"Tucked into a side street, Catch 27, evokes the feeling of being in a secluded enclave surrounded by tropical foliage away from tourist traffic. The shrimp cocktail brings me back to childhood when it was a luxury item reserved for once-a-year dinners out, except served with a side of the best cocktail sauce I’ve ever tasted, infused with datil peppers. For dinner, I opt for the nightly special — seared diver scallops overtop a mess of cavatelli, crawfish, and lightly fried okra, all brought together in a datil Creole sauce." - Carrie Honaker

"Daily deliveries of freshly caught seafood are prepared with a uniquely Southern twist — think deviled egg BLTs with a fried oyster, or seafood gumbo featuring shrimp and clams from Florida waters and Carolina gold rice grits. I wanted dessert but I wanted to get out of there even more. Let me tell you. It was the place chosen to celebrate Valentine's Day. Our expectations were really high so we made a reservation, however, due to traffic and the fact that we are coming from Jacksonville it was difficult for us to arrive on time, we let the hostess know who said that we would have to wait 20 minutes when in reality it was 50. It was frustrating to see how other people arrived and passed before us. Maybe at this time of the night my patience was running out, but the waiter took a while to take the order, in addition to this the place only has one bathroom. Finally I will give the review of the food: It is good. Unfortunately everything else overshadowed their fresh dishes.

Catch 27 in St Augustine was fantastic. The food was phenomenal and the staff is incredible! We visited on Saturday 11/16 We had the jumbo lump crab cake to start. Which was totally worth the price! Filled with plenty of lump blue crab meat, topped with a crispy fried green tomato and finished with a scoop of tasty pimento cheese on a bed of brussel sprout slaw. Definitely a good flavor combo. For dinner we got the Panko and Parmesan crusted snapper with mashed potatoes, asparagus and bacon-spinach cream sauce. Great presentation and it was amazing. Fish was perfectly cooked, good flavor as was the entire entree. Bacon-spinach cream sauce was top tier and made the dish. And the blackened pasta with the blackened salmon, orzo pasta in a kale pesto cream sauce. Which was just as impressive as the snapper. Great flavor and cooked just right. But you can tell which entree was mine😂 We were checked on by staff frequently and all were so polite and professional. This was our first time visiting and we couldn’t have received better service or had a better experience. Even though we weren’t celebrating anything special, the entire staff made sure we felt like special guests. 10/10 would recommend!

We are inside as the weather was cold and a bit rainy, and the dining room inside was small and very busy. The outdoor dining area is beautiful. Service was pretty good, but nothing outstanding. Food was good, nothing overly memorable, but do not get the shrimp cocktail - it’s bland with a weird flavor, we didn’t finish it and anyone around us who ordered it after us also didn’t seem to like it. The bar was decorated beautifully for Christmas!

Google
I rarely leave anything but 4 or 5 star reviews. Usually only 5 stars. The food here was pricey and extremely average. The upstairs seating felt like an empty depressing living room of someone's home. Service was slow but polite. Realistically I would never come back here.

The food was delicious. I got the brisket and really enjoyed the meal. The drinks were flavorful and refreshing. We had our holiday group dinner and it was great.

Google
Catch 27 was a solid 3. We were here with family for an upcoming wedding, and made reservations. The dining room is very tight so we were very close to the other tables. All we wanted was grouper and all they had was flounder. Once again we were disappointed with the fish of the day being a fish we can get anywhere. We ended up all getting salads which were fine enough but not mind-blowing or repeatable. The deviled egg appetizer was the best part of this meal.

