice of pepperoni & cheese because it looked so good (it was)!! Easy to get in and out, lots of parking and very friendly staff, good prices, great food!!! Can't wait to go back!!!

We love Catanzaro's Pizza! Always busy amazing pizza, wings and sandwiches and salads good service. Nice big square Sicilian pizza at its best, and it freezes well! We come from Raynham to go there and love their sangria it's very good no fruit in it but it's not needed so yum! We are bringing some of our friends there soon so excited to go back. I'm kind of glad they are not real close because you know pizza every night wouldn't be right! Try it, you'll love it

Literally our favorite pizza place! We have tried bread sticks, bruschetta, wings and so many pizzas. We weren't huge fans of the wings, but everything else is so good omgggg. They also have daily cal zones that we never realized they had. They are not on the menu, but you can call and ask what ones they have for the day.

Yo. The meatball parm is amazing. The sauce is sweet and a lil spicy which I love, and the portions are great. Excellent place with a full bar and Greta menu and friendly staff. Will try again.

Pizza was very tasty and delicious. Spinach calzone was very light in dough and loads of fresh spinach and so delicious. Service was excellent and I can't wait to return there again. I recommend this place to many of my friends and they all agreed with me that the food and service is amazing.

Closed down. No one answered the phone so thought they were very busy on a Friday night. Drove over and the lights were out and no one was at home.

Saying a place has great pizza in Cranston is no biggie! This place however has really great pizza! Fantastic crisp crust with just enough give and cheese for miles! Great dinners and sauce

Delicious pizza and very filling. Family friendly atmosphere. Bathrooms was nicely decorated and clean. They have a bar as well as dining area.

Best pizza I have ever had. I Love the proscuitto, ricotta, fresh mozzarella pizza and my husband loves fresh mozzarella and pepperoni on his. I have been dozens of times and the pizza is always incredible. We get a large, which is huge because we get several meals out of it. Catanzaro's is the only pizza that tastes better reheated than other pizza parlors to right out of the oven. Love the sangria also.

Pizza and calzones are okay but don't add meat to salads. Ordered grilled chicken on top for an extra three dollars and instead was charged five dollars for the most disgusting breaded chicken. It was thinner than veal and most was inedible. The salad itself was okay.

Pizza is very tasty, however its like swallowing a lead balloon. TOO HEAVY. If you want excellent pizza go to Anthonys Coal Fire in Garden City. Its light in weight and so good. Ninos too in johnston

I feel guilty that it's taken me this long to write a review about Catanzaro's. A couple of years ago, I began my hunt for the best pizza in RI. I searched high, I searched low and behold, I finally stumbled upon Catanzaro's. Catanzaro's has theeeee best pizza around. My go to is the large (which feeds an army) with extra cheese, green peppers, carameliZed onions, and pepperoni. Well done of course. They have a solid variety of toppings on the menu, but I continue to get this. Haven't had their calzones or other sandwiches but my guess would be they're out of this world. Don't get it confused. If you're looking for a New York style pizza, this isn't the place but if you're looking for a medium - thick, crispy crust, you have found the holy grail of pizza. Ugh, my mouth waters even when I think of it. You can dine in or order take out. The service is all around fantastic. MUST MUST MUST TRY. Hands down the best pizza in RI. Don't let any nonsensical review deter you from trying this place! Thank you pizza gods.

We love Catanzaro's! Great pizza crust, toppings and the arugula salad is top notch. Wait times and ease of ordering takeout and delivery have not disappointed. This is our "go to" pizza place for sure!

The pizza is delicious, thicker style crust. The sauce is homemade and flavorful. The antipasto is packed with real Italian meats, cheese and olives. Prices are still reasonable. Be warned, a large pizza is huge, and worth every penny. Plus, their wine biscuits are among the best in the state.
