"Tim Love’s venture into fine Italian dining in Fort Worth caused quite a stir with it’s no-cell phone policy. Because of that, phots aren’t exactly floating around social media of it but the dining room evokes old school Little Italy — exposed brick walls, black leather booths, and photos of mobsters on the walls. The menu follows, offering Lobster Alison, veal chop with parmesan, and branzino — all the classics of Italian fine dining." - Courtney E. Smith

"Caterina's is a classic Italian dining room in the Fort Worth Stockyards, notable for its policy requiring diners to give up their cell phones while eating. The venue offers dishes like beef carpaccio with black truffle emulsion, escolar with citrus granita, Coniglio en Agrodolce, and a dish named after the owner’s sister featuring lobster and sweet corn ravioli. The restaurant is named after the chef's late sister, Kathleen." - Courtney E. Smith

Couple friends and I passed by for a 1$ Martini promo we received in the app while visiting Texas and also shared a Beef Carpaccio. I can say I was happily surprised by the truffle in the carpaccio and we all agreed was SUPER TASTY, also the martinis 🫶🏽 The bartender was very attentive and nice

I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to make sure I gave a shout-out to my waiter tonight. From the moment we sat down, he was on point with everything! His name was Mason, and he was truly exceptional. He greeted us with a warm smile, answered all our questions about the menu with patience and insight, and made some excellent recommendations. It was clear he was really knowledgeable and passionate about the food. Not only was he attentive without being overbearing, but he also made us feel incredibly welcome and valued the whole time. It’s rare to come across service like this, and I truly hope his manager sees this and recognizes how amazing he was. He definitely made our experience unforgettable, and I’ll be coming back because of the outstanding service alone. If you’re lucky enough to be seated in his section, you’re in for a treat! Thank you, Mason, for making our evening so special!

We had a fabulous four course lunch date. The service that Maria gave us was incredible and the food was so very delicious. We had plenty of leftovers to take home.

The price tag does not match the quality of the food or experience. We ordered the arancini to start and they fell apart. The sauce was decent. The Caesar salad was bitter and soggy. My husband’s shrimp cost $40 and there were literally three shrimp on the plate with nothing else. He also ordered a spiral pasta that was overcooked and falling apart. My rigatoni was good, but the noodles were so large they had to be cut in half. Also, the tables are so close together you cannot get up without bumping into the person sitting next to you. You also cannot even hear the person you came with talking because other guests are sitting so close! There’s only one restroom and when I went in, the chef was coming out and he left the seat up, with pee on the rim and floor. This is why women SHOULD NOT have to share a bathroom with men. Our bill was over $250 for two people and I can assure you, we will not be back.

My family and I had a reservation for dinner on Saturday, February 8, to celebrate a family member's birthday. We had reserved a private room several weeks in advance and this reservation was confirmed TWICE by a phone call. Upon arrival, we were informed that they didn't know about the private room reservation (this was a lie) and that "the owner" showed up and was given the private room that we reserved. Nice to know that "the owner" is more important than customers.

This place is ridiculous. They want to lock up your cell phone. They say they don't "force" you to but rest assured that you WILL either fork over your phone or they will ask you to leave and steal your money that you used to hold the reservation if you cancel ($50+ per person). You should know that they think VERY highly of themselves so you should expect them to say something like "we are so highly rated because of this policy" or "it's so clearly stated on the website!" First of all, nobody is investigating every restaurant's website before visiting. That's insanity that they even think that especially in a touristy town like Fort Worth and more specifically the stockyards. Also, their customers clearly don't love this policy or they wouldn't have 3.2 stars on yelp. I think what they don't understand is it's not the fact that they have the policy that's offensive, it's how they go about it. They are unbelievably rude about it. Before I close my review, I really want to cover everything that they might rebuttal with because I've already seen their responses to other reviews. They are going to say "we keep your money because we are such a busy restaurant and we are booked out weeks in advance and we will lose reservations and money if you cancel!" That's a lie. I booked my reservation an hour before we arrived and when we arrived it was far from busy (go figure with this attitude and policy!). They think so highly of themselves that they are blind to what is acceptable behavior and policy. They are not highly rated. Customers do not love this policy. Especially customers like me that have a disabled child was being watched by family and need access to a phone for an emergency (NO I don't want your company phone, I want my family to have direct access to MY phone). How about you guys just tell people to leave them in their pockets as much as possible? What is so hard about that? You can't even treat people like adults. What a ridiculous, egocentric, self-glorifying business.