My lovely wife and I made a last second decision to spend Sunday afternoon in St Augustine. We wanted to go to dinner somewhere we had not dined. We decided to give Catch 27 a shot and were happy to hear they had availability. It is located off of Charlotte street in a converted old home. There is a large patio area in the back but we elected to sit inside to get out of the Florida summer heat. We were seated downstairs in a charming room with maybe 10 tables. There is evidently another dining area upstairs. The downstairs was perfect and had a full bar. Note the bar is small…it sat 4 people so it probably would never be a distraction to the diners. For an appetizer, we had something that I believe was called the catch 27 trio? It was chips with three dips including a spectacularly fresh guacamole, a very unique pico de gallo that included peppers (great idea) and a fondue. It was simple but very well executed. I also had the Flying Dutchman for a cocktail which was a rum drink off their menu and included a sprig of super fresh mint. For our entrees, I had a Cuban bowl and my wife had a pear salad. We both elected to add the fish of the day which was mahi mahi. The mahi was flavorful but could have perhaps been cooked slightly longer…but it was not a problem, it was still delicious. We had plenty of leftovers. Catch 27 is a nice little place and definitely a place to add to your St Augustine date night rotation.

This place was recommended by friends at the Phillip Anthony art gallery. The food and drinks were fantastic! I had the creole salmon for dinner and the Golden Rose to drink. Our server Sunny was very friendly! We will definitely add this to our list of favorite places to eat in St Augustine!

Yelp
We chose this place because they could accommodate our really large group. We had a wonderful time and the service was very friendly and accommodating, yet firm to let us know of our time limit since we arrived a little late due to parking and bridge lifting. I got the shrimp and grit cakes. Such an amazing dish. I don't even like greens so I knew I may have to begrudgingly eat them. But they were amazing. Best greens I've ever had. Very tender and actually very sweet which was awesome by me. The perfect bite of shrimp greens grits and relish. So amazing. A dish I'd order again for sure. Very reasonable price for what is offered. Something to keep in mind is that parking is terrible. Plan ahead

Yelp
I would describe our entrees (roasted chicken and beef brisket) as satisfactory- which does not justify the prices. My roasted chicken had a nice flavor, but it was very mild. It was dry and accompanied by the saddest Brussel sprouts that looked boiled and not appetizing at all, though I still ate them. The sweet potato puree helped improve the dryness of the chicken, but was also lacking in flavor. Similarly, my husband's brisket was dry and lacking flavor (I could not taste the chimichurri at all), although it was tender. The haricot verts were tasteless and waxy. We both finished our entrees, so they weren't bad, but there was just nothing memorable about them. The best part of the meal was the chocolate orange chess pie for dessert...which is not made in-house according to their website. On a positive note, the ambiance is really nice if you sit outside. The patio has lovely lighting and we could hear a band playing great music nearby, though it wasn't too loud. Our server was also helpful and attentive despite having a large birthday party that she was also attending to. All in all, I don't regret going, but would not return.

Yelp
This review is only for food, and doesn't consider ambiance or service. I only tried a couple of appetizers - the minorca clam chowder and the salmon spread - both less than average and expensive. Minorca Clam Chowder: stew-like consistency, filled with chunks of extremely overcooked potatoes that were disintegrating. Flavor was decent but the texture was hard to ignore. Didn't get a single clam. Salmon Spread: is really a bowl of mayo and chunks of cream cheese with a few pieces of salmon inside... even the crostini seemed like stale bread. Prices are so expensive for what this is that I didn't bother with trying the entres.

Yelp
Walking in, this place offered a very pleasant, romantic, and relaxing ambiance. We started off with a salad that was supposed to have roasted beats, however, the beats were definitely steamed or boiled. The salad had some tarnished pieces of lettuce. And the lettuce and shredded carrots were like that of the bags of salads out of Publix (grocery store). Although the dressing was good and tasted fresh, this salad is 100% not worth getting. The water tasted unfiltered and the cocktail was tasty but could be stronger 8/10. For the main entrée we got the Mahi with orzo. The orzo was delicious with somewhat of a Cajun flavor, but enough where it wasn't over powering. The fish however although the flavor wasn't bad had had a soggy texture and lacked the softness and flakiness of a fish that's been cooked right. The service was good as we were helped in a timely manner. I would have to try this place again before I could recommend.

Yelp
The best food and drinks! Service is top notch. The ambiance is very home like! My favorite restaurant during my visit to St Augustine!

