The 18 Best Restaurants In Asbury Park - Jersey Shore - The Infatuation

"Catbird is a BYOB restaurant and pizzeria in a fully renovated, idyllic location along Deal Lake in Asbury Park. The food might remind you of Medusa, a ghost of Asbury restaurant’s past, and you’ll find stuff like simple seasonal salads with arugula and blueberries, roasted vegetables, and the biggest reason to come: their signature, slightly misshapen, nearly square wood-fired pizzas. We like the use of vegetables on the pies, such as the roasted eggplant with pesto or a spicy sausage and ricotta pie covered in trimmed fennel fronds. The atmosphere is basically an Adirondack cabin, and they have a great outdoor dining area that gives you direct views of aviary life swooping down towards the lake fetching their own dinner. Make sure to finish those crusts before the osprey and eagles do." - michael sinatra

Best Restaurants in Asbury Park: Where to Eat and Drink | Eater NY

"Local favorite chef, Aimee McElroy, formerly of Medusa Stone Fired Kitchen, is back at it, making specialty pies, salads, and sides. Grab a seat on the deck that overlooks Deal Lake or a table in a dining room with glampy cabin vibes. Share a fennel and sausage pizza, or one with meatballs, mushrooms, or roasted eggplant (there are classics available, too). There are options beyond pizza, too. It’s a booze-free spot, with a Mocking Bar of zero-proof or botanical beverages, though you can also BYOB." - Melissa McCart

My fiancé and I popped into Catbird in Boston on Friday so that I could pick out a new permanent bracelet. I chose the Swimming Pool chain and I absolutely love it. The woman who zapped it was very personable and fun to talk to! She was patient and took her time to make sure the length was perfectly matched to my existing bracelet. The store is beautiful with a large selection of jewelry to browse and I always enjoy stopping in!

Riley and Elizabeth were so helpful and fun to work with when getting my permanent bracelet today! They helped me reattach a permanent bracelet that I had to cut off for medical reasons and then assisted me in buying another one. Would recommend coming here and getting help from these girls!

Had an excellent experience with this store, including their associate Maura. I visited a few weeks ago while in Boston to try on a fine jewelry piece my husband would go on to purchase for my birthday. The saleswomen informed me that I received a birthday discount, and they would apply it when I came back in a few weeks. Well, I live in NY so called the Soho location and requested the same discount and to order (an approximate $4.5k) piece and was told it’s not possible and I’d need to do it myself. I called the Boston store and Maura was fantastic - immediately processed my order and despite being quoted a 6-8 week lead time, she worked to get me a piece already made and in struck in another location (all within an hour or two of store closing). Couldn’t be happier and will absolutely make sure I shop at this particular Catbird location going forward. Thanks, Maura!

VERY EXPENSIVE BUT POORLY MADE. Went to the NYC location to get 2 permanent bracelets for my best friends bachelorette party. Spent hundreds of dollars but felt it was ok because they would last for a long while. Not even a month later both of our bracelets had stretched to the point that they were falling off our wrists. We recently went to the Boston location to exchange our “permanent” bracelets for clasped ones and asked for the charms (C&S) ($50 per character) to be separate from the bracelets since they tend to snag in clothing. Finally opened up the bag with our charms and we are completely missing the “C” character. The whole experience with Catbird has been a nightmare and would not recommend anyone spend so much money on things that will easily brake or that you won’t even get what you pay for.

I had a great experience here today getting a permanent bracelet! Everyone was super friendly and the girl who did my bracelet was sweet, patient, and gave great advice on length so that it looked great with the bracelet I already had. She was also extremely thorough with the welding itself. Great experience!

Google
I've been eyeing catbird rings for a while but wasn't sure what size was best or how they would look on my hand. Thanks to Meg for patiently sizing my fingers and pulling out a few of my faves to take a look at and discuss the pros and cons. I'll def be back next time I'm in Boston and my visit made me excited to become a catbird customer!

Google
I’m obsessed!!! Boston location 03/13/25: Permanent jewelry- I went to Catbird after seeing an ad on the book of faces last night. Looking at the website it seemed very reasonably priced so I expected there would be a catch of some sort but there wasn’t! I was helped by a lovely woman named Izzy/Izzie. She was super helpful. We chatted a bit and she was absolutely lovely. Very friendly. She wasn’t just trying to upsell me either. She took the time to advise me on different chains and sizes so I could pick what was best for my lifestyle. I am beyond impressed with the service I recieved. I only planned on getting one bracelet but now I’m definitely going back for another in the future. I got a bracelet with a heart connector. My pre tax total was $196. I had been looking at bracelets on other websites and a similar bracelet with a clasp from elsewhere would be around the same price so I think the “permanent” aspect is like a free bonus.

What a wonderful little shop full of beautiful finds. I enjoyed looking at all of the gorgeous jewelry Catbird had to offer. The store was rather busy but the staff were patient and helpful. Riley assisted me when she was able and provided great advice. She was knowledgeable and considerate of my budget. She gave five star service with a smile. I felt very welcomed and would definitely shop here again.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting a Catbird brick-and-mortar, and it's a little tucked away--located downstairs beneath FRAME. It was great getting to try on rings in person and seeing all the beautiful pieces up close. Meg was incredibly friendly and helpful--she answered all my sizing questions, pulled up my past purchases, and even showed me their charm case. Catbird offers free welding if you want to add a charm to your bracelet or necklace, which is a nice touch. When I mentioned I'd lost a ring, she generously offered me 20% off to replace it. And since Catbird rarely goes on sale (15% at most), I had to replace my Painter's Gold Stacking Ring! Plus, the sales tax in Mass (yes, jewelry is taxed here!) is already lower than CA's.

Yelp
Fantastic second experience. First came December 2023. We came in around 11 on 12/26. We were treated very well by the three people working this morning. One name was Riley (spelling?), and all three were fantastic. They helped my son pick out two rings. They helped me pick a chain. And we bought lots of fun stuff. The staff made our experience wonderful. Thank you.

Yelp
So happy that catbird is expanding across the US! I used to make a special trip whenever I was in NY, but now being able to visit in Boston, DC and LA is so cool! I stopped by this new location on Newbury - absolutely loved the look of the boutique, customer service was helpful as always. Jenna was happy to answer all of my questions and make suggestions! Can't wait to visit again and check out the other new stores in my travels!

Yelp
LOVE this location. I got matching permanent bracelets 2 months ago with my friend and the process was so fun and easy! the staff are great and the selection of jewelry and cute little items is great.

Yelp
Service is less than desirable, for a forever bracelet let's just say it's a one year bracelet and they do not stand by their merchandise

Yelp
AVOID this location and business. Some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Why bother getting a permanent bracelet if it's going to fall off a few hours after?? And no help from management. What a scam. So disappointed.

Yelp
I have nothing but good things to say about Catbird! I bought a forever bracelet and had a lovely experience. Maura was so helpful assisting my indecisive self to pick out a bracelet and the welder was fantastic explaining every step of the way! I love my forever bracelet and have had no problems with it unlike a similar one from another store. Definitely will be back soon!

Yelp
If I could give 0 stars I would. I got a "permanent" bracelet that fell off within 6 hours. Not to mention when I went back to get it corrected the manager want on the floor and was the least accommodating person and so rude. She threatened to call the cops on my boyfriend because he "raised his voice at her", which he did no such thing, so he had to leave the store. I could go on and on about how horrible and disrespected my boyfriend and I were during our time there.