First time diners tonight. We had Mason as our sever and he was fabulous. Mason took his time explaining the menu thoroughly, including the gluten free options. We never felt rushed like we were at someone’s home. The food and drinks were perfect, and all three deserts we tried were heavenly. We will definitely be back.

I would like to start off by saying our server Michelle was amazing. If it wasn’t for her we would have walked out. They put your phone in a baggy that’s locked and you can not get to it until after dinner. Food was over priced and bad. They claim to be a “Steakhouse” but only have one steak on the menu that’s $160. That $160 steak was awful. The cocktails were good but were water down cause they put so much ice in it. If you are a local do not go there. This restraunt is trying to be something it’s not and they shouldn’t not be doing it in the stockyards. Maybe Dallas would be a better fit.

Yelp
Very pleasantly surprised. We were hesitant to try this place due to the swing of ratings. We had an early dinner with a six year old. The ambiance was great and we really enjoyed the no cellphone rule. The staff were great with the little one. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. Side note: This is my first yelp post as I felt compelled to share our experience.

Yelp
My wife's review: Husband surprised me with this and I read the reviews during the drive there. Everything is either an extreme 5 or an extreme 1 so I went in with low expectations Within minutes, I was in the hard 5 camp I started at the bar while husband parked and was blown away by the warmth and hospitality. At first we thought we'd eat at the bar, but decided to move to a table and I'm so glad we did The atmosphere was very intimate. The service was everything I love about fine dining. The food was over-the-top good. We loved the "no cell phones" policy and trust me, we are cell phone addicts. But it added to the experience in a rich and meaningful way The service was so attentive and personal. I never imagined my husband could blow me away with a restaurant plan, but he did I loved this experience and can't wait to be back in that charming setting again and again. The roast chicken was to die for. The pasta was to die for. Being off our phones and talking and laughing...was to die for Highly recommend

Yelp
O.M.G. I fell in love with this restaurant first time visiting Fort Worth. We tried just about everything on the menu and had zero complaints. Our server was so kind I wish I remembered her name she was awesome. The lunch deal for $39 per person was definitely worth it because everything is really shareable. I would love to go back here.

Yelp
Was so excited to try this place for my birthday, especially after reading the reviews. Was expecting a fine dining, 5 star experience, and the reality was an empty, short staffed mediocre and overpriced experience. Walked in and no one to greet us. No one sitting at bar on a busy Stockyard weekend. Thought we entered the wrong door so started walking around to find someone. Staff finally arrived and took us to a table. Maybe 4 other tables with people sat at 7p. Should've been our first sign. Complimentary Prosecco was nice. Tableside drink presentation should have been exciting but we ordered normal bar drinks so the process seemed wasteful and unnecessary. Waitress stated her fav drink was the mezcal one. Two of us ordered. Came with a blue cheese/fig leaf wrapped accompaniment- not enjoyable especially if you don't prefer blue cheese- again wasteful and unnecessary and gross. Neither of us enjoyed the drink either. Didn't finish it. Waitress suggested the caprese - it was underwhelming. She suggested the pork chop for our main meal but her series of suggestions so far were bad so we went with the rigatoni, carbonara and b fish. All were good. She brought everclear limoncello as a "complimentary birthday" item to end our meal. None of us enjoyed it. Saying it was everclear cheapened the experience. One of our party is Italian and she was underwhelmed with the entire dining experience as well. No Polaroid was offered or taken. The place seemed understaffed and the staff there seemed as if they didn't enjoy their job or being there. Would not return and was not a special birthday type dining experience. Waste of time and money

Yelp
My wife and I are big fans of Lonesome Dove so we thought we'd try Caterina's based on reviews and recommendations. Excellent food, outstanding service by a young and enthusiastic wait staff. Looks great and is perfect for special occasions. Highly recommended. P.S. - We're not snobs, but we're big foodies and have been at top restaurants all over the country, and this one stands out.

Yelp
The food was delicious. The serving size was very generous as well. This was a great place to go for lunch. We randomly choose this place, and we are happy we did. The service was great, and the ambiance was very nice and appealing. We will definitely return.

Yelp
Really great experience. Staff were all very kind and attentive. Best food we had all weekend. We ate at the bar and Britany the bartender was absolutely the best. She took care of us while making drinks for everyone.

Guadalupe G.