Yelp
Catch 27 was a great choice for our family. The backyard has such a charming vibe--we loved the water fountain, which added a relaxing touch. The soup options were fantastic, and the grits were an absolute favorite at our table. The menu has something for everyone, making it easy to please the whole group. Service was good overall, and we left happy and full. Definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
Incredible!!! The ahi tuna deviled eggs (of the day, they change everyday) were so different but amazing. I ordered the fresh catch and everything about it was amazing. My boyfriend ordered the piccata with cous cous & said it might be the BEST meal he's ever had. Amazing service & sitting outside was such a great vibe with the lights. 10/10 reccomend.

Yoly R.

Yelp
10/10 would recommend! Everything was delicious and perfectly seasoned. I had the Mahi Beurre Blanc and their espresso martini. My aunt had the Cuban rice bowl and the Moscow mule (she said it was the best mule she's ever had). We shared the app trio. Wait staff was friendly and prompt. It was a nice ambience as well. Would definitely be back!

Cortney J.

Yelp
To me, this was a hidden gem in the heart of historic st Augustine! During nights of lights the area is ever so bustling and the typical restaurants in the area had very very long wait times but we were hungry and somehow managed to find a seafood-forward restaurant that seated us immediately. It felt like a very good sign. It's a very cozy atmosphere inside the restaurant although they had plenty of seating outside (it was a bit chilly so inside was somewhat preferred for us anyway). I opted for the Catch Beurre Blanc, which featured mahi, roasted sweet potatoes, broccolini, and lemon caper beurre blanc sauce. This meal was so delicious I didn't want to stop eating even when I knew I was full. I'll be thinking about it for a long time. The service was excellent, she was patient and accommodating. The person I was dining with opted for a similar dish but wanted a different type of fish and they had accommodated the request. I was far to full to try any dessert but I was so impressed I can't wait to come back here the next time I'm in St Augustine

Yelp
Nice ambiance in the courtyard! Food was great although service was a bit uneven. Was just the two of us but this place does also cater to larger groups.

Yelp
I am a vegetarian but I make sure I visit Catch 27 every time I visit St. Augustine. Catch 27 offers both indoor and outdoor seating, but without a reservation, I doubt you will find a table during usual dinner hours. It is deservedly a very popular place! On my most recent visit, I had a 6:30pm dinner reservation. My companion and I arrived on time and were seated within 30 seconds. The hostess was charming, efficient and attentive, as were all of the staff members with whom I interacted or observed. There is a noticeable un-Floridian sophistication to the team and it is refreshing to experience it. As noted above, I do not eat meat, but I have never had any challenges eating at Catch 27. My companion and I started with a trio of dips (avocado, pico and something very cheesy but surprisingly light) served with tortilla chips. Having already walked about 15 miles around the area by the time we got to dinner, we needed little prompting to devour the appetizer. It was very simple, very good, and executed just a simple appetizer should be executed. We knew what we wanted and that is exactly what we got. We washed down our appetizer, and the entrees that followed, with a pitcher of sangria. It was delightfully flavorful and refreshing. The bartender made the sangria fresh and I wish I could recite everything he put into the carafe, but at some point, I felt I was watching a chemist at work and just gave up. So many bottles and jiggers! For my entree, I thoroughly enjoyed a summer risotto. The risotto was well prepared and delicately seasoned. It included summer squash and corn in the risotto itself, and was served with fresh asparagus. The asparagus was the star, but the other vegetables provided a nuanced sweetness to the dish. The full effect was delicious!

Yelp
The bartender and server was awesome. I loved their ginger drink. Food was alright, but didn't blow me away. Ambiance is very very cute!

