Catering by Komeeda

Komeeda hosted a private dinner for my engagement dinner, and everything was spectacular! I’m a foodie, and I love trying new food, and I wanted to share this experience with my family. Komeeda handled all the logistics: choosing the location, to choosing the amazing Chef, to the amazing food, the decor, the flowers. They did an amazing job, and I’d hire them for any of my events!

I attended a number of dinners and events hosted or served by Komeeda. I also used Komeeda for catering at a couple of events of my company. Spectacular!! As an event organizer I can say that here is finally an alternative to the traditional catering gigs in town!! All 80+ guests at our events said that the catering was one of the highlights! The best way to put it is ... AMAZING! Finding catering for a wedding is always stressful but I feel so blessed for coming across Catering by Komeeda. They were amazing from the price, to the food, to how the wedding day went... just amazing! Flat out hands down Komeeda is one of the best catering groups in NYC and one of the coolest platforms for local events in New York City. The Komeeda deal does such a phenomenal job of creating authentic food experiences and building meaningful community with foodies, change-agents and people from so many different cultures. I had the pleasure of attending a displaced kitchen event with them and absolutely loved it. Plus their food is phenomenal and the team is such a joy to work with and to support!

Best vendor experience! This vendor was amazing I don’t know even where to begin they were extremely professional, on time and followed all Covid regulations. The food was amazing and was exactly what we wanted. All of the guest at my wedding were extremely pleased and were raving about the food and service. They were able to follow all of our dietary restrictions as well as special food requests. I would definitely be booking them again in the near future for my next event. I highly recommend this company for your next event!

Komeeda – Could Not Have Asked For Better I would 100% recommend Komeeda Catering to anyone who is looking to put up an event that needs incredible food and service as well as contributing to an incredible mission. Komeeda, as a company, strives to create a multi-cultural experience tailored to the unique identities and values of who they are working with. From the very start of our experience, Jabber and Rosalee were helpful and collaborative in crafting a catering experience for our wedding that reflected the multi-cultural aspects as well as who we are as a couple. Through in-person meetings as well as over the phone, they made themselves available to us to implement adjustments to food choices as well as venue decorations we had to change in anticipation of the event. It was a feeling of relief knowing that we were in good hands from start to finish. This not only eliminated the usual worrying that comes with planning and anticipating a wedding, but also allowed us to enjoy the actual the experience of selecting food and decorations which reflected our identity as a couple. One of the highlights of the planning process was attending tasting with Chef Alex who prepared a myriad of interesting and innovative plates from both our cultures. He not only was friendly and very skilled but also took feedback in adjusting the flavor profile of dishes he was presenting. We could not have been happier and having a tasting so thoroughly thought-through gave us an accurate idea of how food would taste on the actual day (as it should!). Jabber and Rosalee were also very communicative along the way and were willing to not only accommodate our schedules but also where we would meet in the city. During the actual day of the wedding, the venue was beautifully prepared according to a “mood board” my wife and I designed for them to follow as a rough template of what we were thinking for decorative details (color scheme, table layout, etc.). They perfectly captured what we needed working with the venue owner to best accommodate the uniqueness of the space we had our reception at. As for the food, it was exquisite and people kept telling us how it was the best food they have had at a wedding as well as the friendliness of the servers. A couple of my friends also commented how incredible the bartender was and how she accommodated drink requests that were not necessarily on the menu. Everyone was amazed with the experience that Komeeda provided and their focus on details made everyone feel right at home allowing everyone to have a great time from start to finish. Jabber even remembered when we casually asked him if he could save us some hors d’oeuvres from cocktail hour as we missed it to take pictures before arriving at the reception. Guests were also pleasantly surprised when they were offered take-home boxes or another plate of food when everyone was dancing. Jabber and Rosalee took our own identities and values into account when they were able to offer compostable, bamboo kitchenware, which interested our guests and created awareness of environmental sustainability. Jabber and Rosalee are great people and great collaborators for events and we are grateful for the opportunity to have met and worked with them. They’re timeliness, professionalism and passion for the company mission, created an experience that is truly unforgettable for everyone. I had been following Komeeda for a while, and loved how they found great places to dine and gathered great people, pushing forward a great welcoming foodie energy that made it fun & tasty to attend, whether single or with friends. The events were cool, the cooking competition events were cool, and the prices were reasonable. Plus the lead guy Jabber has such a passion and a great energy. I know it sounds like I do their marketing, lol, but nah, I just like real foodie energy. So it was great to me that they've taken one of the great chefs from the competitive events and ventured out into catering more often. I went to a tasting recently and I LOVED IT. Same foodie energy with a 'not your average chicken & beef' selection of great food. Food is tasty and easily takes into account any type of ethnicity and variety one may prefer. Kudos to them & I cant wait until I can hire or go to an event with their catered food.