Yelp
Such an amazing restaurant. Everything we ordered was amazing. Phones are put away in a pouch and at times I wish I could take a pic and share how delicious everything looks but it's no biggie. Forget Carbone in Dallas this restaurant is closer and more delicious. Highly recommend. My fav dishes are the meatballs, beef carpaccio piedmontese, the pieces of small breads, cesar, rigatoni veal chop parmigiana and the lobster!

Katie S.

Yelp
We were seated for our reservation promptly and given the complimentary Prosecco, which was delicious. No bread service or meat/cheese plate as other mentioned were offered. Our server was attentive and nice. Having the phones put away/ locked during the meal was fine (and a nice change), though we called several times on our way to let them know we'd be a few minutes late and no one answered. I'm a little concerned if there was an emergency and someone needed to get a hold of you they wouldn't be able to (we all have small children at home and had given the sitter the number). The man seated next to us was in an orange fishing shirt... would have loved this establishment to enforce the jacket rule for men. Pork chop, veal and chicken were all delicious. Caesar was nothing special. Spaghetti carbonara and rigatoni were good. Wine was fine. We had noted we were celebrating 2 anniversaries on the reservation as well as mentioned it when the server asked upon being seated -- zero was done to celebrate that, no dessert. Not a huge deal though if you're looking for something like this, this isn't the place. We asked for a Polaroid photo on our way out (a cute thing the restaurant does since phones are not allowed) and the woman at the front didn't know how to change the film nor work the camera ... again, strange. We left hungry and a little deflated, we had such high hopes for this place :(

Jon L.

Yelp
Neat experience, love that they lock your phones up so you are forced to be present. The food is worth every penny, the drinks are great and they make them in a bar cart right in front of you, the atmosphere is New York speak easy which I'm always a fan of, and the service is white gloved; zero complaints! And they take a cool Polaroid photo to put up on their wall at the end. You're also already in the stock yards so you can go from classy Italian to Yee Haw in just a few steps.

Hannah Z.

Yelp
The food was amazing at Caterinas! We started off with some aracini that was some of the best I've had since living in Italy. Then we shared a veal cheek agnolotti. The sage sauce and cipollini onion were delicious but the agnolotti wasn't actually agnolotti. And the veal cheek inside was very dry. Tasty but dry. After that we had the pork chop which I would definitly recommend and finished it off with tiramisu). Overall I'd come here again maybe in a few years. It's definitly a special occasion place. They serve you complementary Prosecco when you sit down, as well as bring out a sampling of meat and cheese and then bread. It was fun. And having our phones locked up was nice. If our server didn't call us "my dears" literally every time she spoke to us, I'd give this place 4 stars instead of 5.

Rachel K.

Yelp
Don't let the lack of pictures and reviews fool you, this restaurant is Fort Worth's best kept secret! Tim Love absolutely knocked out of the park with this one! The authentic Italian food is some of the best in the DFW area. Restaurant team was SO friendly and attentive. No phone policy was a breath of fresh air - every table was engaged in meaningful conversation. Our server Shay was absolutely outstanding and made sure we had a great experience! Dallas and Fort Worth have a lot of new restaurants but this one stands out as a classic! Highly recommend!

Yelp
We had just finished eating at another chef Love establishment (across the street from here. Had our Togo bag with us, even, if that matters) but walking to our car our daughters saw the ice cream place next to this establishment. This Place was closed, it had been closed for 52 min! We decided to sit at one of their outdoor tables while we waited for our daughters to get ice cream next door. A man that speaks English with an accent came out and ran us off. Asked if we wanted a table knowing full well they've been closed and just spoke to us like we were idiots. So freaking rudely! Will definitely think about spending our money out here next time. This is why us locals DO NOT want or support this type of development. The neighborly aspect and just plain humanity gets sucked out of places like our lovely stockyards.

Ming C.

Yelp
Finally got round to try it and I brought an old camera to take pictures without the flash knowing they have a phone ban, it was locked in a pouch. The restaurant is cramped like an NYC restaurant where you can stick your hand out and touch the food on the next table. I went alone just to be nosy and I sat in silent throughout. For starters I had meatballs and caprese and then rabbit stew for main. The alcohol infused cake was very dry but everything else was great. I wasn't sure about getting dressed up (jacket required) to eat in the Stockyard but I would go back.

Dolores K.