Yelp
My wife and I were looking for a place to have a quiet anniversary dinner and decided to come to Catch 27. Some of the reasons: many places are closed on Mondays (but not Catch 27), the menu looked good, it was centrally located. In terms of location, Catch 27 is in an ideal spot for the tourist crowd and I'm sure they reap the benefits from that. There is a largish outside seating area, which is probably great for evening once the sun as slid a bit past the trees. We had a reservation for an inside table. The dining room inside is small and simple but effective. The walls are painted in sea to sky horizon, which I think is beautiful and subtle. My wife ordered a glass of white wine (La Chappell du Bastion Picpoul de Pinet) and I ordered a Mr Snufflupagas mocktail which is a spiced Thai tea with some kind of coconut milk in it. It was alright, but not amazing. We ordered Devils on Horseback for a starter. I was torn between this or the Deviled Eggs w/ Southern Fried Oyster, but chose this because of the oddity of the flavor layers that surely must come from combining bacon, chorizo, dates, balsamic, and bleu cheese. This starter was amazing. All of the pieces together were excellent, and each bite brought a multi-dub-step of mind-blowing layers. It's a weird, but genius idea. My wife ordered the Catch Beurre Blanc and the fish was mahi. Lemon caper beurre blanc sauce over the grilled fish, brocollini, and roasted sweet potatoes. That sauce is excellent and everything was cooked perfectly. I ordered the red wine braised beef brisket. It came as two thin-cut slabs over potato puree with fresh green beans on the side. The meat and potatoes were doused in an excellent mushroom demi-glace and a then a nice swipe of chimichurri was added, which provided some color as well as a touch of tastebud goodness. The meat was so tender, I tried to cut it with a knife, but it was easier to just pull it apart with my fork. Superb. I also ordered a ruby fizz mocktail. That was really good. Tart cherry, coconut, lime, and soda with a Filthy cherry and lime slice garnish. This one is excellent. Definitely worth a try. Lastly but not leastly, Sunny was our waitress. She was super professional, friendly, and available. Really excellent. Given the chance and the right situation, I'd gladly come back.

Yelp
We were in town for a music festival and in our haste to enjoy the beach before dinner and the music we failed to make a reservation - on a Saturday night! We were worried but lucked out! We were greeted by a lovely hostess and gentleman who offered us "waterfront" dining aka fountain. But it was truly lovely! The bar behind them had a cool band going which added to the fun! We started with the trio of salsa, guac and fondue. All three were magical! The deviled eggs and fried oysters were flavorful and tender! Now on to dinner: One friend is picky but they were SO accommodating! She got the braised beef without the gravy, plain mashed potatoes, and green beans. It was so full of flavor and tender! I had the summer risotto with salmon both were cooked perfectly! The other friend was lured into salad by the beets and was not disappointed, which I have to say is often the case with salads! LOL Our drinks were also lovely and our server couldn't have been more kind. We will absolutely be back!

Eddie H.

Yelp
We had a great night out to Catch 27. Started out with a bottle of wine named Ben Marco which was very good! The salmon fish dip was amazing I was licking the bowl!!! The blackened shrimp and grits was amazing!!! My wife got the Panko grouper which was very good!!! I recommend coming here fish was so fresh!!! Service was perfect our waiter Marcus directed us to great orders. The place is super clean very romantic place to bring a loved one. You can also reserve which I recommend. They are also dog friendly!!!

Sarah S.

Yelp
We chose this place for our second evening meal in St Augustine. It's a dark ambient place played quiet and good music. Had a risotto and shrimp and grits. I wasn't a fan of tail on shrimp with my grits and sauce. Requiring me to navigate it and discard them But it was cooked perfectly and the dish was flavorful. And that is probably just me not used to that style. Everyone was friendly enough. We noticed our server forgot to bill us for two drinks and let them know and it almost seemed like it didn't matter to them. For the price point of the dishes - $30 + I did have some higher expectations of overall experience. But the food is good and this is a nice laid back alternative in the area.

Martha R.

Yelp
Went here with a large group because they take reservations. Location was convenient for catching Ubers and bar hopping afterwards. We had a reservation but still had a bit of a wait before they could seat us. Waiter was spotty and we had to ask for water refills but he could explain the dishes.

Maitrayee D.

Yelp
We were there on a cold blustery night . One word simply delicious food. Ordered there fresh catch buerre blanc which was Mahi Mahi. Yum fish cooked to perfection. My husband got Mahi mahi blackened. He finished his entire plate. Our friends orderecblackemed salmon over orzo.Loved the way orzo was cooked soft & creamy sauce . We also had the Beef brisket over mashed potatoes. Food was too good . I had ordered limoncello panacotta. It was very yummy. Overall a memorable feast .

Martha G.

Yelp
Visited Catch 27 for my birthday dinner. Started with the Deviled eggs blt with southern fried oysters, also had some chorizo stuffed mushroom special. Both are excellent, but those deviled eggs! Wows!! For dinner, my husband I both had the Florida cioppino, which was perfection. I received a complimentary birthday chocolate dessert also. Lovely small indoor area. Tastefully decorated and intimate. Larger seating area outdoors. Very good service.

Tiara L.

Yelp
Went here for a surprise birthday dinner. Very small and intimate atmosphere. For the appetizer we got the crab cake. It was ok, maybe because it wasn't super hot coming out? Idk but it wasn't the best crab cake I've ever eaten. For the entrees due to me not eating pork I tried the blackened shrimp pasta. It actually was really good. Also tried the braised short rib, that was delicious! Just a small portion. But probably the best dish between the two. Also for dessert I did receive a birthday dessert. But I really wanted to try the dark chocolate crème brûlée and that was pretty tasty. The service was ok as well. I will try again in the future.

Marialuisa M.

Yelp
Where to begin??? Such a wonderful restaurant. The staff were so accommodating and kind. We originally called to make a reservation, since we were unable to do so online, but nothing was available. We still took the chance and did a walk-in with the ever so crowded downtown. Upon arrival we were seated, outside on the patio almost immediately. We started with drinks, a Caesar salad, and a cheese board. Entrees were seafood gumbo, beef brisket ( short rib) and a kids grilled cheese. Everything was cooked to perfection. For dessert we did the Panna Cotta; it was airy and just the perfect amount of sweet! Prices were as follows : Cheese Board $20 Ceasar Salad $16 Kids Grilled Cheese $8 Beef Brisket $36 Seafood Gumbo $42 Panna Cotta $13 I cannot remember our server's name, but according to our ticket we were ticket #30 from the evening of December 22, 2023 at 9:20pm if that helps track him down so you can commend him for his EXCELLENT Service. We will be back. Thank you Catch 27

Tony P.

Yelp
Went to Catch 27 for dinner on New Year's Eve - first time. Overall, it was a great experience - the food, service and ambiance were outstanding! We will definitely return next year as part of our trip to St. Augustine every New Years! Keep up the great work!

Edie D.

Yelp
Lovely ambience, personable staff, and our delicious food was out pretty quickly. All around a great dining experience.

Suzanne H.

Yelp
I had a long, hot day exploring St Augustine and thanks to other Yelp reviews chose Catch 27. It was just what I wanted! It was just me so I sat at the small bar and chatted with the bartender. She was great! Deviled Egg BLT with fried oyster was so delicious. You must get it!! The bacon jam was wow! It's an appetizer I would drive back to St Augustine to have again! Can't say enough. Highly recommend!

Christine Z.

Yelp
The food is amazing!!! I suggest making a reservation especially if you want to eat inside. Large outdoor eating area. Much more intimate inside. Drinks are also fabulous!

Amber S.

Yelp
Great food, great flavors, and great service. Located in the historic center, this place is beautiful inside and out. The food is fresh and the different flavors in the dish really compliment each other. Highly recommend

Mary D.

Yelp
So many great choices in St.Augustine but enjoyed our meals at Catch 27! Fresh fish of the day & many options. Mahi Mahi Was the fish of the day. I Enjoyed Catch Buerre Blanc & my husband enjoyed his blackened pasta both with The fish of the day. Very attentive service & relaxed ambiance. Lots of fantastic choices & look forward to visiting again in the future.

Alaina R.

Yelp
Anniversary weekend away with my husband, we had reservations and were seated inside because I thought it'd be cold but tables and ambience inside were too small for us and the vibes were way better outside. Restaurant behind played live music that we could hear and it was lovely. Food was great and so was the wine!

Kelsey G.

Yelp
My favorite dinner spot in St. Augustine! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The food and service is always fantastic. Great place for a date night and a must stop for anyone visiting for the weekend.

Tabitha R.