Yelp
I must say - I was not expecting to leave this type of review, but I cannot see any other way around it. A friend and I decided to try out Caterina's before a concert at Dickies. We both love Italian food and thought it looked like a fun concept. We arrived early, and they were willing to accommodate us and seat us early after very quickly locking our phones in sealed pouches. I get the reasoning behind it, but honestly, I believe there may be other reasons behind this concept, but I digress. Upon being seated, our waitress greeted us with a complimentary glass of champagne. Nice way to begin the evening. She proceeds to also bring us a small tray of two small pieces of parmigiano reggiano (most likely from the big wheel at the front door) and two slices of prosciutto. It, too, was a nice touch. We are off to a good start! Not even having a chance to look at a dinner menu or even enjoy the glass of sparkling given when we were handed a small cocktail menu with quite a few options. I'm a bourbon gal, and ordered a Paper Plane that was not on the special menu. My friend ordered a Hugo that was. A few minutes later, the waitress pushes a cocktail cart up to the table and makes a show of creating my friend's cocktail, including "clapping" the mint/herbs that go into her cocktail between her hands in a theatrical fashion. Now I like a good show, but this was a bit on the over-the-top and unnecessary side. Now I'm beginning to understand why they're not allowing phones..... Both cocktails were very good. (Highly recommend the Paper Plane.) And we were then immediately handed dinner menus and were walked though the "chef's recommendations" to eat. Nothing on the antipasto portion stood out as a must have. So, we decided to start our meal out by sharing a Caprese salad. For the pasta course, she ordered the spaghetti alle vongole (clams), while I ordered the Cacio e Pepe. For the main course, we decided to split the 2lb lobster that comes with sweet corn ravioli. The waitress again states that the "chef recommends an antipasto as well" as if that means we HAVE to order one because he says so. That was slightly off putting. Once we finish ordering, our waitress asks us what wines we would like to have with each course. Now we haven't drank our cocktails or even finished the sparkling wine yet. So the idea to ask for wine orders, seemed a little premature. We told her that we will wait and see how the dinner progresses. The Caprese salad arrived at the table. A lovely mixture of cherry and heirloom tomatoes, kissed with an evoo and balsamic mixture. However, it also arrived with the equivalent of 2 tbsp of crumbled fresh mozzarella. Not exactly what we were expecting, but we enjoyed it. The pasta dishes arrived. My friend's pasta alle vongole looked good, and she enjoyed hers. However, while the texture of the bucatini in my Cacio e Pepe was nice, the flavor was just off. It had a hint of what tasted like white truffle oil, which not only doesn't belong in a Cacio e Pepe but is one of the flavors I just do not like. So, I ate very little. Once again we were asked about purchasing wine. We figured this wouldn't stop until we actually ordered wine. So we each ordered a glass. Main course arrived: 2lb Lobster with Sweet Corn Ravioli. Presentation was beautiful (if I was allowed to take a photo, I'd surely post one). However once we each got a half of a tail on our plates, we found the lobster to be extremely extremely rubbery and over cooked. I also found the sauce to be overwhelming for the dish, but we didn't get a chance to try the ravioli. We couldn't get past the texture of the lobster. Once we notified the waitress, she promptly took the plate away and came back with the menu. She suggested the shrimp scampi but warned us that they're very large and "barely cooked." At this point, we just went with that to be done with dinner. A gentleman, who I think may have been a manager, arrived with our scampi and said that he wanted us to cut into them and taste them with him present. Extremely odd but we acquiesced. The shrimp was indeed large, but the flavor was just okay. I think at that point, we were just done with dinner and asked for our check without eating my more of the scampi outside of the tasting. The bill arrives and I notice that there are charges for at least 2-3 items that were not ours. Somehow our table and a neighboring table had our bills combined. They sorted it out, and we promptly paid and left. The food is just not worth the hype or the pretentiousness. While our waitress was nice, the constant pushing of ordering more and more wine/cocktails became tiresome. I understand that is a big money maker for restaurants, but it's a little off putting. I would honestly find your Italian elsewhere.