Yelp
A must stop for dinner or lunch if I'm historic St Augustine. Came early to avoid the crowds and were seated immediately in the patio. Nice breeze bc of fans and not super buggy which was good for a hot June day. kids meal had options that even our kids loved with fresh mahi as an add on. Our big kid ordered off the adults menu and LOVED the shrimp tacos. Im not a fan of blackened food and they swapped out my options for fresh grilled which was seasoned perfectly and cooked right! Staff were friendly and helpful. I would absolutely eat here again as the flavors were bright, bold, and not too heavy. Fish was VERY fresh tasting and prepared perfectly. Portions were good sizable options and we definitely didn't leave hungry

Joon J.

Yelp
Loved this place. Made a reservation for 2, 7pm for our Anniversary. Lovely card with a "Happy Anniversary" on the table was present when we arrived. Our server was lovely. She knew her menu and was very pleasant. She even gave us few recommendations to browse around in St. Augustine. We ordered Grits and Shrimp & Lemon Risotto. Flavors were balanced and delicious. Best food we had in St. Aug. Definitely recommend this place for a nice dinner outing.

Laura T.

Yelp
In the heart of historic saint augustine is this tucked away seafood spot. This was our first time here and I was very pleased with the service. Our hostess led us up to the dining room, where it's quaint and cozy. The ambiance is pleasant and soothing here, perfect for a date night. Our server was very attentive and eager to serve us. I ordered the Blackened pasta with shrimp, which came with orzo, a kale pesto cream sauce, and of course, shrimp. The pasta was served beautifully and the taste was divine. The prices seemed justified for the portion and the flavor. Overall, our time spent here between shared appetizers and our meals clocked in at just over an hour, and that is with a reservation. If you decide to come here, reserve a little more time in your day to enjoy the food and the ambiance.

Andy O.

Yelp
We went for a midweek date night at @freshcatch27. Celebrating their 10 year anniversary! We were super excited to try the restaurant's new seasonal menu, including shareable plates, entrees with a Southern twist, specialty drinks and mouthwatering desserts. Beautiful breezes, intimate outdoor setting, lit with twinkling lights, delicious food and exceptional service by the staff. Added bonus is you can hear the live music from next door Colonial Oak music park. They pride on serving high-quality, seasonal fare, their menus adapt with the seasons to highlight fresh and flavorful ingredients year-round while enhancing the quality of the meals. Compliments to chef Josh Smith, server Perry and owners Stephen and his wife Lindsey! Thanks for hosting us we will definitely be back!

Sydney D.

Yelp
We had an amazing experience! The staff was great, and the food was even better. We ordered the deviled eggs with southern fried oysters to start, and got the cuban rice bowl with blacked shrimp and the grits with blackened shrimp! 10/10, we would definitely go back. Great ambiance and the margaritas were pretty good as well.

Shary E.

Yelp
Omg awesome! Had a house cocktail called the Hunky Dory and loved it! The Deviled Egg with oyster top was truly spectacular. Don't miss it. Shrimp and Grits was delicious, but I love creamy cheesy grits, which as a Northerner, I get very infrequently, but this was more like polenta cake, and so not exactly what I was expecting. Still delicious and would order again. My boyfriend had fresh fish dish and he loved it. If you're in St. Augustine, make a reservation and go here!

Delia L.

Yelp
We came on a last minute decision and managed to snag dinner reservations for a Saturday night. We were promptly seated in the quaint courtyard out back to dine outdoors and thank goodness for the beautiful weather. It was a very cozy feel. I can always appreciate a menu that isn't so busy, but has a good variety of options if you don't quite know what you're in the mood for. We took advantage of the fresh seafood options. We ordered the Spring Risotto and added shrimp. We also ordered the Cuban Rice Bpwl and added blackened Mahi to it. The risotto was perfectly creamy without being heavy. The peas, leeks and asparagus made a normally heavy dish taste and feel "fresh." Shrimp was seasoned well and perfectly prepared. The Rice bowl was also wonderful. Huge piece of fish to accompany all the flavors. We had the special crab cake appetizer with a baklava element. Sounds strange, but it was amazing. All crab, no filler. And the portion was huge! We also both ordered the Gin and Tonic which featured local Gin from the St. Aug distillery. Staff were also great! They checked on us quite a few times, which we also always appreciate.