Yelp
I am not one to leave a low review, so this is something that is a little uncomfortable for me. However, my experience here needed to be shared as I was utterly embarrassed, and I feel they should be aware. I was visiting from out of town about two weeks ago, and haven't been to the area for about ten years. After having dinner elsewhere, I decided to try Caterina's because it looked like a nice place to have one drink before going back to the hotel to bed. Full disclosure, I was by myself as my date had cancelled earlier that evening and I was trying to still enjoy my night out. I had done no research on this restaurant prior to me coming in. When I arrived, the bar had one seat in the middle of two couples. I asked the bartender if anyone was seated there, and she told me it was empty. Once I sat down, I immediately ordered without looking at a menu. As stated before, I had done zero research, so I was completely unaware of the no-phone policy, and did not notice any sign anywhere once I was seated, nor had anyone said anything. My drink comes and I take a sip; it was delicious. Since I was by myself, and was not waiting for anyone, I had my phone out to read from my Kindle app. It is the usual thing I do if I am dining/drinking by myself. The couples next to me were enjoying their evening together and not talking to me, and I'm not one to interject into conversation unless invited. That's when the manager comes up to say hello and ask how I was. After exchanging pleasantries, he then informs me of the "no phone" policy. He tells me he has to "unfortunately take my phone and lock it up." This immediately threw me off, and the way it was presented had everyone at the bar now focused on me. I felt embarrassed and without thinking, just handed him my phone for him to put in a pouch that I didn't realize locked. Once he walks away, the bar tender tries to hand me a menu just in case I "wanted some reading material." When I said no, she walked away from the bar. So now, not only have the other people at the bar gone back to their conversations, but the person behind the bar is gone along with her manager. I was alone. I don't want to ramble on more than I have, so I'm going to end with this. I completely understand that the policy is "no phone," and I definitely respect that. As a business, that is the right of the owner to have that policy. When it comes to customer service however, something needs to change. I was at a restaurant, not a performance. I was by myself, and not waiting for anyone. I needed to be informed before I ordered my $20 drink about the policy, so that way I had a choice to stay or not. Instead, I was embarrassed and honestly, felt public shamed, over a policy I was unaware of. On top of it, was then left alone with no one to talk to for some time. It felt like being back in elementary school sitting out of recess while everyone else played. As a suggestion, I recommend not only informing people of the policy right away, but also giving them a chance to follow the policy once informed. I would've put the phone away if the choice was given. But taking it and locking it up once I was obligated to stay made me feel like a child. It was embarrassing. Ultimately, after a few minutes of sitting alone and trying to compose myself, I decided to leave. I paid $25 (added tip) for my drink that was barely touched and went to get my phone out of the pouch. Unfortunately, I had to go back up to the manager who originally embarrassed me to retrieve my property back, which just added another layer to this awful experience. I hate writing this because I love the chef of this restaurant and the policy itself wasn't my issue, it was the execution. Honestly, it'll take a lot for me to come back if I ever choose to, as well as recommend this place to anyone.

Yelp
The manager found a table after I messed up my Drover reservation. He was very sweet and it was a Saturday night. Our waitress Michelle was excellent. The food was AMAZING.. It is unusually prepared but to me was flawless. We had the porkchop which was enough for 2 and the huge Caesar. The atmosphere is very sultry and is a good escape from the street activity. The meatballs were the best I have ever had .. and I am Italian! Overall a wonderful night at Caterinas.

Taylor Ann K.

Yelp
I would give this a 4.5 rating if Yelp allowed me. Not sure what all the crazy negative reviews are about. We had a fantastic time at this restaurant and the food was amazing. I totally dig the no phones thing. Food was amazing. We had the meatballs (not on the menu), whatever salad they were featuring (it changes), rigatoni, and the veal parmesean. All great! Our meal also came with complimentary sparkling wine to start, Parmesan and I think prosciutto, and limoncello. Yes, it's expensive but I don't necessarily think it's crazy overpriced. The Finer things in life cost more. The reason why I'm taking half a star out is because our cocktails weren't as good as they could be. My martini was not shaken enough and wasn't cold enough even after asking for it extra extra cold. My fiancé's old fashioned was too sweet the first time and then just right the second. If I'm paying this much I expect the cocktails to be perfect every time. The location confuses me as well since you got men in suits and then parties of women coming to dine in cowboy boots... the parking situation on the weekend is horrendous. Tim Love should build a parking structure in the stockyards next!

Jeri D.

Yelp
Outstanding dinner! We went to Catalina's as a party of 10 and sat in the private room. Everything we ate and drank was fantastic! The service was incredible and we loved everything. The rigatoni, meatballs, Caesar salad, Wagyu steak, etc were all incredible. We had such a great time! Loved it all!!!!! We are definitely coming back! Thank you for making our evening special and one we will all not forget!

Shaan B.

Yelp
Place is way over priced. Definitely better spots in Fort Worth for way less! Also they are trying too hard to be something they are not!

Haydee M.

Yelp
The food at Caterina's is the best food I've ever had! I've been to places in Dallas and I've been to places all over the country but the food was just so good .... the prices match the quality so keep that in mind. There is a no phone policy but I've always walked in and they let us know right away and they give us a pouch to lock up our phone. I do hate that we can't take pictures of our food because I really love taking pictures of the food and I really love the food but that's not something that's gonna stop me from eating there. Customer service is second to none. The vibe is very upscale. Gentleman must wear coats but if you don't have one they have some there that you can wear. This is my go to special occasion place. The food is amazing.

Kenneth B.

Yelp
We had our anniversary dinner there tonight .it was a very poor choice.ALL HAT AND NO CATTLE. The staff was very indulged and the food was very disappointing. Would I go back....Never

Yelp
I rarely ever send food back, but I had to send back two dishes and canceled our orders and went to another restaurant to have dinner. Our waitress recommended the meat balls so we ordered that as appertizer. OMG, the marina sauce was extremely salty. I could not even taste the tomato. I could only taste the salt. My tongue literally was stunted. I sent it back and ordered the fried zucchini to replace the meat balls. This dish was even saltier. I asked the waitress to taste it. The look on her face concurred with us that it was extremely salty and inedible. Had no idea what happened in that kitchen, but someone must have spilled salt into the marinara sauce and the batter for the zucchini. I asked for the bill to pay for the complementary prosecco charcuterie but the manager said we didn't need to. I left a tip for our waitress as she provided good service. I rated this dining experience with another star for the service. I am now terrified to give this restaurant another try. My tongue couldn't taste anything for a few hours.

Kelsey M.

Yelp
Tonight was our second time dining here, and the experience tonight was vastly different than the first. Very understaffed (extremely slow service) and not so great food (overcooked pasta, WAY overcooked lobster). Some dishes had great flavor (beef carpaccio) but others (lobster Alison) definitely missed the mark.

Gloria T.

Yelp
This Tim Love restaurant opened fairly recently in the Fort Worth Stockyards and four of us chose to visit for an early dinner. We had checked their web site that afternoon, just to find out that a jacket was required for the men---lucky we went online. We apparently were the first ones at the restaurant and were told that use of cell phones were not allowed, that we would have to turn them completely off. They then took the phones, put them into a pouch that was then locked. To our surprise the food was very mediocre and service was only adequate. However, the most annoying fact was that when we received our credit card statement, we saw that the restaurant had increased the amount of the total bill. Did they not care for the amount of tip we left? I view this as unethical if not illegal.

KC W.

Yelp
Wow!!! Amazing!!! Admittedly I read the reviews ahead of time. And I was worried as some reviews were trying to keep me from going this wonderful restaurant. I am amazed at the level of culinary indulgence my wife and I shared here. A beautiful 3-hour dining experience that was gracious, delicious and inspired. The flavors explode and the textures inviting more. Fortunately the portions are perfect for sharing (and encouraged). Staff was impeccable. We will be back and bring both in-town guests and out of town guests. A gem! The naysayers are either ignorant, tyrannical or just plain stupid.

Yelp
Caterina's blew my husband and me away! My husband and I love trying locally owned spots, but I haven't been awed by TIm Love's other restaurants... the quality just hasn't measured up, in my book. But this place is 10/10. Atmosphere: We went for our wedding anniversary, so my husband had his own jacket... and we'd read ahead, so we were prepared (and delighted, TBH) to relinquish our cell phones. This is a place made for intimate conversation. Dark wood, elegant fixtures. It was clubby glam. Service: Solicitous but not overbearing at all. My water glass was never less than half-full, but we weren't interrupted mid-conversation, either. Our waiter, Milos from Serbia, has amazing recommendations. We both appreciated that he recommended a four-course experience but, as opposed to trying to upsell us, suggested splitting the first three courses. Food: Wow. Just wow. We were served complimentary Prosecco, parm and prosciutto when we were seated. Then there was a complimentary mini-bread service. We split the meatballs - off-menu - to start. They were tender, juicy, and spicy... also a tad bit salty toward the end, but I'll take salty over bland any day. Next, we split a Caesar. Very generous helping. Wasn't the world's best Caesar, but I'd definitely order it again. The pasta... oh the pasta. We shared the linguine with clams, and it was ethereal. Really, really great. A little bit briny, a little bit buttery, just perfect. I enjoy sampling the whole menu (vs. my husband, who orders the same thing over and over and over at places), but I'd be hard pressed not to order this again. For entrees, my husband had the branzino. I didn't try it because I'm just not a fish person (and yes, I like clams), but he said it was flaky and he loved the herb sauce with it. I had the rabbit. It was crazy good. Spicy, sweet, sour... wow. I find rabbit meat itself to be a little blank canvas - kind of like very skinny chicken legs - but the prep was absolutely killer. Value: It's not cheap, and it's worth every penny. There are things here that you just won't find elsewhere in Fort Worth. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Let me start by saying the Prosecco and charcuterie was the best thing we ate. Oh the piece of bread was delicious. The beef carpaccio was good. The Araceli was ok, the sauce was way too salty. The gnocchi soup was extremely salty and tomatoey and had 2 Lima bean sized gnocchi in it. The Caesar salad was presented nicely, however flavorless. Onto the pasta the rigatoni was way too salty, I think my tongue is still stuck to the top of my mouth. The bucatini was good, however in my head I heard my mom say "twirl the pasta with your fork and spoon"... no spoon provided. The branzino was overly salted and that is all you could taste since the fish was paper thin. On to what we hoped would be the star... the veal chop Parmesan was a huge disappointment, $61 and the meat was mushy not tender.., kind of like a frozen piece of meat would be, the sauce may have been the same red sauce as the Araceli. The wine was very good, however the waiter did not notice empty glasses and did not pour more, although we handled that! We were there for a birthday and the waiter was reminded of this several times and no special recognition! The atmosphere was fantastic! However I guess they dropped the jacket requirement for men... that is too bad as it is always nice to see people dressed for dinner.