Brian C.

Yelp
Good spot, good food nice adult beverage selection too. Service was fast and friendly. Mahi was cooked perfectly

Nikki B.

Yelp
First of all, this place is breathtakingly beautiful. If the weather is nice ask for outdoor seating. They have heaters so even if it's chilly it's very nice! The menu is seasonal so this is a review of their Spring items. We started with the Crab Cake appetizer and the pieces of crab were plentiful. It is large enough to share but I didn't really want to, haha! The sauce paired with this is divine. I had the Salmon and Lobster Primavera and I honestly wish I had a photo of the huge claw pieces of lobster. There were no corners cut in this entree. The veggies were crisp and the sauce was light and refreshing. The salmon was cooked perfectly. My mom who is not a huge seafood person opted for the blackened chicken and orzo pasta. Though she is not a huge fan of kale she said everything else was perfect! Our server was very sweet and this place is worth the price. The portions are huge and the ambiance of being outside is really wonderful. This will most definitely be my first dinner stop next time we are in town!

Julie F.

Yelp
This place is clean and nicely decorated. Our server was friendly and accommodating. The food is definitely not worth the price The grouper was not fresh. It was rubbery. The pasta prima vera that was served with the grouper was delicious. The Caesar salad is served with arugula and not Romaine lettuce, too. The dressing was a bit smoky.

Melissa H.

Yelp
Lovely spot with great service and wonderful food. The outdoor patio is charming. We had a celebration dinner for the holidays.

Yelp
Amazing food. However we specifically asked our server to NOT serve all the food too fast. (The restaurant was about 50% full) Unfortunately we only had a sip of our cocktails when ALL the food arrived. The four of us were sitting at a table for four that could not accommodate all the plates hanging off the edges of the table. Instead of apologizing for not communicating to the kitchen the server had an attitude. We still tipped 20% hoping the tip would be shared with staff.

Yelp
Amazing and I highly recommend the fried oysters on deviled eggs. The food was great with the exception of their version of paella seafood was overcooked. Everything else is wonderful on the menu. Looking forward to coming back.

Yelp
Unfortunately, I was too hungry to take a photo before digging in, thereby missing a chance to showcase some of the best fish (mahi-mahi) tacos I've eaten anywhere! From the tortillas (flour in my case, though you're given a choice) to the fish to the pico to the cheese to the chipotle sauce to the guac, everything was perfect, individually and as an ensemble. Also, I chose to upgrade the side of chips to the Minorcan seafood chowder and would highly recommend you do the same, especially if you can tolerate a little spice. The two together made for a great meal. Also, our server, whose name I've sadly forgotten, was outstanding (even by St. Augustine standards for food service, which I've found to be much higher than the norm).

Yelp
The service was quite good and the food was pretty much as expected. Ambiance was fine (we ate inside.) Prices were about what one might expect in a "tourist environment." Would we return? While we'll probably see what else we can find -- simply because it is a very competitive environment -- we would not err in coming back here.

Yelp
We had a great experience at Catch 27. Josh was our waiter and took very good care of us. Being a party of 10, we had to sit outside which was fine since they have multiple large propane heaters. We started with Moscow Mules(which they make their own ginger beer) which were very tasty. I ordered cajun salmon risotto and my wife had a house salad with blackened mahi. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was very good. I would definitely return here in the future and even in 45 degree weather it was comfortable sitting outside.

Yelp
We came here on vacation and found this restaurant due to their amazing Yelp reviews. The Yelp reviews don't lie!! This restaurant is fantastic and the outdoor seating area is romantic and gorgeous. We sat outside and ordered right away. The food came out so quickly and tasted so good! We started with the Butternut Squash soup was which simply perfection in a cup. The consistency and flavors were out of this world. Then my Crab Cake Sandwich arrived and it was delicious as well. We really enjoyed coming here and definitely recommend it!