Yelp
good food, great service, went there for our 30th anniversary. When I made the reservation I chose the option on Open Table for flowers on the table. There were no flowers. Waiter asked if we were there for any occasion, which we replied, and it was never mentioned again. Great restaurants Great restaurants pay attention to details, just like great 5 star hotel. 11/12/2022

Yelp
TIM LOVE GO TO YOUR RESTAURANT AND SEE HOW BAD THIS IS... YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO HAVE YOUR NAME ON THIS, YOU HAVE LOST TOUCH ON YOUR RESTAURANT....The reason they won't let you have your phones is so you cannot take a picture of how bad the food is from presentation to taste....I wish I could rate a 0. Please do not waste your time or money here. I was here Saturday night with a party of 7, 8:15 reservation , we were so excited for this dinner. I love Italian and loved the idea of no phones and fine dining. Starting out with a sport coat required for men (which is so rare any more) I expected true fine dining. We walked in and were seated fairly quickly. Everything went downhill from there. Once seated we were then brought complimentary prosecco ( was fine but 1/2 of us just wanted a cocktail) We did not get someone to take a drink order for another 45 minutes. So it was 9pm before we got a drink.... Still no mention of food. My daughter had to get up after 40 minutes and get us menus because no one ever brought one. .. Finally the waitress came back and "explained" the menu starting we had to put in our full order at the same time, we could not get any food until we had decided on our entire meal start to finish and the restaurant would pace how food came out.. We were all literally starving at this point not even bread on the table. The waitress explained we should all each order antipasti, salad, pasta and an entree. That that was how the meal was designed, just felt like an upsell. Never told us about the food or specials, recommendations nothing. Just basically wanted us to order. After placing order it was another 30 minutes until first round of antipasti came out. We tried about 5 different starters nothing impressive, basically could have been any chain italian restaurant then salad came 30 minutes after that. so we were literally at 10:30 still no entree. We did chop salad and ceasar both again chain Italian taste just bland. During this time the waitress would disappear for 15-20 minutes at a time no asking to freshen drinks, I had to ask for wine list and she brought and walked away. So at this point still no entree. so around 10:45 the entrees came out food was freezing cold. 5 of 7 had to be remade. If it wasn't 10:45pm we would have walked out . They remade food... was below average but at this point we were just so hungry. ... There is so much more I could say about the lack of fine dining, but just don't go. Don't do it. It was such a disappointment. They are there for gimick, wearing the jacket, putting phones away, etc... I have never written a review in my life but this was so bad that i felt I had to. I am from Newport Beach, CA and the people we were with are from Seattle , WA we were visiting our daughters at TCU.

Yelp
I agree with the less than stellar reviews this place has been given. The food was mediocre at best. One of our pasta dishes was so salty, it was inedible. Everything came out hot - ish. The service started out ok, but then we had to ask where our waiter was just to order appetizers. Totally not worth the hype or the money. If you're going to require men to wear jackets and take cell phones away in addition to charging high end prices, things should be impeccable. Not impressed at all and would not recommend. You're better off getting wings and beers at Second Rodeo - right across the street and they never disappoint.

Yelp
Wow, I wanted to ask for a refund! We went here for our wedding anniversary and were incredibly disappointed. This place did not hold up to all the hype, plus the food was terrible especially for the price that you pay. You could tell the ingredients were low quality, our lobster was over cooked, the pasta was way too spicy. We will not be back here. Save your time and your money!

Yelp
This was a great experience! We were greeted as soon as we entered. After putting our phones in a bag, we were shown to our table. The server came right over. Kristen was great! She brought a bubbly rosé over to start and a drink menu. My daughter ordered a martini and I a Negroni. We were both given a small bite to go with our drinks, hers was a housemaid potato chip with crème fraîche and caviar. For mine, she brought over a housemaid chip with braised rabbit. She then brought a piece of Parmesan cheese and prosciutto for each of us. Then she brought over bread and olive oil. We then placed our order. We ordered fried zucchini, thin strips, lightly battered with the sauce on the side, very good. Next came the caprese salad a mixture of tomatoes, cut into bite-size pieces with some mozzarella balls with the balsamic vinegar on the top. Also very good. Then came the bucatini, perfect! The main dish was the grilled shrimp, with a side of mushrooms. Those were the largest shrimp I had ever seen great meal! Great service! A truly excellent evening!

Yelp
Our group of 5 went to this restaurant for the first time . I understand why they lock up your phone when you arrive , to enjoy the entire experience. However, I am a mom with daughters away at school on different time zones and one in Europe so I want to be available. So as my phone, which was locked in a special pouch, vibrated with text messages in my purse , it actually made more nervous wondering what I was missing . I feel that they could suggest you put your phones in a basket in the middle of the table and enjoy the experience versus being forced . Service was good, cocktails were excellent, bottle of wine was excellent , food presentation was excellent, food was very good . Rigatoni was a bit too spicy but we shared other pastas that were very good . We were trying to divide up the bill , no calculator as it's in our locked phone , tried to take a picture of wine bottle , could not as our phone was locked up . Would be 5 stars but did not like the forced locked phone.

Yelp
Won't be back so long as they continue to lock up all customer mobile phones in a case that only they can open. Big brother like. They said it is because they want their guests talking and visiting and not using their phones. That is their desired behavior control and maybe not what the customers want. There is no honor system here, like some private clubs who ask you not to use your phones and you don't. This is forced on the customers. And, not even effective for those with Apple watches. Food was good and waiter was great. Seating was very crowded downstairs and the banco is sunken and too low for comfort. We would have walked out at the outset but they had a required deposit in advance.

Yelp
Dining out should be a memorable experience. Part of keeping the memories is photographs of the event! The food was okay, not great, the service was excellent, it gets 1 star for them getting pissed off because we asked for photo of us at our table! Dumb ass rule. Tim needs to re-think. We won't be back, and we'll discourage anyone from going! EVER! Plus, they don't offer regular coffee for an after dinner drink, only espresso! Come on Tim!

Yelp
We had a phenomenal experience. Colton was a great server and had excellent recommendations & made the experience so enjoyable. The food was phenomenal. Everything had great flavor from the wines to the appetizers, entrees, & desserts. It can get pricey, but the experience and ambiance make it so worth it! Definitely a different and more upscale Tim Love experience than all of his other restaurants.

Yelp
Our dining experience and server were great; but for the price, the food left a lot to be desired. We had scallops, beef carpaccio, meatballs, Cacio e Pepe, rigatoni, veal parm, pork chop piccata and shrimp scampi. Food is just okay. Overall disappointing and definitely not worth the hype. Glad we tried it, but would not return. For the same or better experience and better food-- just go to Carbone. Also feel the need to mention that there is also only 1 restroom for the entire restaurant which was...interesting.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible food and service. We had the meatball appetizer, rigatoni, and pork chop. The service was impeccable, and each dish was prepared perfectly. Loved it and can't wait to go back!

Yelp
We went for my birthday and it was just exquisite and that is not a word I use. Our waitress was so sweet and helpful and just amazing. The food was very good. The hospitality is above what you normally find in Fort Worth - and I've lived and dined here forever. Think Carriage House level hospitality and you're there. The bygone days of customer service. The Negroni cocktail to start was the best I've ever had and made table side. I wanted to see what Tim Love would do with basic fried zucchini and it was delicious. The caprese salad was good. The salt and pepper pasta was good - too Al dente for me but that's me. The lobster Alison was the highlight. OMG. So good. I do not eat veal but our host did and the piece was so big that he took over half home. Get the Negroni and the lobster. My highlights. No one will have a picture to post because they put your phone in a little sleeve - they will take your Polaroid for a souvenir!!
